The other day my daughter and I came in and we brought back our change and the change machine jammed. A lady named Debra approached us and had to unjam the machine but taking all the dirty change out by her hands . I thought this lady was going to hate us but it was the completely the opposite . She was seriously amazing ! She had the best attitude and made humor about the Situation ! She helped us get our slip and asked if she could help us with anything else because she does mutable jobs lol ! When we were cashing out she took over the register to cover a break and seriously she made us just laugh and we adore her ! I have been coming to this Kroger since I was a kid and I’m 38 now . I believe she is a manager and this is my first time seeing her . I look forward to going back just to see her smiling face and positive attitude ! Way to go Debra! You are awesome ! Your a truer definition of what a leader is suppose to be ! Someone give this lady a raise !
Great store. I like how they have self checkout.
Save yourself from doing a pick up at this place. They are always behind. Most recently my order got delayed 2 hours, I stayed on hold an hour to cancel my order, only to see the next morning that I was charged and the order was not cancelled. So unless you want to be lied to, have your order delayed or charged for an order you never got, go somewhere else. I personally will never go back after this experience.
Well I used to work there and it is terrible were do I start I’m 16 and I was doing 72 hours a week in the summer then when school started back I told them a week in advance I could only work weekends because of football practice and why I get a call 2 hours later talking about you were scheduled for a 3 o’clock so I call them the next day like what and I said I’m only able to work weekends and they had the nerve to give me a ultimatum between work and school/football practice and I choose school/football practice because I’m not giving up my dreams for a job that only pays 11.40 and hour and I got another job that pays more and has a more flexible schedule
Between the various stocking issues of this kroger not reflecting what they say on the website and the way some employees act Im not returning. Price hikes on everything and all the checkouts are card only. This place has been going downhill since 2018 and I wont be back.
Great foodGreat pricesGreat peopleAssociates are always helpful and courteous
The store is really clean and they always have deals but be careful to check the date on shelf stable super low prices.
I dont understand why this Kroger stopped sending any kind of alternative milk (almond, coconut, etc.) Awful idea! Im not going again to this supermarket!
Sometimes its difficult to find parking, and once inside it can feel a little claustrophobic because it is so packed with items. Usually very busy, but you can find most everything on your grocery list here, however, be sure to check dates on items before you purchase them.
Dirty, shelves arent stocked, deli food looks like its been sitting out for weeks, the service desk was closed in the middle of the day. How is there a super Kroger on the same road just a few miles away and this location looks like a dollar store on a bad day?
Almost none of the items on sale were on sale, I got charged $2.50 for Kroger brand pepperoni when it was marked $1.50, and I was charged $1.69 each for Kroger brand Jalepeño kettle chips that were marked 2 for $3. Im using my Kroger card, why are you not honoring your sale prices? Very disappointed!
Boxes blocking aisles and self check-out is difficult to use.
This Kroger is a complete joke. I went there yesterday and spent about $70 in groceries not realizing half of them were EXPIRED!! I bought my usual Herdez salsa and checked the date - it expired in January 2021, that was three months ago now seeing how we are now in May. I also bought granola bars and chips and they are expired too. I regret not checking the date before I checked out. This Kroger is so conveniently located to my house but I will never step foot in there again. Not to mention how dirty this location is. Maybe they should actually have their employees do their job and take the expired sh*t off the shelves, JUST A THOUGHT. Get it together you are going to make your customers sick!
I saw an employee yell at a customer and tell them they were not allowed to have a service animal in the store. This is disgusting behavior. The service animal was very well behaved and working. They were not causing any problems and the employee went out of their way to say something about them. The employee was not wearing a name tag either but she had short brown hair with highlights.
Went there for an instacart delivery. The employees could not have been more helpful. Multiple times different associates helped me find what I was looking for. One lady took to multipule aisles and another associate. Aisles were neatly zoned and cleaned. I wish every store I went to operated as well
Deli is closed during the week and never leaves out pre-sliced deli meats when theyre closed.
The worst Kroger store I have ever been to. I called asking a question, was put on a hold for 5 minutes then got hung up on. Called again, it rang for 7 minutes and no one picked it up. Are you kidding me? I just had a question... The customer service here sucks
One of the worst Kroger Ive seen.Floors are Dirty. Employees they are rude. Expressing mold the fresh produce.
In the midst of the corona event...Multiple employees either not wearing masks or masks not covering nose. Spoke with manager whose mask was not covering his nose and stated some employees permitted to not mask on physician orders. One specific unmasked employee was stocking candy and gum at the register area. Perhaps she should have had a different assignment. He also stated that the CDC allows employees to not mask their nose so they don’t inhale too much carbon dioxide. Interesting...surgeons work for hours fully masked and this isn’t an issue.
This place is ALWAYS nasty and filthy, always understocked, and the employees are rude and hostile. I will crawl on my hands and knees thru broken glass and thumbtacks to Meijers before I ever go here again, and I live RIGHT ACROSS THE ROAD FROM THIS PLACE!!
Way better than the one in Hazel Park. The store is clean and well stocked. Its organized and the cashiers actually acknowledge you instead of grunting at you like the Hazel Park location. The produce is fresh.
The employees are very friendly and helpful. I have a kroger store closer to me but i choose to go to this one.
Not bad, have good deals sometimes. Cleanest grocery stores around. Sometimes the bread and fruits go quick. 🤷
Many employees not wearing mask the right way. Several under chin and nose. Step up and inform your staff to be mindful.
This is my hometown Kroger. The staff is usually friendly and the store is smaller and easy to access produce and various other items. A huge request for Kroger management, please continue stocking the large size of Kroger brand hazelnut spread!
Just awful.
I love this store specifically because it is smaller so I can get what I need and get home. I know many of the employees by name and they know me and ask about my kids etc. I love it!
Horrible location. No paper products for 8 weeks now. This morning no cashiers at all. Self serve line through the store. Took over an hour to check out. I dont want another job doing their work. Going here for 18 years but this is the last time.
Today lines for check out is 30 pep deep 45 min so far in line and all selfcheck out lanes are not up and running . But employee are very friendly 😁
This is the default grocery place for me and my family. Its nice and clean, and the employees are helpful. They have a good selection of stuff, and always seem to have what I need. Theyre rarely sold out of what Im looking for.Theyre also within walking distance from a movie theater, and have good sales, so if youre looking for a place to buy snacks to sneak in the theater, this is the place! But seriously, they have a sale going every few days. Its really convenient (unless youre on a diet)
Everything in stock. Short lines. Woman at self scan checkout was very nice and helpful.
October 19, 2020 at 12:50 pm lady employee came out to gather carts and was cussing loudly the entire time, yelling profanities and complaining about “this is not Walmart” the entire time. All carts collected were in cart corrals so unsure what the issue is.
Only 2 lanes open ...self checkout 9 deep
I am at the gas station pumping fuel.. while the advertised price shows $2.14I was charged $2.29 at the pump..When I asked the clerk to help me.. she ignored me and said that I am in correct..
Sometimes they can use a few more employees to help customers out. Also they should hire some baggers so the cashier could continue scanning everything get you out of the store faster
The lady at the fresh fish counter was exceptionally rude, and unwilling to cut fresh salmon in to filets for me to purchase. I wanted the whole piece, just cut. And so rudely told no. Its that or nothing. I will not be back. Nothing it is.
Kroger is always well stocked with food and other items you may need. The Best Place to get cakes!!!!!!!!!
The Kroger at Dequindre and 12 mile isamazingly clean not to mention staffs extremely courteous theyre very well aware of people waiting in line they open up second lines when they try to see if there is a backup. They stock the shelves accurately. It is not often that I cant find things because of their relatively continuous operation. Their produce always is fresh always clean always well stocked. I would give this Kroger on Dequindre, 4 and a half Stars out of five.
Awesome due to Joyce who was my cashier. Her spirit is so full of life and joy in which I appreciate in this time that we are living. Kroger, Joyce exemplifies customer service and not only that, she is what people need to encounter daily. There are so many people suffering within their spirits and have nothing or anyone uplifting in their life when they need it the most. God Bless Joyce.
I could smell the chicken being fried outside. Had to get some. Amazing. Love this place. They always give the kiddos a free cookie and make shopping comfortable.
Ive been in quite a few Kroger stores and this one is outstanding. When you encounter pleasant and helpful workers, you know its being run correctly. Seeing the same employees also lets you know its a good place to work.
A variety of vintage used clothing with some trendy stuff. For active wear, it is very hit or miss. The pricing is excellent though so I check in every now and then.
My husband and I shopped there the other night and I was surprised to see how well they were stocked despite the latest panic and hoarding. However, they were out of toilet paper and paper products as well as other stores, so that cannot be used against them.
Ive been going here for the better part of 15 years. Baggers walk around like they dont see you. I dont work there, so Ill wait for the cashier to bag my groceries. I figure that I dont ask them to go to my place of business and do my job for me, so they shouldnt expect me to do theirs.
What made this a 4 star visit was the 2 ladies at checkout. They wanted me happy to shop Kroger they tried so hard to make me happy. You ladies are assets to the store Thank You!
Clean store with lots of decent advertised sales, IF you have a Kroger card. Layout of the store seemed kinda awkward. Existing and entering the store was confusing as to which doors to use. Store clerks were all very nice and helpful. We also used the gas station in front of the Kroger store and that was a pleasant experience also. Average gas prices for the area. Outside was very well lit up, with plenty of parking spots and gas pumps. When in this area we will return :)
Probably the best grocery store in the area. But we are not saying much there. A little bit bet selection than most nearby groceries. But not near as nice or as well stocked as the nearby Kroger on 12 Mile just inside Royal Oak. The other store is worth the drive if you want a more upscale selection.
Bottle machine employee was RUDE to my son. Then the glass machine broke down because she ripped the bin out because she had to change it and split the wire connection. So we go to service desk and then we are 7 deep in line.l with one person working. Two managers standing by checkout lanes doing NOTHING. No call for assistance or ANYTHING!
Went in to exchange an item. Was in line 15 mins and lady at service desk only waited on 2 people the entire time I was there. She had no sense of urgency with 6 people in line in front of me. She kept stopping to talk on the phone and with other employees and she never called for help, nor did anyone else. Maybe there was no one else to help out. Either way, if youre in a hurry, dont go here.
Great place to get your daily foods! Products are fresh. Price is reasonable. Collection is really good. But you have to get the kroger reward card to get the foods at a lower price. Dont worry, you can make the reward card within few minutes and its completely free. Employees are always there to help. Overall, i will recommend Kroger to my friends and families!
I waited a half hour to get someone to help me with the flowers and went to the customer service desk to ask someone to page the flower department. The woman at the customer service desk barely acknowledged me, didnt apologize for my wait and begrudgingly called it over the intercom. I waited another ten minutes and no one showed up. I dont understand why people act like theyre doing you a favor when its their job to help.
Kroger itself is generally a good chain. Some of the employees at this particular Kroger need some customer service training. The woman behind the meat counter didnt seem like she wanted to help anyone, and it was a bother to ask her for a steak, and a salmon fillet. The cashier was adequate at best. The bagger couldnt be bothered to even keep up with the slow pace of the cashier. Ive been there a number of times. This is the norm not the exception.
The staff here are what really bring the rating down because there are some really good sales and they give out a free item every Friday. I dont know how they treat the staff, but Im guessing it is not good by the morale. I still go because it is close and I like the deals. Go for the deals and try to leave fast. This place is almost always busy so go late or really early.
This Kroger’s has been around forever. Still looks the exact same from when I was younger. Would be nice to have a face lift.
I like kroger any way and a loyal customer . so no thing special about this one other than the nice people . and the good deals they have .h.highly recommended
Shelves not adequately stocked.. Aisles filled with boxes blocking products on shelves. I always end up going without items that they dont carry that other supermarkets carry.Pet Fresh is sold at Royal Oak store not Madison Heights. Fresh produce very limited. Poor selection of watermelon and cantalope in season. Inferior to other Krogers. Employees complain about being understaffed, bombarded with customer complaints, and management puts on show when they know corporate is going to visit. I told corporate to come unannounced to see what really goes on. Im really surprised they stayed open after Royal Oak store opened. Who would want to not go there instead??Customer service extremely slow.
It was great I got to see all my favorite employees Darius Shelley Joyce all the ladies who take care of me when I come into the store and gentlemen I cant say anything better its nice to go to some place that they all know you.
Love this Kroger! The sales staff are always so helpful!! Clean, organized, and generally has so.e good deals. I really also like the location because its close to my house;)
As far as Kroger stores go, it is small and outdated looking. Went there right after work to get groceries for dinner, the place was very busy and they had only two lanes open. Ive never managed a grocery store, but I feel like lines wrapping around the whole front of the store warrants an extra staff member or two on a register. That being said, the ladies behind those two registers and the gentlemen bagging groceries were getting people through remarkably fast.
Worst Kroger in Michigan. Dirty, mismanaged and uncaring staff. Meat market always empty of staff. Broken doors, groups of smokers out front. Not sure if the employees are hired or doing community service...
I was hired by Kroger and was treated horribly. During the application process I informed the hiring manager Matt and Jim that I had gastritis and in the mornings I feel the effects of it. I was hired for overnight clerk but I wasnt being trained for that. They scheduled me for mornings against everything I told them about my medical situation. I was fired for poor work performance it was a waste of my time and I feel my lively hood was taken for granted. The poor performance was because I wasnt working fast enough during the pain I was feeling anytime I worked during the morning hours.I wasnt trained properly. The person they put in charge to train me barely was there to show me anything. I had to figure it out alone. There wasnt any support from any other managers. Since they were short on people they tried to use me instead of putting me where they hired me to be.Ive witnessed racial discrimination in the store. Watching Jim and other white males target black customers. Ive seen him Jim surround an elderly African American women accusing her of stealing. The African American employees speak of his lack of respect for them and how he lacks sympathy for other situations.I feel like I didnt get a fair shake at Krogers because of my medical situation and there lack of management and training. Very unprofessional and I wouldnt advise anyone of color or anyone to try to work for this establishment.
This Kroger is outdated and dirty. They treat their employees poorly. The are under staffed. I sometimes use the red box here but I do not grocery shop here the store selection in comparison to even the 9 mile hazel park store is poor. Go out of your way to go to 12 and Stephenson its worth the better quality and selection of food and goods. Not to mention better customer service and a cleaner store.
Great store all my needs are always met. Huge savings!! Have food, household supplies and adult beverages. One stop shop.
I mainly go there for their pharmacy. They give excellent discounts through good rx and the workers there are very nice and helpful.I like their fried chicken and ribs. They are the best. Not so happy with the pricing on the produce. Its expensive. $2.00 for 4 small salad cucumbers, really? Thats why I go to Meijer for most of my shopping.
Their produce sells out quickly when on sale. The staff lacks product knowledge when it comes to the gift cards they offer and tobacco they sell. Self check out can be annoying and messy at times. Sometimes being rung out by a cashier is well worth it. I only go to this Kroger for a quick in and out, never to do my actual grocery shopping because the variety of items is limited IMO
Maria in the Pharmacy is the best. My english is not the best and she made a point to understand what I needed and I thank her very much and will look for her in the Pharmacy again
The deli department is amazing. Very friendly and always fresh. The employees in the deli are very accommodating! Love this store!!!!
Worst Kroger ever! Had to bag my own groceries several times. Employees are not friendly at all. They dont like white people. Seemed there for a moment they had a good store manager. But havent seen him in months. Back to the same ole crap there. Ill just go to the new one over on Stevenson.
Typical Kroger... nothing in stock and over an hour wait to cashout. 2 lanes open with over 10 people in each line. When are you going to sell to a Grocery chain that actually cares for the business they operate.
They had my items I needed.
5 star for having halal food (end of isle 13). Small selection but still, its always nice to have options.
Great little store. If you have a Kroger card&buy Kroger items, you get really great deals at low low prices
Its a good grocery store. Just wish they had more Miller Chicken Wings available.
This Kroger location is convenient and has plenty of parking . Compared to most Krogers this store is small and has less stock, but much faster to get the job done . Friendly cashier.
Meat counter was very helpful. Found lots of great values there. Plus I got to save a lot of money on gasoline.
I stop at this Kroger mainly when I need to get gas too. The store is big and has a lot of choices. The prices are the same as my local Kroger so I dont mind shopping here. I just need to take some time to get use to their layout. The staff arent quite as friendly as my local Kroger, but maybe thats because they are so busy?
They really need to train their staff in better customer service practices and clean up this location
Love this place, they are always stocked up, and the Kroger card saves you a bunch of money. I saved $55.00...... Who doesnt love saving money right...
They always have sale items in stock when I go there. The Kroger on Hoover just south of 696, very rarely has what I need. I will now drive a couple of miles farther, to get supplies in one trip.
Wow, what rude people. I normally shop the Hoover Kroger. But with the power outage had to shop here. I was reminded why I do not like this Kroger. Cashier and Bagger were very rude. I tried having a conversation with them and they seemef to put off to speak with me. I do not like this Kroger and I will avoid this branch at all costs.
I really do like shopping at Kroger the price not to bad and I always meet someone I knowAre dont know but I enjoyed talking with them.one lady ask me do they have cards,And I ask her what kind of card, she said BDAYI told her the last idle. Then what I know one of my neighbor was shopping also!! He asked me do I ever shop John R and 9mi I said NoI like it here because I know where everythingis., He said He do to. ok Kroger a gift card.
Very kind and helpful, Ive never had a store agent just tell me which isle a product is in they always take me straight to the item Im seeking
Very helpful stuffs. Good assortment of items.
Every time I go there the cashiers and baggers steal from me. If I pay for my items and you don’t put it in my bag. That’s theft. You must check all of your items before you leave the store.Management will tell you it’s your fault that the employees stole from you.
Bag our grocery with bread on bottom.Cashier engage in loud onversation with coworkers and disregards your questions, they dont have answers to simple store questions.Produce goes bad much quicker then other stores.Employees and management cuss loud when walking in store so loud my kids comment on it.Always put their kid friendly carts outside when it is raining so theyre covered with water.
Stuff should be focused on consumers, not on conversations that are INAPPROPRIATE to have in front of customers. Whats going on in the world? People really this dumb? I work with the public, you do not have personal conversations in front of your customers!!
Kinda a smaller Kroger, But Still a good store. I think its an older store too but I dont know for sure.
Only the best freaking place ever. So glad a stay close. I live in their deli lol. Im a little sad about the recent price increases in things like eggs, milk, sausage. Come on Kroger...😒 still love you guys though 😊
Decent prices when on sale. meat quality is better than meijer by far
Had more items than usual. Not out of many things. Some items not priced or difficult to find price posting. Seems to be cleaner.
VERY Helpful staff. Always busy. The staff deserve 5 stars.
Expired foods out for sale, very messy aisles, panhandlers in & outside, no service available at the meat/seafood counter.however, a very nice & efficient cashier and bagger; Isayah. 2 thumbs up for those employees!
Nice market, self check works great and some goods are very chip (like eggs, milk, ...)
Love all the specials... grapes... strawberries... oranges... Arizona Tea
Some of the people in the deli dept are not very nice. Christy the person in charge seems to enjoy making fun of customers and actually believes they dont know she is doing it.
Always love going here. Krogers keeps everything I need within my budget.
I was just there at 10 pm on 12/5/2017 and the cashier on the self checkout was so occupied talking to a customer getting to know them then checking my Id for my beer. It was so ridiculous, waiting after 10 minutes I grabbed my beer and went onto a cashier when they were socializing. Are these workers even here to work or hang out? Btw to the self checked out person, are you that thirsty to talk to that guy then do your damn job? Fkn lazy ass people
KROGERS IS THE BEST IN ALL DEPARTMENTS
