Mechanics get a bad wrap. We all have a mindset that mechanics try yo just rip you off and take your money. I started with this mechanic when he was only doing mobile repairs. He is a genuinely good honest guy who not only is your mechanic but will become your friend. He will bend over backwards to give you the best possible options for your budget. If you need him you can call him and he will be there. He has grown his business from only mobile repairs to a huge shop that can fit many cars, he can provide towing, and he can provide storage of your vehicle in his gated yard and he has decent prices. He knows cars and he can tell you what the problem usually is just with a description, over the phone. I don’t take my cars to anyone else. He works on all of our cars. Imports, American, European, he does it all. The whole staff is friendly who makes you feel welcome. He always keeps you updated on your repairs and will even show you the parts he repaired or replaced. They have a nice, comfortable, spacious waiting area. I highly recommend this business.

They were able to take me right away and got my ignition fixed in about an hour, fastest repair Ive ever had done, they got me out of a real pinch

Call to ask for a simple 5 to 10 minute fuel filter replacement. But, I called and they told me that they’re not doing any mobile services. They asked me if I could bring the car in or get it towed. But, I told them that my car won’t start and that’s why I was calling a mobile mechanic. If you do not do mobile services, you should not be listed as a mobile mechanic. Otherwise, you should have your hours set as closed when you’re not doing mobile services.This is just misleading. Why would I tow my car to the shop, when the cost to tow would probably be more then the actual work? You guys advertise that you’ll save money with your company, but suggest to tow for replacing a 2000 Honda Civic fuel filter AND I have the parts already. I don’t think the lady who answered was a mechanic, so i don’t want all the blame on them. Lastly, I hate to give a one star review to a mechanic that seems honest and reliable. But, I did not experience with this so if they have a better experience I will change my review. I’m probably better off asking door-to-door asking neighbors for help for such a quick job.

Took my vehicle in 3 weeks ago because my A/C wasnt working properly and blowing hot air. Told them it started blowing hot last year and Ive put A/C pro in and the vehicle would still blow hot air. Therefore I needed my A/C fixed. They diagnosed the vehicle and told me the car only needed to be serviced and recharged. When I picked the car up the following day it was blowing cool on the highest setting but not real cold. Over the past few weeks the cool air has been getting warmer and now its blowing hot air again. I called today(6.4.21) and they said I mustve developed a leak from the time I picked my vehicle up until now and theyll have to charge me again..SCAMMERS at its finest

I strongly recommend if possible taking your business elsewhere. This business and the people who run it are very deceptive. The owner and at least one other employee came down with Covid two months ago and without making any of the customers aware they listed their business as unavailable for a week and then returns without informing anyone of their condition. He never received the second test to confirm that he was free of Covid. And he didn’t make any of his customers aware of his condition. On top of that I have at least six people that are willing to testify to the fact that he did bad work to their cars and refused to fix it. In addition to that I have two other individuals who have been asking to pick up their cars for over a month and have been unable to do so. They have been given almost every excuse in the book. I’ve already reported this business to the Better Business Bureau in this area. And I felt like I would at least try to make the public aware of the dangers of this business. He also often employees homeless people that live around his business. This leads to a very unsafe parking lot situation as well. I am myself when I tow truck business in Tulare. From what I can tell his business makes most of their money off of insurance and personal jobs. Which makes me think that their lack of ability to cater to a customers needs directly reflective on them stretching themselves to thin. If you want to have your car fixed and pay four times the price to fix it this is a great place to go. Otherwise I would strongly recommend you take your car to any of the mechanics in the area nearby.

James gets a zero from us .Went in for transmission leak paid $500 plus 100 to inspect . Took the car home and it still leaked .Called and told them it never stop leaking they said bring it in. And you can pay us another 100 to inspect it. NO WAY. less than 30 days would not RECOMEND THEM!

So.. I called James Mobile Mechanic thinking I knew exactly what was wrong with my car (previous mechanic didnt reinstall my crankshaft pulley correctly) They got me in the same day I called for a diagnosis. Of course just like when you take your sick kid to the Dr. and when you get there they are fine, my car wasnt making the noise I was taking it in for. But the mechanic somewhat agreed with my diagnosis and told me it would cost me $80 diagnosis and $100per hour to take it apart and confirm the issue.. So 4 hrs later the tech calls me with good and bad news..couldnt find ANYTHING WRONG WITH MY CAR..but i was still going to have to pay for the tear down and put back together of my car..to be discounted to $200.. Okay I can accept that. Then 15 min later i am called back that the problem was found.. 2 Stripped bolts holding the fan shroud.. So I am now the proud owner of two $100 each zip ties..The day of and now a week later I have found a way to laugh it off and am very pleased with the manner in which the tech and the rest of the staff were able to make that expense not such a bitter pill to swallow.The entire staff from the office to each tech that I had interaction with were very professional and extremely polite and as accommodating as they could possibly be.I will definitely be calling them for any future repair work I may need and ALL ZIP TIE NEEDS...

He’s the only person I will let even touch my diesel beside myself. I was always helping people and never getting anything in return when I needed help. He looked at me and said don’t worry bro I got you. He has yet to fail when it has come to helping me out when something goes wrong. I trust that when I get it back from him it’s better than it was before and I don’t have to worry about that part again. Straight up good guy and a master at what he does.

Charged me to fix an oil leak but never fixed it I had them come back out a few times but it never got fixed and they never gave my money back I paid for repairs also didnt give me a reciept

Not only are they so friendly and polite, they are informative, reasonably priced, they provide excellent quality work and utilize their time wisely! I never go anywhere and they’re always the first company I call when I need service. My car is my life line, I’m a single mom of 4 little ones and I travel for work often and I wouldn’t trust my car with anyone else.

Responded within 10-15 minutes. Even though they were very busy James still took time out to come and repair my car. He was very knowledgeable and had my car running very quickly. This guy knows what hes doing and has excellent customer service. Would definitely recommend.

I pulled into his place of business because I had some concerns with my vehicle, three of the mechanics rush out to see what the issue could be, they tighten up a hose on that came loose on the spot, and I was on my way. Thanks for not lying to me cause when I always have car trouble I think the worst with a expensive bill. Not the case here

If you can’t fix the problem at least let them know instead of leaving them hanging. Good customer service is one of the most important part of a business even you don’t know what your doing or can’t fix it. I would respect you more by telling me you can’t fix it rather you ignore me.

He is the best! Professional, Smart, Quick, Honest! All around great customer service and positive attitude. I had taken my vehicle to several mechanics and no one could figure out the problem! He knew what the problem was as soon as I turned on my car!! There was crew of 2. The main mechanic and an assistant/helper/mechanic. These guys were amazing! I brought my car in knowing full well there was a chance I would end up paying an arm and a leg to get the AC running. Not only did they get it running, but they waived the diagnostic, something I loathe entirely. IMO diagnostics should be a thing of the past, but I understand that sometimes it is necessarry. We (family of 6) were on our way back home to Northern CA from a Southern CA vacation and broke down in Visalia. Im so grateful that we stumbled on James Mobile Auto repair- he went above and beyond in every way. The parts store couldnt have our part until the next morning, so he called a friend @ Enterprise to get us a rental and stayed until we figured it out (he even offered us his personal vehicle for the night!). *On another note, a different James from Freedom towing came to tow our vehicle and would not leave me and our kids until my husband came back w/rental car even though I insisted we were fine* Overall, James was just a real, honest, good guy who did all he could to help a family in need and we would recommend him to anyone and would absolutely use him for car maintenance if we lived in the area.

They left the cover of my battery over the core engine i didnt realize til i opened my hood luckily i did the same day later on and seen the plastic cover a bit melted... They didnt look when they closed my hood apparently, then no receipt made up prices, overpriced, then they say it might fail again... Left a mess and covers loose under dash... Go elsewhere for your mechanics

Im going to make it real simple for everyone. James mobile repair is the best mechanic on wheels. I had him take over a job nobody would take. He came over and finished a motor install not any motor but a 454 and not only did he finish putting it back together but installed in a timely manner. after that James is the only mechanic I use and recommend not to mention his rock bottom prices so bottom line is try James and see for yourself.

I recommend James Mobile Auto Repair to all of my friends and family. He keeps my 21 year old car running good, and at less than half what the garages estimate. I love that he works right in my driveway, so is most convenient. .

DO NOT USE THEM!! Unprofessional. Called them out to work on my vehicle and when they came was told they would work on it the next day because the mechanic missed his wife. Then took the vehicle to the shop and they changed parts that didnt even need replacing. Because I requested it. I requested they fix the problem with the vehicle. They called when vehicle was ready but it still had same problem. Was told to take vehicle home and drive it around and that would fix problem. Silly me for paying $400 dollars to them to drive vehicle around myself. I took the vehicle back and was told it was the computers fault. I disagreed and they had the nerve to give me attitude because I knew they didnt know what the hell they were doing. I took the vehicle to the dealer (what I shouldve done in the first place) and problem was fixed immediately for $60!!! James is rude and unprofessional for a business owner but I guess its partially my fault for looking on Craigslist for a cheap mechanic. I wish I could give -1 stars. DO NOT USE THEM!! $400 FOR NOTHING!! SMH I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER call or recommend them to anyone EVER! My daughters timing belt broke and messed up the engine. James got the whole thing fixed right in front of my house. No need to tow to a shop. Price was extremely reasonable. I felt like he was being more than fair on the price Car runs like a top now. Runs like a new car. Owner talks to you straight and doesnt talk down to you or treat you like an idiot. Heard about James through my brother in law. Got ahold of him, talked about getting a quote for some services and kept his word on the price we discussed. I had bought a new tranny for my grand prix, he came over was straight forward, told me exactly what he was going to do, how long it was going to take, and he got it done. He actually finished ahead of schedule. Deffinatley recommend james to anyone.
