I did a lot of research on where to get my truck lifted and new wheels/tires, cold air intake and exhaust. I had a great experience with Southern Performance. I’m a very indecisive person, and they were very patient with me and pulled up all the different wheel and tire combinations I wanted to see and really treated me like a valued customer. It was clear from the start that their top priority was me being happy with my truck. I never felt like all they wanted was my money and to slap a sticker on my back window. They will have my business as long as I’m stationed here.

This shop is amazing! Nowadays many mechanics are not professional but these boys have capsized the paradigm. The ownership is highly educated and the techs practice true engineering standards, not just shade tree mechanics. These folks a pros in custom lifts, caps, bed liners, and premiere truck accessories. Beyond super stylish appearance, they are equipped with a full dynamometer tuning lab and top caliber programmers ready to tune your truck straight into beast mode. I couldnt be more impressed with this team. They are the best auto shop in all of Hampton Roads. Many of the large dealerships in this area contract with this business. Beyond the high level of professionalism, the customer relations are far superior to the industry standard. I would send everyone from my grandmother to my racing pals to this shop.

One of the few shops in the area that has a road force balancing capable machine. Finally got my balancing issue as close to ideal as possible and better than 2 other tire shops had done. Was able to answer any questions I had related to the tires/wheels/balancing equation, very knowledgeable.

Ive done business with Will and Janos for almost a decade. Theyre good honest mechanics with reasonable prices and excellent service. I highly reccomend them. Ive had steering column replacements, tire replacements, engine mount replacements and when I had issues with a transmission transfer on a Ford they were able to refer me to a good transmission service company with an excellent price.

Highly recommend! I had a lot of restorative maintenance done on my 04 TJ that had been sitting for a while and needed some love. I also got a full set of shocks, wheels and tires. They completed everything in a little more than a day, and every member of their team I spoke with was professional and polite. Their labor prices are fair, especially as efficient as they are. The drive home from the shop was the smoothest its ever been. Ive used two other local 4x4 shops but I had such a good experience here that Ill use Southern from now on for everything.

Put 50 miles on 2008 mustang GT after ford performance cams were installed. Works fine, looking forward to returning with long tube headers and a dyno tune, in the very near future.

I had a belt snap in side my Nitto tire. They are an authorized Nitto dealer. So I went to them because of the warranty process. The tire has been lost in process. Its been over 6 months!! havent seen a dime. The manager there is nice and trying to help but the understanding of everything and the process of it is horrible...!!!

We take my wifes Volvo there regularly and routinely receive impeccable and highly competent service. Comes with my highest possible recommendation!

They installed the differentials in the front and rear of my jeep, as well as new ring and pinon gears and have only recieved the best customer service possible.

Was going to get some front end work done with an allignment till I found out they take your truck somewhere else to get alligned.. so why charge to get an allignment?

These guys are honest and fair priced. Ive got an offroad Xterra and I had my pinion seal and differential fluids replaced for a great price. Another shop wanted to charge double. More than that, I had a heater that wasnt working, took it to another shop and a dealer who both charged me an arm and a leg to fix it but it wasnt working again within 6 months. These guys took the time to identify the real issue which was air deep down in the system and cleared it the right way which took a lot of effort so it wont happen again. Thanks guys!

Worst Shop In The World. Do not Know What They Are Doing Couldnt Tell You An AC Condesner From A Radiator

Wow! I love this place. I called them because pungo did not answer their phone and Im impatient. They set me up with a lift for my JK that fit my needs perfectly. They did not try to upsell me on things I just dont need yet. They had the lift in within a few days and had my appointment set up for when it got there. I dont remember the guys name but he answered my million questions with patience and understanding that I am new to off roading. I will be going back for all of my off roading needs that I dont know how to handle myself. Highly recommend this place

Stacy oakeyafter changing my diff gears at Southern Performance on Virginia Beach Blvd. They left my hub assembly bolts So loose I could take them out by hand, and the owner did not even own up to it. The owner said his impact gun broke and they were tight when he test drove it . That just tells me they do not use Loctite nor a torque wrench. I will never use them again nor recommend anybody else going to Southern Performance on Virginia Beach Blvd.— feeling shocked.I dont think I could trust them anymore because he did not own his mistakes he just give me an excuse
