Tom is awesome. He is helpful. He explained and showed me about my car exhaust situation. He gave me invoice and estimate, hiding nothing. The exhaust got a hole gushing out gas fumes and making loud sound. He has comfortable sitting place. His mechanic Maxwell is also very good. He has confidence in his work. I highly recommend this place for all vehicles’ work that can be done there. Many good mechanic may know the work but only very few may have this kind of customer service. We the customers need a good customer service besides just repairs and charges. Thank you Tom.

Great service. I was there for changing tires because I had a flat tire. Service was quick and fast. I was in out in 20 minutes.

I brought my car in for a repair my vehicle odometer read 97484 because I took photos of it picked up my vehicle 97519 asked shop why 35 extra miles because my warranty has a specific miles before my limited warranty gets cut off Tom got rude because I will file a complaint than these foolish people would even give me a receipt of what they repaired which I should be getting regardless who paid for repairs so now my complaint is going to the BBB for unprofessional repair shop and unethical

Service manager Dale up-charged me on all services. Didnt bleed the brakes or change the brake fluid. Brakes looked good but lasted 3 months only to start rusting and squealing. Rotors rusted within 3 weeks. Now I have to pay double at the dealership for the same service

I went in to have my tire checked in as Sullivan Tire across the street could not touch my BMW for some odd reason. Tom was awesome and told me up front the different options and potential costs. He told me it would take a few hours until he could get to my car, but within an hour and a half Tom had reached out and was able to patch my tire. I felt comfortable and that Tom was not going to try to weasel more money out of me. I highly recommend Tom and his associates. Monro will be my first stop next time I need a tire patch or anything car related.

I spoke with Tom over the phone he knew exactly what i needed it was very impressive. My husband described what he wanted me to ask for. I got 3 words in and Tom told me, it made my job so much easier and my husband very happy.

Ordered tires online at TireRack then had them direct shipped here for installation. The process was seamless. Their pricing was very reasonable, they’re very knowledge and did a great job explaining the process in detail, turnaround was quick and the everything works great.

Tom and co did a great job, kindly and firmly convincing me to retire my old car. They put together all the estimates for free and even let me store the car there until I could get a tow. Honest repair shop - would go there again.

Saved me from unnecessary work that another local mechanic had recommended.We recent moved to the area from Maryland and have been looking for our go to auto service center. Before coming to Monro Auto, we went to a local mechanic with descent reviews that is located a few blocks from our house as I needed an oil change. The other auto center called after finishing my oil change with a list of four or five recommendations for having more work done to my car. When I told them I wanted some time to think it over and compare rates before having any work done, they agreed but insisted that I needed to get my front brakes changed. I was surprised by this as my car is relatively new and well serviced. My fiancé’s father works on cars and had personally changed my back brakes a few months prior and the front brakes looked fine at that time. We weren’t overall impressed with the service and questionable recommendations, so we decided to go to Monro for my brakes.My fiancé called Monro and was able to set up an appointment for the next day, he said the guy on the phone was great. They were super friendly when we dropped off the car, provided us with an estimate, and explained what they would be doing. Shortly after they called me a little confused, explaining that they had taken a look at my front brakes and they were not even halfway worn down. At this point, I hadn’t even told them about my questionable experience with the other auto shop. They explained in depth their findings, how they came to those conclusions, and their recommendation. They were happy to still replace the brakes if that’s what I wanted, but were confident that this wasn’t necessary. We decided ultimately to forego the brake replacement as the pads were in fine condition. When we went back to pick up my car, they even took the time to show us an example of parts and how they measure the pads and where mine had been measuring. It would have been extremely easy for them to have just replaced my brakes and been on their way and I never would have known the difference, their honesty is something I value.Thank you Monro for your honest and trustworthy work! You saved me hundreds of dollars that would have gone to unnecessary work. We will be coming back for any future needs.

Great experience every time I come in. They always get me in n out as quickly as possible, with the correct repairs, for a great price. Tom (manager) keeps things running smoothly and is personable each time I come in. I would definitely recommend this location to service your vehicle!

The quality of work is suspect. The location is busy, but the work is not taken seriously. The staff is not courteous or professional. Quality parts are not installed and for the same work, if you happen to meet 2 different on duty managers, each will in most likelihood give you a different quote which can potentially differ by 60-70%. I urge others when they search the location to write reviews so that the corporate headquarters senses the need to evaluate and train employees on professionalism, courtesy and integrity. I got my brakes done on another time and saw the mechanic trying to shave off the brakes as they were not the right size. I asked him what he was doing and he said that sometimes the brakes need a little sawing off..This is when I saw what he was doing and asked him WHY.

Not only was the service at this location absolutely fantastic but I was able to drive in get the oil change that my vehicle desperately needed right away and Assisted with additional questions I had about the vehicle of my girlfriend Is serviced at her vehicle needed But I was also able to come back about an hour later and get my girlfriends vehicle worked on right away I spent less money on the same services I received another location while still really seething the best of the best service attention to detail and customer care. I would absolutely recommend this location and will be going back there for repeat business.

Monro was super helpful when I needed it, the axel of my car popped off when I was driving and they were able to find me a replacement part (had to order) and get me out and driving in less than 48 hours. Very cheap oil changes as well.

After another place more kNown for Tires and Batteries had my vehicle for a scheduled 10am oil change, and then picking it up at 4pm with nothing done, I made a hasty call to Monro. They told me to come on over. They were busy with a few other vehicles, but I was still able to get the oil changed and tires rotated in about 30 minutes. I only interacted with the young man in glasses behind the counter, whos name I forget, but he was very nice and went over the different oil options and the prices right up front. As a side bonus, I was having a weird noise coming from under the vehicle. No idea if the tire rotation fixed it or if the mechanic noticed something off and just fixed it real quick, but the noise is gone. Overall very satisfied and I will be coming back. Thanks Monro!

Very poor services and no customer friendly manner by the manager as well as the technicians. They schedule the appointments but they make too much delay to give the service. No more time waste and never to monro WalthamUpdate: I just gave a call to owners number, but the call was not received.

The customer service is very friendly, the mechanics know what they are doing. Never get a hard up sell even if there is an issue. They have worked with me to get the vehicle repaired at the lowest possible price. I had a Toyota Dealer quote me $1600 for emergency brake and rear brakes to be replaced, I got the same work done at this place for $650 and have not had an issue since.

Great service! Todd and Maxo were extremely helpful. I initially made a mistake asking them to dismount my tires but then I realised I still needed them. Fantastic! We needed emergency work done on our brakes on a Saturday morning and needed the van to catch a ferry to Martha’s Vinyard. Tom was awesome to talk to and we had quality work done and we were out the door by 10:30.

I always get my oil changed at Monroe - they are friendly, and I trust their service (plus they always have a coupon online!). I moved out of Waltham and still go back when I have car trouble. My tire pressure light kept coming on, so I just took my car in, and they fixed the problem quickly (and didnt even charge me for it!). Definitely recommend!

They did a decent job swapping my winter wheels for summer wheels - except that they broke one of my plastic hubcaps. The tech dropped a wheel on it. No apology no nothing. I left my contact info for the owner to call me. He never calls. So I called him, asked to cover cost of one hub-cap. Takes my information, promises to look up cost. Never calls.Would not go there again

Do not use this service! Spent time and money, hundreds... they did not fix anything, issue still there... just took your money.. I am strongly recommend to avoid that service, rude service manager who is speaking every time by cell phone even if you stay a front of his desk.Never will go there!

Worst experience ever. Very rude people, especially manager Tom. I went for an oil change. After the inspection, I was told to change my break pad. They gave me a quote of $801.72 after 30% discount! I told them that I would come back. After the oil change, I noticed a weird scary noise under the car when i drive above 40 miles on the highway (like wind whirling). I took the car to Hyundai dealership, where they showed me the engine splash shield undercover was broken and hanging, and it was tied with wire on both sides. Because I have taken the car only to Monro Muffler, Lexington Street, Waltham before, for the oil change, I realized this should have happened there, as the shield should be taken out for oil changing. Hyundai dealer gave me a quote of 70$ for replacement. But I took my car to Munro Muffler to address the issue. There I talked to manager Tom, (worst customer service ever!! Though it was only me and him in the room, he didnt even ask me or even give an eye contact for atleast 10 minutes standing right infront of him.) who looked into the issue. Again instead of taking care the issue, he asked me to wait, since he had other cars to take care!!! Is this the way to treat the customer?? Later, informed me that on the day of oil change, one of his mechanics found the shield hanging (I didnt have any issues until I drove in for the oil change) and tied it with wire on both sides without even informing me, the customer. And I only learned about it until it was pointed out by the dealership. Manager Tom told me that he would replace it without labor charge if I provide them the shield. I asked them for a quote for the shield and they quoted for $180 after 20% discount!!. ($110 difference from dealership!!!). Also the dealership checked the break pad and quoted $600 for replacement including labor and tax. ($200 DIFFERENCE WITH MONRO MUFFLER!!). WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I WONT TAKE MY CAR AGAIN TO MONRO MUFFLER, LEXINGTON STREET, WALTHAM EVER AGAIN. AND ALSO I WILL LET EVERYONE I KNOW AND RECOMMEND TO TAKE THERE CARS TO DEALERSHIP!!! PLEASE RETHINK TWICE IF ANYONE IS CONSIDERING MUNRO MUFFLER!! PLEASE. PLEASE.

Worst customer service ever, like freakin EVER! They keep your car for days without updating you on whats going on, then when you call you get stuck on hold forever, then they tell you they need to order parts. What the heck!???? Dear Monroe owner..SPLURGE and hire an additional person to handle JUST your customer service stuff...like returning customer calls, updating customers.

My worst experience happened here when I tried to get the noise fixed under my car. The incorrect diagnose led the chain of issues. After two wheel bearings were replaced, the noise still sustains. Then the brake system gets new issues: loose brake and ABS light on. I have been to the shop three more times and still going on...

Replaced my old battery with an insufficient Duracell. It’s caused the car a lot of issues. I didn’t realize until a few months later it wasn’t a correct match. Now, only 4 months from service the battery is worthless.
