Tommy was wonderful!!! He was so helpful with making our daughters first build a bear and helping my mother in law decide on what she wanted (even though she said she didnt want anything 🤣)!! We appreciate your assistance!!

My sisters, nieces and nephews always have a great time visiting this location. The employees are very friendly and helpful.

Directions was simple and clear. Staff was friendly. Loved the experience of preparing my fury friend for my God daughter.

Honestly one of the best places we visited. The girl that works there was the highlight of the store. She was absolutely amazing! My daughter talked about her for hours after we had left the store. I would 100% suggest taking your child to this location, you will not be disappointed.

Build-A-Bear Workshop always and consistently deliver top notch customer service, good selection of inventory, clean store, and following COVID regulations. This Build-A-Bear is perfect and centrally located inside Lynnhaven Mall. They manage the capacity and flow of their store very well as it is not a big store. They ensure everyone is practicing social distancing with markings on the floor and staff members building you through the store. They have a huge selection of stuffed animals and accessories of all kind. Its hard for adults not to get giddy in the store along with kids. They are staffed well. The staff really get into character with how the stuff the animals and packaging the stuffed animals with care. My kids always have such a wonderful experience in this store.

The staff at this location are energetic and very attentive. My daughter dragged me in here and I know my pockets where about to take some punishment but all in all it was worth it! I do enjoy coming here and most parents and kids will enjoy coming here as well. Another visit in the future is inevitable.

Taking our daughter to Build a Bear for her birthday was a great decision. We are new to the area, so we don’t have friends to help us celebrate. But we figured making a stuffed animal for her to commemorate this great day would be a good way to go. This store looked so cool from the outside and was very neat inside. We were greeted right away when we entered and were asked what we were celebrating. They gave my daughter a sticker and wrote her name on a board so everyone knew it was her birthday. And even though it was busy, we still got the attention we needed as first timers to know what we needed to do. The store does seem a little cramped if you were to try and navigate a stroller or a wheelchair in there, but other than that, we loved how colorful and musical it was. 😊 Definitely recommend. 👍

Good family experience but like most things geared towards kids,, its pricey. Staff were friendly, helpful and engaging except for the cashier. There was a bit of a line because only 15 people are allowed in at a time but we made it in and out fairly quickly. I dont know what it costs to buy accessories but the cha-ching options are endless. In the end I bought a bear and a backpack to carry it, no frills and I spent $38 however my grand baby and I had a bonding experience that is priceless. The stars are for the experience

COVID restrictions taken to an extreme level. After waiting ten minutes to get in to the store you then have to wait another 20-30 minutes to have the bear filled. There are plenty of workers but they find it more convenient to hangout behind the one register that is open because although the registers are six feet apart they close one to keep us safe....is it really keeping you safe or just not wanting to do anything???? Hmmmmm

Today my boyfriend and I came in on vacation because it’s one of the things we do each trip we go. The store was very neat and clean and followed safety precautions better than most stores and people right now. The cherry on top of this visit was the wonderful associate Tommy. This person went above and beyond and was the MOST friendly. They did this cute little motion with the heart that we’ve NEVER done anywhere else so if that was a Tommy thing you guys should learn something from this associate!! 10/10 trip would definitely come again! Thank you BAB and especially, thank you Tommy!!!!

Took my daughter here for the time here Virginia Beach. She really enjoyed it. Only issue is the long wait in line for a hour.

This place is ridiculous. We came here with our four kids hoping to treat them at build a bear. We were not able enter the store due to restriction of movement barrier. Very few stores still utilize this. There were no other customers in the store There is nothing more disheartening then a company that wants to keep its customers out of the store.

It is a fun experience. I have avoided it for 14 years because I heard it was crazy expensive....it was not as bad as expected. Where they get you is the instertable sounds, the heartbeat, the instertable smells.....

This is tough. Before COVID this is a 5 star. During this is a 1 star. Not their fault. Just what makes build a bear fun is where it fails during covid. When this pandemic is done, go there even if your not a kid. Its a fun place.

Tommy helped me. He was very knowledgeable about which items would work best with a particular build-a-bear. He had my item filled, dressed and ready for purchase in no time. Also while helping me he was able to assist other customers as well. Excellent customer service and knowledgeable about the product.

Giving 2 stars cause the male door greeter today was absolutely wonderful/lovely. The ladies were rude. I felt my son (which with them not paying attention to us and they majorly misspelled his name) and I were ignored because it was just the 2 of us.It seemed the people in larger groups got their needs met first, even though we were waiting before them for someone to attend to us, which took several minutes. Wouldnt go back to this one.

Atrocious Pay Your Age Day event. Way to not plan accordingly and anticipate the mass turnout. Not to mention screwing my day waiting in line only to deal with a crying child because she couldnt get a bear when they literally cut the line off.

We love this place and they are doing everything to keep everyone safe due to Covid

The merchandise is wonderful and the kids love it. It’s true it’s very pricey but that is no surprise. Alexis was the employee we had today and she was very rude. She was rude to my child and I told her to shrug it off, and then she scolded me while I was fixing my mask about wearing my mask (that was very clearly in my face but I was pulling my hair from around my ears and the loops due to it pulling them). It was very uncomfortable because my children even noticed it and was taken aback by someone scolding their mother. While looking for items, my daughter asked me why she talked to me like that and it seems so angry at everyone. Towards the end, just staring over at us the entire time with an angry face and making us uncomfortable but not like ever offering help. It was just weird.

Friendly employees, always ready and willing to help! Better selection here than at the Outlet store in Williamsburg, in my opinion, anyway.B-a-B picked a great location here and were taking full advantage!

$$$ about $80 for 2. Pretty steep when comparing online prices but the people were cool.

My daughter had a blast and the employees were super patient with her changing her mind a dozen times. They were also super accommodating with us giving the bear her last pacifier. Well worth the time!

I wanted to buy a stuffed bear for my mom with a voice box of my grandma who sadly passed away a year prior. Surprisingly the hardest part was finding the recording because once we found it, we mailed to the store and 7 days later the bear came. The voice box was very high quality and as soon as I heard it both me and my mom started crying. She loved the gift and I will continue to be apart of the Build-A-Bear Family.

I loved taking my son there for the first time today at the Pay Your Age Day event! I have my own Build-A-Bears today I got him a bear of his own. Not to mention for a sweet deal! I got there really early, 7:40am & there was a line. Around 30 people ahead of me. By 10 I was in the store. When I left the line was outside and wrapped around the mall. I don’t know why people didn’t arrive earlier for something they felt was worth standing in line for. I prepared accordingly and left happy. Thank you Build-A-Bear! Also, customer service was Great at Lynnhaven Mall in Virginia Beach, VA!

In and out in 10 minutes

Its fun but really tight in there. People are walking all over each other. I feel like more people should be working the stuffing. It takes way too long when there is one person working that station. Left with nothing because my 3 yr old was over it after waiting for about 25 minutes in line. But they have really cute stuffies.

They were extremely helpful in fulfilling my needs.

The staff was amazing. I haven’t been to one in years. So I decided to take my daughter. She got a chewy bear. It was crazy because their was a birthday, but that was expected it’s build a bear. I will definitely return when I feel like my daughter needs more stuff animals. Haha

As always wonderful experience... My son and I went i before seeing Captain Marvel... We got the Captain Marvel bear... They were so kind even though we came in right at close but they remained patient... I do love build a bear in general... My son literally has 50 or more BABs

Such a great experience for the kiddos! Especially for a birthday. They make it so special for the kids and announce their birthday and the whole store shouts Happy Birthday! Loved how caring the associates were for this special trip!

99.99% love it. Most of the people there I know there and can talk to about anything. However this is one few times Im not happy. Last year didnt get the pay your age because of the turn out. This year wont get the pay your age because the new girl behind the counter couldnt be that bothered to help me log on to my account. Having problems logging on to my account and told the girl that. So logged in creating two new accounts and still having no luck logging in. So if she couldnt help why not try to find someone who could or call tech support. This just seems like a big company problem.

Took my daughter for her Birthday, it was our first time ever at Build-a-Bear and it was an awesome experience. The employees were all very accomodating and friendly, I never had to find help and my daughter felt very welcomed and special. Will definitley be back.

My children have enjoyed their experiences here. They love the babies they made. I will say Ive had to curtail the spending because they want so many accessories.I wish the store itself was bigger, though. You tend to feel cramped if there are lots of other shoppers.

Main issue was had a 40% coupon but worker refused it saying was not good for another few days. I HAD CHECKED THE DATESI had my great grandson with me and hed made his bear. I was not going to argue or leave the bear. I have bought about 25 bears from the same store over the years averaging $60 per bear and this was the first time I was TOTALLY DISSATISFIED! There was no other worker or manager on site and I excused the service thinking she was overwhelmed. There was no certificate, no registering the bear for return if lost. She just did not seem to careThe 4 year old did not notice, I didI will think twice before going back

We went to get a bear for my nieces birthday and saw that there was a 2 for 35 deal going on so naturally we picked out two bears that were labeled accordingly. When we got to the counter to pay one of the sales ladies was very rude and went and moved the price tags around in front of us and wouldnt give us the sales price. I would have given a worse review, but the lady that stuffed the bears for us and did the ceremony with my niece was very kind and energetic.

Lots of fun for my 3 year old. The staff was very friendly, and there are a lot of options for animals to stuff, and a ton of accessories. It makes a nice thing you can give your kid, that they can then earn add ons for over time with chores etc...

Its all a scam with a clever hook of making your own bear . There isnt quality, the selection was small, and its crowded for some reason. Save your money and just buy one somewhere else. The nuance is not worth it

Had a great time with my kids getting my son 6th birthday gift. Our first time was awesome and loved the staff.

I drove 30 minutes to go here because customer support told me they could replace the battery in my bear... well they didnt even try they advised it would be sent to the bear hospital for possible repair ... this recording is simply unreplaceable and its like they didnt event care... the store staff were very pleasant they just didnt really seem interested in fixing my baby
