The folks at this auto care center are fantastic they even stayed late after closing to make sure that we got our vehicle back the same day so that we could get to work the next day. Cant say thank you enough or say enough good things about these folks. Give them a try you wont be disappointed with the customer service

Got here 30 minutes before they closed. needed four tires put on my car. they stayed open past their closing time to help me out. technicians are very friendly and knowledgeable.

Worse tire shop I ever dealt with sell me tires with warranty and when one goes bad make go through hoops even through it was 2 months old and still wanted me to pay some portion for a new tire whole sale tire in Warren is the only place I’ll be going from know on always have done me good

Was in from out of town and needed quick tire fix. Although the first try didnt take i brought it back the next am and they fixed it right away no question, no attempt to charge more.

I ran over a screw in the road and was losing air so I called Monroe and they got me in and out and did not charge much for it. I am very thankful! These were new tires.

Not only were their prices more than double double their competitors, they stole items out of my car while it was in for a quote. their handwritten now hiring sign should have been my first clue about not leaving my truck with them. my fault for leaving items in my truck to be stolen, but when I told the manager he told me I was full of it and needed to leave. Worst experience with any mechanic Ive ever had.UPDATE: I called the number below, hoping theyd offer me some sort of explanation or even a simple apology, the woman on the phone was arrogant and had no regard for my experience and seemed more concerned about getting off the phone, and explained to me that they had no responsibility for the items stolen while my car was there as if it was a non issue and my fault. thanks for your response, but next time maybe try and do better Monroe.

Terrible service! Will never do business there. Had an appointment & was told that the service maybe completed next week. Manager claimed only two people working, with two cars on lifts and the other guy no where near any vehicles, just standing around.

Great service, fast appointment. They stayed open later so I could get my car the day I dropped it off. They topped off my tires and saved me money. Happy to do business and will be back without a doubt.

Waited over an hour and a half to have my oil change finished. Staff was less than friendly when I brought my vehicle in. Like it was an inconvenience that I brought my vehicle. Then they came out and wanted to charge to top off wiper fluid, when almost every other place does this for free, in addition to being cheaper. Will go to Midas in the future.

I had a set of tires delivered there, had the install appointment two days later. Tires were on and done in ninety minutes, and thats with on alignment!

Women beware this place will rip you off

My father took his Chevy Silverado here, asked them to look at his tires and see if anything is wrong. They are also supposed to do a 32 point check. They called him back and said the tires were fine but my father knew there were nails in 2 of the tires and he told them that, they said theyd call him back. When they called him back they confirmed that 2 of the tires had nails in them and gave him what we considered to be a bad price for them to be replaced. My father decided he wanted to go to a different place to get cheaper tires and they told him they wouldnt put the tires back on the truck because it was too dangerous. Yet when they called him the first time they said everything was fine and they were going to let him come pick it up in that exact condition. These guys dont even have the mental capacity to check if tires have nails in them, dont trust them to work on your vehicle. I have had them quote many different jobs on my vehicles and every time I get an awful price. I go to Jeff Byards Auto on North Park Ave and they always give me a better price and they have never skipped doing something that I specifically asked them to do. If Jeff is too busy I go to Midas on 422, I will never go to monroe or recommend them to anyone I know.

Service manager is very knowledgeable and polite. He doesn’t try to push you into anything. Gives you the facts and let’s you choose what you want to do. I like doing business here.

Manager Dave was very friendly and personable. He took my car in quickly without an appointment and the gentleman who put new tires on my vehicle did a great job. I feel like I drive on a cloud now! Very smooth ride. I felt comfortable there and was assured that I was welcome to come back. I will definitely be a returning customer.

Everything is fixed and is running as smooth as silk. Worthy of a 5 star review. However, I had to ding them a star because I asked to have my exhaust fixed and they forgot. So I still need my exhaust fixed and was expecting everything to be fixed. Other than that, great service. Prices can be a bit higher but youre also getting professionals, not someone working out of their own garage. Very satisfied! Edit. I had a problem with car after they fixed it. Not their fault like the manager said we dont make the parts we just install them. Anyway, replaced the faulty part for free. And fixed the rattling inn my exhaust. Bumped it up to 5 stars 500 dollars worth of repairs for free. These guys Are great and stand behind their work!

Worst place. I was told I needed ball joints on the front left side and the guy said it would be 520 came to find out after having my van sent somewhere else that there wasnt nothing wrong with my ball joints. Also I needed brake hoses in the front and my brakes bled I was told it would be 320 but the other place I sent it to charged me 150. Monroe will never have my business again!

Cleanliness was impeccable. All caution was used, everything was wiped inside the store and in the car. I believe I received a fair price and the staff was friendly. Most of all with these kinds of places, nothing else was found to be wrong with my car. I left with great respect for these folks.

I love it here! I get my oil changed here regularly, they send me a reminder of when I need one, along with a coupon! I just got a wheel alignment after buying a new tire every two weeks for forever now! I’m extremely satisfied! Another local shop wanted 800$ of work done on my front end before they would even do it. They also charged me 20 bucks for the initial inspection which Monroe did for free. Monroe seemed to be more honest since I only had to fix one thing at 122$ before they could align it. Huge difference, clearly, and it’s done right! Big weight off my back! Thank you!

They did a great job but 3.5 hours for tires and alignment after the car was pulled in seems a bit much. Good quality just be willing to wait and also hear what else is wrong with your car...that probably doesnt need fixed yet.

Made an appointment on Wed. April 29,2020 for Fri. May 1, 2020 for an oil change at 11am. Got here 5 minutes early, saw a man waiting outside because he didnt have a mask, he was not allowed in (understandable). But it was raining and chilly. He had been waiting almost 2 hours for his car, I was there for an hour of him waiting. As Im writing this post I have been waiting over 1 hour and a half, FOR AN OIL CHANGE. That should only take 30-40 minutes. For an oil change I had an appointment set for. Never coming back here again, that is ridiculous. There is no one here either, just me and the two mechanics. Should not take this long.

Dave at Monro is a good guy who takes care of his customers no matter the time and works with you to get your car right in a reasonable time and reasonable price. I have only taken my car to Monro for oil changes to repairs and have never had a major problem. I would definitely recommend for anyone in the area.

Are the prices the greatest? No. But theyve had great staff every time Ive been in there. Theyve also went out of their way to get me service at the end of the night. Its a dependable spot, in my opinion.

I stopped in to make an appointment for an Oil Change and instead the manager said we can do it now. It included all the checks and they saw my drivers side front tire had major issues. Dave took me over to show me that I needed a new tire quickly which I approved. I also got an alignment and rotation. They were great and so helpful and friendly.

Went there on a Saturday roughly two hours before close, had them do a tire and rim swap out and they got it done with no appointment in that time frame on a weekend with reasonable charge. Very pleased ;)

Very unproffesional rude

Service is good and bob was great at explaining the prices and the need for an alignment but be prepared to wait all day. I got 4 tired and an alignment and was told it would be about an hour when I made the appointment then when I got there I asked how long because I have a baby he said hour -hour and 15 minutes. I was there from 1045-230pm waiting for almost 4 hours for tires and an alignment. Unfortunately I will not be returning so getting their credit card was a waste!

I was going to have a friend help with fixing my brakes but I kept getting the run around. Ive only ever came to Monro once before many years ago and I decided to stop in for an estimate. They werent too busy so not only did my jeep go back quickly but they took me back and showed me what was going on. Its nice they take the time to educate you on what is going on. I never like how other places keep everything under wraps. I also usually go to valvoline for my oil changes but Im going to switch to here. I didnt know they did brake inspections when doing the oil changes. The gentleman behind the counter was very nice and informative. Definitely will be back!

They’re the absolute best. I legit waited around at Walmart forever and 10yrs I called them 20min till close and they got me in immediately. Fast quick oil changes and all. Wonderful people and does their best to price match you. I’d totally recommend this place to anyone!!!

I have always been pleased when having work done at Monro on Elm road but was very disappointed to find out that the kitty that has been hanging around for years is no longer allowed to stay and roam at the shop. He is very friendly and a joy, the guys take good care of him...they make sure he has food and water and above all love. Not sure why he has to go!!!

I had a flat tire on my motorcycle and these guys were the closest place to me that was open. Unfortunately the tire couldnt be saved but these men still went out of their way to help me locate the problem and allow me to wait for me to have my bike towed. Very nice people to say the least.

They are pretty nice and were upfront with pricing. They seemed to do a good job and answered all my questions. I highly recommend them.

I just got a quote from them that included almost $800 just in parts. I purchased the same parts (all Moog Problem Solver) through Rock Auto, delivered to my door, for $213.I dont have anything to compare their quoted labor charges to, maybe that portion was fair, but the part prices were absurd.To whomever at Monro: Congrats for having a price match policy, but if I cant count on you to not try to rip me off in the first place, Im not going to do business with you.

David Black is an amazing mechanic and human being. I drive an ice cream truck from Akron and my belt broke on a Sundayn afternoon. He said he would look at it and stayed an extra 3 hours past closing time to fix it and get me back on the road and safely home. Thanks David. I will never forget you.

#1 Had a brake line leak by my rear passenger side tire. When I went in the guy, named Frank, said, why do you THINK you have a leak. Well I know because I bled my brakes and saw where it was leaking.#2 Said I needed 10 ft of brake line and a bleeder screw (a $5 part). Total would be $560.#3 When I sounded unsure of this price and told him I would call him back he said well I can go down to $490. If you are giving me an honest price, how can you just take off $70?What he apparently didnt know is that I usually do my own work and I am well versed in cars. The only reason I didnt this time is because I am 7 months pregnant.I got all of that plus a rear wheel cylinder at A&M for $170. Everything is working great.

Called ahead and they said they would fit me in for an oil change. Upon arrival nobody at desk to check me in. Left after a while unnoticed. Valvoline express right next door was great.

Took my car to get aligned... Charged me $104 to align my car. It still pulls to the right. Took it back and got talked to as if I am ignorant. Tried saying it is the road. Ok. If that is truly the case why doesnt it ever pull left? Why doesnt my truck. Or other car pull due to the roads?

People who complain about the service time need to understand that Monro is a full service repair shop and you are told at the counter that in the process of getting your oil changed you will be receiving your FREE general/brake inspection as well as your FREE tire rotation for most vehicles and could take up to an hour or so. If you are looking for that 15 minute oil change very closely look next door at the quick lube but dont be upset if you choose that route and dont get told about a possible/future/dangerous/needed repair to your vehicle.

Went in today for oil change at 11:30 and not one car in one bay but was told they couldn’t do it until 3:30. When I asked why since they were all standing around talking the guy got very rude and said we aren’t a quick lube. Not sure what that was supposed to mean but I won’t go back! Now I’m at another locally owned place down the road and they will have my business, money, and recommendation from here on out. There was no need at all to be rude!

Took my vehicle there for an oxygen sensor replacement and they installed it in the wrong spot. They then argued about the location. I had to show them the diagram and they still denied being wrong. Use caution here. High prices for repairs and limited knowledge on newer cars.

Im able to be seen usually the same day if I schedule online for an oil change. They usually take more care than valvoline which I appreciate. However, they dont report it to carfax like Valvoline does and I wish they would. The oil change price is about the same as valvoline, plus or minus a couple dollars. I wouldnt get any major repair done here if you dont have to because their prices are higher than some other places...which is why Im giving 4/5. They also sometimes try to scare you into getting more than you really need at the time but preventative maintenece is never a bad idea. Overall, a great group of guys! And theyre pretty honest. Apparently the manager is there 7 days a week and NEEDS A VACATION so Im understanding of his attitude sometimes....you just gotta brush it off.

Terrible mechanic and service who thinks everyone is an idiot. Recommended services that were unnecessary and overpriced (needed a new manifold which costs $80 for the particular vehicle, they were charging $580 for the part and another $270 for an hour of labor).I dont usually listen to the advice of a toothless ex-addict mechanic.

This place was great, they were considerate of my time and gave accurate price and time estimates. They were able to figure out all of the issues with my car and were friendly and great to talk to while I waited.

This is the most reliable shop to go to in this area. William, Josh, and everyone else there are so knowledgeable with anything you may come in with or need. Their prices are great, and they explain everything so you know what is wrong.

I had appointment on Sunday. Didnt wait long to get the car going on a check. Received feed back about the car was ok. I was concerned about the battery,starter, etc. My car has rotors,breaks, being replaced at another auto shop before this appointment. I was told I have a coolant leak. Made sense since the heater didnt work sometimes. When I left the engine was off but the brake lights went on. Drove back in 2 minutes. Coolant was leaking allot and so they filled the brake fluid. Engine light and brake light off but now rotor light. Didnt drive it for 24 hours. Started car and now theres a loud rattle noise. Idk what they did but its a mess.UPDATE: Turns out I took my car to a previous city mechanic and scanned my car and there isnt a coolant leak as Monroe claimed. It was all sensors in the car coming up as codes. Im taking it back today to check the brakes. So lets see if its true....So the back brakes arent really bad as they said. I was told that the pad was lower than 2%. The mechanic I had fix my front brakes as planned when I bought the car said I dont need to change them anytime soon. Geez.
