As a black covfefe drinker the single origin brew ticked my boxes. A flavorful Kalita Wave pour over of the Rawanda single origin light roast. The “third wave” feel of a place has a smattering of breaddy breakfast treats and some fuller breakfast items to boot. Spacious indoor seating with outlets along the wall and plentious outdoor seating. Ukiah is a neat little town.

Great coffee and the vegetarian burritos were fantastic. Loved the cup carrier design.

Just came in here with my brother, both of us really needing a bathroom and a long drive pick-me-up. The drip coffee was fast and tasty and the two employees there tonight were absolute champs. They were polite and calm even though we rushed in 5 minutes before they closed, engaged in coffee convo steering us to 3 great choices, and took excellent care of us in the baked goods area (super tasty treats). Ive been here several times before and its always good, Im just not really a review guy, but someones gotta shout out those two employees tonight. Thank you very much, you made our day.

Very interesting flavours! I got the bee pollen latte, while my boyfriend got the lavender latte. Both were good 👍 this place has outdoor seating as well as indoor.

I use the Black Oak Coffee subscription service and love it! All the coffee I get is delicious, which is probably most important. I also really enjoy the coffee info card that they send each month along with the coffee. It is fun to read about where the coffee is sourced from, flavor profiles, fun facts, and brewing tips. The extra info really helps add to the coffee experience and I love it. It really takes me away to a far off place when I am a grumpy Guss first thing in the morning.

Stopped here for a coffee and snack on a road trip and very glad we picked this place. The mushroom breakfast sandwich and bacon breakfast burrito were delicious, the americano was excellent and the service was wonderful. Definitely will be coming back when we are in town.

I had their lavender latte and it was like a dream. There was even lavender as garnish! The breakfast burrito was delicious as well. I would highly recommend this beautiful coffee shop.

I get the coffee delivered to me in their coffee club. I love the ever-changing selections of light roast and the black Bart when I want something a bit darker.When I visit, I usually just order a drip coffee or iced tea but the espresso drinks look delicious!

Glad I found this wonderful place while taking a coffee break while traveling down the 101!The elder flower iced tea was so refreshing and the blended dirty chai latte was flavorful and delicious! I also couldnt help but to grab a jam biscuit and Im so glad I did! It was such an amazing balance of buttery biscuit and tangy fresh jam.Definitely stop by if you get the chance, you wont regret it!

This is a local gem. The coffee at black oak is always fresh and roasted on site. The coffee shop has a good selection of coffees and lattes. They have a few organic and veggie options but you come here for their coffee. I would recommend the Lovers Lane Coffee

Easy to get to, big parking lot on the side, nice coffee and friendly staff. The mocha was good, tasted like actual coffee and not just sugary brown syrup. Yay for Ukiah and decent coffee!

Best coffee ever !!! I’m not from the area but have seen there coffee for sale at Oliver’s Market in Windsor many times. Today I drove up to Ukiah to help my boyfriends brother at his business Scootrz Deli and he told me that I must stop buy and try the best coffee ever OMG !!! It’s truly amazing and so is the jam biscuit I only wished I lived closer I’d be here everyday!!!! 😀

This is one of the best coffee shops Ive been to anywhere. The oatmeal bar is amazing. I want to find a recipe. Their coffee and espresso competes with many other top notch roasters Ive tasted.I came here during the holidays to buy a gift. I was considering buying a cheap espresso machine for a gift and Im so glad they talked me into getting an aero press instead. They packaged everything up in a box and service was very friendly and helpful. I buy my beans here now.

They seemed to have lost their A team! After 5 bad coffees I wont be back!! The breakfast burrito was half the size they used to be and super tough and rubbery! When I brought my experience to the person at the register they just laughed it off. So sad used to be one of my favorites! Hope they can get back in their groove.

Best coffee place in town! It really is my favorite place to sit and just enjoy the coffee and people watch. The baristas and employees are so friendly and their Instagram page has such great photography.

Good coffee nice atmosphere.

Purchased beans from them before and the coffee is good. Wont ever return to the store however. They will only sell pour over in a 12oz so had to get Americana to get anything larger. Coffee was so hot I couldnt even grab it through the slave without burning my hand. Tried to grab it by the lid... they gave me the wrong size lid, was completely loose on the cup, spilled everywhere. Ordered a breakfast burrito that was absolutelly horrible. Had bettet food at McDonalds. Burrito tasted like it was microwaved. Tortilla wasnt grilled but was dried out, stale, and crunchy, was served flattened out, and tge eggs tastes slimy like they were powdered. Very very disappointing

This place is deservedly very busy, with its friendly staff, inviting atmosphere, wonderful selection of teas and, of course, its terrific in-house roasted coffee. I opted for a nice hot cup of Earl Gray - it was wet and chilly outside - with a delicious muffin on the side and it was like the weather instantly improved! Much recommended.

What a fantastic spot to recharge and relax. Great coffee, pastries, and boy, was my croissant superb. Bathrooms were super clean and the staff were so professional and friendly. Stay for the local fashion show if you like people watching :)

Stopped here for the first time. We got a large dark roast and a large hot chocolate. The coffee was good. The hot chocolate wasnt as sweet as hot chocolate usually is. Try it. Youll like it. We did. Got a sticky bun and a plain croissant. Both were more like butter-infused bread rolls, solid but flavorful. Just dont expect light and flaky. Would come back.

All about the coffee. Black Oak was open early, had a super inviting dining room, gracious and helpful staff, and wonderful fresh brew. What more could you want on an early morning while on the road? Their selection of baked goods was seductive and the sticky bun I selected was perfect. Refills cost .50 and the music was great. Will be back when in Ukiah.

This Place is the BombI was driving home from Eureka, and wanted good coffee and a snack. The place is easy to find, and the staff is really friendly. I had a cup of their house coffee, and a muffin from The Criminal Baking company in Santa Rosa. They make great drinks. Go check it out!

AMAZING local roaster!!

My first time here. The place was packed (good sign) and had a decently long line. How ever they were quick and I didnt wait long. My peppermint mocha was good. Will be coming back!

Traveling through Ukiah for business 2 wks ago & read great reviews so I decided to try a white mocha. Was looking to experience & enjoy a quick little haven in a cup but disappointed when my overpriced $7.50 mocha came. It looked nothing like what i had seen in other reviews. It tasted old, burnt & not even hot. Quite unimpressive!!! Sigh... Could have easily gone to McDs & spent half the $ but wanted to explore a bit.... Next time will give it back but was in a hurry that day, had a 3 hr drive back to Roseville.Looked nothing like what was pictured on other reviews. May give this place a 2nd chance in the future. Hopefully the unfriendly unwelcoming woman who was helping/serving me will give more effort & have a little enthusiasm & uplifting like at Dutch Bros.

Ordered a white chocolate mocha. Tasted like old, burnt coffee.Heard great things about how good this coffee shop was. I must of missed it during my visit.Will not be returning or recommending this place

I love this place because of how delicious their food is and how delicious their coffee is. I get the quiche quite often as well as their blueberry and cream cheese muffin. Both are excellent and quite inexpensive. And if you pair it with delicious coffee beverage you will be starting your day off like so many other Americans and people worldwide you will be part of the morning coffee and muffin club and this is something youll be able to share with your co-workers and loved ones

Im a coffee snob. I mostly drink espresso, but mix it up every once in a while. This place has the best coffee Ive had in the last two weeks exploring wine country and the coast north of SF. It reminds me a lot of Heart Roasting in Portland. Great decor, good snacks and fantastic espresso. If you want to go to a place in which artists apply science to serving the best coffee they can, look no further.

Im always impressed with coffee shops that roast on the premises. We go there a lot and the single origin pour overs are excellent. Great staff and a friendly interior.

Coffee Connoisseurs!! You know who you are. Where Starbucks is the Mc Donalds of coffee. An 8oz Latte brewed to perfection, served in a porcelain cup, decorated with Latte Art. Then the flavor of their own roast. Rich and nutty with no acidity. Perfectly Balanced.

Today I had an amazing cappuccino...I am Italian and for me is always extremely hard to find a cappuccino the way that I know it from my country.In Black Oak today, I fund it.Not extremely dark and bitter but the perfect balance between coffe and milk, not foamy and boiling but creamy and warm...Was delicious and perfect. I wish I knew the name of the guy who made it..I just thanked him....Thank you again!

Very nice place. Open, plenty of seats, plenty of staff working, easy to read menu, lots of options, good music, and the cup sizes are listed in straightforward imperial units.

Loving going there for the vanilla lattes and the cold brew coffee is awesome, nice and friendly staff real pleasure to talk to really quiet environment!

The coffee is great and usually everyone is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Today a woman was ordering and asked some questions about the coffee. The female taking the orders didnt seem to be able to answer and snapped at the woman. I thought it seemed very rude and because the employee couldnt answer the question she felt embarrassed or angry. If shes there next time I come in Ill just turn around. I dont want to be put in the same situation.

I really liked this place the coffee is good. Unfortunately we ordered food and the forgot about our order. We waited for a while, went up to the counter was told the food was coming still no joy. Not happy with the food part of this establishment.

The dark roast here is bomb-diggity.Made my top 3 list; most micro-roasters these days have a strong light and medium roast showing but Black Oak shines on the dark side.

The staff, the coffee, the mood in the room is awesome! I come to black oak quite regularly since I moved to Ukiah 3 weeks ago. I am very pleased by everything about this place. Its a sort of home away from home. I am from Seattle and its to get a little seattle coffee vibe feel like back home. It reminds me of the early days of Starbucks in the Pike Place Market.All they need is live musicians on the front stoop and boom! Im home:)
