Good donuts for a good price like always. Fresh made donuts are a rarity considering other donut shops like to have very dry, premade donuts that they thaw out in shop every day but Shipleys is always fresh, delicious and the staff is very nice. Id also much rather support a small business than a national chain because I like supporting the local economy anyway I can. I suggest you do the same.

Lots of coffees makes morning run worth the trip. Very polite staff.

The donuts were delicious but just a little stale. To be fair, we visited the place at 5pm. One hour before they close for the evening. The place needs to be cleaned up a little and needs a little update. Other then that, you will find all types of beverages, pastries and Coffee!!

Very quick service and always helpful when trying to decide which do-nuts to get. Also, you cant go wrong with any of their kolaches, but our favorite is the ham and cheese.

Nothing but a few ham and cheese kolaches available when i came. this was during/after the ice storm so i will attempt a second visit to see how this location goes. four stars solely for being one of the few places open during /after the storm.

Meh. Lackluster, slow service with a frown. Went on national donut day, was not offered the free glazed donut mentioned on the door. The chocolate iced donut had a weird off-flavor. This is not the first negative experience Ive had here. Wont be going back.

There’s two issues with this location and it’s not the product itself. The donuts and kolache are typically fresh and warm. However...Pay attention to the total, it’ll most likely be more then what is posted. This morning, like in the past I was shorted $1. I’m always shorted $1 and I find it so bizarre.When ordering a half dozen or dozen donuts, ask for a larger box to lay flat. Otherwise they will cram all the donuts in the smallest box possible. What’s the point in ordering a variety if they’re all smashed together?

Great donuts and kolaches! My only pet peeve is that the worker who helped me this morning kept touching her face mask and even took it off (lowered it, uncovering her nose and mouth). When I pulled up to the drive-through window, the ladys facemask was not covering her nose. As she took my order, she kept touching her face mask (which again was not protecting her nose). Then as she was repeating my order, she pulled her face mask entirely down where her nose and mouth were left uncovered. My only suggestion would be to ensure that the workers face mask is worn correctly over the nose and mouth to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

I went to Shipleys on Pat Booker Rd in Universal City on 2/21/2021 at 8:00am. The gentleman that was handling the cooked donuts was not wearing gloves. He would move the donuts from one tray to another then text on his phone and then continue working. No gloves no hand washing. This is very serious especially during this pandemic. I skipped the donuts from this place this morning.

Small donut shop, great selection.Super fresh donuts, kolaches, bear claws, long johns and donut holes.We went in on Black Friday am at about 830ish.It was great to see the people working interact with customers.Seeing a little 4 year old girl having a full experience with her pink frosted donut was a nice reminder of the enjoyment donuts.

Bought kolaches and donuts. Delish! They made one mistake but corrected it without an issue.

The cashiers here do not understand what NO HAM KOLACHES mean. We have gone twice and ask for a dozen of mixed sausage KOLACHES and still get HAM KOLACHES in our order. You call and complain and they laugh at you. If I could give them zero stars I would. Very disrespectful!

Shipleys donuts are normally amazing. But the store on Pat Booker has got some serious issues. Tried to give this location multiple chance, but this last experience was it for me. One, you can barely understand the people working at this store. Nothing against people from other countries, but if you are going to be servicing Americans, you might want to hire some folks that speak understandable English. My largest complaint is that when you order donuts and are told that everything you wanted, they are out of, there is simply no excuse for this. Especially at 10 A.M. in the morning! This store needs to get their act together. Will not be going back. Plenty of other do nut shops out there.08-19-18 Ok just gave them another chance. Big sign out front reads Under new management. So we were hoping the issues that caused us to stop going here may have been resolved. Uh...NO. Hey management, whoever you new managers are, this store has the same, exact issues that I spoke about a year ago. Here goes....Again, the same ladies who didnt speak English a year ago...surprise, surprise, they still dont speak it. Well, except for Sorry we dont have...and the only reason they speak that one phrase so well is because they say it so often. How do you run out of the same donuts every single blessed time?? Someone in charge, get into that store and inform your employees Hey, if you keep running out of a particular donut...MAKE MORE!!

Hello there pretty much every day about 6:15 my service has never changed the girls always been very sweet very friendly really enjoy going there hope everybody else does too

The girl at the the front had no idea what she was doing. We told her like 8 times that we wanted a dozen in a box, she continued to place them in individual bags...no box. She stopped us mid order to help another customer. Just very inexperienced. The only extra star is for the taste of the donut, but the service sucked. We wont be returning.

So I ordered 20 donuts this morning and got cheated out!!!! They charged me per donut because each box did not complete a dozen but yet they have it in there menu MIXED DONUTS 7.99 DZ!!! That Asian/Chinese looking chick could have charged me one dozen and than 8 individually. But Nope! Because I had 10 of one kind in one box and 10 in the other, she had to charge me individually!!!! Faults Advertisements!

They have attitude problems when you go through the drive through. I got a stale apple fritter, when I told the girl working there, she said you have to warm it up... ? Never had to warm up a donut when buying it supposedly fresh.

The donuts were just so-so, and the service was not really that good... But beyond that they double charged my card, and when I went in to tell them about it the next weekend, I was very disappointed in the way that they handled it. I ended up leaving unsatisfied and supposedly the owner will call me back at some unspecified time next week... It was just $5... donuts... The simplest thing would have been to just apologize and give me some donuts at no cost, which I would have been happy to accept, but that didnt happen, instead I had three ladies looking at me uncomfortably and making the entire situation feel very awkward...

Under new mgmt. They are a LOT better than the last mgmt . Hes friendly, visits & yet is professional at all times. I didnt give 5 ☆s cuz they do need to work on their staffing. I placed a simple order. She messed up & double charged me. Ok simple mistake. Fixed! Then I get home, one of my 2 items missing. I was not pleased, I had to walk all the way back over there for said item. No apologies, no extra, nothing for my inconvenience. So now, even if it holds up the line, I always check my order.

The donuts were pretty tasty and the kolaches were also warm the coffee is ok but not the best. The service was absolutely great but the only problem was that the parking and the location as I had a hard time exiting but that isnt a major issue.

Something changed, Kolahes were dry and didnt seem to rise. Donuts were also flat and failed to rise. Almost like they changed the recipes. Hope not but seems like it. Nothing close to Shipleys.

Its an okay place as far as the owners go there so many choices nowadays that theyre all about the same so just pick one and go to it service is okay here dont answer so so nothing fancy just typical Donuts theres some places in San Antonio they have really fancy Donuts thats kind of fun to go to so pick one and enjoy

Repeat customer. Disproportionate and seemingly premade taste. Amount of Creme/Jelly filling was dissapointing. Not fresh tasting.

I always buy the Plain Cake donuts both plain and blue berry. This vendor keep making them small as donuts holes! I keep asking to make them the correct way the way all the other Shipleys makes them and he refuses to make them the standard way. I called Shipleys already and for a short time he make them the normal size but, went back to the donut hole size again. I got to another Shipleys in Shirtz Tx. to get them the correct size.

They serve donuts and warm kolaches, simple enough. Got what I payed for :)
