Bought a home and it comes with some stuff that a tech needed to set up.Guy that came to set it up was nice and well mannered but would ask for my phone and start changing settings vs telling me about it so I could do it on my own. Turns out if you cant figure out the settings in the future a service call will cost you $$.Was going to get their subscription for the doorbell and asked about the benefits the second time and responses I get are the service guy should have already told you or a 2 line response that the doorbell already does. Youre trying to convince someone to buy your subscription product, you can be a little better mannered.Not subscribing, Ill just get a Google nest doorbell instead.Edit: I cant even remove my garage door from the app(alarm.com) on my own. Gotta get a service request in.Here is the best part, I called to get a service technician to have it removed and the guy makes a snarky comment like you could just Google it. When in fact I did Google it and results tell you that you cant remove it on your own.

Had them come in to install ethernet cables through 3 different floors. The installer managed to do a clean job with no extra cuts needed anywhere. Very happy with the results.

I have a central vacuum unit that I think is original to my house (built in 1965), it is a tank, and it says it is a “Beam model 252” on the side. I tried to Google it, it’s like it never existed. It needed a gasket to go between the dust bin and the unit (the current one looked like it was from 1965 too). I brought the disintegrating gasket to A Tech Easy Living Store, and they gave me one they had that was a similar size and they thought it could stretch to fit (it did). They didn’t charge me for it. I went in one time because my power head was horribly underperforming, it is not a very expensive unit, I thought it needed to be replaced. I told them I needed a new power head, and was looking to purchase a new one (a very expensive purchase). They told me to bring my power head in to see if they could fix it, and it was very easily fixable. They could have easily made a hundreds of dollars sale, but were more focused on helping someone out.If the tank ever gives up the ghost, I will replace it at A Tech Easy Living Store. But first, I will bring the beast with me to the store, because I know they would want to see if they could repair it first. It’s that kind of place. They are great

I called A Tech after a daytime home break-in. Money was no object as I was scared and wanted to do everything I could to keep my family safe. The kind people at A Tech told me what I needed and explained why I didnt need things I thought I did. The installer was kind and very professional. The best part is the live monitoring. My child and I have set off our alarm by mistake and they are prompt in calling to make sure we are ok.This locally owned company really cares about their clients. A neighbor went with a national chain and they spent ALOT more than I did and the service is not even close to A Tech. Criminals must know about A Tech because since I installed A Tech, (and have their signs posted outside my house) we have had no problems.I even get a break in my home owners policy because of this system.Tom and his team are the best! If you want to keep your family safe call A Tech!

I have had an A Tech security system for over 20 years & have always known I, my family & our property are protected. The Derecho hit & the storm took out 4 of the 6 rooms in my home. The A-tech security system still worked except for one motion detector that was destroyed. the system ran on battery back up until power was restored & has been working ever since. This is thru demolition & re-build.I would recommend A Tech Easy Living Store for anyone who wants to Know their home & family will be protected at all times. A Techs devotion to Professionalism, customer care, & Integrity is unquestionable. Their Alarm Central Station is owned & Manned by their own trained Professional Alarm Central Station Dispatchers. You cannot find anyone better at what they do... & yes Id agree with the peoples review concerning the Easy Living store, You can find whatever you need, if they dont have it theyll find it for you.

We have had our Beam Central Vac for over 15 years and absolutely love it! It is convenient, easy to use and best of all - keeps the dust out of the home!. We have had very good service when we needed it, we replaced the motor in the unit once (very reasonable) and had replaced the power brush handle once. Pretty good for a unit that is over 15 years old!The folks at A Tech Easy Living Store are knowledgeable and very willing to assist in any way they can. Highly recommend visiting the store! They have LOTS of items that can make your life easier in your home!

Great products! Exceptional Service! I was out of idea for what to buy my wife. I stopped at The Easy Living Store and they had all I needed to make her happy. I would have never thought of a self opening garbage can as a great gift idea, but they said she would love it and she did! I was amazed at everything the store had to offer and how helpful the staff was there. I will go back.

This is the perfect place to go when you have no idea what to get your relatives for Christmas/birthdays. They have fun gadgets all the way up to amazing electronics. Their customized closets are also something just about anyone can use. Who doesnt want to save some space in their home? Stop by and check it out sometime.

I went to this store on 9/25/18 looking for garage organizing equipment. A nice gentleman helped me decide on two bike lifts. I paid with a credit card and they gave me that receipt along with a handwritten receipt. I went to the store again on 10/19 to return the lifts (found them elsewhere for half the price). I had my credit card receipt but did not save the handwritten receipt. I was told by the lady at the counter that she could not refund my card without the handwritten copy. She could only issue a gift card. I asked if she could look that up with the receipt I did have and she said, “No, this is the only way they do it.”For being a “tech” store, they need to update their operations to match before I return!

The people here are truly amazing. I wish I could do more than just give them a great review. These people truly care about their customers and will go the extra mile for them. I have both the security system and the beam. They have superior response time, superior sales people, superior customer service skills, superior products. Every single time I have needed something they not only complete it but do so with a smiling face. As for the products- their response time for an alarm is 2nd to none. The security system is very stout without the price tag. Unbelieveable!!!

So this year I started building my Dream Home and wanted to make it have some smart capabilities as well. For example, smart lighting, Sound for all TVs through speakers throughout the home and Finally wired networks for all stationary items like TVs for streaming and a Strong wifi network to handle up to 150 wireless devices including smart shades and Hide a Hose technologyNow when I started this journey I did not start with A-Tech I started with another Technology in Des Moines that tried to give me the above request for $45K . When I had stated my budget was $20K throughout. Needless to say after numerous bad meetings with this organization the manager //owner told me to get my quote and he would match the price. To me this was a joke, I wanted a group that could help me plan the best functionality for my dream home.When my wife and Lori came to A-Tech in the middle of the summer we of course were not in the framing stage yet. In one hour and understanding our needs she came back to my wife and I with a plan. she explained options with wireless lighting. I went with Lutron Caseta Lights, She gave me an option to go with wireless speakers in the house but also Sonos amplifiers to connect all TVs so I can play the game outside on my deck along while hearing it in the kitchen or any individual area or throughout the entire house. She gave me the wireless network that can handle and has been handling more than 50 devices since It was setup on November 8th. When Curt (hands on team) came to my house to wire it we discussed more options and even added some wiring to different rooms which we added to the project. On the day of move in JR (hands on team) walked me through all of the functionality. Honestly we had some challenges over the network but Curt, who did all the Pre-wire and JR who did the install to work made sure that everything was working and not only did JR provide me a call after he left he checked in on me a couple of days later and even stopped by just to check in on me when he was headed back to the shop. When I reached out to JR via Jodi in dispatch even she was so amazing in just how she talked to me and ensured she took care of any concern I may have had.This team from Point of Sale (Lisa Brown) to rough end (Curt) to installation (JR) to dispatch (Jodi) this experience was amazing from beginning to completion. I have never been happier with the level of service I have received from this team. I have not once felt that now that my loan has closed and the transaction complete they would ever leave me to figure out any challenge I may have on my own. This team was personable, they took the time to ensure that their work was functioning they ensured that I understand the functionality of the tech. There was nothing oversold here. They all spoke the same language and put me the customer 1st. This is organization is group that understands I am not a customer until the deal is done this is a group that understands I am their customer everyday and going forward and this transaction is just one of many. I am of the old school where service means more than anything else. Anyone can get a sale but do you know a team that can gain a customer for life. I do! and that team is Atech. David and Tom are the manager/owner of this organization. I have already called and spoken to Dave. I still have to get Tom on the Phone but I will explain to him what it means to me that he has such a strong team!To all readers please ensure that when you go to ATECH you speak to Lisa, Curt and JR and I guarantee you will have the same experience that I did, Thanks guys I really appreciate everything you have all done. I loved the ease of meeting with a representative from A Tech Easy Living Store and discussing the products available. I also loved the ease of getting our central vacuum and security system roughed in and scheduled quickly. Everything done within a week and a half!What I found less than satisfactory was having our central vacuum and security system installed. I called our rep to say that we wanted to go ahead with installation. I told him everything we wanted and was told that their scheduler would call me. I didnt hear from the scheduler for a week and at that time I called her. That was disappointing and there was never any apology from her regarding my having to call her. (This ultimately made installation take two weeks instead of one).The installers came when requested and the central vacuum was installed exactly as expected. The security system seemed to be installed but we were left no documentation as to how to use it. The installers came Tuesday morning and I waited until Thursday and then called our rep (I waited hoping someone would call me). Our rep had to talk to a couple of people but then called me back to let me know that the installers thought we were hooking up the system to a phone line and since we didnt have a phone line they didnt do the entire installation. I can handle confusion, what I cant handle is not informing me of this issue. Two days after installation and no one bothered to call and inquire about this? Really. I told our rep what we wanted (the same as we had requested before - no hook up to our nonexistent phone line). He told me that the scheduler would call me to set up a time to go over the system. I told him of the issue that we had had previously and he told me she sat just behind him and that she would call me soon.When I hadnt heard from her in over 24 hours, I called our rep again and he said that she was out of the office that shed call me Monday.Instead, I was called late afternoon on Tuesday. Was asked if the installer could come the following day. The answer was no. I was told that installers can only come between 8-9am, lunch time, and the latest is 3pm. She inquired after having lunch time work, in which I said no that my husband and I both work and the response from her was, Well, cant you come home for lunch? This was snippy and rude in my mind. We finally found a time that wouldnt cause my husband or I to have to miss a half day of work - which ultimately was good because the installer only had to be here for 15 minutes to finish installing the system and give me the instruction booklet which we would have appreciated the first time that they came.I love the products just am VERY ill-impressed with the scheduling and customer service from the scheduling department.

Todd did an awesome job getting all the components into our basement home theater system that my techy husband wanted plus making it easy for me to run with only one remote. We are very happy! The guys that came to install the systems were polite and patient with me and took time to explain how to work it all!

A Tech replaced our old intercom system with a new intercom & sonos system. While music sounded suberb, the intercom just didnt work right. Everyone was baffled, yet A Tech was tenacious at digging into the problem. Bill Corwin developed a game plan, and the Jerry the service guy worked through each solution until finally, everyone worked perfectly. A Tech relentlessly stands behind their systems. Kudos to a great customer experience.

I have hard wood floors and Beam has a attachment I bought it at the store and it is a God send I simply love it, it is a dry mop on the vac! Amazing! Im buying a spare mop when I go back! I bought my vac at Van Berkums in Pella (Where I live) never will I go back there, they sent my head out for as a loaner and gave me some one elses. How is that for doing business! We argued for a long time about this and was getting no where she kept saying that it was my head, I will never go back there to buy anything! Im 60 minutes from Des Moines and I will take my vac to be serviced at the Easy Living Store anytime!

They pre-plumbed my house for Central Vacuum and when i went to have the basement finished, the plumbing fittings were falling apart. They did not glue several of the fittings. When i contacted them they wanted to charge me to come fix it. They claimed to have a lifetime warranty on their vacuum installation/ pre-plumb but wouldnt even stand behind their poor installation.
