The other bad reviews are correct and I should have listened to them....This store is FILTHY!!The Heath department needs to close it down until they can learn to clean properly..We found dead roaches on the childrens isles, food isles and just nasty dirt, opened food for sale on shelves, air conditioning broken or heat was on and meats and dairy were not at good temperatures according to their own thermometers.Half the shelves in each department are empty and in the event you do find an in stock item, the area is so sticky and nasty you dont even want to touch it!Price scanners are all removed and half the prices are not on items or shelves so you have to wait for sticker shock at the register.Only ONE register was open for an actual cashier, the rest were just self checkout which isnt helpful when you have many items and 10-15 people with baskets full waiting in line forever.The average timed wait that myself and other customers found was 30+ minutes in line before you can even have someone can items due to no other staff on the register..Im sure Im forgetting many things but this place really needs attention and should be closed until they can fix many issues.
It was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I couldnt find certain things and they showed me where they was at. Plus it wasnt long check out lines... And wasnt overly crowded.

Ive been shopping here for over 8 years and lets just say thats its not as great as it once was. Overall I can usually find what Im looking for, but the pick up experience leaves a lot to be desired. I placed my pick up order last night with a pickup time of 2-3 today. My order was delayed and one item was unavailable. I arrived and checked into my pickup spot at 5:10 pm and called the pickup phone number at 5:40 to make sure it actually had me checked in. I was told yes I was checked in and that they would be with me soon. Then around 6:10 an associate came out and said he couldnt believe I had been waiting for an hour and he would go check on my order. At 6:50 he came back out with a bunch of groceries, but not mine. He said they hadnt completed my order in the store yet. My order only contained 4 items! So after wasting almost two hours I cancelled my order and I will not use this service anymore. I have tried multiple times to get someone to answer the phone so I can speak to a manager, but no one ever answers.

Always a great place to shop. You name it, they may have it. Great customer service. Associates ready to help. Took down one star because more associates needed at the return lines and the check out scanners NEED to be wiped down MORE often.

I went to the Wake Forest location to return an item that was brand new still in the box. Manager said it was non returnable. It clearly stated on my receipt that I had 14 days to return the cell phone. Well I took it to another Walmart and returned the item with no problem. I guess he didnt know what he was doing. But you a manager though. Really?
Walmart has gone down hill so fast. The staff used to value customer service. Now they act like they could not care less about you. I asked someone where light bulbs where and they acted like I inconvenienced them. I ended up just walking away and found the light bulbs for a better price and with friendlier staff at Target.
Absolutely the worst service possible from this Wake Forest, NC Store. I’ve had at MINIMUM 5 delivery orders that had to be CANCELED because THIS store can’t get their act together and fulfill the orders. And when you try and call the actual store no one EVER answers the phone. The app itself makes it feel like it’s the customers fault for cancelling as there is no recourse but to if you don’t get your delivery and there is no communication from WM saying they couldn’t complete the order and deliver. I won’t be renewing my Walmart + subscription when it comes up in 2 weeks. Will take my business elsewhere.
Just got harassed by the employee working the front because she “didn’t see me walk in” with my already purchased table that I was returning with receipt in hand.Maybe if she quit chatting with employees and joking around she wouldn’t have to harass a customer the entire walk to the return counter. This store really is a disaster. I hate that this is the closest location to me. The shelves are bare and most of the employees are rude. I have encountered several employees through the check out process that do not seem to know what they are doing. Some of the store shelves are dirty. The produce selection is so-so. The clothing sections are always a mess. The clearance section is a disaster. Items just tossed on the shelf. If you live near a different Walmart, I would suggest going there. If not, you are like me and stuck going to this one or driving an extra 20 minutes. Oh, and cherry on top, I called customer service once to complain about the disastrous shopping trip I had and I was offered to have the manager call me. I said, yes, I would love to speak to the store manager, and no one ever called me. Such a shame.
Typical Walmart. There are never enough cashiers which forces customers to the self-checkout lines that seem to always have some sort of issue. Then we have to wait for the person with the special key or code to take their time and walk over to reset the computer. There is NO sense of urgency. I feel like they believe they are doing you a favor while you interrupt their day.
Stood in line for half an hour to check out. Warm enough in the store, and stood long enough that my frozen pizzas had actually thawed out before I could get them to my car. Employees standing/walking around seemingly with no purpose while 2 registers are open backing up across the aisles. Absolutely horrid experience
They have only 1 or 2 registers open which makes for long lines lately. I sure hope they get more help in soon. I dont like to check myself out.
Ive never had any problems with getting my oil changed until I brought it here. One guy started working on my van, then another finished. Then they replaced the oil filter but not the oil. They said the oil plug was stripped, aint this a garage that works on cars? Dont know how to change a striped bolt. I took it to Take 5 and they fixed it. By the way, I checked my oil before I left Wal-Mart and it was a 1.5 quarts low. They said it was like that when brought it in. I never let my oil get that low.
The associate who dispensed my groceries was great. However, i was short on one item and did not check until o got home. Reached out to the store this morning in the e-commerce to see if i could come today and pick it up. The associate politely let me know that I needed to call 1800walmart and in 7-10 days i would get a refund. I explained i did not want a refund i just wanted the coffee. She again politely explained that her supervisor said i could come in a purchase the coffee. At this point i just said thanks. So i guess i will be calling them tomorrow for a tefund.
Walmart pick up is the worst. It takes anywhere from 30 mins to an hr to get the pick up even after checking in online that youre arriving ahead of time. Fruit ordered is always bad. Unfortunately its the only Walmart in the area.
Will not ever spend my money in this store. Went to the pharmacy to get syringes for a 92 y/I diabetic neighbor. Asked to see the actual syringe to verify if our neighbor could see the lines well enough to see. The young man refused and the pharmacist refused to look up at all.
Traveled over 2 hours between 4 walmarts looking for an item that was suppose to be in stock (2 showing and confirmed by a another locations walmart employee). Arrived at 8pm at Wake Forest, left close to 10pm and during this visit outside of 2 Managers or CSM reps, NO ONE THERE acknowledged my presence or thought it important to address me for help, assistance or solving my inventory issue. Mingling, drawing new iphones from the back pocket and complaining about staffing and schedules was the governing emotion at this location. To be fair, a great many of Walmarts have staff members who have either failed in the quest to give great customer service or are so defeated in life that they do not feel they NEED to give great customer service. Mr. Walton would not be proud...
I shop here during off hours, mostly at night (9-11pm) and I enjoy it! They are starting to restock so there are pallets blocking some of the walkways but there are also more employees around so if you cant find something you can find one of them easily. And they seem to always know where what Im looking for is located. The employees are very helpful and friendly.It is mostly self check out and I have found that the person monitoring that area is very helpful as well.
Betty, one of the employees at the Wake Forest Walmart, was extremely helpful to me and went out of her way to provide great customer service! They were low staff that day and very busy so it was very appreciated!
This location has gotten extremely trashy. Very dirty, empty shelves. I was here this day to pick up an order that I placed for one item three days prior. Theyre scanning machine ran out of batteries they did not have the item at the pickup area then they had to go to the back warehouse to get my item. I was there for 25 minutes waiting inside the store. I do not use Walmart unless I absolutely have no choice.
Missing items on shelf almost always...bananas almost going bad as well as fruits. Good or dry goods but not fresh produce
The staff makes all the difference! Friendly is the best way to explain it, you’re made to feel like a friend. And I have actually befriended some very kind and caring people here. I spend significantly less money on Amazon as a result of my business being earned over time by genuinely kind treatment. I’ve returned quite a bit but I have bought far more. Customer care is not dead in retail. It’s alive and well in Wake Forest’s Walmart. My only regret is not having the best recall bc I’d love to name a few of the amazing employees and managers.
Would love to give half a star but not an option I highly recommend not shopping here unless you enjoy the endless lines and they forever stinky toilets.. Walmart hurts my face when I walk inside.
This Walmart has nice items and is a great store until Burger King Closed And Dominos took its place. I love Pizza but I wouldnt want to get pizza after shopping. The Burger King had more good items like French Fries, Burgers, etc. But Why of any fast food would you Choose Dominos to take the place?!! Now I cant get anymore Burger King While Shopping. McDonalds should have tooken the old burger king place. Im really disappointed.

First time using grocery pick up. I originally wanted it delivered and every time i checked came back unavailable. So I have no option other than to do pick up. Same situation available time was 8hrs from time I submitted needing groceries. I went to pick up at 615pm and didnt get my order until 720pm. One lovely associates who was just brought into help did her best. Several people yelled at her because at least 6+people all waiting over hour to hour and half to pick up groceries. Had I gone I and shopped myself then left and gotten home would have been quicker. The associate just kept apologize and smiled so hard to be mad at her she was so professional. However whomever was managing this process and shoppers clearly not doing their job.Once I got home i realized my blueberry and raspberries were OLD and clearly shouldnt have even been for sale were in my bag however 4 pints all spilled into shipping bag! I buy Kerry Gold butter very expensive well they loaded my bag, a single bag with the cast iron skillet I ordered ontop of plastic butter dish lid cracked and broken plus seal punctured as well. Clearly unusable due to COVID wont take chance. They never communicated any substatutions lucky I was able to return tonic water substatutions while associate reviewed order before I left. There were 3 other substatutions all Organic and a a great higher price than original. The only thing NOT completely messed up was Bubly Water, Beer and Spiked Seltzer. My order packed in single plastic bags all punctured or torn with holes due to loaded and single bag.This by far has to be the worst experience at any WalMart ever in 30yrs of shopping with them I have never experienced so many incompetent mistakes which had anyone taken pride in their jog could have made better.Lady in car waiting next to me with two young children redid her order at Target and just left to pick up because it was ready in One hour and she had been in pick up spot 20mins prior to my arrival.I will not recommend this service to anyone or ever shop at Walmart again. We have a brand new Lidel, Aldi and Wegmans not to mention Publix which is higher price however my time worth money and I still would have paid less had I Shopped at Target or Publix grocery pickup vs the stress and unprofessional management of this location

I love to shop at Walmart. But just a warning to others...be very careful walking in the parking lot in the rain. The painted lines are very slippery. I fell yesterday. Luckily I was not badly hurt, but it was scary. Thanks to the stranger who saw and offered to help.

Worst stocked Wal-Mart I have ever been to; 2 trips over the past 10 days. Clearly this store is last in line for delivery. From candles to water, the shelves were barely stocked.
Typical Wal-Mart, depending on what youd expect from that. I generally receive good customer service when I visit this one and can generally find what Im looking for. I will say that if youre from coastal VA this one will seem backwards, as to where things are located.
Made it 45 mins back home to realize we left the bag. Called customer service everyday for 3 days straight with no answer ever. Finally had the time to make the trip to the store to receive no help at all. Apparently you can’t receive any type of assistance if you’re missing a bag after using self checkout (which is not posted anywhere in the store or on receipts). I just want my money back or a gift card of the amount that was spent on the kissing item. The customer service associates were unwilling to offer any type of help and seemed uninterested in providing a resolution of any kind.
Not the best. came here and asked where they kept their graham crackers and was directed to the baking aisle, and when i addressed this they called me impatient and asked that i calm down. very unhelpful. wasn’t yelling or anything, just said the graham crackers weren’t here and didn’t understand why i was directed here. also saw many expired products and even saw some rotting raspberries and strawberries. giving three stars because of the variety at their store.

On August 15, I was quickly reminded why I only shop Wal-Mart when I have no other option. I often pay more in an attempt to avoid shopping Wal-Mart. I dont understand why they have so many check-out lanes, but on 2 lanes open forcing customers to self check-out with a full shopping cart. I absolutely hate shopping at Wal-Mart.
I went to Walmart to get just a onn remote for dvd player I purchased and apparently they dont carry them. Why carry the dvd player and not the remote that goes with it? So my only option is to buy another dvd player just to get the remote. That makes no sense.
Above average Walmart! Store is maintained extremely well and the staff is friendly. Inventory doesnt seem to be a problem. Conveniently located near S Main and Capital Blvd.

Usual Wal-Mart, long lines on two registers while cashiers stand around looking at the long lines instead of opening a register. Weigmans is the way to go. Get in & get out. No long lines.
I rarely go in this Walmart but when I do Im disgusted, it never changes. The air conditioning doesnt work. Its warm and humid in there, the floors are filthy! The conveyor belts are filthy! The shelves are ALWAYS half empty. The produce never looks good and I never buy meat from them, I just dont trust it. That is my honest take on it and I like Walmarts, just not this one.

This store is the absolute worst! Zero customer service! I have placed several orders for grocery delivery and instead of delivering the order they never show up and just cancel the order at midnight. No true apology or explanation. I have even gone there to pick-up my order and told by an associate to just leave because they weren’t going to be able to get to my order.

Im not usually one to complain but I just had the worst customer experience of my life. The attendant at the self checkout towards the left as you are leaving on the evening of 06-21-21 should not be anywhere near customers. I dont mind if youre not happy with your job, I cant imagine its fulfilling, but to go out of your way to be hateful is quite another thing. I attempted to call the store as I dont like dumping online, it just does seem right, but here we are.
What a disappointing pick up experience. I followed directions and called the # posted. I never received a call back! I could hear ladies casually talking 2 cars away! After getting out of my car & inquiring with the employee (who was in conversation with the other person), I was told to wait a minute.....only to have the other cigarette smoking woman ask my name to check, ( no, she had no walmart uniform or tag on). She proceeds to speak with, yet, another employee. Yes, he went in and retrieved my purchase thanks to the cigarette smokers who must have been officially off today! POOR pick up service and unprofessional, unidentified workers!

They only had one - I REPEAT ONE - register open in the entire store that wasn’t self check out. Water aisle is empty. Video game section pathetic. Out of the orange bolt house farm, which was the whole reason I was sent to the store. Rude and uneducated employees. Just a terrible store.
Please tell me why i’ve been waiting at pickup for an hour, 2:30-3:30pm …people who got here after me have got their groceries and left. I took my baby to the dr before this and he’s crying and ready for his nap. COME ON.
If you want to go somewhere that treats you like youre stealing somthing go here. For some reason I was targeted while everyone else walked by with items that wasnt in bags they let them right on out but when I got up to walk I was stopped but nobody else was.

I hate the lack of real people to check you out. If I have to check my self out I would rather order else where on line or shop somewhere that doesnt require me to work for free. Self checkout should come with an automatic coupon of 5%. Just saying your time is valuable and I dont believe in giving big business Free Labor.
This is my preferred Walmart in the area. I have noticed the shelves tend to be empty lately though. The employees are always friendly and helpful.

Omg. Supposed to get a grocery delivery today. Never happened. Was told to go pick it up. Long line and then told I couldnt pick it up today. Gave up. Horrible customer service. Never bothered to tell me my order wasnt going to be delivered.
Though the prices are good, this was the third time what I wanted was not in stock.

Always long lines and not enough cashiers open. They need to adapt the Target/Chick Fil A rule about not more than two customers on line waiting (Target) and quick service with a smile (CFA). Aisles are always sloppy and partially empty.
I can never find employees in the sports/hunting section and so many items throughout the store aren’t stocked. A couple employees have been really careless and forget what they agreed to help me with, costing in a lot of time waiting. On top of that, nobody answers the phone ever? At least in my experience.
This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had. I drive for a delivery company and received an order to pick up an online grocery order. Several employees asked me for the name of the order I was there to pick up and told me that the order was nearly ready. In the time spent waiting another order came up from the same location. I called to inform them that I was picking up both and they told me that both would be ready soon. I waited another 20-30 minutes before calling again where I was informed that they had no such orders. Completely wasted my time and affected my ability to do my job. Absolutely unacceptable
I like Wal-Mart for what it is but this one was definitely lower than most. There were no prices on almost everything and the in store employee shoppers were very inconsiderate of the other shoppers.

There pick up ordering system is beyond repair. I placed a grocery pick up order the day before I picked it up. (Orders monday, pick up Tuesday) I get there at 5:05pm and I had til 6pm to get my order. I waited for over an hour for my order to come out. So many people were angry and the line almost wrapped around the building. Ive had issues in the past with the lengthy process of picking up, but this time was ridiculous. I tried calling the pick up order dept. No answer. Others were getting out of their cars and were very angry. Ill never order for pickup ever again.

Desperately need to improve their Grocery pickup service at this location. The employees are GREAT! HOWEVER, there have been multiple times where we wait in line right beside the store to get a spot (as were supposed to)....and then people who are pulling into the grocery pickup area (last second) and right before a spot opens up then steal the spots!! Needs BIG SIGNS stating where the line is and road paint establishing a clear “line”!! People who wait at the entrance of grocery pickup are also blocking people from getting to the line. Absolutely horrible. Also, the wait time has been crazy here for the past 3 months. May be taking my business somewhere else.

This is my local WalMart and it’s probably one of the cleanest ones I’ve ever been to. They generally have everything I need to get. Sometimes they’re out of stock on something but that’s the case anywhere you go—they’re not consistently out of stock of the things I need. Whenever I need to ask a staff member a question, they have been very helpful and kind. Keep up the good work!

Many of the items I have frequently purchased from Walmart are abruptly no longer carried, (corporates only alternative is for me to purchase a case of the item, which is not an option) as a result this causes me to continue turning to online shopping. However, I continue to shop here because the low prices and large variety of products is friendly on my wallet, and time. But, most of all I enjoy the fabric section because despite the small selection this shopping location is much more convenient than trekking to Joann fabrics in Raleigh or Durham.
It was a busy time in the store people on way home from work. Only 1 woman open on the registers and she didnt feel good. Line of upset customers waiting a long time for this one woman. I was really frustrated over 1 person waiting on customers. I saw 8 workers in Walmart standing in a group talking and some of them walking back and forth to service counter. There were 5 employees at service center. This was a horrible experience. This was the Wake Forest NC Walmart! Next time I will leave my full cart in the line and walk out before I do that again. Really poor customer service to all the customers in the line.
This Walmart is consistently out of stock on major grocery items. Mainly perishable items in dairy.They have empty shelves often for staples such as yogurt and orange juice. Packaged meats are usually sparce. Cheese, butter, and refrigerated dough products such as biscuits and cookies are often sold out or heavily shopped.Late nights are disconcerting as freight is brought to the floor usually beginning at 8pm causing difficulty navigating bergen aisles.The produce is often not fresh at best: molded or rotten at worst.In 2019, I discovered small flies inside of multiple boxes of donuts which were on the shelf. They literally had an infestation. Im not talking a few. Im talking dozens of small flies /gnats in multiple boxes.Another thing to consider: Walmart has their donuts pre-made. They sit frozen in their Henderson, NC distribution center. They are then shipped out where they are thawed and iced. They are - not- baked fresh in store.Staff appears to be indifferent.
