This is my friendly, neighborhood market. Fresh fruit and vegetables. Bakery for fresh Middle Eastern breads and desserts. Olive and pickle bar. They also have canned goods as well as dairy and so much more. Great prices and great quality.

A small shop with all of the main items you might need. Good for picking a quick item while driving by. They also make sweets and food which are ok. But what I really like about this place is how awesome the staff are. Last trip I had there I couldnt find an item so I asked the girl at the cashier and she was super helpful

Products are good but they let shoppers and I saw an employee in the back walk around without masks. When I asked her if they allow it, she said theres nothing we can do. Yes you can. You can refuse their service until they put a mask on. Its simple.

Favorite little market. Their choice of 2 kinds of Lebanese Pizzas are really delicious (available at lunch time.) Their Olive Bar has a terrific variety of items at a good per pound price. They have quite the display of baked goods (even though I dont eat such.) Staff is always friendly & helpful.

Get a box of the meat pies and cheese breads, it’s love at first bite! My little daughter and I go crazy for their breads. I often get a mixed box of 12 To take for work as they are light and taste better then everyone else’s. Someone turned me on to this place by buying me some meat pies and cheese bread and I’ve never stopped coming here since.

Update 5-12-21 (Same 3 star rating)Went there today and noticed pricing is higher by 20 to 30% when compared to other Middle Eastern stores. I also noticed they dont carry some of the nuts variety I used to purchase. I dont think Ill be shopping there anymore.Old review:Good middle eastern store to shop at. Good pricing. Produce is a hit or miss in quality. I like their hot fresh bread. Employees need to build customer service skills.

Had to wait to be waited on not cause they were busy but it just seemed they didnt want to. Then didnt remember which one I liked they use to give samples so I was expecting her to give me a tiny piece of the two so I could get the right ones but instead I had to get 4 pistachio and 4 walnut baklava!

Had the feeling I was entering a Souk somewhere in Morocco. Kept scrupulously clean this market has any spice or spice blend you can imagine. I always pick up some cordamon, or hail in arabic which gives a slightly astringent but sweet touch when added to tea in a samovar. You can skip the samovar, Nuts and seeds? As they are very popular with their many Chaldean customers they are always fresh. Want a fresh rotisserie chicken? They got it. The produce department has Eastern Market prices. Breads, and freshly baked assorted baclavas, cakes for all occasions and scrumptious date filled pastry. One reason for freshness is that the owners Saad and Zeana supply their famous restaurants including a new one with banquet facilities that will open any day. Before I left I had to pick up a branch of seasonal unripened dates considered a delicacy, about a pound of loose whole walnuts, and a bag of sweet pluot plums. Almost forgot to mention their generous custom party platters made for any occasion, office or private. My home away from home is Sahara in Oak Park just off the Coolidge 696 exit on the corner of ten in the Parkwood Mall. Sahara an Oak Park fixture for thirty years is the first restaurant to be granted a wine and beer license in the history of the city. All their restaurants have banquet and catering for any occasion. Service for the market is hand picked, not just anyone can walk in and get that job as friendliness is their trademark and if you have any questions they bend over backwards to help you.Use a lot of rice and want to save bucks? Try any of their imported fragrant brands of basmati the king of white rice in bags that could last you for months at a fraction of the price groceries charge. It is impossible walk out with only one or two items. They make your average supermarket look like a 7-11. I have been a treated like family at their Oak Park restaurant for two decades.
