Don’t go anywhere else in Waco. Great customer service from Hunter and Sal the entire time we connected (multiple phone calls, visit in person, and follow-up call after we left). Could not have been nicer and tried their best to work with us to find us a good fit given the credit score and monthly payments we were working with. If you want a great experience, excellent service and a good team, come see Hunter and Sal. (Plus side: family friendly with a nice waiting area that had snacks and a TV). Such a nice group of people!!!
These are definitely troubling times when it comes to purchasing a new or used vehicle. Inventories are low and prices are high, largely, as I understand it, due to the computer chip shortage. Still, I needed to replace my aging car and had been looking for awhile, so I knew the market conditions. On a whim, I stopped by Douglass Subaru and briefly spoke with the sales manager who was out doing an inventory of used cars. I told her what I was looking for and she immediately assigned Casey to help me out. After working with him for just a little while, it became obvious that Casey really knows cars, and not just Subarus. After viewing and test driving several cars, I spotted a late model (2019) Outback with low miles. It was on the high end of my budget, but I did a quick search on my phone for a better deal anywhere in Texas and came up empty-handed. Not only that, but this car is certified, which means it has a warranty which extends far beyond the standard 3 year/36000 miles of most new cars. Still, the dealership did negotiate a few hundred dollars off of their listed price. To finally make the deal work, they did a terrific job of negotiating an interest rate near that of a new car. An added note: Kudos to everyone working in sales to wear a mask while indoors. They dont require it for customers, but I view their effort to the health and well-being of the general public as respectful, and I appreciate it. Bottom line: I have found Douglass Subaru to be a trustworthy dealership!
Hold the phone real quick…ask yourself, have you ever had a good experience with any car dealer? Well this was our best car buying experience in a very very long time. I called every Subaru dealership within a reasonable commuting distance to find my wife an 8 passenger Ascent Limited. There is very limited stock with the chip shortage. After getting the run around with other dealers expensive dealer add-ons and crazy markups I had one last dealer to call right around closing time. I got to speak with one of the sales managers by the name of Sean. I asked Sean all the targeted questions about dealer add ons and markup, he stated they only sell at MSRP during these crazy times. It was a great conversion and we scheduled an appointment for the following morning. This is our 6th Subaru and we couldn’t have had an easier and pleasant experience. No high ball haggle, great value on our trade and super easy financing. No back and forth with the “sales manager tower of power..” We got in at 9:00, Mr. Hunter Work greeted us for our scheduled appointment. He walked us through the features of the Ascent and started the paperwork. We rolled out in our new 2021 Ascent Limited 8 passenger at 11:00. Thanks for the great service.
This is the WORST place to buy a Subaru from! I bought my last one from Cleo Bay in Killeen and they were GREAT! But here Im a Veteran and Im still waiting on my refund check from my registration, Ive spoken to Montana, Brent my sales guy several times and left messages for Aaron to which I get no response or a hes with a customer and you have to speak with Aaron. I still havent received the tool for the bars on top of the car and Im pretty sure they forged my signature on the title because they stopped calling me to sign it and I told them Id sign it once I got my check that Im owed. Im about to report them to the state and the better business bureau.

This business should be ashamed of themselves. I bought a used car in March and took it to this establishment to get a small oil leak fixed in April. I specifically said fix the oil leak only as they gave me a litany of issues that were wrong. None of these issues have been a problem so far and it is now September. The oil leak is still occurring, and they got my 1200. They refuse to give me my money back, provide a rental car, or come pick up my car. Their customer service is a ZERO because they kept my car for a week, never called me for updates on my car, and never even called to say it was ready. I had to contact them every time. Seems like a scam. Next I am contacting the BBB. My name is Vatina Herring.

I’m not the one to give reviews because I try to just move on from any experience. Yesterday I accompanied my boyfriend trading in his vehicle for a Subaru. I got to witness fair treatment and how everyone was so nice and willing to accommodate him. Witnessing this made me feel comfortable enough to come in and get a vehicle appraisal and a quote (without running my credit) since my boyfriend got the same before making a decision. Although I understand finance and credit approvals, I wasn’t ready for the run and just wanted a quote so I can get an idea of what payments could look like when I was ready to make a trade. I didn’t get this type of fair treatment as my boyfriend did the previous day. The vehicle they matched for me had scratches all over the outside and filled with dog hair. I left without a quote or an idea if this was a trade I wanted to make. I wasn’t allowed a quote and they only wanted to run my credit. I feel as if there was a bias against me and I left feeling very embarrassed and small. Which makes me disappointed since I saw my boyfriend get treated so well the day before. I don’t make these claims or posts reviews often as I try to be understanding of different situations. Even if I wanted to come back and pay a bigger down payment I’m far too embarrassed and ashamed.
I want to say, first of all, the only reason we purchased from Douglass Subaru is Brian Mehta. Brent Neubauer was very rude, he seemed too busy for us, like we werent serious about buying a car. We went in with the specific price range and he continued to try to upsell me to the sports model Crosstrek, almost like he wanted to keep it out of our price range. And proceeded to tell me that the premium Crosstrek just wasnt as good as the sports model. We finally found one that we liked and was in our price range but was coming in on a shipment. We were told that he would call us whenever it came in so we could come in and look at it and test drive it. I called up there to check when it was supposed to be there and apparently it was already promised to somebody else because we didnt put $500 down to save it in our name. I was not happy so he sent me to Brian Mehta. Brian made it right and even got us the original car back because I guess the other people didnt really want it. If it wasnt for Brian we would have never bought from Subaru in Waco.

This is the BEST car buying experience I have ever had and I am an experienced shopper. Hunter was friendly, courteous, helpful, and transparent. He was able to help me take care of most of the process from home so I didnt have to spend hours at the dealership. He was waiting for me outside when I arrived and had my car ready for the test drive. I bought a Forrester that is was in excellent condition. He was patient and sent us text when he could find what was in our range and what we wanted. But wouldn’t be pushy. I have to give this dealership 5 stars. I bought a used car and it was a wonderful experience. Joey was pleasant to work with. All the the employees were great and very professional. They decreased the price to match my budget. The process was smooth and I felt I got a really great deal. The day after I bought the car I realized that the bluetooth part of the radio was not working. I went back to the dealership and the manager was very responsive, they replaced my car radio and got it back to me the same day with no additional cost. We went in to look at the Subaru Ascent with the Java interior. They had a dark gray color that we took for a test drive. Our sales person, Joey Ortiz, listened to our wants and when I said the blue exterior, Touring, with the Java interior was the one I wanted, he was able to deliver. They had just received one in and I was able to take it home that day. I have used Douglass Subaru for all of my service needs on my Outback I traded in and have always been happy. I’m glad I was able to find what I wanted at Douglass Subaru. I can’t wait until they move to their new location. Great place to do business and they have great sales and service departments and staff.

On a cross country trip, we pulled into the service department about 5 minutes before closing time on a Saturday afternoon. We had multiple warning lights on the dashboard.The service department stayed late to run some diagnostics, add 1/2 quart of oil, clear some codes and let us know we could continue our trip and have service done at our final destination.Since the next day was Sunday and no service departments would be open, Douglass Subaru saved us 2 days in our trip by staying a little late.We really appreciate them.

I had looked into Subaru and my husband had been in Douglass Subaru looking for me.Shane Coleman helped us make our decision. He was so helpful and nice .All the staff were .They also practice good COVID-19 hygiene by wearing their mask and everything was sanitized.I am a nurse so I look for good practice.It took me awhile too make up my mind on Color but Shane didn’t push me and just acted like he had all the time in the world and it was late.I will definitely go back to Douglass Subaru for my or my family next car. Guys let me tell you, Shane Coleman and the whole entire staff were amazing! They do not try to strong-arm you or haggle you into doing something different than what you had in mind. I was preapproved over the phone (and my credit SUCKS), and I was in there in two hours......that is including test driving, paperwork, and waiting 45 minutes for my insurance to send over proof of full coverage insurance LOL. Way quick way awesome!

Impressed. Went for routine oil change. I also had a recall on my Crosstrek. I forgot to mention it, but they did the recall and the oil change at the same time. No need to make another trip to the dealership. Great service.

My wife dropped her car off to be serviced and required a ride to work.A porter by the name of Eddie drove her and she said he was very professional and made her feel comfortable (she was nervous riding with a stranger) she went as far to tell me to request him when it is my turn to service my car..as she will also.not sure if there is a bonus system or point system or not but we would like to recommend him for this. We have purchased 2 vehicles with you guys and will be making another very soon.Great job Subaru!!
Please be cautious if you are bringing your car in to be serviced and need transportation to work or home.My mother brought her car to be serviced and needed to get to work,she was driven by a man named Christopher and she said it was clear he was under the influence of some sort of drug and wasnt driving safely and looked very strange in the eyes. I am in the process of getting a meeting with the owner of this dealership, my mother is very up upset because Subaru has been her go to dealership for as long as I can remember .Just please be cautious
Shay was courteous, friendly and responded right away to my initial inquiry over email and phone. Tony and Brian were helpful and attentive on the sales side. Traci was caring and efficient in the purchase paperwork process. My only reason for 4 stars vs. 5 was some misinformation at one point, that caused a hiccup in an otherwise smooth process. But I am overall happy with my purchase, and believe the team at Douglass Subaru truly wants to serve their customers well.

Went to check out the selection a week ago and decided I wanted to buy a Legacy Limited after driving one. The sales people did not chase me down or badger me when looking with no intent to buy that day like other dealerships. Did some shopping around and found that their price beat others by about 500 dollars, and when I came to buy the price had come down even more. Came back a week later to buy and the process was as painless as I have had at a dealership. Sales people and managers were friendly, helpful, and direct. Finance manager was organized and wonderful. The process took some time but buying a car always does. I am supremely happy with my decision to buy from Douglass. Wendy Nelson was my sales person and she was absolutely wonderful and helpful through the entire process.

Great customer service! Douglass Subaru found my car at another dealership and brought it down to Waco for me to see. I was ready trade in my previous Subaru for the new one. Salesman (Charles) and the others at Douglass Subaru worked with my credit union to get the financing set-up and the deal was done. Charles also spent time when I picked up the car to show me how the features that were not in my last car worked before I left the dealership. Love the car and the high level of service that Douglass Subaru provides.
New ownership, it is now Douglass Subaru. I visited on what happened to be their first day under new ownership (September 1, 2018). They were a pleasure to work with. My salesperson, Charles, was friendly and easy to talk to. They communicated very well through the whole process. They don’t add a bunch of stuff to the car to inflate the price. I visited another dealership the day before, and they had added several things to the price sheet that weren’t even installed yet. Douglass Subaru did not do this. I will be driving up from the Killeen area for my service appointments because Douglass Subaru made me a satisfied customer. Unlike the one closer to me.

I have taken my 2014 Subaru Forester for service a number of times now and received excellent service every time. Their oil changes are the best price in town for a Forester and they were able to drop me off and pick me up for the longer 60K mile service they performed. I dont write a lot of reviews but Im doing this one because I really thought these guys were exceptional. Highly recommend.

I came here to get my car serviced. I made an appointment and dropped it off, they looked it over and basically called me back because the work I thought needed to be done- didnt need to be done. I was getting my pedicure on and wouldnt be able to come right back but they said no problem and they would park it out front. They didnt charge me anything for even looking it over. This place was fantastic, everyone was so friendly and honest! I will be getting my car serviced here again and am genuinely happy with the amazing service I got today. You need to be coming here for all your car needs and if their sales department is half as good as their service department you should be buying here as well.

Finally got to see the paperwork for the Outback my 80 year old father purchased from them a year ago. $5,200 for gap insurance, windshield and dent protection, extended warranty, and a service plan. He’s been told only the gap insurance is refundable. His down payment and trade-in were eaten up by these services. He can’t drive anymore and we’ll have to sell the car for a loss. He says they kept him there 4 hours and he’d have signed anything to be done with the deal. He’s never wasted money on these things in the past.
I asked for gas in the car since it was on complete E and didn’t want to break down while test driving it and he didn’t seem to want to and then he said it couldn’t be very long because he had other customers to help. After all that he wouldn’t even compromise on my trade in didn’t even seem like he wanted to make a deal. I just bought my car two months ago and put 4K down and all I was asking was pay off and I’d take a care from them but he wouldn’t give it. Never been treated worse. Won’t be back here.
We bought our car here and come here faithfully for maintenance, even though I’m an hour away. I scheduled an 8 am oil change and still waiting. They are getting worse and worse on customer service. Loved my sales person. Think it’s about time to find someplace else.

Brought my 2018 WRX in for its first service at Jubilee where I purchased it four months ago. Even though my request to leave the car overnight was unusual it was handled quickly and efficiently. I greatly appreciate the free detailing and the inspection that was done. All of my experiences with Jubilee have been enjoyable, professional and timely.
I wish I could give them an even higher rating. My wife and I drove from California to Texas to meet our new grandson. On the way, water began falling onto the passenger seat floor from under the dash. I took the car into Douglass Subaru thinking I was about to spend a bunch of money I didnt have on an AC issue. The service staff quickly found the AC drain hose had somehow become clogged. They cleared the clog, vacuumed up the water, and had me on my way in minutes - at no charge! The service staff were awesome! Thank you so very much! I only wish I lived closer to bring them business in the future!

This dealership went above and beyond with service and attitude. After frustrating experiences and lack of response from local dealers I went looking for a dealer who appreciates the customer and the business. It started out with an email to this dealers and a quick response back from an outstanding easy going salesman named Charles Hanson. He answered and was on top of locating a car for me and delivering on all that we discussed. That should seem like the role of every car salesman but I’ve bought enough cars in my time to know that unfortunately it isn’t always the case. I was so impressed with Charles from the start that on the phone we came to an agreement to purchase a car from him in about 15 minutes after a couple of phone calls in between. When you feel good about the person you’re dealing with, and comfortable he understands your needs and works with you to obtain a fair price, you have to realize that that is what makes a good deal and you shouldn’t hesitate to move forward. This is why I chose this dealership and to drive 2 hours from where I live to do business with them. From the General manager on down this little Subaru dealership is well run, big on customer service and Texas friendly attitude.
The Service department here has some serious issues. Each and every time I try to make an appointment there is a major issue. I have made appointments twice now and when I show up they say that someone called in sick and they do not have enough staff to service my Subaru. They ask me to return later. They do not have a courtesy car available. Hell, today they said even the shuttle driver called in sick. What is it about this place that makes all the employees call in sick every day? Is it the management? Black mold? Sick of work? My suggestion is that you take your business somewhere else.
