My go to garden place! People are very nice, knowledgeable and helpful, huge selection and variety, and an absolutely beautiful gift shop. It is one stop shopping, they have everything! I have been coming here for 4 years and will continue for many years to come.

This is not only a source of plant but also a park. If I could purchase a land I will try to build such reach Gergen.

Still one of my favorite stores for garden supplies and flowers.However, this visit I was looking for a potty of mums that was tri-colored with bright blossoms .I found a container that had two colors but all the rest were one solid color.Hopefully next year they will offer a tri-colored option in smaller containers. Hint: 6 pot

We were very happy with the sugar maple tree that the Garden Barn picked for us. Tony and Liam from their staff delivered and planted it. They had a lot of roots to cut through and they were pleasant the whole time.

Some of the salespeople are friendly and knowledgeable. But most of them just ignore you. They have a great selection and prices seem comparable, plus they mail out discount cards if you get on their mailing list. All in all good, but I think their service could use some improvement.

This was our first time visiting and the plants were gorgeous. Unfortunately, my son and I spoke with two staff trying to find what we were looking for and one that checked us out. Im new to gardening and had questions. All three staff made me feel like I was ridiculous and ignorant. We will not be returning. Life is too short to feel like you are less than others.

One of my favorite garden shops. If you are looking for something different you may just find it here. The have statuary, bird baths of all kinds and colors bird houses and feeders. The hanging baskets are beautiful and the have a wide range of styles and colors to choose from. The have a great selection of trees, shrubs, annuals and perennials.

I had a problem with my plants and once again they helped me solve it. Theyre always so pleasant and helpful. A pleasure to do business with.

Love The Garden Barn. I come from East Hartland, in the north west Hills of CT. Its worth my time and trip. I belong to their club for rewards and I accumulate my dollar tickets and use them in August for end of season deals. I saved for a butterfly tree today. Gorgeous dark red its called but its a dark purple. Its worth just walking around and seeing all the different kinds of plants, flowers and trees they have. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. I will return for fall annuals which are out now, then will be back in the spring!

We always love going there. It was more window shopping than buying. I did buy a couple of things and was happy with my purchase. Being one of their members adds to your buying power.

Love their selection and the outdoor staff is SO knowledgeable. They are always eager to help and give us so much important information. Cashiers seem to not have great customer service, I dont know how they could be so miserable working at such a great place lol.

They have a good variety of annuals, perennials, shrubs and trees. All of your gardening needs and then some. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

You can find virtually anything you want to ant in your garden or around the house. We found some beautiful petunias that were black velvet, and numerous other unique patterns.

Decent quality plants, however-The indoor staff are rude. On more than one occasion the cashiers are having full-on gossipy conversations while ringing me out, preventing me from asking them any questions (which I wanted to, but I’m not one to interject...)And the prices are higher than any other garden stores in the area. So, skip it and drive the extra few miles to Manchester or Bolton.And to the owners, do yourself a favor and get rid of the rude cashiers as this seems to be a common theme in your negative comments.

Great plants and variety in selection. I think its a bit to much that they require you to wear a mask on the outer edges of the outdoor space where you can maintain 6 ft. However, for the indoor greenhouse section I understand. I wish they would change it for the outdoor space I would visit more and buy more.

I have always loved shopping here because they have such a great selection but was extremely unhappy with my experience today. I went in to the outside section of the store picked out a bunch of flowers and plants only to be approached by a very rude employee telling me I had to put a mask on. After reading the governors guidelines yesterday he said if you are able to maintain 6 ft of distance (which I was) masks are not required outside. How can they expect people to wear them is 85 degrees?. It’s hard enough to breathe with out one. This is not about safety it’s about control. I left the plants there and went to 2 other outside garden places where I had no problem shopping with out a mask.

Due to the virus, we ordered our hanging baskets online. The service was great. The plant that they picked out for us were beautiful. Kim was very helpful.

Wonderful selection but it is the quality of the plants what makes the difference. You can’t compare these plants to plants sold by Home Depot or Lowe’s - it is significant. Maybe you are paying a little more, but it is insignificant. Worth the short drive any day.

I live in Arizona and was looking to have a planter delivered for a 63rd anniversary and 87th birthdays for dear friends. Because of Covid-19, contact was being done by text. Chelsea texted me pictures to get an idea of what I liked and we wrapped up the order easily. I couldnt be more thrilled with her prompt response & gorgeous selection! Beautiful garden

I would give no starts but that not an option. This was my first time to Garden Barn and it was my last. I showed up a week ago during Covid to see If I could find any house pants or cactus, I figured they would be outside for people to see. Nope. There were a ton of people walking around through the plants so I thought it would be ok for me. I went to the front door to speak to someone about browsing plants and I was greeted by a very husky women with brown hair. No hey, hello, or how may I help you.I got what? what are you doing? Very rudely.. I explain to her I’m not sure how this works during covid and if I’m allowed to browse pants. I was told no, I need to go on the website and do curbside pick up, I asked if there were pictures of all the plants so I know what I’m choosing. She told me yes, there are pictures of everything . So I sat in my car for 15 minutes trying to use a website that is not up to par. There were little to no pictures for house plants and cactus, and the description was lacking details. For someone who’s unfamiliar with plants this was confusing and frustrating! I drove away to another nursery after that, they gave better customer service and were helpful with all my questions. I would work on improving the online store and customer service if you want to keep customers or attract new ones.

Fantastic! Came here to get plants for my sons Eagle project. The woman we spoke to was incredibly patient and knowledgeable. The facility was beautiful and clean, and the plants all looked so very well cared for. I will absolutely be back again!

On time, and for the agreed upon fees. And on some of the hottest days of this summer! Dave and Jay were hard working, efficient, and cleaned up when finished. Phase 2 was completed today, and again they showed up, with everything they needed, went to work on the plan.......It is SPECTACULAR!!! Looks like a new house! Thanks to all who were/are involved. We LOVE it!!!

Cashier personnel seem to be miserable and lack friendly customer service. Previous day I spent tons of money there. Today I tried to purchase some top soil and it didnt go well. Staff seem to forget that customers keep this place running and people employed. I wont return and neither will friends and family. What a shame when you want to support local business

Purchased 15 arborvitae trees and all that goes with them. The staff was more than helpful as they provided answers to all my questions and with respect and even loaded all the trees into my truck and trailer. Ill be coming back for sure.

Only complaint is 5 is the limit of stars I can give them. So Ill just say 100 gold stars for this wonderful piece of heaven

So disappointed. Be very careful with this business. They have a sneaky way of adding a $30.00 delivery charge without telling you. Asked for a plant to be delivered and was told the plant was $40-50 and the total with delivery would be @ $60.00. this total was true, but a $27. plant was delivered and a $30.00 charge was added to bring the total to $60.00. the owners explanation was that you approved the $60.00. Very dishonest people. (Receipt was not emailed until Monday)

Plants are fine but terrible landscape design. Our landscape was designed by Linda Tascoe. Three years on, I have had to spend 100s of dollars moving trees, adding some color etc. Would NOT recommed their landscaping services esp if you are not very familiar with landscaping and actually need help

I heard this place was expensive, but I didnt find the prices too bad. I spent bought a beautiful hibiscus tree, and revived a $5 off coupon towards the purchase. I got a club card which then gives you more coupons and discounts. After shopping there, I went to Home Depot to see if this place was a rip off. Home Depot ran a few dollars cheaper, but the quality didnt even compare. Id rather spend to few extra dollars, have something that will last, and shop locally. Great variety too, and plant or tree you need there!
