Came up to this location to sell an xbox one, I was told by the lady working that I would just need any controller to sell it with. Since they didnt have any money yet she offered to buy just the wireless remote. She did this knowing that I wanted to sell the console later and only had a wired controller. Later I was told by another gamestop employee that I would need a wireless controller to sell it with the xbox or have the amount of the wireless controller subtracted from the total. Not sure if it was an honest mistake but its obvious they have no idea what they are doing here...

Dont go on line shopping they will shipp u a broken system and when u call to get a costumer satisfaction we will give u a return in 3 to 5 business days or get another one shipped out to u why cant I bring in the bad system and out with a good one nice to know my money doesnt matter to u but with out costumers how do u pay employeesWell I know how we used to deal with that is boycott

Theyre always super nice and helpful here. They only let a few people in the store at once due to corona so you might have to wait outside for minute. But totally worth it.

Raising the review on this compared to my previous lower one. The staff here has been much more helpful and pleasant recently. Prices have been pretty decent on some of the items I have purchased around the most recent holiday season. Definite improvement in the last 2 years.

Ive been going to this location ever since I was a teenager. I pretty much like going to GameStop in general. But I like going to this one the most. I havent ever had a bad location here. I can usually find what I want to buy or find something I would like to get.

Great things come in small packages. The on-site staff at this location go well above and beyond to satisfy any needs, questions, or concerns you may have. So far they have never let me down when looking for a particular item or game, they always have what Im looking for in stock and ready to go. The only reason I give this place a 4 star rating is due to their lack of answering the phone. On several occasions and all throughout the day might I add.. I have tried to contact them via the in-store phone but alas.... They never answer. So unfortunately I have always had to go out of my way to find out if they even have something in stock luckily though every time so far they have never let me down. If the phone service gets any better I would gladly change my rating to a 5 star hands down.

This is the location to go to! Theres another GameStop right around the block from us and the difference in both employees and products is huge. I came here to pick up a game for my boyfriend the night it was released. The employees had it setup so that everyone was in and out of the store quickly whether they preordered or not. Im not really a gamer, and its pretty obvious due to my lack of basic gaming knowledge, but everyone who was working there was incredibly friendly and gave me great suggestions on new games to try out (without being pushy) which I definitely appreciated! I was treated with nothing but kindness and respect here and will definitely be a return customer to this location!

Terrible place to buy or sell anything. Buy a new game today for $60, trade it in tomorrow and they will only offer you $30 at best, then turn a round and resell it for $55. Controller prices are nuts, example: they sell new ps4 controllers for $65! Wal-Mart sells the same ones for $40. Only thing that game stop is good for is if youre looking to get a new release as it will be the same price anywhere. As far as used games, go to disc replay, way better prices. Honestly Im surprised Game Stop is still standing. I wouldnt ever recommend anyone go to Game Stop for anything. If you liked being ripped off as either a seller or a buyer then be my guest and go to Game Stop. And no this isnt because I had a bad experience here (staff is cool for sure). Just do youre research and you will know they are known for being a place that will rip you off.

I was always into games way back in the 70s and 80s when gaming for me started. So when I heard about the GameStop back when they opened back in 1984 I thought WOW a store built just for me. I been to many GameStop locations but I really do like the staff members at 11 mile and Hoover in Warren Michigan they are awesome.. so I highly do recommend you stop by and meet the staff there say hello and most importantly buy some games.

Well today I went in the store and it was excellent customer service! A big shout out to Curtis the Cashier/stores associate for helping us! Not only did he help me find what I was looking for he also helped my mom get the cord she needed for her Ipad!! I would definitely recommend this game stop over any others.

Worst phone experience I have EVER had with a retailer. You must wait through a recording and navigate menus to speak to a store associate. Once it patches you through, they have what seems like 10 seconds to pick up before the automated system tells you they are too busy and hangs up. I have had no problems in the store, or with staff. The automated phone system, however, is complete GARBAGE, and I recommend you do not use it.

Had a problem returning something a few months ago. My girlfriend was told by the store leader she needed the card she payed for to return it. Which isnt the case since she called another Gamestop and was told she didnt need it. She went back and was able to return the item but the SL had an additude because she was wrong. Keep in mind ALL this to save the store $6.

I can’t even begin to explain the feelings I have for the GameStop at 11 and Hoover. Let me start by saying I was in there a few weeks back and was trying to return a controller. Mind you even of it was opened their return policy says you CAN return brand new opened items within 30 days. I had bought it that morning from the same lady I was returning it to (the manager Tamara) whom says she’s been manager here for 10yrs. So I walk it and say I would like to return this. My son decided he didn’t want it. Tamara says it looks like it’s been opened. Do you mind if I open it? Sure, go ahead I say. She opens it pulls the controller out and says there are finger prints on it. It’s been used. So if you don’t mind bringing back the controller you swapped this one out with I’ll gladly return it for you. I said you just touched it. Those are probably your finger prints. She went back and forth with me all the while humiliating me in front of a store full of people. Talking to her assistant manager..Before I gave up asked for corporate( whom I never called, and don’t know why) I left there in fury. I can’t believe I was treated the way I was, and humiliated like I was. I left there and went up the road to the GameStop at 14 and vandyke. Where I had not a problem at all getting my money back and was treated with respect. I then explained my situation to the gentleman there whom informed me that there is a bar code on the controller itself that should match the bar code on the box!!! Mind you Tamara is supposed to be manager of the 11 and Hoover location for the last 10 years! 10 years and you don’t know that the barcodes should match? I call to inform her on this information and let her know I felt humiliated and should ha w handle things differently. She wasn’t there I left a brief messages with an associate who told me they were the assistant on duty then. She apologized and said she would relay he message to Tamara. Now this is our Go To store. It’s right around the corner. I went today still with no hard feelings of my humiliation to buy the new FarCry 5, a $64 game! Who happens to be the only one there when I walk in Tamara! I still proceeded to ask for the game. I then have to ask if she remembered me and wanted to know if the message was relayed. I asked with respect and remained polite. She says No, I don’t. I start to say a couple words and all he sudden she remembered, but all she has to say is I called her old, and made fun of hers and her assistants appearance!! Are you kidding me?! First off no! Second off was the importance of the message even relayed? I said no I did not, and if I did that’s not the point of the matter here. She says you’re right it’s not. I say I just can’t seem to understand who you aren’t aware of the barcodes matching. It would have save me the humiliation and time. She says she thought she handled it well. TELLING a customer in a store full of people to bring back the correct item and accusing them of wrong doing was the correct way to handle the situation I guess. That’s not it though. As I said I’m back to buy be New Game FarCry and she then says if that’s all the way you feel and you feel I humiliated you why did you come back? Why did you come back to my store? I was so baffled. I could believe she said that! Mind blowing! I said are you serious? Why did I come back? This is where I always buy from, but not as of today! Never again. I asked for my money back and walked out. Suck a shame. I just hope the point of how to handle situations and informing her of the barcodes for across so no one else in the future has to deal with what I did🤷🏼‍♀️🙄

This store is rough! Always packed unless you go in there at obscure times. The store is tiny practically one aisle way of a normal store. I swear half the time I cant understand how so many people fit in this tiny store. Also, the staff arent very helpful. Theres been instances where Ive went up there and one employee would tell me merchandise was unavailable and another would go in the back and grab it. The staff harasses me about the dumb Powerup rewards card which I dont need since I dont buy used games there let alone any games at all. Overall a very bad experience. With so many GameStop stores and big box stores in the area theres no reason not to drive another mile or two down the road to a better store.
