I could have not asked for a better experience when looking for my dream wedding dress! When we first got there, we were very warmly welcomed by Diane, and we sat down and chatted briefly about what I was looking for in a dress. Diane immediately got to business and started bringing back dresses for me to try on. I actually really liked that she went back and picked out the dresses for me instead of us looking through and picking out random ones. She knew what I was looking for and had enough experience and knowledge to know what I would look good in. I fell in love with the first dress she brought back (this ended up being the one we bought). I tried on a few more, but nothing beat that first Diane brought to me. While trying on all the different dresses, it was very clear to me that Diane knew their designers and clearly has a good working relationship with them. For such gorgeous gowns, they also were very decently priced as well! I cant wait for my dress to come in!

I researched dresses for a long time prior to actually stepping foot into a boutique, as most brides do. I knew I wanted a Justin Alexander dress & had a particular one in mind. Because of COVID we kept pushing planning and finally in April we set a date of 8/8 and needed to get going! Since I knew going to Kleinfelds in NYC & getting my dress from Randy wasnt an option, I knew I would get it at Milk & Honey! At my 1st appointment, they had the JA dress I wanted but my excitement was quickly followed by disappointment when they told me there was no way he could do alterations in time for our wedding & I didnt like that dress on me. I tried on another dress and as soon as looked in the mirror I knew it was the one & it was a JA dress! Brooke was able to work it out that I could still get that dress & get alterations done in time! So grateful to her for making it work! At my final appointment, I had a vision & she was amazing at helping me accessorize to make my vision come to life! My dress was perfect in every way & so was our wedding day thanks in part to Brooke & Diane at Milk & Honey Bride! Im looking for excuses to wear it again LOL!

We decided to get married in Vegas in 3 months. Was able to get the most amazing gown here same day. They gave me contact info to schedule my alteration appointment. Very helpful. I absolutely LOVED my dress!!!

Milk & Honey Bride is the best of the best! There may be a fair few bridal shops to choose from in Hampton Roads but I’m telling you go. With. Milk and honey. They have out of sight dresses. Stunning inventory and even more stunning service. They will make you feel like you are all that matters snd will bend over backward to help you find your dream gown. It truly wasn’t hard for me as Diane brought me different silhouettes and we narrowed it down. Brooke and Diane are the best !!! You can tell they have a great demeanor and reputation with the designers and colleagues they work with too. So pleased!! I would come for my fittings or pick up and roll in from work not always in the best mood and they had a way of being so kind that the magic of the biz would just transport me and my mom and get us so excited about wedding planning. They exceeded my expectations with exceptional, personalized care. Diane and Brooke were fantastic- they did everything possible to help me customize my gown and bring my vision to fruition, and it was phenomenal. I live in the DC Metro area and traveled to the Hampton Roads area to try on bridal dresses because my family is there locally. I wanted them to be able to participate in the whole experience. I was recommended Milk and Honey Bridal shop and was so glad I found my way there. Brooke and Diane are absolutely wonderful to work with. They are so kind, gracious, and accommodating. Their personal touches of excellent customer service shined through from the start to the finish with the whole process. I was able to have my alteration appointments done on site and they even allowed me to bring my mother in (visiting from out of state) to see me in the sample dress at a later date. I purchased my veil, my head piece, necklace, and earrings from a jeweler their shop works with as well. Everything was so perfect. I love love love the dress they helped me find. I was very nervous about ordering a dress during a pandemic and they were calm and confident the entire time - which helped put me at ease. Im so grateful for Milk & Honey Bridal shop and all that they did to help make me feel beautiful on a special and memorable day. Thank you once again Brooke and Diane.

After I got engaged, dress shopping was one thing I wasn’t looking forward to for various reasons. Body image, dreading white (just isn’t flattering on me), budget, and more. So naturally, I went into this endeavor with a negative attitude. I felt so limited with local bridal shops because of my budget. I decided to just call Milk & Honey, tell them my budget and ask if it was worth either of our time. I was shocked when Brooke said it would definitely be worth it and she was absolutely right! The second dress I tried on was “the one” and completely within budget. I tried on a couple more after just to ensure it was the right one and she never pushed for me to try on anything remotely outside my budget. (That in itself made for a pleasant experience.) More impressive and heart warming, was that she SOMEHOW never put me in a dress that was unflattering on me. Dress shopping turned out to be the easiest and most enjoyable part of my entire wedding planning. Brooke went above and beyond for me. She even went out of her way to help me with my daughters flower girl dress which was a huge weight off my back in itself. The atmosphere she created is unlike any other. Warm, supportive, and most of all, fun!!

I had the greatest experience here. I was kind of last minute looking for a wedding dress, because I wasn’t going to wear one. My mom talked me into it. I called and they gave me a same day appointment. I went in and the first dress I tried on was made just for me!!! It also happened to be half off which was great!! The ladies were super nice too!!! I give this my highest recommendation!!

Brooke went out of her way to help me find the perfect dress! I wanted a tea-length dress but couldnt find exactly what I wanted. She was patient and listened to my requests. She gave me recommendations that were helpful and helped guide me through my dress shopping experience. She even gave me the name and number of the alteration lady who made my vision a reality. I was working on a tight timeline and she made it happen! Plus size brides shouldnt even waste their time going to any shop other than M&H. Brooke is amazing!!! 4 pics are of the final dress after alterations. The 5th pic is an ad that shows the original cut of the dress.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Diane and Brooke. All I did was tell them color and skirt shape and scrolled through some Pinterest and they pulled the PERFECT dress. And the wide range of sample sizes meant there were no bungee cords or big clips involved. They have an amazing selection and work incredibly hard to make sure you look and feel amazing.

I love my dress, Brooke and Diane helped me to build it. They were patient and kind, and super reassuring when I built the dress. I got countless compliments on the design, before the wedding and during. Highly, highly, highly recommend, especially since their option was cheaper than designer dresses, but you wouldnt be able to tell mine wasnt.

Amazing! I waited a little late to start dress shopping, and I am a plus size bride so dress shopping was already going to be hard. Brooke and her friend were so wonderful and hands on through the whole experience. I tried on like 6 or 7 dresses and they were patient and encouraging through each and every one. I am soooo happy this was my first stop for a wedding dress! While the dress I ended up loving was discontinued, the sample fit perfectly so I was able to take it home that day! They even worked with me to find the perfect accessories after I picked my dress, all while I danced and hung out in the dress! Its amazing what they are doing in that store, never once did I feel self conscious about my body, or shamed for my size. My confidence has been boosted ever since! I will definitely be recommending them to any curvey friends getting married in the future. Thank you so much Milk & Honey!!!!

We took the bride back to milk and honey to settle a few of the dress options. Brooke looked at all the pictures the bride had and immediately came up with the idea to make the dress the most beautiful ever! She absolutely loves the dress now. Brooke listened and made everything perfect! Also it would have been nice if they had adjusted their website to reflect the changes they needed to make for covid. For example, the website said there would be no other clients in the shop but there were. Also we were all expecting champagne. I was going to bring some but we expected it to be provided. I understand why theyre not giving it out but they should have changed their website.I also felt like there should have been clarity about the steps in the process, including things like an accessory appointment, what the next steps were going to be, and anything else. Unfortunately, I was unable to afford the lovely dress I wanted from this boutique to no fault of the staff. I committed the cardinal sin of trying on the Mercedes of my Honda Accord budget, haha. BUT please do not allow my shanagins discourage you! Their dresses are beautiful and there are very affordable options for beautiful gowns even for us fluffy girls. The staff is so welcoming and actually pay attention to your pre-filled survey. When you arrive, they already have several selections picked out based on your ceremony theme. I was greeted as “Shantora, sparkly ball gown right?! I was hooked from there and my girlfriends were even more impressed. The location is small and intimate so, if you prefer a more personalized experience with excellent customer service vs. every one in the store gawking at your selections, this is your place. It is also important to say, that I even received a follow/up call to figure out a plan to get my “Mercedes dress”; however, these women deserve every penny charged. I am especially grateful for Brooke and her sweet, patient spirit. The day I visited Milk & Honey, I truly felt like a bride.

If I could give Milk & Honey 10 stars, it still would not convey my gratitude for Diane and Brooke! After an unfortunate incident with my dress being discontinued, Diane and Brooke sprung into action! Before Diane even called me, she had already ordered a dress into the store (in my size) that looked almost identical to the gown I chose BUT as if that wasnt good enough, the dress had two other features that I had previously said I loved and wished my dress had. Essentially, they took what could have been a completely panicked moment, and gave me my dream dress. If you want a personal, one-on-one, amazing experience, youll go to Milk & Honey.

Although I didn’t purchase my dress from here, because it was my second store and I actually fell in love with one at my first appointment. I was still greeted well and helped and taken care of by Brooke! She was super nice and kind and wanted me to be honest even if it meant I liked the dress from the previous store better. This is the most inclusive bridal shop Ive ever had the pleasure to experience. They can do magic with these dresses if youre thin, tall, plus size, or petite they can literally accommodate anyone!!!! And the dresses are simply marvelous to boot!!!! Love with a capital L!!!

Perfect place for the curvy bride.they made me feel wonderful. They picked great dresses and really paid attention to my budget. Which was under $1000 (really I didnt want to go above $500) ended up spending $820.44 the dress is great. I have to save for the bolero I want though. Brooke is wad working on that for me too. The one I picked cost $380 but she found one almost exactly the same for $260. So they will work with you. My experience was great. I thought I knew what I wanted but putting on the style I liked just didnt look good on my body. The first dress I put in was pretty and made me feel grown up. The fifth dress was the one its blush instead if white and my Mom and I agree that what sold us is it has pockets! If you are a bride with meat on your bones do not skip an appointment at milk and honey. You have nothing to lose and the perfect dress to gain.

This was an amazing place to dress shop. It was very private and accommodating. I was terrified to try on dresses and have them not fit, but they had so many sizes and styles that there was no way I wouldnt find one. They listened to what I said and chose dresses very well. They had suggestions and accessories for everything! Once I found my dress, it was perfect! They brought out champaign and celebrated with us and then helped us pick out accessories. I highly recommend the store. Brooke and Diane are amazing!

Leading up to being engaged, I was a little obsessed with the idea of Milk and Honey because Ive has those awkward shopping experiences where all the sample gowns maxed out at a 12. Reality far surpassed the daydreams. Brooke had pulled a few dresses based on what I liked before we got there. We tried them and when one was a contender, but not quite right, she started pulling skirts to change the look until we found the winning combo. The dress was amazing. But when Brooke went to go help Missy with another bride for a moment, I heard my ladies talking about a different dress. It didnt really fit in with what I was looking for, but it seemed like just a fun throw-away try-on since we had already made a decision. Let me tell you, I did not think the moment was going to happen but I could not stop grinning in that last dress. And then I got tears. And then Brooke got a veil and I was sold. Brooke and Missy were so wonderful. I would recommend Milk & Honey to any woman, no matter her size, looking for a great experience shopping for a bridal gown!

A friend and I had an awful experience at Davids Bridal, and on our way home we googled nearby bridal boutiques. We stopped by milk and honey not expecting to try any dresses on without an appointment, but to browse and set an appointment. Brooke (the owner) was there and was so warm, welcoming and accommodating. She had 30 min until her next bridal appointment, so she gave me a few dresses to try on and I fell in love. I came back 5 days later with my mom and bought one of the dresses she put me in. The prices are very fair, especially for the quality of the dress in comparison to what Davids had.You cant go wrong here. The dresses are stunning and of high quality. Brooke and Missy are amazing. The boutique is adorable. If that dress were down the street for a little bit cheaper, I would still choose Milk and Honey for the experience alone. Nothing but praise!! Brooke helped my mom and I find the style that best fit my body and made me feel beautiful. This was our first appointment of the day and she was so patient and encouraging as I tried on dresses. This place is awesome, was in town for only a couple of hours and popped in here. The owner and her best friend are truly amazing. I was not feeling my best that day and walked out feeling like a Princess. The dress, veil, and accessory selection were plentiful and tasteful. Walking in I thought I wanted a specific style, I showed Brooke a few photos and she pulled the similar styles based off of what I showed her. After trying on a few of those styles, I was not in love with any of them. So Brooke pulled a few that she thought would look great on me. She was right! I can’t begin to explain how much of a beautiful soul Brooke is. She made my wedding dress experience amazing. I had been shopping for dresses for months (started February 2017 and met brook in October 2017) and could not find anything DIFFERENT. I wanted something that no one else has warn or seen and Brooke had it. She is your biggest fan through the whole processes. She worked with me and what made it so special, for me, was that missy would call me, not to rush me to buy but just to check on me and see how things where going. Very understanding... I never met missy but I did get to meet Diane towards the end of my experience there and ladies she is a doll. I will forever be a MILK AND HONEY BRIDE . Thank u ladies for making this experience one to remember. I married on August 25 2018. Oh and my mom loved this boutique and she is hard to please.

Let me start by saying that wedding dress shopping was something as a new bride to-be was one of the exciting things to check off my todo list!But as I soon found out that if you have any meat on your bones its going to be a not such a fun experience. I went to two other shops and had a really hard time finding a dress that I liked or could fit to even try on without being body shamed by the saleswoman.
