They should have been upfront with me about how long it would take to fix my car. Iwas told when I called a week ahead to schedule the appointment that my car would be ready by the end of the day if I dropped it off in the morning. I dropped my car off at 7:30 am and was told it would be ready by the end of the day. I called about 5 pm to get an update to only be told it wouldnt be ready until the next day. I already took off 1 day of work to get my car fixed and now had to find a ride to work for the next day.

Good customer service. Quick diagnostics of my transmission issue. The transmission was replaced timely. No issues with any of the work performed. I even have a follow up appointment just to ensure all is well.Hopefully the newly installed transmission will last with regular service.

This past summer I took my Dodge Ram to AAMCO in Waldorf, Md. for the 50,000 mile transmission tune up, when I got my truck back I had a leak, took it back for repair, got the truck back and had another leak. Called and asked if I could make an appointment and was told no, first come first served, I took the truck early in the morning thinking I would get it back quickly, wrong! Truck sat there for a day and a half, finally receive a call and was told there was no leak. I then took my truck to my mechanic and was shown where the leak was around the back side of the pan. I decided that I will not take my truck back to AAMCO but have my mechanic make the repair at my cost, I will never deal with AAMCO again.

I went to AAMCO because I had a check engine light that came on. I took my vehicle to AAMCO and told them the trouble code. I also asked them to check my dome light, ( it would not come on). I didnt know I was not suppose to clear the check engine light. They were understanding about my lack of knowledge. And they fixed my dome light FREE. AAMCO in Waldorf, MD

My recent experience with the Waldorf AAMCO was extremely professional. The initial diagnosis was a malfunctioning radiator. They installed the new radiator. After the installation the air conditioner did not work, with the modern day vehicles much of what is done is tied to a computer, I called Doug and he said bring it back and without hesitation they located the problem and reset the system. Perfect attitude and outstanding service. Several days later, there is a leak and after diagnostics, they find a hair line fracture in the new radiator that they had previously installed, AAMCO Waldorf, Doug and team without reservation put in a new radiator and new thermostat the next day and called me at the end of the day to say it was ready. Outstanding service, a team that earns your dollars, deserves your dollars and provides customers with an assured warranty that they fix what they promise and certainly promise that what they fix will meet or exceed your expectations as a consumer.

My experience at this AAMCO was exceptional.The diagnoses was done in a timely manner and I was advised on my best next step to take even though this meant losing my business. Such honesty at a mechanic shop is extremely rare these days.I hope I dont need a Mechanic anytime soon but if I did, they will be my go-to shop.

I took my truck to the Waldorf shop they were very professional. Mr Doug was excellent I came back again and they were the same great place I first visited and the problem was resolved even faster . I appreciate everyone who works there . The guys are very sharp and thorough with their work! I will recommend them to anyone especially the Waldorf office.

***STAY AWAY DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!*** This place deserves zero stars. The service is poor. I think they are running a scam. A car was taken to them about a month ago. It has been returned several times for the same issues they were suppose to fix. Each time it is returned they keep it for an additional day or more. Each time its been the same issue. I cant believe they have been granted the opportunity to use the AAMCO brand. I guess money talks. They must have paid extra to use it.

The office staff was very professional, pleasant, and expressed a willingness to help. I was informed someone will call me during the week concerning my Ford Escape, and I did receive the call in a timely fashion. I was informed of the trucks concern, and I was provided an estimate. To my surprise, I was offered financing as well. I thought I was going to have to provide payment upfront. The financing really helped. I was promise my truck within the next week, and my truck was completed for pick within the suggested time frame. A caveat was I had to return the truck because of a noise, and the team checked out the truck concerning the noise. The staff had a quick turnaround to resolve the noise concern, and I was on my way.I would recommend AAMCO of WaldorfThanks for all you do!Dr. ReedDistrict Heights, MD

THE WORST experience I have ever had at a repair shop. They told me I needed my rear differential replaced, so I took it in Monday morning to do so. They called me at the end of the day saying they were sent an incorrectly labeled part (the differential had the wrong gear ratio). They spent the day installing this part in my car only to discover it was incorrect and then completely not drivable. They told me my car would not be done until the end of Wednesday (three full days in the shop for a repair that had been quoted at 6 hours). When I asked to be provided with a rental car or some compensation for the error, they refused, and instead complained to me that they were losing money on this because of the extra labor they had to put into the car. Whether it was their fault or not, it is their responsibility to provide compensation for the mistake that was made, since I had left my car under their care, and I would have not been upset at all if they had simply paid for a rental car (or even had been apologetic that this had happened!). Not to mention, I found them to be very condescending and offensive when I asked any questions (such as whether they would provide a rental car, or whether it was possible that the entire differential didn’t need to be replaced). Finally, after I got the car back, it was doing THE SAME THING I brought it in for in the first place. I took the car to the shop again, and they told me that now I need my front two wheel bearings replaced ($750) and I have a transmission issue (~$3250-3750). I am extremely frustrated because if they had they found all of these issues in the first place, I likely would not have decided to make the first repair ($1700), since all of these issues together about the worth of my entire car. Needless to say, I am extremely displeased with the experience.

I had my daughters car served at this location for the check engine light. The car was serviced on September 5, 2014. Along with servicing the check engine light, they also serviced her transmission. The check engine light came on a few days after I got the car out of the shop. Since September 5, the car has been in the shop two additional times since the original diagnosis for the same problem...THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT! I spoke to Manny and Doug about the problem. They both are now saying it could be anything that causing the light to come on. Now, her transmission indicator light is on indicating that her transmission fluid is low. Manny or Doug is not offering any help on the matter except for asking me to bring the car back in their shop for a fourth time. I honestly feel like I washed $600.00 down the toilet. Manny, the owner refuses to give me a refund. As a customer, I feel this is horrible customer service. I paid for two services to be done yet there are still problems...THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL ON and now her transmission fluid indicator is on. The car is in worse condition than it was when we took it in to be serviced!After weeks of research, I finally found a number for AAMCOs Customer Relations group. They told me that this shop is an individually owned shop which means its up to the owner as to how these types of issues will be solved. Theres NO accountability whatsoever!Im very dissatisfied. I mean totally dissatisfied.

I shouldnt even give them a 1 star rating. These people are crooks, at least to women, or factually speaking, myself. I had my vehicle towed to them to rebuild my transmission. I ended up having to take them a battery on Thanksgiving Eve because they said my vehicle would not start. I periodically started my vehicle and moved it forward and backward and would cut it off because I knew the transmission needed rebuilt. I already had the transmission flushed and a new filter put in and there were metal shavings in it. Granite it had been a month or so since starting it and with the cold weather it could have drained the battery, however with a charge it would have started right up. Nevertheless I drove a battery that I took out the one of my other vehicles that was barely a month old and hand-delivered it on Thanksgiving Eve write about closing time. It wasnt until a week later on Wednesday that I got my first call regarding the vehicle. They said that I needed a fuel pump and it was going to be almost $1,200 . That was my first clue that they were Crooks because I drove the vehicle home and started it periodically, as I stated earlier. Then they tried to tell me the battery that I brought over was no good. That was confirmation that they were trying to stick me, maybe because I was female, or maybe because thats what they do to everyone, I dont know. I have an extended warranty protection plan, and Im not even going to start about that. In a nutshell, I feel like they double the price because Im only responsible for half of what they charge, so in all actuality, Im paying a fee for warranty plan and Im still paying full price for the services rendered. My decision 2 get the vehicle fixed was done as a very split-second decision. It takes me back to my childhood, remembering an old saying haste makes waste. After all of this, I decided to read the reviews on the place, and they got the lowest in and around the Waldorf area. If I can spare one person the headache, I hope this review helps!

I wish they had a zero option. I came in had to wait days to get my car back then once I received my car it was still having the same problem when I reported to them all they can say is the can look at it days after I need my car. Im not sure if its because im a woman or African American that they dont take my concerns seriously. Im also contacting the better business bureau because this place needs to stop ripping people off. I spent over $1200 for my car to still be having the same problems is craziness. Then have the nerve to tell me 2 out of 3 problems are fixed so that means it works. Im writing reviews everywhere.

If I could give them less than one star I would. I had the transmission in my 03 Tahoe (120K miles) flushed at AAMCO and six months later the transmission burned up. I agreed to have them rebuild the transmission with new parts. I paid $3300. They gave me a crappy 18K/2yr warranty on the rebuilt trans. I drove 19K in seven months and the rebuilt transmission burned up to the point that the fluid inside of it was so full of metal that it was silver. The gears were ground to a pulp. I took it back to them because as a daily driver the transmission shouldnt have burned up like that in seven months. I dont haul or race with the truck or anything crazy. The condition that the transmission was in meant that they didnt build it right. I took it to them to replace the transmission and asked them to give me a break on the transmission and just replace it for free being that it was only a thousand miles out of warranty. They told me that No and that it would be $2500. I called AAMCO headquarters and stated my case and they called the Waldorf shop. Even after they received a call from headquarters they only came down $500 on the price and offered me a 100K/3 yr. warranty on the transmission. This is the warranty that they should have given me in the first place. When I told them wear they could stick that price and that I would have my truck towed elsewhere they still wanted to foster a future business relationship with me. Ill never do business with them again and Ill NEVER recommend them to anyone. Unethical business practices are a special pet peeve of mine.

The office staff was pleasant and helpful. But I do feel the estimate was an up sell. I was given an estimate to change a transmission shifting solenoid service pack. I was told they have to access this from inside my transmission. I have a 2003 Dodge Caravan and when I looked up the part and replacement, it is accessible from the engine compartment. When changing this part only 1 quart of trans fluid was necessary for replacement. My estimate consisted of removing the oil pan, replace part and new gasket, trans fluid ($28.00) which equals to approx.7qts and trans only holds 5.5 if flushed, re-learn transmission ($98.50), solenoid block. $ 571.50 I found out from a Dodge expert the re-learn process via computer is not necessary because the trans will re-adjust to your driving habits and forget about the $98.00 re-learn the computer sets up. Other then an up sell estimate, they were very helpful and did provide me with a free check engine lite and estimate

The man Doug was very sarcastic on the phone. They were fast with telling me what was wrong with my car. The price was very outstanding, Doug offered help to help me pay for the repairs, but the options were terrible. He first offered a credit card, saying that if i were to pay the amount off within a year, there wouldn’t be no interest. The 2nd option was taking out a loan, thus the amount was 5300.00. On top of that, i have payments that i still make monthly on the car plus car insurance and regular maintenance. I called Doug back and told him, i will not move forward with fixing my car, because i still have a lot of other things to pay for the car. He began to ask me “Well, how were you going to get back and forth to work?” I mention other options: uber, lyft, etc. Then he proceed to say, “Well, you are paying for a car that doesn’t move!” I said,” I’m not going to make anymore payments.” He paused, and then replied,” Well, ok.” I will not pay back a loan and or credit card if i have to make payments on the vehicle and also pay car insurance on the car. Also, there will be future issues with the car and I’m still paying a loan back for the car that I don’t trust from them. I read other reviews and they have gotten over on other customers. So I will not recommend nobody to them. Crooks.

Just had my Jetta there with some Tranny Issues, they had quoted me about 350 (forbthe pan oil and labor) just to be able to open and check whats wrong. Days 2 they had the wrong part, day 5 I went there and they said they put everything back and they will test drive it. The next day they call me and say I need a whole new transmission and gave me a quote after 3 more days of $3500. I mean o just wasted $350 to get a quote of $3500 after more than a week. This was a horrible experience for me

OMG... these guys are SUSPECT... did a good job (well yet TBD) on the fuel pump replacement. Told me to buy a Delphi pump n not a cheap one. Which i did, and the labor was 4 hrs, $415. Then i told them to investigate a scraping noise coming from rear DS wheel. These mofos said it wud cost ~$650 for them to LOOK at it. Lol. So I said No to that. They then called me back, and gave me a quote for the rear wheel noise ~$2528- using used parts. So how did they come up with a price/used parts if u havent diagnosed the issue yet?? Hhmmm..

I took my 2000 BMW 328i up to them a Saturday to do a diagnostics test on my transmission because of a safty that was coming up on my dash for transmission and that was the only problem that i was having and they told me it would take 5 hours to test it so I left it. 5 hours went by with 5mins before closing and no call so i called them and he said he was getting ready to call me but would like to keep it until Monday and i said no thank you so i go get my car and started driving it home and my eml light came on which has never come on since Ive had my car and eml is serious. And i had just taken it to BMW and all was fine, now all of a sudden the eml light is coming on the day i get it back from them so i called them and of course they say they didnt do anything but i talk to bmw so there going to check my DME serial # and some other part to make sure it wasnt switched out because they have heard of them doing that before. And the place looks like a junk yard, so go in at your own risk but this place is not right by far.
