I rarely give reviews. But GoodWood is hands down the best vintage furniture store in the area. Above their great items, they have the most amazing costumer service iv’e encountered. They will go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. Highly recommended!

While the selection is solidly 4+ star, the customer service is anything but. I concur with the reviewer who said the staff barely acknowledged their existence. Once the staff had deigned to answer my question, the two ladies behind the counter gave me that once-over, up-and-down glance before sneering and going back to talking to each other. I’m just… speechless. On principle, I won’t give my money to adults who behave like high school “mean girls.” It’s a shame, since I used to visit this store 10 years ago when I first moved to DC and looked forward to one day having my own rowhouse to furnish. Now that I do, I won’t be shopping here.

Love the items that they carry here, but I’ve found the staff to be rather unfriendly. I’ve stopped by a few times over the last few weeks and not once has an employee said “hi” to me or acknowledged my existence.

Pretended to be a thrift store but sold $230 pants. Some old and cool stuff but fake aged price tags? Really?

Fantastic ambience. The owners clearly have excellent taste and have curated an attractive, inviting space. Their inventory is high-end so don’t expect GoodWill prices but for what you’re getting they are very reasonable.

GoodWood is chock-full of special, high-quality vintage and vintage-modern pieces. The store is warm, bright, expertly curated, and the associates are super friendly. They also get a fresh batch of items weekly on Thursday, so youre sure to find a gem whenever you visit.

One of the best stores of any kind in Washington. Staff takes a close interest in what customers want. If you dont see what you want, they will survey their sources and find items that work for you. That said, its very hard to visit Good Wood without seeing a lot of furniture, tabletop, or other items that youd want to ride home with you. Last, there is an appealing, integrated aesthetic to the place that makes it a pretty nice and welcoming place to visit. 5 stars earned.

The antiques in DC are amazing. This place has furnitire from eras of many. The metal boxes that were from a DC metal box maker years ago, now in this antique shop was quite nostalgic - even for a guy who is new to this city. Tables, chairs, lighting .... very very cooooool!

One of my favorite activities is stopping in to gawk at all the beautiful curated collection of antiques. Gorgeous things that one day I will be able to afford please.
