Kings Grant Auto was recommended to me in 2007, and I have never been disappointed. A few bad apples can make it really hard to find a mechanic you trust, so once we met Lee, we knew wed never need to look anywhere else. Even through changes in management and ownership, they consistently provide good quality, honest, fair priced care. We have taken all our vehicles here for the past 14 years and recommend their shop to everyone we know. Their services are even easier to schedule now that theyve implemented online appointments, service recommendations, and payment!

Customer service is excellent, everyone was so friendly and respectful and very accommodating especially Lanni, since I am pregnant and due anytime now. She made sure I didn’t have to much of a long wait. I highly recommend this place because the service and atmosphere of the business is welcoming and very helpful. They get things done in great timing and they take care of their customers.

I always get my gas at Kings Grant Exxon, but last week was the first time I was in need of a tire shop. I was taken in immediately. The technician was very polite and knowledgeable, explaining everything. Fee was beyond reasonable. Needless to say, I left extremely satisfied and will definitely return. This place is amazing.

Very disappointed. I returned to this location because they were able to perform my last inspection 2 years ago on short notice. When I came back in April, my inspection was rejected and the tech stated that I needed new front rotors. Fast forward to today, when I finally got the funds to have the rotors fixed. I thought this was strange because my rotors were changed in summer 2017, and my driving has gone down since moving to VA in 2017. So I got a second AND third opinion. I was told by two different auto techs in Norfolk And Chesapeake that my rotors were fine. In fact, the second tech in Chesapeake told me to return the rotors I purchased. Guess I will be going elsewhere, as it was very stressful not having an inspected car, trying to get the funds to pay for the work, only to find out I didn’t need the work at all.

I needed my inspection done right away. The staff was very accommodating and they got my car in right away. They quickly inspected my car and let me know it needed new wipers. They had the wipers in stock, installed them and made sure my car was safe and legal to drive. Thanks for the great service I know Ill be back in the future.

I woke up one morning with a low tire, and sure enough I had a nail in it. I had to take care of it immediately because my car has no spare tire or tire kit. I found Kings Grant Exxon Tire and Auto on Google Maps nearby, with great reviews, and I called them up for a quote. To my surprise, they said they could help me immediately, and instructed me to drive in and park in front of their first repair bay. I arrived and within minutes they got the nail out and patched the tire. Thats great service! It was affordable at only 20 dollars to patch it. Id say thats a win. Will definitely remember them for future issues.

Great place. Took about an hour to get an inspection(which is great since it was the 26th of the month). Went over details of suggested repairs and I love the text with photos of the suggested work.

Terrific service. Needed the car towed in for servicing and they arranged it. Towing was added to bill, making it easier for me. Had head gasket replaced and Barry was great, answering all my questions. I must have called back three times, due to questions I forgot to ask, and Barry was patient each time I called. Car was repaired within a couple of days. Car has been back on the road for a week now and is driving great. I will definitely be using Kings Grant Exxon again.

The staff and mechanics are all extremely friendly and honest. I have taken my vehicle in for several inspections and other miscellaneous items, and they never try to talk me into anything I dont need. They will give a fair warning if something might be close to needing repair, but I have always had an excellent experience here!! I can trust them 100%!!

I have a 2001 Mercedes and I had Kings Grant do a major check on the auto and everything was done precisely and neatly. Also like that you can make an appointment on the computer. Diagnosed a non existing leak on my 2007 Sienna rack and pinion. I do not trust them with anything more than state inspections. I use them only because they are open on Saturdays when I am off work. Hope it changes for the better. They were great 3 years ago.

This place came highly recommended by a co-worker who gets all of her vehicle maintenance done there. I only had to get an inspection but I decided to give them a try and I am glad I did. The staff was very friendly and took the time to explain in detail the things that needed to be done. For someone who knows nothing about cars, I found this to be extremely helpful. They actually remind me of the mom and pop establishments from my hometown where everyone knows everyone and you knew the work would be done right. I have definitely found my new go to place for vehicle maintenance and repair.

My review from Feb 2016 - State Inspection, tire rotation and balance, and coolant flush and replace. Been taking my vehicles here for standard service since 2004 (when I moved close by). Ive never had any issue with these folks. Work was completed to my satisfaction. Looks like you can schedule service online now. Great!Update 9/2018. Ive had more work done since my last review, including significant maintenance. They always call first if they find other items that need attention (found issues were verified by me). Work was done well (couple minor corrections needed - wire tie downs), on time, and at a cost below what was quoted to me by the dealer. Ive seen some harsh comments on social media about this shop, but I have never experienced this (Im an engineer by the way). Recommend.

I took my car in to Kings Grant Citgo today to have my car mini-detailed. This was my first visit to this station. The service was excellent to say the least. My automobile looked like new again. I will take my car there often for any kind of repair, oil change, etc. The people I talked to and dealt with were kind and professional. I have been to many auto shops over the years but none have ever continuously given amazing service like this one. I can drop my car off and have it ready only a couple hours later, even with last minute inspections. Plus their services are very affordable and they always take care of my car right. Everyone who works at Kings Grant Citgo is always so helpful. They always do a great job with service and have always helped out especially when I have got nails in my tires. They are very customer friendly which is great since my mother is almost completely deaf and they always take their time explaining things properly to her and myself about the car.

Great and convenient place to have your car repaired or inspected. They receive tons of business so the turnaround isnt usually as fast as some other places, but the work has been spot on. A little pricey on the hourly labor and they have set labor hours depending on what you need done. All in all they are still much better than some other mechanics near by.

Once again, Kings Grant Exxon exceeded my expectations for car repairs. The staff not only completed the repairs sooner than promised but also charged me $1000 less than the quote because they are so efficient and honest about the actual time required to complete the job. I am thankful for a place that is so close by and relationship oriented that they work with my special needs. They have earned my trust. I was very pleased with the service at Kings Grant Citgo. Have gone many times for tire issues and have always received excellent service. This time the tire was repaired but two new tires were recommended. After checking with the dealer who I usually use, KIngs Grant prices were much less, the tires were ordered promptly and put on while I waited. Barely had time to open my book! I will now also consider having my car serviced there as I feel they can be trusted.

Kings Grant Citgo is an honest, fairly priced service center for car and truck repair. The mechanics listen to the customer and do only what is requested. They provide no pressure advice on everything they see, whether it is on the repair list or not. They do good, honest work the first time. They dont get upset or uppity if a recommended repair cannot be authorized, for whatever reason.I trust them.

Moving to this area and not knowing anyone or anything I stumbled into Kings Grant Citgo for an oil change and realized they do all auto repair. They treated me well and do an amazing job. I was so thankful to find an auto shop I can trust to keep my cars running. They have been trustworthy and Im so thankful I have found them tucked away.

This is the only auto repair shop I trust in Virginia Beach. I have used them for years for everything from state inspections to tires. I wont let anyone else touch my truck. Recently, my truck was vandalized. After it was sitting in a body shop for 3 days with nothing done, I had it moved to Kings Grant Exxon. They worked with my insurance adjuster and I was back on the road in just over 24 hours. Take it from a local who was born and raised here - dont take your vehicle anywhere else.

DO NOT GET AN INSPECTION HERE!!!You have been forewarned. The mechanics and front desk are very friendly as they rob you blind when they go out of their way to find problems (over an hour on my vehicle) with your automobile. They are more strict than any dealership pertaining to inspections. They absolutely 100% of the time use an inspection as an opportunity to profit. I thought the first time was a fluke and gave them the benefit of the doubt. Now I feel taken advantage of. Dont get swindled on an inspection here.

Always very professional with quality parts and quality work. With few exceptions, I wouldnt take my car anywhere else in Virginia Beach. The only thing Id like to see froms Kings Grant is free diagnostic services. When my check engine light is on, it makes sense for them to take a look and then perform the necessary service. However, when they charge $97 just to hook up their computers vs. the $0 that Advanced Auto Parts and other local mechanics charge, I just cant justify it.

These are by far the most trustworthy and fabulous mechanics I could ever ask for. I freaking love Lee.

I recommended Kings Grant Citgo to a friend visiting from Pennsylvania and she was very pleased with their service.

My neighbor dropped off her recently acquired 1994 S10 pickup truck for a state inspection. It was rejected with a substantial list of discrepancies involving the brakes, various steering components and the exhaust system. The estimated cost to correct these discrepancies was nearly $2000. I suggested that she allow me to inspect the truck and perform all necessary repairs. I replaced the rear brake shoes, wiper blades and secured the battery at a cost of less than $40.00. She then took the vehicle to a different inspection station where it passed with no discrepancies noted.

These people are terrible. After waiting for 2 hours waiting for a routine inspection the people told me my car passed. Then a few minutes later they told me in failed! They told me there was no heat coming from my car so I couldnt defrost it... I defrosted it this morning when the windows were fogged up?? how do you explain that one! I use this particular shop for many years. Never have I had such a terrible experience. I will never go back. Seems like they try to make problems to get extra money. Thank you for wasting my time today.

Weve gone here for nearly a decade and spent thousands at this shop. Sometime in the past year they changed their policy on their coupon card program restricting use to one vehicle. If you own two vehicles, not only can you not use it on your other vehicle, but it also cant be used on a new vehicle if you sell the vehicle that theyve written the name of on the back. So youve paid for services that they refuse to perform.Their door-to-door salesman did not inform us of this change when selling us three of these cards recently. When I informed them of this and asked for the salesmans name they claimed not to know who that person was.Well take our business to another company that doesnt play these types of games. Unacceptable treatment of a longtime customer.

I always take my vehicles to Kings Grant Citgo because they do very good work. Every time I have had a repair done, they have been honest and up front about what the problem is and given a fair estimate for the cost of parts, labor, and fees.As a woman, one thing I really appreciate is that they do not talk down to me or try to overcharge me (as other repair shops in the area have done). Also, if I have my young children with me, there is a park across the street while we wait and they do not act as though it is an inconvenience to have them in their waiting area (as other shops in the area have done).

SCAM ALERT!! Do not take your car to this service center for inspection. My Jeep passed last year with no issues and this year they quoted me $1,439.39 to fix multiple issues they found. The salt in the wound is they gave me grief about using a coupon they mailed to me as a new resident to the area!! (so I gave them the extra $6 douchebags) STAY AWAY, FAR AWAY FOR YOUR CAR INSPECTIONS!!!!

Maybe because Im not a regular like some of you I got the short end of the stick. I have a fairly new Impala, recently tuned up by my mechanic. Had the whole check list for inspection completed, along with a full tune up and oil change. Came here for an inspection and magically I have no Exhaust gaskets.... Impossible, especially since I drove from NYC. They removed them to charge me for something extra smh

This was the first and last time i ever go to kings grant exxon.THIS WAS THE FIRST AND LAST TIME I EVER GO TO KINGS GRANT EXXON. My electric cooling fan engaged when I first started my Jeep in the morning. This shouldnt happen. The fan should only engage when the coolant reaches about 200 degrees.The indicator light lit up on my dashboard.I took my Jeep up to the Exxon, I explained to them what happened and I would like a cost to fix it. I also told them it was probably just the sensor. A couple of hours later a mechanic called and said it would cost approx. $800.00 to fix my Jeep. I told him that was a outrageous price, dont fix it, I will pick up my Jeep in a little while. When I got there and asked for my key they said I had to pay $90.00 for a diagnostic charge. They never told me that it would cost $90.00 for a Diagnostic charge. So I paid the $90.00 in order to get my keys back from them. I went to Auto Zone and Auto Zone plugged their computer into my Jeep computer and said my cooling sensor was bad and needed to be replaced. Auto Zone didnt charge me for the diagnostic service. They told me the part will cost $15.00. I bought the part, went home and installed it. It took me 10 minutes to change out the sensor. My Jeep is running great and the indicator light is off.

Going through the process of buying a used car and have been using KGCs used car checkup service. Their thorough review has prevented me from making a mistake worth at least hundreds of dollars on a vehicle I was poised to purchase. As with all of the services I use at their shop, I always feel like I get full value for the cost of their work and terrific customer service in the office.

This is the second year that I have had my car inspected at the Citco, and have had a great experience both times. The staff is very friendly and professional (and quick). The ladies were very accommodating to my 3 year old grandson that I had with me. I gave it 5 stars for a good reason. I would definitely refer anyone I know to visit this Citco.

The 2007 Dodge Nitro with over 101,000 miles was running poorly, sounded like a washing machine agitator, and had dasboard lights flashing on and off. Barry checked everything from stem to stern to make recommendations and a reasonable price for the work. All the work was done in a timely manner, and the car now runs like new--all problems solved. Knowledge and dependability of the mechanics is the reason we bring our vehicles to Kings Grant Citgo. We also like the money saver card.

I get my state inspections done here because its convenient and close to home, so I can drop my car and walk home. The manager is friendly and always takes time to explain everything to me. The only issue i have is they always find something wrong to fail the inspection and a few times when i got I fixed the problems and came back for the reinspect they called out new stuff. Way overpriced for their work too.Update- i took my suv to get it inspected and they failed it- said it needed a lower left control arm and it was going to cost $975! I thought that was fishy because it was the exact same part they called out on my other car when i got it inspected a few months ago.So i took my suv to another mechanic friend that is a state certified inspector. He said there was nothing wrong with the control arm and that whoever called it out didn’t know what they were doing. He then took my suv down to his shop and completed a full inspection and passed it. He also found a few maintenance items that needed addressing that kings grant auto either failed to catch or didnt care because they were low cost.If i had the time i would have called the state police to have a trooper come down with me to kings grant auto and have them conduct a re-inspection. Then explain why they were calling out the control arm. But it’s just a waste of both my and the troopers time and most likely they will continue ripping off people.Stay away from this place!

Barry and his complete staff never fail to satisfy with excellent service. From the front staff who have always been courteous and helpful to the very knowledgeable mechanics and service personnel in the bays. I especially appreciate everyones honesty and integrity. There have been several occasions over the past 12 years that I thought something much more serious (and expensive to repair) only to be advised that repair was not necessary. This place is terrible and the staff is rude. Went to get my car inspected and it failed. When I returned for re-inspection, the state inspector yelled at me because the inspection results paper was not in the car, but they never gave it to me. I have brought multiple cars here and have issues every time. Do not take a vehicle for a state inspection. They will find a reason to fail it. Every car they inspected while I was waiting there failed. They are costing customers hundreds of dollars in repairs that are unnecessary.

We have brought our cars to KGC many times over the years and are always happy with their service. Just recently we had work done on our 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix and everything is now working perfectly.When we drop off our cars, we let them know what is wrong. A few hours later (if not sooner) we receive a call telling us what the repairs will involve and the cost estimate; that estimate tends to be pretty accurate. At times they even have an estimate and general idea of the repairs needed before we even walk out the door after dropping off our vehicles.I recommend KGC to everyone!

I should of paid attention to the negative write ups, they are so true. Trying to use a coupon was a joke, attendant can not authorize, owner must be their for they are the only ones who can approve coupon.
