I am so impressed with this auto repair shop! I had a really bad experience with the dealership and I was desperate to find an honest mechanic that would help me navigate my extended warrenty. Gregg was so helpful and got me an appointment right away. I dropped my car off at 8am and it was done at 2pm! The prices are fair and they have great customer service. They also provide a warrenty for all their work. There are several repair shops closer to me but I am going to continue to come here for all my car repair needs :)

Went in for a lot of work to my 7.3 Powerstroke. About 2-3 months ago. Now most of the work has held up decently. (I should have taken to a diesel performance shop to begin with) but they said they could do the work, so I said okay and went with it. But one job in particular to do with the high pressure oil pump (HPOP) hoses and fittings has given me A LOT of big problems it blew up THREE times and this is something that YOU CANT FIX THE TRUCK WILL NOT START AT ALL. most recently (6/6/2020) I was on I-75 with my 3 month old son and it blew up leaving me stuck on a two lane freeway blocking traffic because there was no shoulder and no exit. We only made it off because of my friend towing me. 6/12/2020 they stand behind they’re work and are fixing the problem which is great because some places will give you a hard time. but everything will be done right and thanks to the owner for standing behind it. Hope for the best this time around.

BEWARE! This guy charged my wife $425 to put some breaks and routers on a 2010 Chrysler mini van!! FRONT BRAKES ONLY MIGHT I ADD!!! Then when I expressed to him that the price was too high, He did not care! I work for a wholesale auto parts company! We probably service this shop! So I know what these shops pay for routers and breakpads! And to over charge so much is simply down right dirty And unprofessional! I understand you have to make money, but to take advantage of a woman like this is disspicable!! Makes me wonder if race was a factor! You definitely lost what could of been a loyal customer but because of your greed, I will never take my vehicles to the place again! BEWARE!

We took our SUV into the dealership for recalls and they told us a whole list of things we needed to have done. The dealership said we needed a new battery, back tires replaced, all new brakes and back rotors. We decided to shop around and was recommended to Independence. They serviced the battery, all new tires, all new brakes and rotors, and new wipers for cheaper than the dealership! They are very professional, respectful and helpful! Highly recommend!

Had issues with my car, the owner set a time for the next day. Was originally going to go to Autozone for the free diagnostic, he said don’t even worry about it. Next day, meet the owner (real great guy) he looks at the car, gives me a straight forward answer on what needs to be done. Not only does he give me several options, he explains why. I already know about cars, however if I didn’t he was spot on and, didn’t even attempt to get over like some places. The work is good, the price is spot on no frills or “ hidden fees”. I would recommend with no hesitation.

I kept hearing a rattle type noise upon acceleration. I brought my 07 chevy impala in fo an oil change and asked them to please take it for a drive and see if they can figure it out. My rear tire needed air as well so I asked for them to take care of that as well. The rattle ended up being a simple fix and a part needed to be tightened. They could have told me it was anything else wrong with it like some places do, but they were honest about it being a simple fix and took care of it. They plugged my tire and mistakenly forgot to charge me. When I brought it to the managers attention. He said dont worry about it. Onanother occasion I was there and actually it was my first time. I was watching how the owner Bill was treating his customers while I was waiting on my vehicle. One of his the patrons tried to tip Bill as he was pleased with his service .Bills response was thank you very much but no thank you. I do well in my business. I appreciate it but no thank you. I was impressed. If you are looking for an honest reputable establishment, look no further Independence Auto will get the job done

The guys here are honest, hard working, and know there craft. They have serviced my business my life line our step van and always given great 👍 service.

I hired a mobile mechanic to replace my brake pads on my van. The mechanic stated that my passenger side rear caliper needed replacing. So I had him replace it. When done he stated that he blood my brakes do to the new caliper. When I started to drive my van the brakes still had air in the lines. I called the mechanic but no answer. So I started to call around to see who can bleed my brakes that day. Mind you that it was around 4:30 pm and shops were going to close around 5 or 6 pm. No shop wanted to stay an extra half hour to bleed the brakes. I called 8 different places and was told no. (Also I dont live an hour and a half from Warren and didnt want to drive with the brakes that still had air in them). I then called Independence Auto Repair and explained my situation. I was told to bring it down and they would do it. Mind you they were working on other cars in the shop. They stopped what they were doing to help me. Ive never seen this in an Auto repair shop before. I would recommend Independence Auto Repair to everyone I know around. Thanks and look forward to getting more work done with your company in the future.

Needed an alignment and called about 7:30am Saturday morning. Owner promptly answered my call and was respectful and informative. The shop/waiting room is clean, dog friendly. Their service was excellent and performed as promised way ahead of the quoted time. I will use Independence for further repairs on my, vehicles.

Called to get a wheel alignment and Bill (owner) was able to get me in the next day. The service was great and he was able to pin point a noise I couldnt find myself. Overall a great experience and would recommend Independence Auto Repair in Warren to others.

I cant say enough good things about this place. The owner Bill is so knowledgeable and personable. I came for what another shop told me was probably a transmission leak and needing struts all the way around to find it was a valve cover gasket and a bad tie rod. They fixed 5 different problems on my old car that day for under $500 where the other shop wanted $1300 just to do the struts that I really didnt need... He offered and provided me a ride home and back, had everything done the same day. I can see now why so many people say this is their new go-to place in their reviews. I am definitely bringing my vehicles back here whenever I need something fixed. Bill and his mechanics are awesome!!! Also want to add a shout out to his daughter that helps out at the front counter and also manages the reviews online. She personally answers all the reviews giving it that Personal Touch. I couldnt be more thrilled with this place thanks to all of you!

At the end of the day you pay for quality and thats exactly what I received, was high quality work and excellent customer service. At the end of the day if you really need a skilled and knowledgeable mechanic to take care of you this is gonna he the best place for you. They really take pride in making a happy customer.A friendly place but I took my recipe a couple other places and it seems I may have paid a high premium. And my cars not really driving that much better. Hopefully bill will take a look at this and shoot me a call my names will I brought in the audi.

I recently visited this establishment to fix an issue with my truck. They were prompt and professional. There was a leak I had discovered a few days after the fix and took it back, they fixed it immediately and free of charge.

Had an issue with my parking brake, they diagnosed the problem right away and fixed it. I was out of there within fifteen minutes! I was very impressed with the professionalism and honesty. I always heard horror stories of mechanics lying through their teeth to make an extra dollar, but while they could have told me any price and I would have fallen for it they didnt charge me and refused to take any payment!

For some reason, its hard to find a mechanic that you can trust. Bill, the owner, has put together a great team of mechanics that will tell you the truth. They arent one of those places that try to up sell you on a bunch of repairs you dont really need. In fact, they will walk you through if a repair is really worth doing or not. They arent just in business to make a living for themselves. They want to build a good relationship between them and their customers. They will do right by you and do a great job! Great guys and a great shop. They were very accommodating in looking at my vehicle the few times Ive been over there. Went in for an alignment, and they were able to accommodate my car even though it had been significantly lowered. They were very careful getting it onto the lift.They were very thorough in the diagnosis for some noise i was having. I was able to see exactly what they were talking about and they showed me where it was coming from.I normally like to do my own repairs, but for jobs i cant do myself or if i cant afford the downtime on my car, id definitely return here.

This is by far the best car repair experience that I have ever had in my life. The Owner Bill and his daughter they run this fine establishment Bill was extremely helpful and friendly throughout the entire process! I knew my car needed a lot of work and had heard from coworker this place was fair and great service. Being a single women I needed this fair pricing. They gave me itemized list of items that was needed and allowed me to leave my car for a week while I was our of town. The list was extensive as I wanted car safe for my new driver in my family, and they were fantastic for breaking down necessary immediate items to ones that could wait for a little bit so financially not a burden at one time. Fantastic customer service, and I will be back again this week to complete my list ...I felt completely satisfied with service and collaboration we exchanged.

I found my go-to shop! The owner was really friendly and he explained everything that was being done. I know nothing about cars, and every other place Ive gone to, either just fixes the problem and sends me on my way, without having a clue of what work was actually done...or I ask questions, and they make it seem like Im wasting their time. This was a whole new experience for me. Friendly, knowledgeable and willing to spend time answering questions! And their waiting area and bathroom are very clean and tidy, which was an added perk. Highly recommended!

Ive been going to Independence for several years now. I like the hometown friendly neighbor attitude. They do excellent work. Sometimes repairs are pricey, but with a 10 plus year old vehicle, its to be expected...and they keep it running like new. I dont hesitate to go cross country w/ my vehicles on a whim.... I recommend them to everyone... theyll give you the straight talk. ...and if there are options, theyll let you know. But know this most of all, theyre doing it right and not cutting corners (or safety). Thats worth more than $550 to me...Its done right!

They are Super Great; Friendly, Skillful, Informative. They did a great job; Super fast and efficient, and instead of telling me that I need to put a new tire, they fixed a puncture in it in a moment and was good to gore before even sitting as much I wanted to lol.My tire light went on and I noticed that one of the tire is getting totally flat. I came up with their shop that was further than many tire shop around me ( Tire Discount, etc.).

Got my front end done awhile back and they did great work the next time I came in they did not even charge for the simple fix to a clamp I needed great service friendly staff very knowledgeable 5 star for sure would highly recommend to anyone.

As soon as I walked in the door, I knew this shop was different. It was friendly and the vibe was just right. I originally went in to have a screw hole patched in a tire, but thanks to the thorough and FREE inspection of the underside of my truck they discovered that the last mechanic hadnt tightened the screws that attach the axle to the differential.. and it was ready to fall off! The very friendly service tech fixed it no charge and even told me a few more things I may want to look at. Needless to say, Im extremely grateful and glad I found this shop today. I could not recommend them more.

I had a great experience here. After encountering a sudden brake problem on my way to work, I showed up at the shop early. Because I work nearby, one of their mechanics dropped me off at work while they took a look at my car. ...turns out I needed new pads/rotors for my front brakes, while the rear drum brakes needed some adjusting. I was surprised when I got the call a couple hours later that the car was already done.

We had to have a new engine put in our truck a friend recommend we come here, Im so glad we did we received the best price ( they beat the price we were quoted by our usual mechanic and a few others)We were treated as if we were family. We had one problem they took a look at it fixed the problem immediately. Well for staters this place helped me, i had a clutch rebuild at snappy trans, in November just now i couldnt take it so i went in here they took me right in look at my truck. Then told me all the bad news, but i didnt blink on the price it wasnt that much, so i pick this truck up .they did everything they said they would and even helped me load my scooter in the back of it so i could drive it. For a young man to work on trucks and be spot on. Is cool cause you know its just straight up honest . Id come back to get stuff done here again. Its never easy taking your car to get fixed and then have to take it to another place so they can fix what they did plus tell me about a few other things that were bad. Service was just wonderful in a world where people and their time matter...

Had a brake problem that the dealer charged me $300 plus to fix one wheel. When the overheating problem occurred in another wheel I called Independence and the owner, Bill, set up a time and within a few hours, not only fixed the wheel that was overheating, worked on the others to prevent the problem, spent time explaining what he did, and charged me a little over $100 (along with fixing a tail light and new wiper blades).It was my first experience with Independence, but not my last.

Had my truck for a week diagnosing it, finally got it back after rebuilt transfer case $1800, 3 months later my trans goes took to a new shop and found out they glued a leak in transfer case that came unsealed during a long trip lost all trans fluid which burnt my 3rd gear. These guys don’t know what they’re doing and are crooks.

These are the guys! My S10 lost spark and fuel pressure at the same time. The fuel pump wasnt getting 12v so I went so far as to pull the fuel tank to see if the pump was bad. I couldnt figure it out so I took it in. Gregg called me 30 minutes into working on it and said the distributor broke so I had no spark and when there is no spark, the fuel pump power is cut. I would never have put those things together. They popped a new distributor in it and I took it home that night. They had it less that 6 hours and that included waiting for the distributor!

Absolutely horrible. i have never heard such nonsense he cant give me an over the quote price on changing an alternator on a very common car. would never go here even if they are $500 cheaper. horrible just down right horrible. i know my fair share about cars and im 100% sure its the alternator but i am not working in the cold to fix it. waste of a call

I came here because I need my snow tires taken off and my all seasons put on for my 2008 Volvo xc90. When I came in I talked with Bill. He was extremely friendly and helpfull. I asked to have the alignment checked while it was there. I recently bought the car and never had an alignment done yet. I was called about an hour later that the alignment was indeed off and needed adjusting, and they did it for a very reasonable price, considering its a foreign AWD suv. He even showed me the exact measurements of the alignment compared to the cars specifications. They even test drove the car to make sure everything was right. Its a old car with high miles, and needs extra love and care. This is a great shop to take care of a high maintenence car without breaking the bank! Bill never suggested any service the car didnt need, but what repairs he did suggest, he did in such a way that made me feel that he cared about keeping my car running like new. The atmosphere here just resonates family-friendly, honest, and good customer service. I wouldnt trust any other team of technicians with my old volvo. The quality of their work is supreme.Edit: This is about 4 months later. The car seems to have a brake pull and Ive spent a lot of time trying to fix it but couldnt quite find the problem. So I decided to take the car here to have the problem diagnosed. I talked with Bill again and he was great at understanding my problem. After they looked the car over they decided it was probably the shot control arm bushing that caused the car to wander when I braked. I was very happy that they found the problem so quickly when I couldnt. I try to do my own repairs, but when I dont have the skill or time available I am very comfortable taking my car here, I know they would treat it with the same respect as their own.

Ive been to alot of repair shops...and this place BY FAR is the best!!! I just brought my 2015 F250 in for an alignment and they had me in and out. Bill the owner is SOOO nice, and HONEST! He said, if he sees anything that should be under warranty, he will advise me to go to the dealer so I dont have to waste my money on repairs. You dont see that anywhere...his team of mechanics are awesome, they went on a test ride with me to ensure I was happy with the alignment and the steering wheel was straight to my likeings because im OCD about it being off even just by a hair. Needless to say, it was perfect! I will always be a customer to Independence Auto. Thank you Bill and your team (family) for a wonderful experience!!
