Had my truck repaired here after a deer collision. Bob the estimator is excellent. He keeps you up to date on everything. He also lets you know even if there is a slow down. He had to wait for one part and called me to inform me that he was trying to hunt one down faster.

My insurance company (USAA) referred Gerber to me. This company made me feel very comfortable from the time we dropped off to when we picked up! When they were finished with my van it looked brand new, they washed and detailed it, even inside was clean. I would most definitely recommend these folks to anyone!

Ive had work done on 2 different make & models. Their body repair techs really believe in quality. The entire staff is super pleasant, and they keep you well informed on the process. Id never take my vehicles elsewhere, and my dad did auto body for a living..

I was refused service because I wanted to pay out of pocket. I used them in the past and had a good experience, so I was disappointed they turned me away for such a reason. I even offered to give them a deposit just so they could be assured they would be paid.Response to Owner:There is nothing you can do to win my business back. I took my vehicle to another shop and they laughed about the conduct of your staff and were glad to accept my business. One of my family members just got an estimate from Gerber (funny how they were okay to accept his business since he was using insurance) and I advised him not to use you guys after what happened to me (check your records if you dont believe me). This easily cost you $5k ($8k total if you include my lost business). It just seemed like the woman who I talked to was generalizing me as being poor and too risky. Just because I live in South Warren does not mean I am poor.

The women who work up front are very rude, and talk with unprofessionalism. What kind of interview process was given by the manager to believe these two were the best candidates to hire? Wow!!!!! I have talked with other Gerber Collision shops and I have never experienced the lack of embarrassment like I did with these two at this Gerber.

My uncle went into the icu while his car was getting worked on. They were more than excellent with customer service and even stayed over hours for us to pick his car up. Such caring people. It would be unfortunate to have to go there (since its a Collison shop and your car is probably messed up) but I would not go anywhere else.

My insurance company referred me to them, they are unprofessional. They did not complete all of the work they were supposed to before releasing my car. They also lied to the insurance company and told them my car was ready, when in fact it was not. This interfered with my rental. After returning my rental they wanted me to come back and have the work finished, I did not even feel comfortable going to them after such a horrible experience. Mike the manager reassured me my experience would be better and asked me to hold off my survey with the insurance company. He also mentioned giving me a gift certificate. None of that happen, he lied and the service was horrible and it took up my entire day without a rental. Total inconvenience on their behalf. I would not recommend this collision shop.

The people were friendly enough, but they gave me no reason to trust them. I had an accident where another driver ran into the right rear quarter panel of my car. I saw there was subframe damage and was worried about the frame rail in the area - when I voiced those concerns to the man at Gerber, Jose, he told me that my car had no frame (yes, my car has a unibody, but it still has frame rails) and that the engine was the chassis - which is completely incorrect (I am an automotive engineer). He spent 3min looking at my car, then came back with a quote only showing repairs to the body and paint. When I asked him about quoting for subframe/frame damage he told me he would have to completely disassemble my car to see that and refused to do more. To be clear, you could see both the frame rail and subframe through the body panel that was crushed (needed to be replaced and not repaired like his quote said) or from underneath the car and I even offered to pull back the lining of my trunk so he could see better, but he refused to go look at it again. He spent more time arguing with me about simply looking underneath the car, than time he spent actually looking at the car. I dont know if he was dumb, lazy, trying to take advantage of me because Im female or just trying to make it extremely difficult for me to take that quote to another shop - but I felt extremely uncomfortable leaving my car there for any type of repairs. He seemed completely unqualified for the job, not knowing basic knowledge about cars in general, and I hope AAA takes this shop off their list of direct repair shops. BTW I took my car to B&B Collision in Royal Oak (they are amazing - highly recommend) and they took one look at his quote and laughed, having actually looked underneath my car and through the trunk liner (still taking less than 20min for the inspection) was able to tell me that my frame rail looked okay. Now they have to go through the hassle of calling an agent from AAA to approve their complete re-write of the quote because not a single item was accurate. Never go to Gerber.
