Ill NEVER go to this place again. I went to get an oil change and they charged me for an oil change that was not discussed on the phone the night before. Then the day of, they did not ask me, nor did the give me the opportunity to say yes or no for the more expensive oil change. Then, they were telling me I needed this and that. Well 2 weeks later my car started leaking oil all over my garage floor. So, I took it to another mechanic and so they took my car into their garage to look at it. They told me that1. Midas had put the wrong oil filter on my car. It was for another car.2. The oil they put in was more likely overfilled because after leaking the oil. It was still between the fill and low line3. The drain nut was looseI took the report I got from the mechanic shop back to Midas and demanded my money back. The manager apologized to me and said that the guy that worked on my car was new. I told him, Well then get someone to watch over him or get that guy out of there and get him more training.I will NOT be going back there and I recommend you dont either!!My rating: 👎👎👎👎👎

I took my car here because my brakes failed and my car would overheat sometimes. At first they called me on my phone and quoted that it would cost 1800$ to fix both things, that my radiator neeed to be replaced, i told him i couldnt afford to pay 1800, i told him to just fix the car brake failure. Then he gave me another quote saying they fix both problems for 1400. He was like hustling me. My car is not worth that much and paying such high price is not worth it. I rather take the risk taking it to backyard mechanic. My car has a value of about 2500. So any way i had them fix my brake failure problem which ended up expensive. Later on i took my car to another mechanic to check the radiator and he said it was in good condition, no replacement needed. Midas told me that it had a leak, which was a LiE. I use to take my cars to fix at Midas and they were always honest and fair, now this happened and now they lost my TRUST..

I was on a roadtrip and our brakes started to act up. Luckily I called Midas right away the next morning and they were able to fit me in and get me back on the road quickly. Mike was extremely accommodating and his demeanor was very pleasant and professional. Id like to say Id come back for my routine maintenance but I live way out of state.

I had a bad tail light that needed replacing and I brought it in and Mike changed it out and serviced us right away so that my family did not even have to get out of the car. I scheduled an appointment for the next day to get brand new tires and I was in and out of there in no time. Where this place really earned my business was in their customer service. They were courteous, respectful, and timely. They were upfront and honest about costs and made it really a stress-free experience.

I just want to say thanks to Manuel, Mike and the rest of the team at this location. They came to me from a referral and I needed major help with a massive oil leak I had on my 1999 Jetta. They took it in on a Saturday, got to it in a timely manner and gave me a breakdown of the possibilities and estimate. We waited for the hard-to-find German parts to come in and they got to the car right away. I got a call with the news that they discovered it might only be an o-ring that would need to be replaced and not the whole oil filter bracket. They replaced the o-ring, reinstalled the existing bracket and...it worked! They returned the ordered part, saving me almost $300 and charged me only the cost of the o-ring labor and oil. I am so surprised and appreciative at their honesty and integrity, which is hard to find in this industry.The guys here have also gone way above-and-beyond to help with other instances I have had with this car. I cant thank you enough. My experience with Manuel Mendoza and Mike Richards at this location has been outstanding and I give them my highest recommendation if you are in need of auto repair, service or parts. DO NOT GO TO MIDAS!Had my car towed to Midas thinking I could trust them, BIG MISTAKE. I had to get my engine, waterpump & radiator replaced (along with having other services done to get my car in good shape).Over the course of 2 mnths, my car was in their shop for the majority of that time due to continuous misdiagnoses & faulty parts that needed to be replaced after already having replaced them thru Midas. I continuously gave them the opportunity to fix their mistakes and I was very patient as I rather have them take their time to work on my car and get it done right than rush thru it & end up having to deal with more headaches. Or so I thought.During one of the many times I had to take my car bk to Midas, they somehow managed to break my drivers seat headrest & sent me off thinking I wouldnt notice. I returned the nxt morning right at opening and asked Mike if they had any work that involved them being inside of my car, to which he replied no. I asked this bcuz it very much looked like the damage of the headrest had to have came from someone pulling on it from the backseat. They offered to repair it & did not charge me but did claim it was just a bad clip on the inside of the headrest.During this time I had also paid for my brakes, wheels & tires to be checked & ended up replacing 2 of my tires. According to Mike, my wheels worked fine so their suggestion was to keep them & replace my tires. After this, I had noticed my tire becoming low on air & unfortunately Midas had once again misdiagnosed the actual problem. My tire was shredded. At this point they still hadnt diagnosed my wheel correctly, after having said that they dunked it & had me purchase a 3rd tire to replace that one.It took 2 weeks & ME contacting them to ask if my headrest had came in yet to get it replaced. When I spoke to Mike about scheduling a time I could go in, I mentioned to him my tire was still not holding air & that it had gotten worse nw. I let him know I had to be checking my tire pressure before leaving the house & was upset that I had paid over 7 grand at that point to not have a dependable car.When I took my car back to have my headrest replaced they also checked my tire & wheel to see what the problem was. They asked me to go into the store @ the end of the day & told me they wanted to show me what they had discovered. Mike sprayed solution on my wheel to show me the bubbles forming, telling me that I had to replace my wheel bcuz there wasnt a way to fix that problem. Mike said that I must have hit something very hard to have it crack the way it did during the 2 weeks I had my car. I hadnt & expressed that I was upset that this was a reoccurring issue on the same wheel and tire we had previously discussed numerous time. I let Mike know that it was obvious to me that this was another misdiagnoses on their behalf and that bcuz of it my wheel had only gotten worse over time and that the 3rd tire I had purchased from them should be refunded to me bcuz if they had diagnosed it correctly I wouldnt have had to purchase it to begin with. To which he got upset and refused. The only solution he offered was to outsource and see if a local welding company could fix it. So he kept my wheel, and sent me off on my spare.After waiting MORE time, I finally heard back from Mike. More bad news. He informed me that the welding company could not fix it & that the crack was strange bcuz of the placement. Which was weird, bcuz his first claim was that I would have had to hit my wheel very hard. He also let me know that I wouldnt be recieving a refund nor would they be replacing my wheel.I called corp. who then had to contact resolutions to file a investigation bcuz the store manager hadnt responded to their attempts to speak to him. After a month, Mike contacted me to refund me the 3rd tire purchase but failed to have my cash when he asked me to go in. More time wasted.Here I am 3 months later & over $7000 paid to NOT have a dependable car, STILL on my spare & have no money to go elsewhere bcuz I spent my entire savings.

I have been taking my vehicles to this Midas since I was 16. I have them check all my cars before long trips. I even call and ask about particular cars before purchasing. Mike and his crew are great. They aren’t some speedy in and out shop, but that’s because they are busy and they do the work right. Mike runs his business with honesty and integrity. I know from my own experience as well as friends and family, he won’t try to up sell you. He gives you options and gets you on the road and safely.

Honestly, honesty is the most expensive car part you can purchase in my opinion in the car industry. That may be applicable to a few other Industries as well.. that being said new to this beautiful V8 driven Visalia I was looking for a goodol coin for steel price like how Dad did it and after doing business with surrounding auto shop Ill just say I miss the old way of doing things, Michael and his team offer just that. After driving my vehicle for a few days Im confident in there work this is the second vehicle taken to them and there will be a third. 😊

My husband had a 10:00 A.M. appointment 3/2/19 and didnt get out of there till 4:00 P.M. He had new breaks put on in Nov 2018. We went on a trip to Newport, Ca. And coming down a hill to a stop light, he put the breaks and they made a grinding sound. Concerned us both. Made appointment on the way home for the next morning. They checked the breaks and said they worked fine. The sound was just because they were new and just cosmetic. My husband told them we usually pull a 8,500 lb trailer and we need the breaks to work good not just fine, without grinding. So the manager offered to replace the break pads with heavy duty break pads. The same ones he puts on emergency vehicles he said. We paid extra for them. The other thing, my husband took an older customer of theirs to his home because they couldnt give him a ride .(They were keeping his car overnight ) And he was sick with the flu. We sprayed Lysol all over our truck when my husband finally got home. What a joke this place is. Will not recommend it. And will not go back.

These guys are the best. They actually physically showed me the problem and explained to me what job certain parts of the engine play in the preformance. The workers are very nice and well mannered and they are all very wise when it comes to fixing your car. The only kicker is its 95 and hour for labor. If you can afford that definitely bring your car here.

This place is a joke..all day there for a alignment and when done after 6hrs or more my stearing wheel was upside down when driving straight..they said its not a big deal to other people, but just bring it in wow!! Plenty of more things that happen that day that i cant even get to because of frustration trying to explain..worthless and cant believe people even go there. This place is a Fraud!!

I always get great service here. Mike and Seth and all the staff is great. All 3 of my vehicles go here. The one thing i would change is a quick oil change lane so that my wife would take it in more vs. One of those quick lubes. I would like to have 100% of my service there, but the wife is very impatient. Lol.

Sketchy. Had an employee point out a simple fix then his boss butts in and started making it seem like it was a huge deal and very rudely insisted we needed to have them do a $200 troubleshoot not including labor at $95 an hour! Long story short I had my mechanic fix the issue in 15 minutes and didnt spend even half what Midas wanted to charge.

They specialize in troubleshooting, inspection, evaluation, and explanations.Automotive technicians that ACTUALLY troubleshoot, inspect, and offer their recommendations as well as the reasoning behind their recommendations. Every visit (four times, I think), either repair or routine maintenance, has had long term and lasting positive results down the road. 170k miles down and another 200k or more to go, I hope, with their TLC maintenance.A couple experiences. My transmission was shifting rough around 30 mph. I took it to a local transmission specialist shop. They shotgun troubleshot the problem from the desk and just swapped out some solenoids within the transmission. I didnt want them touching my car again so I found Midas in Visalia. They diagnosed the issue to one of the three speed sensors in the drive line being faulty. Swapped it out and it shifts much smoother now. I had an A/C fan shutdown issue at certain driving conditions. They troubleshot it COMPLETELY and told me exactly which part is bad, how it is likely broken, how cheap the part is, and how labor intensive (expensive $) itd be to dig the part out of the dash. The way they explain their findings have always left me with a feeling that I understand the condition of my car a LOT better than any other shop Ive ever been to. Shop around for prices if you want (car repairs arent cheap), but personally, I find it difficult to put a price on the piece of mind I get here.

I needed major repairs to my 2002 Crown Victoria. I can always go to Midas in Visalia knowing I will be treated fairly and receive the best possible service. I highly recommend this Midas location.

Michael answered the phone, made arragements to see me on Saturday and had the problem diagnosed and repaired on a weekend. I apprecaite the weekend service!

The service is always top notch and I know what to expect. Going in for an oil change, you get a 25 point inspection and it is well worth an extra few minutes to wait. If something is wrong with my car, they offer to fix it, but I never feel pressured. Best experience with Midas hands down!

Ive brought my truck in for my rear brakes squealing 3 times, each time they say dirty brakes, rims are too big, tires are too wide. This time they say I have leaking cylinders I need new drums brake pads are worn down significantly. I said put it back together you didnt see this months ago when I brought it in.,,,,,,,, REALLY NOT COOL,,,,

When engine warning lights all came on and started to randomly flash I headed to Midas. The engine died as I rolled into the parking lot. Mike quickly responded, opened the hood, assigned a mechanic to trouble shoot the problem. Within thirty minutes the diagnosis was: failed alternator and belt tensioner. The parts were in stock. Informed that the repairs would take up to three hours. Went to lunch, returned within ninety minutes the repairs were completed. I surely will return.

I got a oil change there. It was a very friendly service. I wish they would of shared the inspection results with me.No problems with the service.

Put over 20 miles on my car “test driving”. Owner dropped me off in my car at my appt 1/2 mile away and said he would test drive it on highway the way back.Came back to grab a cord from my car after 3 hours and my car was GONE. Waited 10 minutes after the guy at the counter called the owner to bring it back. Owner pulls up and the cars passenger seat is almost the whole way back. Claims he was on its 2nd test drive (actually 3rd since he drove it to drop me off) because the technician didn’t hear anything. I asked who was in the passenger seat and he said he had to “figure out who the technician was....to see if 2 techs went.” How do you not know which tech test drove the car if they told you they didn’t hear a sound?? He still hasn’t provided and answer for why my car passenger seat was set for a 400lb man. If you want your car to be used for dropping customers off, use Midas.

Dealt with Mike, the owner. Brought my company vehicle in for some ac work explained to him that I could not be down for very long, bam, I was in & out. Also honest, gave me the option of choosing a expensive connector or the el cheapo. If they see anything amiss they will let you know & ask if you want it checked out, great service for a reasonable price.

I purchased an oil change with free tire rotation at the Visalia location, Ive recently changed my oil with another company which notified me that the last place that changed the oil strip the oil plug(Witch was Midas). On top of that I just purchased new tires they notified me that all of the lug nuts on my truck are stripped. never going to Midas again.

It was awesome felt how the manager treat to what customer wants really, i was bad experience at Midas Merced for over 3 years but this Midas Visalia location better and almost perfect services.

My car ran out of gas and I coasted into the Midas parking lot, I went inside to explain what had happened and that I may be parked there for a few hours until I could scrounge up some gas money, but they had a gas can and gave me two free gallons, they couldve just gave me enough to get out of their parking lot or nothing at all, thank you Midas!

When they call you to go pick up your car pls do this!!..make sure that you take a look at every single parts that they installed make sure that they did replace it make sure that its a new one not the same ones!..I have learned from my mistakes for not double checking everything before leaving from this shop😂😂😂😂😂....

The Visalia Midas replaced my timing belt, a sensor and a few other things. The car drove home w/o a problem. We went on vacation for about a couple weeks and didnt use the car. When we got back it didnt run right it would shake violently ... I took it back and asked them to check it out. WHen I went to pick it up, the owner Mike, said they fixed it, NO CHARGE, and it is running like a champ! I took it for a test drive and they are absolutely right. That old car is running better than it has in a long time.I have been a customer there for a couple years now and I will continue to be one as long as I live in the area.

Just wasted 3 hours waiting for a diagnostic on my AC for them to tell me it only needs to be recharged and it will cost 300 dollars!! But since i refuse to pay that, i have to wait another half an hour for coolant to be drained from my system.

I was extremely disappointed in the relationship that the coworkers had with one another. The man running the front desk communicated very poorly with the technician who serviced my car, and they both treated each other with contempt... RIGHT in front of me. I could not believe it. In addition, the man working behind the desk did not give me the complete paperwork when I finished, making the two hours I waited for a complete diagnostic a complete waste of time.I have never felt as though Midass was a very honest company. Many times I have been told that something was somewhat urgent and needs to be done, when in actuality every other auto repairmen says the contrary. I will never be returning to this particular Midass, and will more than likely never visit another because of it.
