It seems nothing will compare to Winco. That being said, HyVee is good so far. Sale prices are pretty nice qnd once we figure out how to the the gas points to work im sure that will be good too

Hy-Vee stores vary a lot. This one usually has good prices and variety. Their meat selection is good. Check out the wine store. Their sales are awesome.

Went to Fareway. This store I go to often. Fresh meat counter. People are always helpful. Very friendly. Coupon friendly. One of few satires that still carry out and laid groceries. Produce is fresh. I enjoy going one time each month.

Best craft beer selection! Came for a 6 pack left with 6 - 6packs! 🤣 will be back to look for more Iowa craft beers and collaborations.

Sometimes they have really good deals and I dont have to wear a mask if I dont want to and those that do can. Also they have good choices

Really nice store and helpful employees!! Had something happen that I was unfamiliar with involving a 24 pack of soda and a bottle deposit? Dont have that at home but this really nice employee explained it all to me!

Unfortunately, I didnt go inside. However, my mother, from Texas, did. And she loved it. She said it had everything she could have wanted or asked for. An example, she passed the section with ham and everything was laid out neatly and organized for presentation. What I was able to see was a large verity of goods that one can look through. From groceries to medical products to plants and outdoor decorations. Really enjoyed this location and highly recommend it to anyone. Keep up the good work🙂👍.

Nice store. They need to step up their game. The belt and counter at the checkout register was in serious need of cleaning definitely not being disinfected between customers. Also the bathroom at the front of the store near the pharmacy needed cleaning also the toilet lid was loose and hanging off to one side not cool. The liquor area was very well stocked.

The best grocery store ever. They moved things around recently so I have to relearn the layout. Its very clean, well lit and well stocked! There are a lot of convenient check out options to in and out quickly.A couple gripes, first: there are a few too many online shoppers that get in the way with their enormous carts.Second: being that its such a great store the traffic can be very heavy. Must be very careful backing out of parking spots and driving around the lot.

Had a great shopping experience. Shout out to Kyle at the Meat Counter--he knew about all the different cuts of meat and how to apply them to the dish I was preparing. He was both helpful and friendly!

Lots of Beer selection! They carry so many varieties! The meat and produce areas are always up to snuff! Lots of fresh cuts and organic veggies! Not a big fan of the makeup area, seems like they shorted the fan shop!

The cashier and the sacker were very nice and very helpful

The atm was in repair but a very nice man pointed me in the direction of the gas station. And made sure I had water, since I was riding my bike. How kind and I am grateful for people like him. I got what I needed with no issue.

I only needed a few things but I got in, found them quickly and got back out in no more than 10 minutes. Store looks well cleaned and staff was pleasant.

Nice Store. Lots of choices. Food prices are high at this Hy-Vee. The reason is probably because their about the only Grocery in Pleasant Hill.

Above average prices for above average selection. Watch out for the deep discounts - the products are often expired. In fact, Ive purchased more expired sale product here than anywhere else.

Its HyVee they have a lil bit of everything fresh produce to hand cut meats, imported cheeses, hot counter, dry and frozen goods.

I bought flowers here to be delivered and they never delivered it. I asked for my refund multiple times. Per last conversation they told me manager tried to call me to get my card info which never happened. Also I was told I would get my refund in couple days, it has been almost a week now. I refund to go here again, I would never buy anything here. They lie, cheat and steal from you!

Great bakery, cheese selection, etc. The cinnamon rolls are one of my favorites.

Great organized store holding the excellent Hy-Vee model. Though this location is in a different State than where I live (MO), I knew right where the items I needed where.

I like the size of the store and the fresh selections this Hy Vee has. I wouldve given 5 stars but their baby food wall has significantly decreased in the past month. That was my favorite aspect of this store because they had a huge wall with a great selection of different types and brands of baby food but now it has been cut down to a 3 feet long section from a 9 foot section. All Hy Vee prices are high compared to Fareway but the produce section of this Hy Vee is always fresh with a great selection!

Jim B the manager is so incredibly disrespectful and offensive. This is definitely not any body that should be managing anyone. Hes NOT the type of person to represent your establishment properly. I was so offended by his comments he made towards me while assisting me. This is either Hy-Vees fault or his parents just clearly didn’t raise him right!!!

Shout out to Sajid and Harmony at the Urbandale IA HyVee tonight! When I asked the cashier for $110 on a HyVee gift card tonight I paid with $110 cash. Did not notice until home that it had been rung up as $100.10. My bad for not noticing immediately. I expected to wait for the cashiers drawer to be counted down. Sajid made it right when I returned with my gift card, receipt and activation slip. They will know tomorrow if the cashiers drawer is $9.90 long (which it will be). Thanks HyVee for empowering your managers to right the wrong without delay!

Great store, but take note that the freezer section is off to the side rather than a couple regular aisles.

Hy-Vees always been a pretty big part of my life. There is a HyVee in a lot of towns that Ive lived in. I like them

Generally overpriced. One of the staff was visibly irritated when I asked for help.

Took forever to find the diced olives but the staff were super helpful in finally locating them. Lots of artisanal food choices but I always feel overwhelmed in the store as it is just so big.

Hy-Vee dont pay their employees enough. Their wages are at poverty level. Despite this, the employees work very hard and provide terrific service.

Poor hours for can redemption. The hours were open until 8 PM and now you cut the hours back making harder for people that work late.

Its been my grocery store since returning to Des Moines several years ago. Very good fresh meat and fish counters. Deli/cheese and bakery offer many items. Clean and staff will walk you to where your item is if asked. I am not fond of the online shopping carts blocking aisles..I have to think online shopping could be done in slower hours rather than peak time and not have to do many orders at the same time. I am sure they can or will figure it out.

Online order pickup was awful. Received rotten produce, and was missing items of my order that i was charged for.

Good food. Sometimes, a bit high prices, but I cant argue with the quality

Went to the pharmacy to get my meds and one of them you can buy in the store but its not the same so because she just assumed I wanted the one in the store she didnt fill my prescription and when I told her i would just pay for it she got upset and said their all the same and it doesnt make since then walked away its my choice I will not fill any more prescriptions their

Even when this Hy-Vee looks packed from the parking lot, it feels a little busy inside but not packed. There are still a large number of human run registers, yay. The garden center is the best around.

Great place to shop... Prices were reasonable and employees were nice... It just was such a big place you can get overwhelmed...

Patric in the deli went above and beyond to help my wife and I, as well as others. The customer service was exceptional! You dont come by that kind of customer service every day. Thank you patric, you made our hyvee experience most excellent.

Best Hy-Vee. There are 2 hy-vees closer but I go to this one because of the variety cleanliness and fantastic service

They normally have everything that we need that we cant get at the warehouse club we go to. I do enjoy the clean facilities where we return bottles and cans to. I also appreciate that this isnt one of those stores that has 47 cash registers and only a few operating.

Today I waited 45 minutes to receive my order. After the long wait I only received 2 bags out of a $300 order. When I asked the employee where the rest of the order is he told me he thought that was everything; WRONG!! I then talked to another staff member who told me they COULD NOT FIND THE ORDER. Later I called to talk to a manager and was only told that they would find my order and have it Door Dashed by the end of the night. Fortunately I don’t have any where to be tonight but so frustrating.This is NOT the first time something like this has happened to me at this HyVee. In the last 2 months I have received 2 INCORRECT AND/OR SOMEONE ELSE’S ORDERS AND had another 2 orders “LOST”. After telling the manager my dissatisfaction and want to shop else where all he said was “Oh Sorry but we will get this order to you at some point.”I would give 0 stars if that were an option. I have never had such poor customer service nor disappointment of services received.

Hy-Vee is my favorite grocery store. Of course, grocery has to be in quotes because Hy-Vee does EVERYTHING. They have all the typical groceries, essentials, a health market, beer/wine/liquor, meat/seafood counter, bakery, full-service kitchen, THE BEST CHINESE FOOD, pizza, etc.AND the staff at Hy-Vee is always friendly. Must be a big emphasis during onboarding and I love it. I like to consider Hy-Vee a hobby because it is quite easy to walk around and spend an hour or two there.

Clean and great people work hear friendly always help when you ask.
