I will only take my GTI here. This group knows exactly what theyre doing,, and, more importantly, have been honest and up front with me during every conversation Ive had with them even when that means sending me back to the dealer. This includes letting me know that parts of my vehicle were still under warrant, information the dealer I visited conveniently withheld.Thank you SO much for your help and I will see you again soon for a tune up.

Skipper and Dennis have the same philosophy about cars as I do . . . be kind to your car and it will give you many years of superb service. I was having intermittent ABS light issues with my 2002 Honda Odyssey that other shops tried to fix but never did so I decided to see what I could find on Google about auto repair shops who have a great reputation with foreign cars. I could not believe the incredible reviews for their shop and decided to give them a try. They quickly found the problem and fixed it.I love my 180k miles van which I have had for six years. While they had it in the shop, up on the lift for the ABS repairs, they went over the suspension and identified a number of components that were honestly in need of replacement. Dennis went over them with me and quoted me a very fair price. It was no surprise to me that some investment was needed in the suspension and because I hope to get a few more years out of it I authorized the repairs. I could not believe the driving difference! They are now my go-to shop. I find their advice extremely competent and they have never pressured me to make any repair recommendations. In short . . . I trust them. They seem to want to give car owners great service that is truly needed at reasonable prices.

I have been a long time customer of Skip and team and couldnt be more thrilled with the fine work that they have done for me. Hes always honest about what makes the most sense for the cars I bring him and the cars always feel better leaving the lot. Id give 1000 stars especially after picking up my car today.

I have taken my old Mazda 626 to them ever since I moved to the area and I have been very happy with the service. They have been good at diagnosing the problems every time and fixed them. They are also very good at estimating how long a repair will take, although I should mention that once I had to wait a little longer than originally anticipated, but Id rather get a properly fixed car 1 day too late than half-fixed car on time. They are a business so they have to make money so of course things are not free there, but I dont feel like they are charging excessively. Everything is well explained and I have built a good trust with this company. I honestly feel like they take pride in everything they do, both costumer relations as well as the actual mechanical work.

I have been using LFCG for 30 years now. They have serviced my Porsche, Saab, Triumph, Jeep, and Toyota vehicles expertly and always stand behind their work. This is the place you go to for both the easy stuff (in my experience they never recommend more than what is really necessary) and the hard stuff (I usually keep cars for 10+ years, and have the stories to prove it). From an oil change on a Civic to a full restoration of a 1930s Bentley, you can be sure of getting the best value with Skip & the team.

Superb, honest, fair, swift - in short, stellar help. I have been servicing my cars with Skippers Little Foreign Car Garage ever since I bought my first Honda in 1978. I can vouch for the integrity of this outfit, and based on talks with Skip about the nature of the business, am impressed with how much work goes into maintaining an in-depth-knowledge of the cars they service. Sharp, bright, up-to-date. Usually I take my best candidate for a new (used) car to them for evaluation. Twice Skip and Lindsey have recommended that I keep looking, saying For what you are willing to spend, you can do better. And I have. They have always been willing to work within my budget without compromising safety. Given their care and the sturdy reliability of Hondas, I betcha my current 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid will go to 200K at least. Skip is a great boss and a great person. He always seem to know exactly what is going on with my car though someone else, usually Lindsey, did the service. This place is UNUSUAL. To me it represents QUALITY. And TEAMWORK. Skipper races cars, so perhaps what it takes to maintain a machine in peak condition over those countless long laps explains the esprit de corps that I sense he strives to maintain. I have much affection, loyalty, and admiration for them. I bet someone could write up some great stories!

Our 2005 Volvo was overdue for a timing belt replacement. Being new to the area, we had little experience with local repair shops. A shop closer to home gave an estimate for the work that was $600 higher than what we paid. When I contacted Skip, it was clear to me he understood the work. Normally I am hesitant to do additional might as well work, but Skip was persuasive without creating a sense of fear or making me feel ignorant.Ill be back.

I have been coming here for more than 15 years. I dont like car dealers and its always difficult to trust auto mechanics, especially when you have no clue about what is wrong with the vehicle and how to best fix it. You can trust these guys to do your car right. Good people to know.

So very disappointed and shocked by the unprofessional conduct of Little Foreign Car. Do not bring your car here is my strong recommendation. We brought in my husbands Audi A4 this past Monday, it was towed in because it showed low oil pressure in red. They supposedly fixed it and we picked it up after hours on Wed. We live in Boston, so about 5min before getting home the same low oil pressure notification came on again.Called the Thurs. morning they said to tow it back again. We did that, in parallel I was trying to get a hold of them to discuss the tow charge as I felt we should not have to pay for the second tow if it was a result of them not fixing the car the first time around (each tow is $140). The receptionist, who in general is rude, and never calls you back when she says she will, said she could not make that decision and to call back Friday. We assumed they were working on the car, called back Friday, took a few hours to get a hold of someone. When my husband finally talks to the guy, they had NOT been working on the car, did NOT want to to discuss the tow charge, and said they were refusing to continue to work on our car at all!!So are now in a major bind, and have wasted a week with these guys. We have to now scramble to find another garage and get it towed AGAIN Friday night. We call a tow truck, the guy gets there and they did not leave our car outside so we were unable to get it !!!It still gets worse. They call us Saturday morning, say the car is out,we send the tow truck guy again. They had put the WRONG car out, so the tow truck gets to the new garage with someone elses car. My husband, with our 1 year old daughter, now has to drive back with them to return someone elses car and get our car.Our car finally made it to the garage, but I have never been screwed like this by any repair shop in Boston. They reimbursed us for the repairs they did (that left us with the same problem + an alignment), but we wasted a week of time struggling to get someone to fix our car, renting another car, spending hours driving there and back, two whole weekend days with their incompetence regarding the tow....etc, it was crazy.

Its such a relief to know that there is one place I can go which will take care of all my cars needs. The service is excellent and the responsiveness of the staff is as well. I really appreciate their knowledge of foreign and sports cars as well. I know theyll help me keep my Audi TT running for many more years to come. The fact that I travel far for LFCG says it all.

Very misleading company name. I took my vintage 1957 Lesney Matchbox No.32 JAGUAR XK140 to them for a tire issue and they looked at me like I had been using an exhaust pipe as a hookah. But to be fair, sometimes I do that so...5 stars!

This shop has been extremely honest with me.Ill describe how i know this.My BMW E90 06 330I had a tensioner pulley making noise. (You know that teeth scrapping sound.)Since my last mechanic had passed away, I needed a new one.So, I took the car to LFCG on the recommendation of a fellow Rotary member.Brought the car in, they confirmed my suspicions and we arranged a time to have it replaced. Paid a very fair price for both the part and the labor. Especially considering he is less than a mile from my home in Watertown. Much more honest pricing and diagnosis that another shop (I wont name) i had look at the same noise. They tried to tell me it sounded like main bearings going bad....Fast forward a bit, and i was picking the car up.As i was driving away, the new part failed.Every shops worst nightmare.Instead of making excuses, they made things right. Repaired the damage done by the failure and all associated parts. Amazing!Ill probably be a client for years based on this experience. Nice to have the trust issue out of the way. Skipper, the owner, has already gone out of his way to make sure that i was well informed and comfortable with the decisions being made. Helping me work within my budget has meant a lot.Now we have a second vehicle, and his shop will be the one working on it as well.

Skipper and his staff are outstanding mechanics. They fix complicated and extensive work (rebuilding engine and transmission) and routine service. I have had 2 Porsches, a Saab, 3 Audis, 2 BMWs and a honda serviced here. My nephew had a 71 Culass restored to show quality here too!Give them your business for honest, competent and fair work.
