I have been acquainted with Pete and Debbie Nunez, for over 25+ years. My association began through my now deceased Mother-In-Law who was a Lapidarist for 45+ years in Northern Virginia. I was wonderfully surprised with how fantastic this jewelry store was! I cannot say enough good things about the people who work here and their amazing customer service and quality. I had a horrible experience at another local jewelry store and I was convinced that all jewelry stores treat their customers that rudely. However, the staff here made me feel so welcomed and treated me so wonderfully. They were able to do all the work I needed done on my new engagement ring in just two hours! I even was able to meet the jeweler himself and saw that he did all the repairs in the back of the store. Their pricing was extremely fair and I trusted them with an important piece of jewelry. Keep getting postcards from this place and it brings up an awful time. I brought my engagement ring in to get reset at the end of 2007. I wanted Oscar D. to do it since he was a family friend from my childhood, but he wasn’t there. Just some elderly man in the back. The owners complimented my diamond (which was very “sparkly”, just a brilliant 1/2 carat!! Sadly, the one I got back was very dull- not the same diamond at all, and I looked at it every day for over 20 years. The owners tried to tell me it was cracked when they reset it and it was the same diamond. Several jewelers told me it was a low quality diamond with many defects. I called the police but just had a receipt no appraisal. Lesson learned. Too bad I did not have it appraised in 1990 after my husband proposed. I still feel sick about it. Got a new ring in 2008 a few months after this unfortunate incident but it’s not the same. Never will be. I still miss my diamond.I read the response from the owner regarding my review. I DID tell them there was a problem 12 years ago twice, and they told me they must have cracked it when resetting it and it was the same diamond. I believe it was not the same diamond and should have been replaced for no charge. I’ll never trust this place with my jewelry ever again.

I have used Nunez Jewelers for several years now. They have been so kind and helpful with everything from purchasing new jewelry to repairing old jewelry. They recently remounted an old ring I have had for years and made it into a beautiful piece of art. I have recommended several of my friends to use them and everyone was very pleased with their work. My wife and I absolutely love the service and quality of work Mr. Nunez and his business provide each and every time! My wife had lost a small diamond on her engagement/wedding band and the rings had shifted where they were soldered together. Mr. Nunez expertly cleaned, polished and replaced the diamond while also adjusting the bands back to their original state. The workmanship was exceptional making them look as if they had never been worn!!! We will always go back for any of our jewelry needs in the future, they have never let us down.

I took my pendant to them that got ruined in a fight I tried to break up. No other jewelers would even attempt to try to fix it. I was told how much do you really like your pendant cause its not gonna be cheap to fix. The last jeweler I tried to take it to actually told me to take it to Nunez Fine Jewelry. He said that he does great work and also had the right tools/machine to do the job. I am so glad I did. I figured that if another jeweler talks pretty highly of another jeweler he must be good. My pendant was twisted up and had 30 cracks through out the cross. When got it back I couldnt believe that it looks almost just as good as the day I bought it 13 years ago. I only say almost because of the small blemishes that I can see from the welding of the 30 or so cracks . But honestly you wouldnt even notice unless I told you to look really close. Overall I am very satisfied with the work and service that I received from Mr.Nunez. I would absolutely recommend him for the smallest to the biggest repairs for your jewelry. Thanks once again, I will definitely be back.

I needed a ring repaired. After taking it to a jeweler who messed it and one who kept it for 3 days before saying he couldnt fix it I took it to Nunez Fine Jewelers. They were incredible friendly and knowledgeable. I was assured fixing my ring would not be a problem. 2 days later I received a call that my ring was ready for pick up. I picked it up this morning and was amazed at the quality and beauty of the work. I was also told to enjoy my ring but be careful with it because he could tell it was old and is starting to wear out! I totally appreciate the information and honesty. I will always take my jewelry here from now on and send my husband I there to shop!

Nunez Fine Jewelers is absolutely the best for all your jewelry needs. We brought a wedding band, engagement ring and anniversary ring in for resizing. The rings also needed prong work done. Owner Pete Nunez suggested we have all three rings soldered together. He did an excellent job in resizing them all and adding a spring bar so the rings go smoothly over the knuckle, stay put and fit comfortably. All work was done on the premises, reasonably priced and finished ahead of the promised time. The owner and staff are very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. We are extremely pleased with the outcome. Thank you!

I came here to have my engagement ring and wedding band sized (from about an 8 to a 4) and eventually fused together. They sized my engagement ring correctly, but sized my band almost half a size too big, and told me it was needed in order to have them fused together. Of course, I went along with it because they were the professionals, after all! When I finally did get the rings fused together, and got them back, I noticed they didnt line up anywhere around the ring. After I showed my husband, he said you definitely need to take it back and get it fixed. So I went back a week later, and expressed my concerns, in a polite way. I didnt come in, guns blazing, demanding to speak to the owner. But, I felt like I was treated as if I did. I felt I was spoken to as if I had three heads, and like I shouldve known why it looked the way it did, saying that it was because I had it sized so small (which I cant help!) and because it was just a generic ring and wasnt custom. I kept my thoughts to myself, and left extremely disappointed. I had spent a good chunk of change with them (they are definitely on the expensive side) and I was happy with them, up until that last experience, hence my rating. Thankfully, I found another jeweler that was able to fix what they deemed was just how it is.

I would defiantly recommend anyone I know that is in need of any work done to their jewelery here!My fiancee bought a engagement ring that was far too big to stay put on my finger. I got it sized down to the proper size and an appraisal. They did a wonderful job of sizing it down! The appraisal was well done too and went over the papers with us in the store.They give very fair pricing! I loved the speedy turn around of my rings being ready the next day, as well as knowing that the rings never leave the site. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They were so good I brought in a friend a few weeks later to have who needed to her jewelry worked on.

Nunez Fine Jewelers cleaned and repaired my great grandfather’s antique cufflinks. They look brand new and unrecognizable from when they were passed down. Fantastic work and an incredibly quick turnaround. I’m definitely going back!

I recently had my engagement ring and bands (a discontinued set) sized down 2 sizes after almost every other jeweler told me it couldn’t happen with the stones being attached to microprongs and down the shank. Pete looked at my ring and said he could do it but it would slightly make my ring oval and he had to tighten the prongs to ensure the stones didn’t fall out. 2 Days later I received my rings and OMG the fit perfectly and my bands lock in place just right... oh yeah that oval shape that he mentioned is not even noticeable. Pete Thanks for the amazing work and getting my set sized! We will definitely be future customers!

Scratched the back of a new watch from edge to edge. Supposed to polish off stamp as part of engraving claimed the back doesnt fit right and they cant do anything. It got on there somehow and it looked immaculately perfect before. Would never use again nor recommend anyone to trust them with your jewelry, especially when its a gift for a major occasion. Looking for a jeweler that knows what theyre doing to fix this mess now.

This jeweler is fantastic! They made my wedding ring 5 years ago and unfortunately, with age, my knuckle has swollen. I could barely get my ring on or off easily anymore. I finally decided it was time to get the ring resized. I put it off because I figured Id have to have it made much bigger and wear some ugly plastic sizer inside to keep it from spinning around. Nope! Pete resized it and added a fantastic spring attachment made out of the same white gold. It slipped past my knuckle and then sprung tight around my finger to hold it in place. I am thrilled!!! It is completely invisible and comfortable again!

I would not go anywhere else for fine jewelry! My original bridal set was purchased from a large chain and the rings caused irritation and rash so badly that I could not wear them. I took them back to the retailer who claimed it was usual for customers to get rashes and they just had to re-plate the rings. Sadly, they sent them out un-securely and my rings were stolen during shipment. During the three aggravating months it took for the chain store to resolve the issue, Nunez Jewelers helped me out all along the way. The advice, encouragement, and friendly small business manner helped me through everything. I settled for a loose diamond with the large chain, Pete did an amazing job setting my diamond! Even better, I had the setting the next day because work is performed onsite. A year later, my finger is still rash free, and I have a new one stop shop for jewelry shopping!
