Evan though I liked looking at all the boat stuff they were way overpriced

Had another great experience at the West Marine in Venice, FL. Even though all their supplies are down this time of year, Mike was able to order me what I need/wanted and it should be at the store shortly. Also, they have a good selection of vests, Yeti cups and product and fishing clothing. I would recommend anyone in the boating world to spend some time at this store and you’ll learn and see a lot. Great customer service Mike and crew.

Staff is friendly and it is a convenient location but they literally never have anything I need. I’ve been shopping here for 2 years and they are consistently out of stock of everything I need. I’d like to support them as a local business but I’m getting tired of feeling burned with wasted time every time I go hereUsually end up having to drive to Boat Parts and More in Nokomis or the Sarasota West Marine for what I need. (Or the best being Marine Surplus up by the airport).

I’ve been boating for a long time. Which means I’ve been in many boat marine shops and I’ve visited many other marine west shops and this one in Venice wins thee absolute worst shop I’ve ever experienced. Horrible customer service and then the store is half empty. The little bit of inventory is items that are rarely sold that explains the dust on the packaging.

Everytime I call a lady with the most unprofessional an bummy attitude always answers an knows NOTHING about what they sell. 0/10 would recommend SOLELY BECAUSE OF THE PEOPLE WHO WORK THERE.

I delivered there with a 53 trailer behind a midroof sleeper so if I can do it, you can do it. Fella inside unloaded me quickly and was very friendly and helpful with paperwork... Going south on 41 I pulled to the right to let all the traffic get around me, then pulled across the 3 lanes and blindsided up the incline into their driveway. Not a very difficult blindside because you have 3 lanes and part of a left turn lane to use to get set up for your blindside back, so I was about 45° to it when I started. Tires broke loose a little on the incline because its steep so make sure landing gear is all the way up if you have a long trailer.

Great boating equiptment, just a small fishing tackle aisle, they do respool fishing line and have lots of braided line

Good as a company but limited (maybe wrong word) stock.

The customer service at this particular West Marine was subpar to every other West Marine we have been to (and considering we travel via sailboat, weve been to a lot of West Marine stores in many cities). Every staff person in this store was busy chatting with each other and completely ignored us until we went to the front checkout to ask for help. They didnt have much in the way of useful inventory and their staff didnt seem knowledgeable.

Great store. Quite large. Busy at the time we went. There wasnt any sales help except for the busy cashiers. Looking for Xtratuf boots. Low inventory. Nice store though.

Sales Girl was very helpful. They were out of what I needed so she called the other store to see if they had it and they did. Very friendly very knowledgeable. I go back definitely

Staff was extremely helpful but inventory was very low. Prices compared to Amazon were generally in line.

Upon entering the store several months ago, the employee standing at the register didnt even acknowledge me, though I was the only customer in the store. On the way out (without buying anything), I heard him on the phone telling someone that business was terrible. I wonder why. Not much stock, and high prices. A friend in Fort Meyers said that attitude is typical.

Overpriced only-game-in-town marine equipment store, most unhelpful, condescending staff in retail.

I just went to.pick up some gift cards. It was perfect for me. Service was immediate and lovely employees.

We spend a lot of money at this store. We are somewhat new to boating so we usually have a ton of questions. We usually dont get approached with help, and when we have a question, sometimes it remains a question. Also, we have noticed many times, that items will say in stock online for that store but when we get there, its not available. However, it is right down the road so it is very convenient, and they are friendly.

Itd be nice if they had things in stock

West Marine has everything you need and Marine gear that is best you can get

Helpful staff and a good baseline inventory in stock backed up with the catalog. Was looking for a local chart with more intercoastal detail than 11425, west marine brand jackets, and assorted line.Masks required on entry.

They were very helpful finding everything thing we needed along with great advice on certain marine safety

This place has become a joke! Anytime I try to get something for fishing as simple as a fishing real or a part for the boat they always have to order it. There supposed to make it so you can get back on the water as quick as possible, good luck with that but if its flip flops or a bathing suit this is the place for you!

Terrible help,finally between two of us We found everything. Went there to het a fish finder the other day after waiting 20 minutes went to Sarasota great service there.While I was there I saw a man looking at a fish finder when we went to check out He was about to leave without being helped so I told him about Sarasota.By the way it was a $4000.00 unit he was looking at.

West Marine in Sarasota is good, the one in Venice never has what we need....

Do not shop hereI bought a fish finder. Machine was faultyBrought it back within 14 days and I got a partial refund. They stated that they keep the warranty fundsI even tried to exchange it but they still stated the same story. Never shopping here again.
