My first visit to the infamous meat market in Vernon. Ill say, Wahoo. The grocery stores have something to learn from this place. Fresh is an understatement. You can smell the fresh meat from the parking lot in theory. Burgers, chicken, lots of steak types, sausage, kielbasa ate you hungry yet. How about a 30 pound brisket? Whoa is right. The meat was all lean and mean and priced right. I cannot wait to go back and see what I can barbecue from this place next.

Went to get a nice chunk of meat to make a mothers day dinner. Never had problems here before. Instead ordered this top sirlon I only wish I could share pictures of, theres no option to here! I never had the chance to see it it was rung up and put in the bag, or I never would have left with it. It is coated with a layer of fat so thick it looks more like a marshmallow than a sirloin. I am absolutely disappointed.

Great quality meats and a superb selection of dog treats as well- chicken feet, pigs ears, tracheas.

I used to live in Tolland, CT and I drive all the way from the Framingham, MA, to get the best meats. I have yet to find another butcher shop in my area that measure ups.

I love the quality of their meats, very good. The hamburger makes an incredible cheese burger but.... You better know what you want and the difference of meats to go here. My service lately has been questionable at best and down right rude today. Not sure Ill be going back to the Vernon location. Manchester is not that far.

Excellent customer service and great selection of meats. I have been shopping here for some time and really enjoy their food. The frozen products (fries, fish sticks, eggplant) are better than any chain super market. I definitely recommend this place!

The service is great. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The quality of all the meat is wonderful. It’s a bonus that the have the frozen section with a variety of stuffed shells, tortellini and raviolis- not to mention all the breakfast patties and hash browns. I highly recommend the Vernon location!!!

Was in around noon and wanted to get some petite filet minion, was told by the counter staff they were too tired to cut some for me. They were still open for another 3 hours. Seems like on the weekend you get less help not the 1st time this has happened.

Ive been there to Bogners with my family lots of times from over the years. We have an very good selection of meats, seafood and other items here. This is an must-go experience for getting deli and other meats here especially for lunch and dinner with the needs of your experience. This place is much closer from my home because of an very easy convenience because of my hometown.

Havent eaten yet, but the fact that we had an appointment to pick up our order, then stood in line for 15 minutes to get in, then another 10 minutes once inside to actually get our order. Could have been better organized...

This has to have the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. The line will be excessively long, and numerous employees will walk by and not even offer to help out the one person working behind the counter. The wait times are what I consider to be beyond reasonable. The only reason people tolerate, thats correct, tolerate this place is because it has been here for so long, any business that started up that was operated like this wouldnt make it past six months. Another business I have encountered in Vernon, CT that has adopted the, Its a privelage for you to shop at our establishment mentality. I gave it one star because it wouldnt allow me to post otherwise.

First time visiting this, apparent, long time local favorite. The shop was busy, once I got in and looked around it’s easy to tell why. Great quality, selection, and prices. Can’t wait to try the natural casing franks we picked up! There’s plenty of parking and the staff seemed friendly enough and helpful. We’ll be back!

3rd time I’ve been there. NEVER again! Understanding there is a pandemic and they are doing a lot of phone orders but I was there to get one piece of brisket cut in half. The gentleman rudely asked why I would need a brisket cut in half( I have always had my brisket cut in half so they can go in the crockpot to make pulled pork type sandwiches ) and when I said I put it in the crockpot he goes” really??? In the crockpot?” then had to wait 25 minutes for a cut while a dozen customers came and gone.

Been shopping here for years. The butcher shop is great, will cut and trim to order. Full deli, lots of freezer goods, fresh produce, local cheese and veggie. Its not fancy - its prices are great!

Decent product. Not enough selections on display. When asking the man or young ladies about other options, i got a condescending sarcastic response from the man. Saw the man being rude to another customer who asked about the meat bundles. The ladies looked me in the eye, saw me waiting, and walked away hence why I HAD to speak to the man. That alone made my experience here intolerable. Never coming back.

I bought a beef tenderloin at Bogners. Punched some holes and inserted garlic cloves. Flipped the tail and tied it down with butcher twine. Then I pan seared that bad boy, slathered it with bacon grease and slow roasted it on a rack. Awesome, awesome, awesome.

Very sad! I used to go to Bogners all the time. Both Manchester and then Vernon when they first opened. They used to have better quality meat at very low prices. Now its exactly like going to the grocery store- same quality and same (if not higher) price. Since I have to go to the grocery store anyways, why should I bother going here anymore? Answer: I dont.EDIT Jan 2020 - Okay, I gave them one more try. I asked for a custom cut of meat **with 2 weeks notice** and they said they dont do that. Clearly they are NOT butchers! That was verified when I saw them taking pre-cut (frozen?) meat out of wholesale cardboard boxes and placing them on styrofoam trays for retail. This place is a joke!

I recently purchased 2 packages of Chicken Party Wings Lg. at this place. After opening both packages there were only 4 to 5 wings in each package....packed with drumsticks and other unknown parts...thats 4 to 5 wings out of approximately 15 + pcs... NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!!!!!!!! ...Been shopping here for years...NO MORE !!!!
