The wonderful women at Silk made the wedding dress process so fun and easy! They are very knowledgeable about the various styles and fashions and know their inventory like the back of their hand. I loved the fact that I was able to walk away from the story with the dress in hand and not have to wait to have it made and shipped. They also offer complimentary steaming services before your wedding and it was so easy to just drop off and pick up ahead of the wedding. And they have a good selection of accessories, etc. which was perfect for trying on when you’re actually dress shopping to get a sense of what you actually want. Definitely recommend Silk to any bride out there!

I don’t review, so this is saying a lot. I wasn’t even excited about dress shopping. I visited one place before Silk and they limited what I could try on, they were not the friendliest and rushed us out when we still had a half hour left. Needless to say, I wasn’t looking forward to continuing this journey. My sister in law found her dress at silk and couldn’t have been more excited about the place, so much that her best friend also found her dress here. Silk is a mother daughter run business and they LOVE to help you find your perfect dress. They are involved, excited and just all around a joy to work with. I tried on as many dresses as I could fit in my allotted time. (They give you 2 hours which is more than most places I researched) The best part? I got to leave with my dress that day!

Amy absolutely exceeded my expectations for dress shopping. I anticipated it being stressful, however it was so much fun and she did a wonderful job of selecting a variety of gowns. Being plus sized I was concerned, however there was plenty of selection and I felt beautiful the entire time. Of course the best part is I said yes to an amazing dress for an amazing price!!

Silk Bridal Studio made shopping for my dress so easy! Lauren helped me Frankenstein together my perfect dress, based of two that I really loved. I recommend going early in your planning process for a custom dress, but their selection of sample dresses are all lovely, too. Truth be told, I had an appointment scheduled for another bridal salon later in the day, but canceled since Silk Bridal Studio made it SO easy to say yes to the dress.

This would the second dress store that I went in and they were amazing from the moment I walked in!! I called to schedule a last minute appointment and they were so accommodating! My name was on the sign out front and they let me try on all the dresses I wanted with absolutely no pressure to buy if I didn’t like them! They cared about you feeling good and comfortable in a dress that I truly loved!! I’m so glad that I found my perfect dress at this store!!If you’re looking for a dress store, definitely try them!! I’ve have the unique experience of both working in the wedding industry and accompanying several bride friends at different points throughout the last few years as they’ve come to hunt for their bridal gowns in Hampton Roads. Hands down, the staff at Silk are some of the most down-to-earth, helpful, genuine people I have ever worked with. Often at bridal studios, there is this air of superiority and judgement that is honestly and truly just a shame. This couldn’t be further from the truth at Silk. I made an appt for my friend here to try on some dresses for her upcoming wedding. Firstly, we all loved the attention that was catered to her and the mother - daughter duo that runs this place are so sweet and wonderful. The dress selection is great. Amy and Hayley were fantastic to work with to find my perfect cathedral veil. I ended up buying my earrings and necklace too! If you are looking for a simple modern veil at a price at a fraction of the typical cost, this is the dream place to go! They have such a good selection of bridal wear that satisfied a picky bride. They helped me with any questions, were super attentive to my needs, and gave me suggestions that I never would have thought about myself. The girls there are super knowledgeable and genuinely want to help their clients, not just make a profit. They made a pandemic bride feel like I was actually bridal, feel reassured, and like it was a special time!

I cannot recommend Silk Bridal Studio enough. When they put their stock online during the COVID-19 pandemic, I saw a beautiful dress unlike any other for an amazing price, and I knew almost right away that it was the one for me. They offered virtual appointments and I decided to take advantage of that. Evie picked out a few dresses based on what I said I liked and showed them to me on the mannequin. In the end, I decided on that first dress I saw on their website. For the bride who is budget-conscious and/or have a tight timeline, please do yourself a favor and book an appointment at Silk. You won’t regret your decision!

Even if I didn’t buy by dress here, I would give them 5 stars! The dresses are kept in bags and nice and clean. The boutique was very clean, hardwood floors, clean new chairs and couches, and felt glamorous. The selection for my size was a little small but I still tried on 5 or 6 dresses! The staff is patient and so sweet. After picking my dress they served us a glass of champagne and even filled a flute with water for my niece. We also drove from an hour away to go to this shop, it was worth it!!

There aren’t enough words to explain how wonderful my experience was at Silk. From the moment i got there i was treated like royalty. Silk bridal is definitely the best bridal boutique in Virginia Beach. Let me begin with how beautiful the boutique is and how professional it was to see my name on the chalkboard outside. This made me smile. Lauren was my stylist for my wedding dress fitting and she went above my expectations. Evie and Amy were also there to assist and they were simply amazing throughout the process and they even helped me find a seamstress for my wedding dress.. It is extremely important to feel relaxed and comfortable during a life event and I will always remember the phenomenal job these ladies did for me as a customer. Thank you. Would definitely recommend this boutique to future brides.

All three ladies were very helpful. The dressing rooms are nice and large. I found a sample sale dress for a very reasonable price. The selection of plus size dresses was a pleasant surprise. I emailed the store prior to making an appointment and I received a prompt response. I would definitely recommend checking them out if you are wedding dress shopping. Very personal service that makes you feel special.

Amy was so patient and sweet in helping me pick out the perfect wedding dress. I went in with absolutely no idea of what I wanted in a dress. She let me take my time and try on as many dresses as I wanted until I found the perfect one. I am completely in love with my dress and wish I could put it on every day. It’s a cute salon! They had somewhat of a limited selection. Multiple dresses I tried on had minor rips or stains on them. The consultant offered to try and remove the stains, but I was hesitant to buy such an expensive dress in that condition. The consultant was nice but pushy trying to get us to buy a certain dress. It made the experience feel less genuine and more like a sales pitch. I didn’t end up purchasing my dress at this salon.

I had the BEST experience at Silk Bridal Studio! I highly recommend them to any bride looking for the perfect gown. Upon booking my appointment online, silk contacted me to find out my wedding date, dress size, budget, and style preferences. When my girlfriends and I arrived at Silk my dress consultant had about 7 dresses in my size waiting for me. I was NEVER pressured to get anything out of my price range and the staff made the experience so fun for my group, The dresses I tried on were fantastic quality and truly gorgeous (especially for the price). My dress consultant gently urged me to try on a gown that I knew I wouldnt like, however; upon seeing myself in the mirror with it on I was so happy she made me step out of my comfort zone. The gown was perfect and I purchased it that day. Silk also helped me pair my perfect dress with the perfect veil! To celebrate my bridesmaids and I shared champagne and took lots of fun pictures. 10/10 experience for me! Thank you for helping me find the dress of my dreams!

I cant recommend Silk enough! The boutique was clean and very well decorated! Amy and Evie were everything a bride wants in sales attendants - patient, honest, and genuine! This was the first day spent dress shopping with limited knowledge of what I wanted and I left with THE dress! Another plus - we celebrated by popping some champagne and taking plenty of pictures!

Silk Bridal and their staff are amazing! I *highly* recommend going here! They were very helpful, accommodating, and went the extra mile for providing excellent customer service. Compared to the other bridal stores I went to in the area, Silk Bridal is top notch! They had a welcome sign with my name on it, champagne after I purchased my dress, and even a thank you note sent to my home afterwards. Also, they display their dresses in bags, which is so much better than the other stores I went to. At other sample sale stores, I noticed the beaded dresses without bags would get snagged on the lace and other material of adjacent hanging dresses. Silk Bridal clearly takes pride in their services and pays attention to the details. You will be very well taken care of here!

This place was FANTASTIC. The dresses are quality, and the service exceptional. They have a good selection of gowns, arranged by size and price. I went to several places in the Hampton Roads area and kept coming to the dress, and my experience, at Silk. Tina asked me the right questions about my wedding and my price range to help me find the perfect dress, and was very up front with me- there was an appointment later that day who was also my size. I went to other appointments that day and she kept me updated on the dress I had my eye on. I went with the dress at silk, $800 off the original price and it fits perfectly. I couldnt be happier! It was such a good experience, beginning to end, and it took the stress off dress shopping, a huge relief when I went into the shop and realized Tina was there to help me find the best fit for me. Amy & Evie were amazing! I am so glad I reached out to them. I had already purchased my dress but had not even thought about accessories. I scheduled an appointment and was greeted with open arms. Silk Bridal has a wide selection of veils and headpieces that are stunning and wont break the bank! Evie took excellent care of my needs and knew exactly which style veil and headpiece to pull. I walked away with those on the same day and could not be more appreciative of their time and guidance. Wedding dress shopping can be overwhelming, but my Silk Representative, Amy, played a critical role in guiding me through this process. I chose Silk as my first store because of its attractive price points, designer dress selection, and promise of high quality. I came in at an exciting time for Silk’s inventory. I browsed their selection of sample dresses, married dresses, and dresses featured in runway shows. I started out trying on six dresses in their exquisite dressing rooms. Amy (and her teammate, Tina) gave me the personal attention that I was looking for. They took the time to find out my preferences and accessorize what I was trying on according to my needs.. I told them that I left room for inspiration from my MIL and her best friend, but Amy picked some dresses that fit the description of what I was seeking too! I’m elated that she did. I tried on the first dress and fell in LOVE. I tried on the other 5 just to confirm my suspicions. I left the shop, still in love with that first dress I tried on and had lunch with my MIL. After lunch, I went to another bridal retailer to check out dresses by the same designer of my beloved dress. I tried two or three on, but I was less than impressed with the service from the other retailer. I went back to Silk immediately and purchased my beloved dress. I highly recommend Silk, especially if you can book an appointment with either Amy or Tina! I can’t wait to share pictures from my wedding.

Evie was my consultant and she made me feel like I was a friend that she was helping shop. The salon was quiet and clean. I have been to other bridal stores and the noise in those stores is overwhelming and I cant hear myself think! The dresses are beautiful and both Evie and Amy seemed to genuinely want me and my guest to feel comfortable throughout the experience. I would 100% recommend Silk Bridal Studio to everyone!

I bought my wedding dress here, and had a wonderful experience. The selection is smaller than some of the other boutiques that I went too, but there was a wide range of dress styles to choose from. The owner of the shop gave me a 10% military discount, and even took the cost of the cancellation fee for my next bridal appointment off the total cost of the dress! We even got some champagne to sip on as we reveled in the fact that I found THE dress :)

If you want your dress sold super fast then take it here. I wanted to sell my wedding dress that I had taken great care of. They held it at their consignment to sell. It sold in 2 weeks. Make sure 100% that you want to sell your dress. I was on the fence but had to go out of town for a couple weeks and it was sold before I got back.

I said yes to the dress at Silk! The experience I had here was everything I could have wanted when trying on bridal gowns. I had a limited budget, but wanted something of a better quality than most places in my price range could offer. Not only is Silk a consignment store, but they also get gowns straight from designers after their shows. Beverly, my consultant, pulled a dress that I would never have picked that came straight from the runway. It fit perfectly and looked better than I ever imagined! I bought my wedding dress from Silk on Saturday. It is absolutely gorgeous, and it fit perfectly within my budget. Beverly was extremely helpful but did not pressure me to make a purchase. I had looked at the dress a week before, but I still had other places to look that weekend, so I did not want to make a purchase before checking out the other shops.You do have to have an appointment to try dresses on, but I think that makes the experience better because you dont have to wait around while they help other customers. By some miracle, there was a last minute cancellation. Amy was so gracious and helpful when I came in. She welcomed my mom and MOH into the store and was so considerate! I had been to a couple of bridal shops already in the area and all of them were the same price range; too high. There seemed to be no shops that had decent prices except Davids Bridal which I felt was slightly cheap feeling. At first I came in thinking I would never find the perfect dress here, but I found my dress quickly and easily. They had a couple of options in my size and I just so happened to find a beautiful Alfred Angelo, $1,400 dress for $600, fit me perfectly and no need for any alterations. This made me really happy because other dress shops were trying to sell me all these alterations on top of a $1,000 or more dress. My consultant was very nice and helpful and I am glad I got my dress here, brand new, never worn, and so beautiful!!

I had a wonderful time saying yes to the dress this morning at Silk! The atmosphere was fantastic and my consultant was great at helping me choose my dress. I loved that I was able to have one on one attention from my consultant! My maid of honor (who lives out of town) came with me & said she would be willing to come to VA Beach to shop at Silk if she gets married in the future!

Let me start out by saying I have NEVER enjoyed shopping. I came into Silk yesterday with my mom, dad, Maid of Honor, and one of my bridesmaids. We were welcomed warmly and enthusiastically upon entering. Amy, who is also the manager, ran my appointment. She seemed genuinely excited for me, my family, and my big day. She explained where everything was after listening to what I think I would like and then stepped back and let me find my first three gowns that I wanted to try. From those, she immediately understood my style and what I was looking for and effortlessly pulled gorgeous gowns. Believe it or not, the first dress I had picked out was the one. I tried on a total of 7 beautiful gowns but couldnt get that one out of my head. Amy was patient and seemed just as excited as the initial time to help me put the one back on every time I wanted to see it. I loved my experience here and found the dress of my dreams, brand new! Not to mention saved a TON of money. My bridesmaid actually made an appointment for her upcoming wedding on the way out! It really is the best of both worlds. I strongly and happily recommend Silk to any and every bride!

The ladies at Silk were very knowledgeable and were able to suggest dresses that suited Laurens personality and figure as well as accessories for the gown. This is like, the hidden gem of bridal boutiques. I came here after a terrible experience at all the rage and fell in love with this shop. Owned and operated by mom and daughter my mom and I felt right at home! Each dress was stunning and I walked right out with my dream dress at the end of the session! I just bought my wedding gown yesterday from Silk and could not be more happier! Beverly and Tina really do enjoy their jobs and are happy to please their customers! I drive by Silk on a regular basis and was experiencing some emotions about spending a large chunk of money on a dress that you wear one time. My wedding budget is getting eaten up by the guests and the reception! :) I went to a couple of other bridal shows, but felt very disgusted with the way I was talked to. With Silk, I did not feel pressurized to buy anything. I did not need an appointment. I was able to take pictures in any of the dresses I would try on (Most stores this is a huge no no). My maid of honor couldnt be with us to try on dresses so it was awesome to send the photos to her. The store does ask you when you first come in on what kind of price range you would like to spend. I think this is fair and that is what the store on Say Yes to the Dress does as well. Silk simply does not want the bride to fall in love with a dress that is not at a comfortable price they are willingly to spend. I would recommend every bride to check this place out.

LOVED my dress!!! Everybody at my wedding and on facebook complimented it. You really cant beat the value and selection there. All of the dresses I tried on were high quality, especially since I really wanted lace and had just come from a place (no names) where you could tell the lace was cheap. Anywhere else, my dress easily would have been double the price I paid. I would recommend Silk to any bride.

Even though the owner was by herself and helping another bride when we arrived, she made it a point to greet us, shake our hands and get our names and point us in the right direction. The consultant who helped me out was truly helpful but not pushy, you can tell she actually wanted me to find what it was I wanted. I had an amazing experience at Silk Bridal!!!!! I did not have an appt and walked right in and was waited on promptly. I cant remember the name of the woman I worked with but she was wonderful! I found the perfect dress within an hr and Im so excited. I also paid a lot less for what I would have paid for at Davids Bridal. The boutique itself is very charming and intimate. One week before my wedding, my dress had been altered and the dress looked awful on me. I went to Silk Bridal Consignment and begged for their help finding a new dress. The lady in the shop was soooooo nice and extremely patient. I tried on two dresses and when i put on the second dress i actually cried and she gave me hug. I had purchased my first dress that was ruined for almost twice as much as the one i bought at Silk Bridal Consignment. Their selection was great (especially for curvy women) and the staff was amazing! Id recommend checking this place out before spending a ton of money on your wedding dress because the dresses are still designer, just at a much lower price. They literally made my wedding day the happiest day of my life because i felt just as beautiful as i probably looked because of the dress i got from this place!

I read through the few low ratings below, and I have to say that I am shocked!! My experience with Silk was absolutely wonderful! At first the word consignment made me cringe. I was a bit put off by wearing another brides used dress. But after looking at various bridal boutiques that were way overpriced, I decided to give it a try; and I was blown away. Their gowns are stunning!! They have everything from sample, never worn gowns to slightly worn dresses that are still in excellent condition: all within a very reasonable budget. I walked in and told them the name of the designer that I loved. Immediately, she pulled out my dream gown and I completely fell in love. It had never been worn and was just what I was looking for. I also got my veil from Silk on the same day. My mom, mother-in-law, and I felt so taken care of. Id recommend Silk to all future brides! Thank you SO much :)

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Silk. I started my dress hunt at Maya Couture, where I was put into a dress that I absolutely fell in love with, only to be told it was almost double my budget. I left heartbroken, and not at all eager to continue the dress hunt. My mom had to force me to go to Silk and I am SO glad she did. I found THE dress (it was a million times better than the one at Maya) and it was even under budget. The consultant was not pushy at all which I appreciated, and she was very understanding of my dress commitment issues. She took dozens of pictures for me to send to my family, and encouraged me to take some time to think about it so that I wouldnt have buyers remorse. She ended up putting the dress on hold for me so that I could go home and talk it over with my parents, so I called in the next day to purchase it.A few reviews on here say that the owners were rude, I have to disagree. I think a lot of people are used to dealing with commission based consultants who are fake and will say anything to make a sale. My consultant at Silk was professional and to the point (which as a New Yorker I adore) and was honest with her opinions of the dresses. I knew she wasnt just trying to make a sale, she really cared about making me feel like a beautiful bride.And after my experience at Maya, I was VERY appreciative that they wouldnt put me in a dress over my price point. It is just foolish to allow yourself the opportunity to fall in love with a dress that you have no hope of having, so I think it was a smart move on their part to set that policy.LOVE this store, I have and will continue to recommend them to everyone.

If youre looking for a group of women solely dedicated to finding you the perfect gown than Silk should be the ONLY place you visit. Silks consultants make sure that you are the center of attention unlike some other (we shall not name) more notable bridal shops where you find yourself standing around waiting to change gowns or get an ounce of attention; trust me, these ladies would not dream of putting you on the back burner for a moment. They have a gorgeous selection of designer gowns that never made their walk down the aisle and all of them are in perfect condition. I will wrap it up by saying this: my experience was exactly how I imagined finding my dream wedding gown would be and then some!

I found out about Silk Bridal Consignment through another consignment shop. I shopped in one Saturday not knowing that an appointment was needed. I was kindly greeted at the door. I told both ladies what I was looking for and that I had just started looking for my wedding dress. They informed me that I had walked in between appointment but I could look at the dress to make sure I wanted to make an appointment. I really liked that they did not want to waste my time or theirs if they did not have what I was looking for.I liked what I saw and was able to set an appointment up for the next weekend before the brides that had appointment can in. I came to my appointment with my Mother and soon to be Sister-in-law. The whole appointment was professional. I started with three dresses in my budget. From there I tried on different dresses that worked better with my body type and were what I was looking for. After about 45 minutes we had it down to 2 dresses that I loved that were in my budget.One that I had picked out and one that the store owner had picked out that looked horrible on the hanger. I was willing to try it on and it looked amazing on. I walked out of the store with a wedding dress that looks amazing on me. Shows off my features not just a pretty dress. All because of the ladies at Silk.

Nice location, VERY VERY VERY RUDE! Lady made the statement we dont play dress up ... And also said we dont let you try on dresses out of your range she was rude and they have very little selection. We ended up going to All The Rage bridal shop, and it was amazing. They had tons of dresses & she found the one :)

I had an appointment with Silk today and I just HAVE to say that it was an amazing experience. Beverly assisted me and she really knows her stuff. Although we were late for our hour long appointment, she still made sure I got what I needed (without going past our scheduled time to meet). She did not make me feel rushed at all and listened to what I wanted as well as gave me excellent advice. She clearly knows her stuff! She is upfront about the condition of the dresses, whether used or new. As I was preparing to shop for dresses, I thought I was going to have to settle for a dress that I could afford, rather than a dress that I loved, but Silk Bridal Consignment made it possible for me to walk away with my dream dress!

Came in to this boutique on a whim by myself and they were very sweet and flexible. I tried on (my now wedding dress) and wasnt sure if I wanted to say yes without my mom. I made an appt. for the next week not expecting that dress to be available. As if it was meant to be I went in with my future sister in law and my mom and I tried on many dresses. The dress I originally tried on was it. I was very pleased how cool they were and comforting. I picked out the dress I wanted, and I was so impressed how well Evie paired accessories with my dress. My veil, to headpiece to sash she nailed it! She was also very honest and told me there was a small hole in the veil before purchasing (didnt even notice it). I appreciate the honesty. They didnt rush us after buying the dress and let us hangout with champagne. I love this mother daughter duo, they are first class. You made one happy bride!

Everyone at Silk was so helpful especially the Sales Manager. I went in on a busy Saturday without an appointment expecting to be turned away. Instead they fit me into their schedule a few minutes later, asked me questions about what exactly I was looking for, and helped me find the dress of my dreams!

Had a wonderful experience with Beverly at Silk. Almost my entire bridal party and mom(s) came with, and they were very accommodating. The new, larger location probably helped. Didnt feel rushed. They give you a quick run-down of their system, then let you tag which dresses youd like to try. Fitting rooms can be stressful, but we did not get that feeling here. Walked away with something I loved. They also recommended a few good places to get our dresses altered.

My Daughter recently became engaged and wants a wedding in only four months, so using a traditional coture bridal shop was out of the question due to time restraints. We made an appointment at SILK and were thrilled with the gowns and the professionalism of the staff. My daughter found a gorgeous, new, coture gown that we purchased that day and took with us! They say that timing is everything - Id highly recommend SILK to any Bride, no matter how far in the future the wedding is to be held.

It was absolutely a wonderful experience, they were very attentive, fun and helped me with what I was looking for :)

I had a great experience here. I went in fairly certain of the style I wanted. The lady helping me pulled everything they had that fit my description but nothing really worked. I was getting discouraged and she could tell. She pulled a dress completely different from what I thought I wanted. The second I stepped out in it, my mom cried and my 2 friends with me lit up. It was magical. I started to think that this moment in the tv shows were bs. The dress fit me like a glove and is stunning. Thank you so so much for helping me! I cant wait to wear the dress on my big day!

Im sure every girl out there wants to give the shop where she buys her wedding dress 5 stars, but Id like to preface my 5-star rating by saying that I absolutely HATE shopping. With the added pressure of it being for a wedding dress, I put my dress shopping off as long as possible, until the fear of not finding a dress in time outweighed the stress of shopping.My first shopping experience at another store wasnt quite a disaster, but it was close. I didnt have enough time to browse through the dresses, and I just couldnt find the words to properly express what I was looking for in a dress, not speaking the language of weddings and shopping. I found something that was okay, but it didnt feel quite right, as wed have to make all sorts of adjustments. I am so glad I trusted my instincts not to put down the deposit because everything about my trip to SILK was just the opposite and such a relief.First off, contrary to other bridal stores, SILK just makes sense. Wonder of wonders, the dresses are actually arranged by size and price, and all clearly marked, so you know which dresses are new, which are samples, and which are once-worn. You know exactly what you are looking at. Open, honest, and pragmatic - thats my kind of shopping!It only took one comment to make me feel free- You arent going to hurt the dresss feelings. Finally, I could express myself! Un-stifled by salesmanship or imagined snootiness, I could relax, and be myself, say exactly how I really felt, and get what I really wanted all along, but didnt know how to say.And to top it all off, the prices are incredibly reasonable! Even someone on a small budget can get a high quality dress that doesnt feel cheap or cheesy. There was a wide selection of styles, prices, and sizes. Plus, the dress you try on is the dress you take home, so no surprises.I would not hesitate to recommend this store to anyone who appreciates good sense when it comes to weddings.

After reading bad reviews I wasnt sure that I wanted to visit this store. Im very modest so wedding dress shopping did make me a bit anxious. Ultimately Im so glad I made an appointment I found my dream dress and Evie my consultant was the pleasure to work with.

I am not one to complain, but my experience at Silk today was absolutely HORRIBLE. One of my bridesmaids tagged along and was equally shocked at the poor customer service. Not only did I feel rushed, but I also was only allowed to try on certain dresses and was told that many just would not fit because of my proportions. I left feeling completely defeated and frustrated. Luckily I had a dress appointment a few weeks ago at another boutique and my experience was MUCH different (as in a trillion times better). I dont know what I would have done if this was my first. The consultant, who did not even introduce herself to me, was rude to me and my mother and rushed us out as soon as the 3pm appointment arrived. I would not recommend this place to anyone due to my experience there. I have never been so unhappy about something like this, but customer service is key in this industry.

HORRIBLE!! HORRIBLE!! Went to Silk yesterday w/my daughter who is getting married in 6 months. We walked in and immediately felt the bad vibes. The 2 women, a gothic looking young lady and an older blond in her 60’s [probably the owner] were seated when we walked in. NO greeting! They both were acting as if this was Kleinfelds in NY. The young lady, got up, put the clipboard in my daughter’s hand and said before we look at anything you have to fill this out. My husband then asked how were the gowns set up? She said “we’ll get to that right now I need her to fill out paperwork.” Strike One! Strike Two! She asked what was our price range. My daughter said she didn’t have a budget but if a particular dress jumped out at her, she’d get it. Now, my daughter is a size 2 or 4 up top. She saw a ballroom gown she immediately fell in love with in the Size 6 – 8 range. My daughter wanted to try it on but gothic girl refused to let her try it on because she said “it’s not in your size range.” I came over and asked what was going on. She REFUSED to allow her to try on the gown because she couldn’t risk the dress not fitting and possibly mess up the dress. I told her “that’s why you’re here – to help her in and out of the dress so it doesn’t get dirty, torn, ripped, etc.” I even told her that she’s petite and was a 6 to 8 in other wedding dresses. She flat out refused because she said “I know that she’s a size 10 and this won’t fit” and would not allow her to try on the dress [now mind you, she never measured my daughter]. My daughter calmly looked at me and said “let’s go mom.” She was completely deflated as she saw the dress of her dreams in SILK. After that fiasco, we had no other appointment but I took a chance and called All the Rage and they told us to come in even though we had NO appointment and they were very busy. If you want an AWESOME shopping experience don’t waste your time at SILK. Spend your money where it is appreciated. All the Rage had gorgeous gowns and Amanda was awesome! Very patient, helpful and not pushy. AND, my daughter found the dress of her dreams and I even found a gorgeous gown.TIP for Owner & Staff [as they are a reflection of you]: Treat people with respect and don’t be such an elitist snob because you don’t know what people can afford.

My first visit to silk was amazing. Bev was so nice and kept a conversation with my mom going the entire time we were there. She was helpful and seemed like she had a lot of product knowledge. I bought a Mikaella dress, which I absolutely love. However, the 2nd time I went in to pay off balance of the dress was a WHOLE different experience. It hadnt even been a full 30 days and the sales women had no idea who I was. The other lady working in there just kept saying Im not even suppose to be in here! Its my day off! I swear I heard that at least 5 times. Thats not what you want to hear when you are paying a good amount of money for something (Consignment or not). I cant say going there was a mistake because I LOVE my gown, but their customer service needs WORK.

The owners at this shop are very rude and snobby. I came in with my daughter, future mother in law and future nieces. I first came in and she asked if Id been anywhere else. I told her yes but I still want to look and not say yes on the first one. She asked me my budget and I told her. Tina said to me you might want to go back there then bc our prices are higher than that. I still stayed to look just in case. I tried on a few and everything anyone said BOTH owners had something to say. One example is that I am having an outside wedding and I do not want a train. She couldnt beleive I didnt want a train and wanted to know why I didnt in a rude and demanding way. The entire time, they were both just rude and disrespectful toward me and my family. THe ONLY thing I liked about this place is that they werent super pushy on a sales point of view. I wouldnt recommend this place at all.
