My daughter and I went for dinner tonight and the food was so good! My only complaint was I ordered fries with my open faced roast beef sandwich and they accidentally gave me mashed potatoes, but they brought me out fries to go with when I mentioned it. Honestly though I didnt even really need them, I was so full from our appetizer of cheese sticks and my sandwich and the mashed potatoes (which were homemade). My daughter got a chocolate milkshake and I got a slice of chocolate pie to go. Service was really fast and while Im not sure who exactly our server was since there were so many different people that came by and helped us, everyone was friendly. Everything was really delicious and I would definitely go back on the regular if I lived closer. It was a treat to stop by tho, we had a great experience; we left stuffed and with leftovers too.
Food was awesome! Everything we ordered was delicious. Low prices and great staff. Had Tyler as our server and he was super helpful and attentive. Will definitely be back.
One of my favorite Diners! The blueberry pancakes are huge! They actually use real blueberries and the compote is not too sweet and its not syrupy. The country fried steak is full of flavor and they are not stingy with the gravy lol The hash browns are crispy just how I like it and most importantly you get your moneys worth.
This place is fantastic. I love the service, the food (we come for breakfast) is 1st rate, and you wont find a better diner style atmosphere. Youll find me here many times in the future...
Dined in alone. Ordered 2 meals because I couldnt choose between sweet or savory. The Chicken Fried Steak with Country Potatoes and a Biscuit, as well as the French Toast and Bacon.The steak was tender and flavorful. No fatty deposits making it hard to chew. The biscuit was fluffy. Not dense or overcooked. The French toast and bacon were perfectly grilled.Service was amazing. I had Devon, who was extremely charismatic and nice. I was also checked on by 2 other gentlemen as they made their rounds.Incredible experience, even though I figure they were all wondering why a purple-headed girl was eating two meals while dancing in the booth 😅 (I dance when Im happy. Food makes me happy)
Very homey and quaint restraunt. Serves and diner theme very well. Our server was very nice and the food was delicious. Even with covid-19 complications theyre doing their best. Give Starlight Diner a try if you get a chance!
Super gross found face Or body hair on my food .The waitress handed me my plate and I looked down and there was a hair on my eggs l pulled it of my eggs to show her. l said very nicely can you please Get me some new eggs .she just stood there staring at me like it was an inconvenience .it took forever for her to get back. my son would not eat his food .which was disappointing because it was his birthday meal. l kept trying to flag her down to bring a refill on my coffee lost my appetite finally had to stand up to get her attention She acted like she couldn’t see me finally another lady came and refilled my coffee when I finally got my check I was surprised the had charged me for my breakfast .l was Going to ask to talk to a manager but didn’t want to make my son feel uncomfortable on his birthday

Excellent! Very good food!I had the burger, fries, and shake and all three would make any old school American diner proud. The ambience was on point, the staff friendly and quick, we were very happy with this.Good value for your dollar, portions were enough we didn’t go away hungry.
I was originally going to give a 2 star, but Im not purely because this place is a diner and not a restaurant. The experience was pleasant enough. The wait staff is kind, but not too fussy. The food was cooked well, albeit bland. I tried the fried chicken because it was a must try on the menu. Though the breading was crunchy, it lacked seasoning and an adequate brining/marinade. The green beans were fresh, but slightly over cooked. The mashed potatoes and gravy were the saving grace. The portions are very large and the pricing is definitely reasonable. Food aside, Im not sure when the last time they wiped down the walls(there were food splatters), people were being packed into the booths with little to no social distancing, and there was a dog in there that Im not sure was a service animal. Would I recommend to a friend? No.TL;DR : Food is okay for the price you pay. Questionable atmosphere.
Cute, authentic old diner, walking in feels like taking a trip into the past. Great prices, decent coffee, friendly staff. It may not be the best food you ever eat, but its good and worth the experience. I would come again!
This is a great joint,on Friday & Saturday they have Prime Rib and it doesn’t disappoint,Fish & chips every day,Well worth trying.EditThe staff are always friendly and helpful, it must be a good place to work, mostly school kids working there,And they must have been trained well,Always clean but you can expect a little wait, but again Well Worth the Wait.
The diner was slammed on a Friday night which is to be expected. It took about an hour to get our food. While the food was OK, the cleanliness of the restaurant has room for improvement. The menus were gross (needed to be cleaned or burned) and made me wonder if I wanted to eat there. This is easy to turn around for a great experience.
Food was delicious, prices were amazing, and environment was fun! Got the chicken fried steak breakfast. Food was delicious! I love chicken fried steak and have had many of them and this place was in the top 5! Wife got waffles and cleaned her plate. Definitely recommend if youre in the mood for classic American diner food!
Classic diner - youll get exactly what you expect. Food is good, service is good. Went on a busy Saturday morning, they were efficient and attentative. Great prices compared to some other breakfast places.
I love this awesome little restaurant. My son and I always come here when we both have a day off of work. I always get the eggs Benedict. And boy are they so tasty. Its a Quaint little diner. Juke box on every table, and the staff are great. I highly recommend.
Atmosphere is cute, food is good. I think my hubby spoiled me with his omelets because nobody compares. The other plates going by looked delicious so go and have fun :)
I love this place. Every meal has been delicious, never had problems with seating or waitstaff. They don’t harass you about “Is everything ok over here”? Type stuff. Which is great.
Stardust Diner is a place to get really good food at reasonable prices with the waiting staff friendly and very conciseness of the customers satisfaction. It’s a fun clean dining experience.

The prices are good, the staff are friendly, and I love the food. Was recommended to me by a friend and now that Ive visited I will definitely be a regular! I especially liked their bacon and the banana pancakes; was told the chicken fried steak is excellent :)
The food was good, and I felt was a fairly good value. The wait staff was friendly and made sure to check on us and refill coffee and drinks as needed. Id have given it five stars of it werent for the nasty bathroom. The mens room definitely needed attention, as it looked like it hasnt been cleaned in a couple days or something.
Driving through Vancouver and food on my mind. The shiney exterior drew us in. We were there mid afternoon on a Saturday and it was slow per the waitress. Luckily were able to get immediate seating. They quickly took our drink orders and got them out to us. Shortly after our waitress arrived for the main order. The Ruben with fries, and a peanut butter malt is what stood out to me. Both were delicious. Others in my party ordered the Patty melt, and a bacon cheese burger. I will definitely be recommending this as a stop for any friends that are traveling near here.
The atmosphere is fun and lively and the shape of this restaurant is joyfully retro! Each seating area has a personal jukebox that works! The building is the shape of a 50s roadside rail car, which is why we checked it out. The food is not fabulous and needs some improvement (no fabulous taste). We will definitely come back to see if the food improves and just to sit in this retro atmosphere.
Ive lived here in vancouver for over 15 years and have never been to this amazing diner. I order liver and onions, ( never thought anyone could give my mom a run for her money) but they came in a close race to the taste. Very good, my mom order the meatloaf, which was just as good. I love to eat and was eating both of our plates. I work at BEST WESTERN PREMIER, down the street and anytime a guest ask for a restaurant recommendation I always tell them.about Stardust Diner. The waitstaff is amazing as well. Good job guys and gals.

So many options and everything we tried was good. The milkshakes are amazing. The chicken fried steak is the size of a dinner plate and pretty much everything is huge. You arent counting calories here!
The halibut fish and chips was delicious along with the cornbread, and the blackberry shake topped off a great meal! So happy we stopped here! Our server was awesome and very attentive even though it was busy. He let us know it could take a bit longer because they had a lot of pickup orders for the kitchen to prepare.

Wow...This diner is a real throwback, just ask the happy Seniors who eat there frequently! Huge menu that offers something for anyone. Prices are VERY reasonable. I tested the cook by ordering liver and onions (my challenge to any restaurant) mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw and a dinner roll...all this for under nine bucks! 😋 our server was attentive and polite.This diner warmed my heart and filled my belly with good food.Stardust Diner truly earned my 5 star review.
Absolutely disgusting lack of service tonight. Had to wait around 5 to 10 minutes just to be acknowledged. Then waited another 10 minutes or so to wait for my order to be taken. No one said Ill be right there I paid for a soda i didnt drink and left. All they could say was sorry. Was NOT busy and NOT short staffed either. The young female waitress is a joke. Def wont be back for a long while.
I miss standard diner food, this really fit the bill. Pork chops, mashed potatoes, corn, garlic toast - yum. Great breakfasts, too.

What a hidden jewl. Me and my wife have come hear for years and for good reason. Friendly and energetic staff old style dinner feel and of course amazing food. Everything I try is so good I devour and I dont normally enjoy food this much. Me and my wife usually come for dinner and get steak and bar b cue ribs. We have gotten other items on the menu but thats what we love the most.
We went around 11am on a Saturday so it was busy but the wait to be seated wasnt long. What was long was the wait for a couple of eggs, hashbrowns and toast. I wouldnt have thought too much about it if someone on the crew would have done a better job keeping our coffee cups full. The food was not hot when it got to our table and it was a little bland. This is just my opinion. This is a busy place and I know people who like it a lot
We stopped by for lunch on Fathers day,so we had to wait a bit since they were packed. People who waited were offered some pastrie,which was unexpected and really cool. Who else does that? I ordered a strawberry waffle,eggs and hashbrown. I enjoyed all of them. Everything was delicious! The interior is unique and very clean. 5 stars

I finally went to the Stardust Diner with my wife and Im so dissapointed that I have not been here before. I had the Redneck Benedict which is two buttermilk biscuits topped with two chicken fried steaks topped with your choice of eggs, I chose over easy and finally topped with sausage gravy with a side of perfectly cooked hash browns. This was simply heaven heaven on a plate!!!

The diner looks great from the outside and is very 50s/60s themed inside which is great. Everything is clean, the staff are great, and the food is delicious for a good price. The corned beef reuben is wonderful, as are their cream pies for dessert. Definitely worth stopping in for some comfort food in a neat atmosphere.

I bought the New York steak and This was the best steak I ever had.I am picky and want to eat good I mean $16.25 for a beautiful delicious dinner!!! So happy I came here. I’m traveling from New Mexico and can’t wait to come back and bring my family!!! Excellent service they don’t rush you amazing. Got our name on the list then 3 other tables came in and were seated. The front desk/hostess was completely disorganized and confused. We had a great brunch somewhere else.
Standard American fare in a quaint, retro environment. Our server was absolutely amazing! Very fun place to enjoy a good, home-made feeling meal.

Been going here since I was an infant literally, now am 22 and was nice coming back to something familiar after travelling for a few years. If you want a classic dining experience this is the place to go. Did I say its super affordable?

The food here is pretty good. I enjoy the service too. When I visited recently, I got the chicken strip platter. Its a little pricey compared to other places, but the taste is worth it in my opinion.The retro atmosphere is also very novelty. When youve been here multiple times it the novelty wears off, but the food definitely is a great reason to keep coming back.This place is good for dates, meetings, and parties.

My only complaint was they forgot my side order of bacon ;-) at first... but then remembered and doubled my order at no cost. Some of the best customer service Ive seen in years!!! Very impressed and will make the trip back soon. Keep rockin it guys! Food was great and couldnt have had a better experience. Cracker barrel in portland could learn a few things from these guys.
