Our dryer stopped spinning, so we came here. The nice gentleman showing us the dryers.. he recommended that we check the belt and that only cost $20.00( instead of buying a new one). Sure enough that was the problem!! He was honest, very knowledgeable, straight forward, helped us and we saved $$$. Highly recommend him!!! P.S. They have beautiful appliances that are highly affordable if needed. I will consider them for my next purchase.

We just bought a washer/dryer and fridge for our Waco AirBnB. After having a nightmare of an experience with a national chain that rhymes with Home Depot, we turned to Discount Vacuum and Appliance. Wish Id have gone their first but we live in Round Rock and just didnt know how good the folks at Discount are. We went in on a Saturday morning, talked to one of the sales folks at Discount who helped us find the perfect washer/dryer and refrigerator for our compact space literally within 2-3 minutes. We were out the door in 15 minutes and they even delivered it same-day (David and Tommy were great installers and quite friendly). I know the expectation is within 1-2 business days but they were even faster! We had an issue with a leak after running the wash cycle and they sent a tech same-day who diagnosed the problem not with the washer but with the drain in the house which is new but just couldnt handle the water for whatever reason. Please, do yourself a favor, stop doing business with big box stores that do not really care about the customer. Live local, buy local. These folks know what they are doing and they do right by the customer! My highest recommendation!

Purchased a new Whirlpool Dishwasher, priced well. Set up apt. for the next day to install. Toby the installer communicated perfectly on times he would be there and how long it would take. Good service. They repaired my sewing machine. It took almost a week but like everywhere else they are shirt handed. My machine sewing sees great and they even cleaned the entire machine.

My 30 year old singer sewing machine was not feeding the material. Dropped it off and about a week later it was ready for pick up. Great Job.Then I asked if they repaired refrigerators. Mine needed a new thermostat. They did. The repairman came the same day and I now have a refrigerator that is working.

I called and had a box freezer purchased and delivered within 45 minutes at 4:30pm on a Saturday. It was an urgent need and they took care of me without a problem. So appreciated the process, price and customer service.

After a failed appliance delivery from Home Depot with a broken stove, dishwasher that wouldn’t fit, and a missing refrigerator, I was in a time crunch. Thankfully Richard was able to find me all 3 appliances in the sizes that I needed. I spent about the same, but got much better quality brands like GE. They even delivered the same day!! Delivery guys were awesome as well.

We just popped in to see if they had a refrigerator door replacement because the soonest Amazon would have it was next week. They checked their computers and brought it out to us! We were in and out in less than 10 minutes.

The customer service is outstanding. We both work in the service industry, and know good customer service. The office responded professionally, (no voice mail) and the tech arrived the next day. As it turned out the LG washing machine required a simple repair. The machine was repaired, tested and retested. The Tech completed the job quickly and efficiently. I will use Discount Vacuum and Appliance service again. Good home town Waco service.

Didnt have what I needed in stock but friendly.

They always seem to have the parts we need for our appliances when they break. They even helped us diagnose what was wrong with our dryer over the phone when it broke. 4 stars because there has been an occasion where they seemed to have closed early on saturday even though their times clearly stated they closed at 5:30 and it was almost 5:00. There was no note or anything stating that they closed early. Just a locked door. So my suggestion is to try to go in the morning or early afternoon or maybe call before you go if it is close to their closing time to ensure they will be there.

If ur in need of appliences and need them that day like we did this is the place u can count on. Yes the appliences are used but still new tho and worth getting at the cheapest price. Needed a fridge ASAP and got it that same day within the hour I purchased it. Always recommend this place

I have been to the store half a dozen times in the last 5 years looking for replacement parts for my washer, dryer or lawn mower. They never have the part I need. now if I am looking for a good price on an appliance for indoor or outdoor use I would definitely recommend this place as their prices are the same as big box stores or slightly cheaper. The people that work at this store have no energy nor desire to wait upon you. If you know what you want, then you should give this door try before going to Home Depot or Lowes.

We had been looking for an affordable double oven for weeks and shopped around Waco, Temple, Dallas and Fort Worth. Discount Vacuum had the best price and service plan for a new appliance. The customer service is excellent and our new oven is better than what we thought we could get for our budget. The unit was delivered right to our home and they were even able to recommend and excellent service to have it professionally installed. I will strongly recommend this business in the future to friends and family.

Came in looking for an appliance desperately needed, expected to be immediately greeted and attended to but the person responsible for that didnt do either of those things and the appliance that was within my price range was not even clean. They were using it as a personal fridge. Will never go back. Was a waste of time and gas for me.

Good place for the DIY type to get stuff for their appliance repairs

I was torn between leaving a 3 star review or a 2 star review for this business. The men that worked there were ok and they had the dryer belt that I needed to repair my dryer. They suggested I also get a new idle pulley as they have the newer version. I was stunned by the $37 price tag and when I left I checked online to see competitors pricing. You can get the same products for $15 on amazon with one day shipping. and to top it off, the idle pulley he gave me was the old version, not the new ones shown online! I understand being a small business they have to upcharge products but this is completely ridiculous. I wasnt even given an itomized receipt to see where this price was determined. Will not be back.

Had a dryer stop working, they helped me troubleshoot the problem and sold me the correct part at the best price...I had to update my review, just bought a dryer door switch that went out. Called Sears service for parts, said they could have it to me a week and a half later at $36. After telling them i would look at a parts store i know of (Discount Vacuum and Appliance), Sears assured me that no one would have it since its a Sears product. $15 and a day later dryer is running again. Needless to say, just go to Discount first they will most likly have it, if not they will have it the next day.

I asked for a white dishwasher. They gave me what they assured me was a white dishwasher. When I opened the box on Sunday, it was a black dishwasher. And they are closed today. Very frustratingBut.... this post is with a frustrated heart. They do have good prices on basic appliances. And they did a great job servicing my Bernina serger. And I am sure this issue will be resolved.

RUN AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE! My 88 year-old widowed mother-in-law needed a new refrigerator this Christmas because hers was making a terrible noise. It still cooled and produced ice, but it sounded like it would die any day. We were visiting from Dallas, so we decided to purchase a new refrigerator from Discount Vacuum, and have it delivered it and installed. They installed it, checked to make sure it was working, including hooking up the water for the ice maker. Since then, the ice-maker hasnt worked properly, and they refuse to fix the problem or refund our money. We have called several times, and they have acted as if they couldnt care less. My mother-in-law has been into the store, where they promised to make everything right. The next day when she called, they told her they weren’t going to do anything. They have actually been very hostile and belligerent to my wife when she calls to resolve the problem. It’s shameful that they would take advantage of an 88 year-old widow. I would recommend that you stay away from this business. Go somewhere else - anywhere else.

My 80 year old grandmother took her sewing machine in to have it repaired. She informed him that she didnt want to spend a lot on repairing the machine because they arent that expensive to buy new. He said no problem he would take a look at it and call her with a quote. Instead he fixed her machine and charged her over $200 to fix it. She could have purchased a new machine for a little bit more. He knew she wouldnt want him to fix it, so he didnt bother giving her a quote. He is a crook and shouldnt be trusted. Make sure you get in writing that he will provide a quote before leaving anything.

I took my vacuum hose here to have it replaced, they said as long as you have both ends its no problem, so I dropped it off and waited. They said itll be a week as the one that does hoses is out this week, 5 weeks later I call to check on it, I was rudely told itll be ready in 2 days..$32 later... its been about 3 months since then and the hose has torn in about 7 different places and the first spots to tear were at the ends where they would have done any work to. Horrible quality, horrible customer service, I would not recommend for my worst enemy to go there. Shameful

I needed to replace a water fill valve on my washing machine.Unfortunately this is the only place in town I could find one. They were expensive, rude, and acted like they really didnt care. I was also told that even if the part turned out to be defective, that I would not be able to return it.If I didnt need the part today, I would have ordered through someone else or online.

I put a vacuum and a shampooer in and did not receive a call for two weeks. I finally called and they said the vacuum could not be fixed and that they dont know whats going on with the shampooer. Seems they dont care.

I asked about the price I received over the phone and they said someone must have popped off and given me the wrong price. Im sorry, but I keep my word and I like to do business with the same.
