My stylist Amanda is talented and a wonderful person; a true gem to the salon. Amanda thank you for your excellent service!! I like JCP salons because you can count on quality products, reasonable prices for the most part, and youre usually able to find a stylist that does all hair type, not just hair type of a certain ethnicity and comfort level for them. It is ridiculous when you come across privately owned salons that will only cater to a certain hair type. A well trained stylist should be capable of performing commonly requested services such as a relaxer. Hair coloring which is commonly done with many caucasian women, is very similar in application to performing a relaxer, yet many caucasian owned or operated salons refuse to perform a relaxer service to other ethnic groups who desire to have this treatment.I am sure it would not be pleasing to them if they were denied services of any kind from other groups, simply because they werent comfortable or accustomed to certain processes or customs performed by them. As long as the stylist is properly trained and certified to perform the services, then there is no excuse to not do it, and cosmetology schools should include lessons on how to perform a relaxer, which Im sure they do.
Celina and the manager were both amazing! I came in with a disaster that I got done somewhere else and they both brainstormed on how to fix it then Celina executed it perfectly! I felt as though they understood my vision even better than I did and explained everything perfectly!
So I came in about two weeks ago and had my hair cut. I arrived early at my appointment with Sandra and waited 45 minutes. She literally spent the whole time gabbing with her customer. Finally another stylist took pity on me. I had a PHENOMENAL cut from Nikki. I would give Nikki 5 Stars. However I brought in my friend to get his done. Nikki wasnt available, so he had an appointment with Sandra. Sandra is apparently a Disaster Human. We waited 30 minutes past our appointment time. Then she spent 15 minutes saying she hated the computer and wanted to leave. She kept making excuses about how she didnt know what to do with my friends hair. It was incredibly unprofessional and honestly the worst experience. Then we had to actually explain how the clippers work. The whole situation was almost absurd enough to be hilarious. Listen, if you call and they give you an appointment with Sandra, dont waste your time. Either ask for someone else or go somewhere else.
If I could give more then 5 stars I absolutley would! I wont be going any where else from now!! Irene is the lady to see💗 she fixed my hair and made it look so pretty. She looked at my hair and was able to tell me what needed to be done to achieve my hair goals💗💗
I absolutely LOVED my service today with Amanda. She did amazing foils, my color is exactly what I wanted. She knows her business well!!
My friend came in to get a hair cut and color and the woman at the front was very rude and matter of factly informed her of the prices before hand as if my friend could not afford it. She cried for an hour because the woman was so rude. They need to not judge people and get some real customer service skills.
Everything was great until the price came up. Before I made an appointment I called to double check on the price for them to make ombré on my hair, they said about $45-60. So when I arrived for my appointment I made sure before they touched my hair to check the price once again incase something changed but the price was still the same when I called. So I let them proceed with my hair but after they finished my hair and I got what I want, the cashier lady told me it was $90!! I argued and told them that I called and double checked with them about the original price I was told but they had no sympathy whatsoever. Complete snobs! They will rip you off!
I showed up at 1:06 PM on Wed Oct. 9, 2013 at the JCP Salon in Waco, TX. I informed them that I wanted a full face threading service. They informed me that they do no thread. I had to then suggest waxing instead of threading. A gentleman which I am assuming is the manager stated that they do wax. Along side him was a white lady and Hispanic lady. The gentleman dashes behind the wall to search for someone who waxes. A black lady showed up and informed me that she does not wax on a full time basis and thus cannot wax my face. The gentleman returns and asks the Hispanic lady at the desk if she waxes. She stated yes but then started rambling. Clearly she also did not want to wax my face. I was upset but tried not to show it. There were now four people at the front desk that were not busy at all, did not have any clients in the shop and were just chatting instead of trying to wax my face and make me a customer and then a satisfied customer. I then had to suggest that I heard there is a threading place in the mall. The Hispanic lady finally got off from lying her back against the wall and tried to give me instructions on how to get to this threading store in the mall. I informed her and the other people I am not from here and thus did not know the stores she stated when trying to give me directions. I was so upset on their level of service that I just decided to give this other threading store a chance. JCP Salon had a huge missed opportunity. I am an extremely loyal client once I receive excellent service. I am a professional African American mother who was turned away for service either due to my race (judging me on first impression) OR just all four employees who were lazy and did not want to make revenue for the company and a nice tip for themselves. I suggest all four of these individuals be reprimanded and or fired. If they do not want to work they should stay home and not punch a clock. However, if you are on the clock and actually do perform waxing services, you should provide that to each and every customer that comes through the door. I will inform the religious community in Waco to not ever patronize this salon. Missed Opportunity = Missed Revenue = Eventual shutdown of JCP Salon.
Connie is amazing!!!!! So friendly and upbeat!!
It was cheap so i thought i’d give it a try . that was a total mistake . my haircut was uneven . i ended up with a typical old white lady haircut . I EVEN WANT HAIR EXTENSIONS NOW . don’t go here for a big chop sis, you’ll regret it (:
Today I went to have my hair painted, after 4 hours and paying 145 dollars, in the end it turned out that the desired tone was not left, I went with a dark brown tone wanting the tips blood red, I was left with a red that It was hardly noticeable, we compared my hair with the one in the sample and it did not look like anything, they blamed the product but if a client does not have what they want for the cost they pay, the process must be repeated or at least lower the cost, but I only received a sorry ... it is a terrible anger that I had because no change was noticeable, I just lost my money.Unprofessional results.
