In the process of trying to get special order doors for a shed which were damaged during an attempted burglary. Christy has been very helpful in trying to accommodate my needs on the sizing and type of doors I need. Hopefully well be able to get something ordered to replace my damaged ones.

Great hometown type lumber yard and hardware shop. I needed a front door lockset repaired and they were spot on having the parts and expertise to get the worn gadgets and springs replaced and everything back together while I browsed for a few other items. Their contractor desk was humming so Id guess this is also where the pros go. Ill be back...

The price is right and they run an efficient machine. Shopped around and found they had the best prices.I called, verified they had the material I wanted on hand, went in, paid, they loaded and I strapped it. It was a painless experience.

I have done business with this lumber yard for the last year, as a contractor.I have had a few times when what I needed was not in stock and I was forced to buy a more expensive option.There biggest draw down is there loading. I have not had even 1 time when I come to buy lumber and have spent less than 1 hour waiting to have my truck loaded. I have waited for as much as nearly 2 hours before, and would say the average wait to have the lumber loaded is around 1 hour and 20 minutes.

They are very helpful and always ready to help you find the right material to complete a job.

Good place to find the hard to find, but don’t go during their lunch. I waited 40 minutes for two boards. Also, they’ll kick you out at the door if you aren’t wearing a mask.

In general they have the best pricing you will find anywhere in Waco if you dont have a volume account with some of the other supply houses. Their general hardware selection is excellent and they carry a quality selection of tools and such. Ive spent well over $100k here and they do their business right.

GY is a great local lumberyard with very knowledgeable staff. They have a good selection of miscellaneous hardware, too. While its not as large as the big box stores, the service is much better.

Best in waco for Building materials. Prices are good and the quality is always better.. And the inside staff is very knowledgeable and the yard staff is very professional and courteous

The worst service ever. Me and my husband, with our kids because we were in a hurry to make it before it closed, walked in there for the first time and we needed pricing. My husband asked about the dry wall and they said they had some. Thats it nothing else. So I asked about doors and he said the Lady over there can help, she showed us doors and pricing, she was nice, no complaints with her. The pricing was too high for a door so we asked about windows she directed us to a man over at the counter where we walked in at. We asked him about pricing for window. We were ready to leave when I turned to ask about pricing for drywall. As Im asking the man I just asked about windows looked right at me and knew I was talking to him but looks at his buddy and smiles and laughs. Now Im over here with my husband standing and holding my kid and waiting for an answer, so I asked again, he does the samething. We are not going back because the experience was the worst.

This is the place to go for all your home improvement needs. They have that family run, home style customer service you just dont find anymore. They can answer any questions and get you out the door quickly.

I have always been very pleased with staff and yard workers at Gross Yowell..theyre always accommodating the only reason I would ever go to Home Depot or Lowes is because gross-yowell is closed. They are ready to wait on you as soon as you walk in the door they are very neat and organized inside and outside in the yard very helpful.. whenever I have gone to another Lumberyard for convenience I always realize that I have made a mistake
