Horrible experience. I explained that I was driving 3 hrs because i was very interested in a vehicle on their lot. I asked very specific questions and they basically told me everything that I wanted to hear. They completely wasted 6 hrs of my day as well as gas money and taking my son with me, in the event that I purchased. One specific question was, “Does the truck have rust? They assured me that the trust had zero rust and looks practically new. The truck’s rocker panels were basically rusted from wheel to wheel on both sides. In addition, the truck was rusted underneath as well as under the hood. However, they did a great job of taking long distance pictures because they obviously wasn’t up close. Bad Bad way to do business. The entire staff desperately needs some training on professionalism as well as customer service and customer sensitivity.

A rocky start to the deal prevents me from giving AMKO 5 stars. Initially I was told over the phone that the car (2014 Mustang with extremely low mileage) I was interested in had been sold. A day later, the owner himself called and told me that the salesman had confused the 2014 with another car, and that the 2014 Mustang was indeed still for sale. Thank you K.C. for calling me personally! I arranged to see it the following day. It was a great-looking car, handled nicely, and was impeccably clean. To make a long story short, Mike Chau provided a calming element to my experience. Thank you Mike for your presence! The dealership is currently working with me on a concern, but I feel confident well reach suitable terms.Update: We did reach suitable terms regarding the concern referenced initially. These guys at AM-KO in Waldorf get their hands on very clean vehicles. Check them out and ask for Carl Jones, I got an excellent deal on a basically brand new car and Carl was fighting for me the whole time to lock in the best deal possible. His boss and the staff are great and luckily allowed him to smoothly close the deal. I understand some people felt they had a different experience there but it takes two to tango and you gotta bring a good hand to the table. Dont complain about the extra fees, at least they are honest advertising their wholesale price upfront. Thanks Carl and gang!

This Dealer is not reputable. I would not buy any luxury vehicle from them. I purchased a 50K corvette unseen. They delivered it to me with 2 rear wheels that were dry rotted and worn out and with a nail in it! Tires are as old as the car, 2014. 7 year old dry rot tires. They replaced front tires with used wheels that were mismatched. The serpentine belt tensioner is leaking oil and they wont fix it. Ive only had the vehicle 1 week. I was working with Will, he left the company. Working with Danny and he replaced with 2 used mismatched tires on the front wheels. Leon was rude with me and didnt want to hear my concerns. I left a message to have the owner KC call me back and he never returned my phone call after waiting 1 full day.

I called very interested in the car for a price it was advertised on the Internet. Had a nice conversation. And then was told they were adding $2695 to the price from the fine print. Very misleading been doing business with car dealerships for 40 years never been treated that way this place was unbelievably awful

Wasted 8 hrs of my time travelling to look at a vehicle with the understanding that the price was negotiable. Upon arrival and inspection of the vehicle, we were ready to make a deal. They refused to negotiate AT ALL on the price. Never dealt with a dealer who would not budge on price, so we walked away and will take our business elsewhere.

A few years ago I made a purchase at the Amko Auto at the Laurel location when it was still open. The experience there was beyond exceptional, so I decided to stick to buying at Amko Auto. This time I went to the Amko Auto in Waldorf.Everything went smoothly; had a friendly sales representative by the name of Carl Jones that worked with us. He was able to do the pre-approval prior so when we got there everything was ready for us. He was friendly, welcoming and even advised us different routes that we can choose from. As far as customer service goes, I received everything you would have expected for great service.As for the vehicle itself; the model we were interested in was not in show room condition (more below) however we were informed that the vehicle was rushed to this location so that we would be able to view it. I had to do quite a bit of cleaning when I got home and the keyfob was not in working well. I was only provided one key so I have a half working key, (in hindsight, I should have made (2) keys a precondition before purchasing.) Other than that everything went as expected.

Thought this purchase was too good to be true. Bought a 2014 Tahoe that is a great truck. Traded my 2009 jeep wrangler in as well as $2000 cash. It took them 4 months to pay the remaining balance which ended up going to collections and messed my credit score up. Then they were supposed to pay for the gap insurance and never sent the payment and now Im getting the run around about the gap insurance. Very poor customer service for sure. Will be calling my lawyer to handle this from here on.

My car is valued at $24k that I wanted to sale, and even at below average, it would be $21-22K, and this dealership tried to give me a trade in value at $17K. I had a great experience at AMKO Auto. I brought my daughter in on Monday to see about getting a car. Although I had to co-sign for her, we left satisfied with the purchase. The sales associate, Henry, and the manager, Armando, were knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Armando even took things a step further and shared some helpful tips on how my daughter could improve her credit. In addition, I liked the fact that we did not sit there for hours to get an approval. We were in and out in no time. Overall, it was a great experience and I have already recommended others to check them out.

Called 5 hours in advance about a 2500 2017 Promaster. Obviously a work van. Made an appointment to go test drive it.Assured me it was on their lot. We pull in and no van to be seen in the lot.So I ask as the sales lady walks out holding a key. This van we want to see is pretty big and its not on this lot. Dont know what vehicle that key was for but it wasnt for the van we were there to see.

Where do I even start? Found my dream car on car gurus. It was located in Amkos District Heights location. Made an appt, get there, the truck was not on the lot. I was told they move vehicles back and forth from this location to their Waldorf location. After paperwork was finished they said they were calling for the truck to be driven to me. 15 mins later I was told that truck had sold back in April. BS!! I purchased similar car, different color. I purchased my car the 3rd week of May. Once the awesome wax job started to wear off, I noticed multiple scratches and dings. The car leaks water terribly on the inside, already had to change a fuse when me a/c went from cold to hot, multiple problems....The worst part is, today (2 months later), I still have temp tags (which expire today), I’ve called 3-4x’s a week inquiring where my hard tags are. Just told today that they are going to try and get my hard tags and not to worry if my temp tags expire, that police aren’t pulling anyone over with expired temp tags due to corona virus. WOW, who knows if that’s true, but what is true is that my insurance company will be sure to flag me for expired tags!!! I’ve left several messages for the owner to call me back. No call backs! The only person that calls you back is Jean- the tag and title lady whom is in the Waldorf location. She has told me that really it’s out of her hands since I purchased in the district heights location, yet all the other employees I spoke with say that she handles all the T&T info for both locations. They blame all the delays on the corona virus. Sure I know that MVA has shut down and been slower since corona, but I’ve owned this car for 2 months and 1 week, made 2 car payments on it, and still no hard tags. Notice also that this company won’t respond back to these reviews. They don’t care about the hardships they’ve caused their customers. Very disheartening!!!

My overall rating with Amko was excellent. Chelisha was a great help. I brought a 2011 LS460 Lexus and I love my car. I had a GS300 Sport Design Lexus. Had baby girl since 2005. She finally gave out on yesterday. We will be back to purchase more vehicles. Prices was just right . Thanks for you all help and mainly Chelisha.

Dont waste your time, there are plenty of reputable dealers on the same street, generally any place with no price on the car is usually going to be shady, just down the road there are certified Honda, Ford, Nissan and others who clearly state a price on the vehicle. Apart from clueless salespersons AMKO also tries to string you along in the hope that after wasting a lot of time you may make a rash decision just to get finished.

THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND I PLAN TO MAKE A FORMAL COMPLAIN AS I STARTED TO LAST YEAR. THIS IS BEYOND RIDICULOUS! PLEASE DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE! Amko is very unethical. After a firm offer and commitment to buy my vehicle. The next day they lowered the offer, after I went out of my way to deliver the vehicle and canceled with a customer who stated they wanted to buy my vehicle... I will be using my voice & media to inform everyone of their poor business practices

I should’ve trusted my instincts not to shop for a vehicle here. If I could give them ZERO stars I would. Stay away from here and get real service from a real car dealership but I will say my salesman Chelisha was outstanding but these people aren’t trustworthy they don’t value their customer just your money I blame myself for coming here never again. Oh yeah forgot to mention they debited $2000 out of my account because they said the deal was done then told me they would give a refund that day sat July 13 2019 because they couldn’t honor the agreement now they said that I would have to be present in order to receive my refund don’t ever step foot on that property !!!!

Long Story Short Amko Auto Of Waldorf have the most sweetest employees. I didn’t even purchase a car my tire went flat and I pulled into the parking lot hoping they had someone who could fix my tire. They tried air and other things offered different things and they didn’t have to. When I trade my car or purchase a new car this will be the place. You Can Teach the business but you can’t teach Generosity. I Thank Every last one of those employees.

Me and my lil man road all the way from Baltimore City out there on Saturday in the rain on the 1-4 -20 just for them to say we cant sell you a car unless you have a DC/Virginia mailing address. The young lady I spoke to over the phone said all their cars were in good condition that was a lie they dont even know the condition their cars are the owner said before the mailing address we can sell you a car but its not guaranteed youll make it home depending the shape the car is .I wouldnt refer this place to my worse enemy!!

First, a note to the reader: My review takes into account a number of quality metrics: AMKO management commitment to customer satisfaction, service and product quality, responsiveness, and fairness.This is the second time that I have purchased a car at a small dealership. My first experience four years ago was not positive.Unlike other dealerships, AMKO is a different proposition. The salesperson, Thomas is very courteous, extremely patient and very responsive. There was no pressure on me. Everyone at the dealership, -from the female salesperson who also signs fluently and has happily offered to interpret for me- has treated me really nicely.I have been particularly impressed by the dealership manager. I see in him not only a great manager, but also an authentic leader. He is genuine, really caring and I believe honest. He is not someone who stays locked in his cozy office. He wants the customer to be happy. He was personally involved in closing my deal, and has continued to be available, personally involved, making sure everything is done well. You rarely see a manager or GM at a dealership so personally involved in ensuring that customers are treated well and rendered excellent service and leave the premises happy. If all car dealerships treated their customers like AMKO does, then none or at least very few would call car dealers crooks.Here is an example of the culture of integrity at AMKO: I gave a tip to the staff who detailed my car but he declined.
