This place is hands down the best recycling center that Vancouver, Clark County, and surrounding counties have seen. Their team is very professional and respectful.  Ive never been waiting long and the pay is always fair. Ive never once had to second guess if Im being payed correctly or treated properly, which is not something I can say about the other places around here and Ive been recycling steel for 20 years.Remember, team work makes the dream work! Separate and clean before you show up and know what will be accepted/rejected.  I get in and out faster because I separate all of my materials before entering the yard and check with their website if I have any confusion regarding my materials. Remember, they cannot take propane cylinders without a visible hole in them and to get the best price make sure you take off any steel from your nonferrous so it pays clean! Im glad these guys are here, theyve really set a new standard to follow and raised the bar in regards specifically to hiw an operation like this should be ran. I wouldnt go anywhere else, thanks fellas!

Before this young employee worked here, this place was fair with you, especially if you only have time to seperate your clean and dirty brass as well as clean and dirty copper. Now they penalize your time and give you the less priced dirty brass for all this. Used to recommend this place to everyone in WA that works here and recycles metal.Old employees were great and would have given 4 to 5 stars for their service.If you are like me and do not have time to break down the different materials more than clean vs dirty, then would recommend other recycle centers. Co workers still swear by RL Davis.

Giving this 3 stars cause there are good and bad about this place. Today was my first time there. Had lots of metal from a new building we just put up. I had lots of extra C channel pieces and both wall and roof sheathing probably 20 pieces about half size either width or length wise. A full sheet weight is around 41 lbs. Half should be about 20. The C channel is also fairly heavy per foot. I was guessing I had around 1000 lbs. Cause my trailer empty is 2000 and on a scale before going here was 3100 lbs. When all was done they showed 540 lbs.. about half of what the truck scale showed. And because some of the metal was 16ft long not even sure they weigh it! Also the tin price today was 3 cents a lb. Not sure if that is good price or not today?In the end I will say this,Pros= good location close to home. They are open till 4 pm on Saturday!Cons= not sure about weight accuracy? They do not have a magnet for unloading. You must do all by hand.Result, if your just looking to get rid of metal this place is fine. If your trying to get fair price and and specific on weight there are many others that are better. This again was my first time trying them out. For my work we take wire in regularly to metro and maybe I am just used to how metro does things....

Best prices for the drive would cost a lot in fuel to go all the way to portland

This place is terrible do not go there especially close to quitting time. I had a 120 pounds of steel and the guy looked in the bin and said its not worth dealing with hell take it for free but hes not paying me. Also if quitting time is 530 they usually break out the Stella Arturo beer at about 5 oclock at least thats what the forklift driver had in his hand while he was driving around their yard full of nails. Save yourself the flat tire the bad attitude and the potential drunk driving incident and go to Portland.

We brought in a cat converter after calling many places in Portland who would not accept it we were glad this place accepted it!! They gave us a great rates and had very fast service.

I called in advance a couple of weeks to get a quote on the price of the metal I was thinking about saving up. I got a quote. I saved up a bunch of wire and when I got there the guy gave me nothing close to what I was expecting. I explained to him what was said to me and he said the person was thinking about something else. I remember being very specific on the phone about what I was going to bring in and he asked me very specific questions. And I even did some research online about the prices after I got home. I got ripped off.

This place is great. Quick service. They will Negotiate price if you really want to.. they take anything and pay the same day.

Incredibly rude and dismissive when I came to turn in cans. He literally gave me 2$…. It wasn’t a ton but at LEAST 10-15$. It felt like my business was an inconvenience to him. Never met a more rude employeeEdit to add, it WAS NOT the amount of $ offered to me that prompted my review. It was the rude, dismissive employee who acted like they wanted nothing to do with my business. Ive never experienced someone who treats customers the way that man treated me.

Easy to find. Takes anything metal. And depending how fast you can unload your scrap metal you get paid fast. Not a big parking lot so its never really a long wait to get in and out.

So,. I took in 100 lbs of clean aluminum and they gave me $22. I went to cashier and said you guys arent Even paying half of the scarp price, whats up. He said he paid me the right prices and just looked at me with a ridiculous expression. So I said no I will take it back.I drove 5 mins away to city bark where they paid me $46 dollars for the exact same items. Shame on you guys how to u stay in business by cheating all of your customers.

I have went to them awhile back and thought they did a good job. I think people need to realize there running a business and have to be able to make money and if they seem rude it might be from dealing with rude customers all day thinking there going to get rich with there empty cans.

Last Saturday I left metal here. a worker with a broken arm deceived me very cruelly, he spoke rudely and not beautifully. my dirty weight was 1647 pounds. as a result, they gave me $ 11 for 700 pounds and said that the rest of the punts are his containers. at the request to put his container on the weight he sent me ... to anyone and never recommend this place

Do not go here there rip-offs go across bridge to Oregon and double your$$$ and there parking lot is full of nails screws and chunks of metal no regards to the people that bring them scrap. they love it when you look at check and wonder why they ripped you off

Weekends are very busy as they only have 1 or 2 people working both the scrap yard & propane filling station!!! I recommended getting your propane during the week, if possible😊

I called on December 3rd to verify that their hours on Sunday or 10 to 4 and I arrived at 10:10 workers didnt show up until almost 10:30 told me that he had work to do in the back and I could not come in, when I asked him how long he would be he said he would be at least another half hour and to come back later I told him I would just go ahead and wait he said I couldnt wait there I had to leave and just come later, at 11:00 I finally went in and waited for him he come over he told me he wasnt taking my metal because I closed my door on my truck and backed out and left. the kid is rude completely unprofessional no matter what theyre paying him it is too much, go someplace else and get a better price and better customer service.

A compact pickup of accumulated aluminum cans got me $11.That paid for the trash can I bought, to save them up in bags.

Favorite scrap place around Portland area, they pay better than most, although be careful and make sure you have quality thick tires before you roll through their property... Because I may have made like $200today, BUT, a chunk of it is going to go to repairing my back tire in my truck😣 not their fault obviously, just my typical LUCK!

The lowest prices in town, so if you like to get top dollar or even triple then go to Portland. Better prices about double you will get at other place around Vancouver. But overall service was not bad here.

Convenient fast and friendly service close proximity, not off the beaten path you can get in and out in a matter of minutes and pretty much they take all Steel and appliances.

Dont know why people are complaining I went today and the service was fast. And respextfull employees....they cant just have a full blown conversation with you in the yard withevery thing going on. Prices were good 500 lbs of tinsteel.

Horrible horrible customer service. Waited a long time to talk to anyone, we finally got to talk to the younger guy that ran the forklift, who was very very rude and careless. You have to wait a long time for him to bring you over a bin to load up, which he was reluctant to do. If he picks up the bin and big stuff falls out he just drives off and doesn’t let you put it back in the bin. The pricing is terrible. We will never return here and I suggest you don’t either. So incredibly frustrating.

After EH Metal said my HUGE bbq grill weighed 16 lbs, I thought I should beware if I ever went back.I tried them again and they wont prove the tare weight of the dump bin and you cant see the scale weight from outside.Im sure the employees know how far off the tare weights are and they probably pocket the difference every time they can.As far as Im concerned, they have cheating scales.Youve been warned!REPLY TO OWNER: Then have the state certify the tare weights. Thats where the problem is.EDIT: I believe the 5 star reviews are horribly naive and/or fraudulent. No one there is friendly or professional.

Called at 4:45 to confirm they were open. They said yes they were open until 5:30, normal hours. Drove 20 minutes to get there at 5:12 and the gates were locked and the business was closed. Very frustrating.They just lost a first time customer.

The guy that opened opened the gates opened up late, made someone backup into traffic for whatever reason, made us wait over 45 minutes before telling someone else to help us, then proceeded to lie about the scale wait. Have us 30% of three actual weight and amount we should have received. We have the transaction in writing and will be submitting this. This place is extremely dishonest and the person in charge of the facility was very lazy and slow.

Quick, friendly service (I did go on a weekday near the end of the day). Got a few bucks for my gross old kitchen stove and trampoline frame and stuff - sure beats the dump! The guy that helped me unload was keen to notice I had some copper, and made sure that it was weighed separately so I got paid fairly for it! Business integrity! Awesome!

The guy that drives the fork lift is an awesome person every time I go there hes always in a good mood and he knows how to talk to the customers. The young guy that works inside the booth Im sure hes a good person but he comes off as Angry Young Man my only concern with EH metal as someone that deals with customers daily he needs to learn how to smile and address customers with a different tone you could mistake his tone is being rude or someone that just doesnt like his job old might not be true but thats how he comes off overall five star rating if you ask me

Brought in two OE converters, they offered 38.00 for both of them. Thinking i was stupid and desperate. Two other recycler s gave offers of over $100.00These guys will rip you off

Friendly staff, clean establishment (it is a metal recycle, after all). We took a load of scrap metal in the back of the truck, loaded it into the bin they brought over, got scrap metal price, and left with a bit of cash. Pleased with the transaction, and would use them again.

I’m gonna be honest with all your negative reviews. Grow up. This place is providing a service for you. Theymake it so you don’t have to go pay money to go to a dump . The owner clearly is involved with your reviews and cares about your feed back but you can’t be mad at him for constant negativity. This is the best place in Vancouver Washington I found to scrap a car. They have instructions on their website on how to prepare to scrap your car. They paid cash for your junk car. All you need is a bill of sale, proof of title, lost title or junk affidavit and your ID. Remove all the fluids oil antifreeze fuel transmission fluid the oil pan transmission filter Freon and Schrader valve removed remove battery personal items license plates and Mercury switches and unexploded airbags

DO NOT BRING YOUR NICE TRUCK OR CAR HERE. I brought some scrap and when the guy was driving the forklift he pushed the bucket right into my tailgate. I asked the guy what he was doing and he just stared at me and back the bucket up. Very disappointed in driving skills and what little they paid me for my scrap.

What a disaster! The employees are rude and carelss, but we were in and out and the prices were exactly what I had read online before coming. It was very dangerous and dirty. Crushed beer and soda cans. 585lbs and got $88.00 it was 15 cents per lbs. Not even close to market price of 50cents per lbs. Told me after he dumped them and I couldnt take them back.My bad for assuming it would be close to market price

Awful costumer service. The guy was rude, had no costumer skills and treated us with a hurry. He quoted our metals incorrectly and we had to ask him twice if he was right, apparently he gave us the wrong numbers. Talking about safety, Its basically enter at your won risk. Careful if you get run over by their trucks. Definitely not going back to this place. I dont recommend it.

Kid on the forklift was extremely rude. Worst customer service ever! Also, I wanted to turn in a few truck batteries and I thought they would pay somewhere in the same area that others do, 6 to 8 bucks a battery, but not even close. 15 cents a lb is what I was offered. Thats like 2 bucks for full size truck battery. Dont waste your time here.

DO NOT GO HERE! after showing up and having to walk around trying to find someone, when I finally did the guy said someone would be out to help me and I can wait by my car. No one came out. After about 10 min I tried to wave another guy down and he looked at me and walked the other way. I dont care if its a scrap yard at least try and have some customer service. After waiting about 10 to 15 min and two employees blowing me off finally I left. I work as an electrician and know a handful of guys that scrap copper regularly, I will make sure they never come here. What a waste of my time.

This place sucks. they will RIP you off with any chance they get. I brought two 40 foot aluminum ladders and they guy told me to just set them on the ground 2 seconds later he handed me 5 bucks. i said to him your not even going to weigh them? he replied why. your probably going to get less then 5 bucks. I said I doubt that being that I have scraped multiple aluminum latters at this same location. he weighed them and it was 115 pounds of clean aluminum came out to be 27 bucks.

I brought down my old catalytic converter today, wasnt sure if I could recycle it or not so I asked the guy (unsure of name) and he tested it to make sure it was really a converter and he gave me $45 for it. Awesome place, wish I had more metal to recycle!
