This shop has tons of great merch, a friendly staff, and a wonderful welcoming atmosphere! I will definitely be back. Their collection of retro games is amazing. I cant wait to get more stuff for my old Sega Genesis console.The staff is also super knowledgeable, theyre really great. They can do repairs too! Seriously this place is above and beyond the competition.

I give these guys 5 stars. I broke the USB port on my akai mpk 261 midi controller piano. Then I attempted to fix it my self. Which in turn did further damage to the inside of my circuit board. GATEWAY GAMES repaired the damage which was (as I said) tedious strenuous work involving the rewiring and sodering of wires which are smaller than 13 microns in circumference. If you need circuit board repair I encourage anyone to trust these guys with your equipment they did a great job. Not only that it was done I a timely fashion. So 2 thumbs up and 5 stars to GATEWAY GAMES THANKS AGAIN GUYS!!!

They have, or can get nearly anything youre looking for that is even remotely related to gaming. from new age to early retro products, they are truly a gamers 1 stop shop. its great to know I can buy from a local shop, rather than a corporate location. I get better prices, trade rates, and all around service. the employees are very pleasant and know their stuff about the whole field. I would gladly recommend them to anyone looking for video game products, or memorabilia.

Always such a great place to go! Wide variety of games and garb and almost all things game related!! They’re always so helpful and informative and more than willing to show you how a product works (even if you’re interested in a game and they have a used game to show you with they will!) they even have super good prices of games from classic game systems!

So we took a broken x box 1 in to be fixed and they exactly what was wrong with it. The x box was fixed and ready to go in only a few days. The nice men that work there also called a few days after we picked it up to make sure it was working good still. I would totally recommend them.

I broke my iPhone XS today and was panicking Fortunately, I saw one of the advertisements I called them and they were able to fit me in today and had it repaired within an hour! Really reliable fast and knowledgeable staff strongly recommend!

Well stocked and friendly, they usually have lots of little weird adapters and things you might need for a console or PC that loads of other stores wouldnt keep in stock. Knowledgeable staff as well, if you have a specific question they go out of their way to make sure its answered right.

These guys are great. They have a great selection of games both new and retro, they do repairs, and their staff is quite knowledgeable. I can not reccomend this place enough, very friendly and their stock it seems is ever changing, but always had a good selection of the basics!

I recently went to Gateway Games looking for a 2 terabyte hard drive for my pc. The employee was very helpful and took plenty of time to make sure i purchased the right hard drive.Also while I was at the store I was able to find a controller charging dock for my ps4 controllers that I have been wanting for awhile.My whole experience at the store was great and I can not wait to go back to Gateway Games for my other video game needs!!My personal rating is 10/10!

Way better than gamestop ever was or could think of being. I come here exclusively for all the retro games, the memorobilia and the general atmosphere. After working all week my beloved OG Xbox1 wouldn’t power on. How sad. I came into gateway games and was assisted by a man named Garett, he offered multiple avenues of solution to help me fix my issue without overspending. Got what I needed and boom my Xbox lives again. Garett took the time to make sure I was comfortable with what i was buying.Garret is also very knowledgeable about some questions I had about my Xbox original. Extremely helpful guy. A while ago, I came in to buy a headset. Before coming in, I called (I live a ways away from the store) to confirm that they had what I WANTED. A USB headset, that works for Xbox. An employee told me that they had it. I drove all the way to the store, bought the headset, returned home, and discovered that it was a 3.5mm headset, not USB, like I was told that I was purchasing.I quickly called back and told them this was not the product that they assured me that it was. I asked if there was anything that they could do for me because I was super disappointed that I was either lied to, or the employee didn’t care about the needs of the customer. The owner told me that he could not refund or exchange it. He did tell me how to make the headset that I did buy, work; but I did not want this type of connector in the first place. He told me that his employee did NOT tell me that it was a USB headset.(Customer is always wrong right?) He then proceeded to tell me that it is my own fault if I don’t know how to work my Xbox. I left a review at the time, and he responded, in short,‘The conversation upset me at the time because you were practically yelling at me even though I was providing you with the proper information that you were requesting and you were making claims of promises that my staff denied.’The employee not only lied to the me (the customer) about the product, but also to his boss about the way that our conversation went.I did get irritated, but not until after I was told that there was nothing that could be done to exchange my product, and that the headset works for my situation. I was telling him that it didn’t work for MY situation, because I didn’t want a 3.5mm headset.Flash forward to today. I walk in to buy a switch for my girlfriend. We spend some time in there looking for some games, some accessories and just having a good time. After a while, we had everything that we wanted, so we went to the counter. The gentleman at the counter had been helping us the whole time, and didn’t mention that I couldn’t buy anything, because I was banned, until the very end of our visit. This made me livid. I feel that I shouldn’t have been banned for being upset that I didn’t get my proper product, in the first place.I’ve lived here my whole life, and I’ve never had any issues with a business owner before.

I bought a headset from here. It didn’t function as I was told that it would; Or so I thought. (It was a 3.5m jack when I was told that it would be a USB over the phone. I live slightly out of town so I call to make sure places have what I need before wasting time and gas.) I did some research and found a forum online that said the 3.5m jack doesn’t support stereo while ALSO supporting a microphone. I called back asking about a refund or an exchange, since an employee sold me the wrong product in the first place. The owner answered and said that his employee never said that it was a USB headset. He said there are no refunds. I asked, ‘Sir, if you’re the owner, then why can’t you return of exchange my product? One of your employees gave me his word that it was the correct one.’ His response seemed prompted by a lack of experience in owning a business, or customer service. I told him about the forum and he snarked and said ‘I use the same headset in my living room every night.I don’t care what your forum says. If you can’t figure it out, that’s your fault.’15 minutes later I found a very obscure auditory setting that allows the use of both stereo, and a microphone. The owner was correct that the microphone works, but the way that he interacted with me, as a customer, made me not want to come here again. (Be your own judge, but customer service did not seem to be any kind of a deal here.)

Repaired my controller, gave me a great trade value on games I no longer played. They have all the old vintage systems and plenty of games for them. Way better then going to GameStop.

If you are at all a gamer nerd, you will feel safe and pleasant here. The staff are just as nerdy and passionate as you are, the aisles are wide enough for baby strollers, theres the new and the nostalgia, and pricing is competitive with the big boy, Game Stop. Ive been to the store a few times, and each time, I leave with either a product, or I learn something, which is just as good :D I needed to return an unopened, used product, showed my receipt, and I have store credit for as long as it takes for Half-life 3 to release. Huzzah!

Just stopped in today and literally spent most of my time saying this is awesome. They have a huge variety of games, systems, and peripherals. You will find pretty much anything from the last thirty years. They even offered to replace the save battery on my very loved Gameboy Pokemon Silver cartridge for a reasonable price.

The store had many video games that are older than the games at Game Stop and walking inside there I got a lot of nastolgia looking at games I used to love to play. Their video games and merchandise there are really cool and I had a lot of fun looking around with a few of my friends.

This place is AWSOME, I personally prefer this local game store over GameStop any day, they price match other stores and have a great variety of game consoles and games. Very friendly employes. Great experience.

Helpful and friendly staff. This place is like walking into a time capsule! The greatest collection I have seen in a long time. Old vintage games galore! They also have new video games. Fantastic Local store in Ukiah, People working here clearly care about what they sell and the community. Great selection of classic games (gba, ds, etc) and new games. Even found a Ps4 pro in 2020 here as well as a copy of soul silver for ds.

Walked into this store expecting it to be better or at least the same as the Lakeport one, alright selection but the biggest complaint was the worker working there. So unenthusiastic about his job and didn’t seem knowledgeable at all about video games. In short, you’re better off going to the Lakeport location for a better experience

Went in to see this stores selection of used 3ds systems and was shocked by how exorbitant the prices were both compared to the Lakeport store and Nintendos refurbished offerings. The 2ds and new 3ds xl models were all ~$20-$30 above what Nintendo sells the same refurbished systems for, and they were in far worse condition than Id expect from an equivalent Nintendo refurb system. The guy at the counter was also rather pushy, trying to get me to buy a used switch for only $20 less than the systems original msrp, which wasnt what I came in for in the first place.The Ukiah store is a far cry from the Lakeport store.
