When Home Depot first opened in Ukiah, their staff was trained and placed in a specific department. I found them knowledgeable and helpful. Things have changed. Most of the time, I have to search for someone (search being the optimum verb). Sometimes I can find someone. Most of the time I think they run and hide from me!There are a few that will ASK if you need assistance. The young man in the paint department is helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. The checkers up front are very nice and helpful.

Great store, but if you need help finding something, good luck finding a employee that knows where something is.

Ive had a great experience every time that I shopped here for supplies. Great selection with equally great prices and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

I went in looking for blinds for my sliding glass door and the people in customer service paged someone to help us but they didnt show up after 25 minutes so we went to Friedman brothers and they came right over to help.

Called and asked if they had outdoor furniture covers before driving an hour plus and they had zip....nada. Not happy. However there was an older woman clerk in the garden section that was very helpful. The three previous clerks were...well they need training.

Good store for hand tools with a really good assortment of those battery powered. Nearly all the major brands. Electrical components needed for house wiring is very limited. Friendly courteous staff, returns are a snap.

Buy almost anything you want and has the biggest best selection of plants than all the stores in ukiah. The wood area needs serious help. The wood is never cut to the right length. Weirdly busy inside late at night for some reason.

Had my best experience at the home depot garden section at the home depot in Ukiah. The sales associate in the garden section was very knowledgeable with the plants and took us right to the area where we found our plants. She demonstrated exceptional customer service skills and was very friendly. What a difference between this home depot garden section and the one in Windsor where the sales associate demonstrated a total lack of knowledge pertaining to plants and could care less.

This is a good home depot. The more the staff member knows what they are talking about, the more polite of service you receive.

We dropped almost $10K at the Ukiah Home Depot this week and we couldn’t even get one person, out of the at least 10 employees standing around doing nothing, to come out and help us load the 80 bags of mulch or thousands of dollars in lumber. They don’t even have any delivery trucks available to pay to bring it to the house. We also had to wait almost 30 min for the poor guy at the paint counter to find a manager to unlock the section for the paint sprayers. Customer service has really gone downhill there. If the other home improvement stores weren’t so pricey, I’d definitely be going somewhere else. Get it together Ukiah!

I was not able to go and check the garden out but if its like it has been in the past years, I bet it looks nice and green. All you can see its flowers blooming with so many different and attractive colors. Thankx Home depot!!!!

Generally my first choice for household items and house maintenance solutions; they have vast variety of options. However my last two visits did not meet my needs. Great sale on sheets of plywood but their saw to cut sheets into needed sizes was not in operation. Huge selection of light bulbs but today they did not have a popular wattage I needed. Maybe it would be better to call them before giving them a visit.

Couldnt find a employee anywhere. Then when we finally found a employee she didnt speak a bit of English. We looked for a employee for 15 minutes. So I went up front to the store to ask an employee if they could call someone to help us and the employee called someone to help us and nobody showed up to help us. Terrible!!

Very clean and organized, the price is fair most of the time, the only problem is, they are kind of understaffed, so if you need some help, sometimes you have to wait for a while. And during holiday, or any big sale event, its getting worse and its extremely hard to get a service done. However, I know my way around here, and the return is usually problem free, so I still give them 4 stars.

I live about 100 miles from the Ukiah California Home Depot so I was trying to be sure they have the product I needed before I drove 200 miles. I called quite a few times to get a hold of the lumber department and I’m just put on hold after I asked for the lumber department. I’m hoping this may put a stop to it I don’t know but there is terrible customer service at Home Depot in Ukiah, California.

Today Kelley has been an amazing help finding from post cement mix to electric connections. Very friendly and upbeat personality. Definitely made today an easy shopping day. Thank you KELLEY

Needed one small but important item. Had 15 minutes inside the store to get it. No lines at checkout, parking lot with few cats, seemed possible. I was directed around the store to various places it might be, then held up at customer service waiting for someone who could tell me if it was something they stocked. Ran out of time and had to leave before finding out. The store was rather empty and all inside were masked appropriately.

Couldnt find anyone to help with heavy pavers and cashier charged the wrong price. I had to go back to the stock area to copy the SKU before she charged the correct amount.

Great customer service! I spent $1,200 on a log splitter for this winter only to get home and realize there was an internal mechanical defect (manufacturer problem). Now having an expensive, non-working piece of equipment sitting there I began to stress. Transport due to its size and drive speed restrictions is difficult so I decided to call ahead to ensure a return could be done. An associate named Mel was kind, knowledgeable, and professional and immediately reassured me the return would be handled smoothly. She proceeded to check that a matching item was available and then further informed me she was arranging with their delivery truck to not only deliver my new splitter but pick up the old one. Thank you HD and thank you Mel!

Always had a pretty decent experience there except for now purchased one room to be carpet been 3 weeks still aint done the manager in the carpet department was rude on the phone cant wait to see him face to face and that star I put needs a minus sign in front of it

Due to covid-19 cant find n95 mask in stock anywhere at any hardware store including this one... With what we all just experience hazardous air and smoke, and knowing that fire season was coming I am just blown away that they are still donating all of their masks as a tax deductible charity two hospitals... The n95 Mask has been scientifically proven by the people who own the patent on it not to be effective against virus, but on the other hand it is designed and scientifically proven to help with Wildland fire smoke... As well as dust and debris of the rest of us trying to keep this countrys economy going out building things and doing things... Home Depots fun place to shop but the logic with covid-19 pulling in 95 mask off the shelf and not making them available to US unless we pay Amazon or purchase online is really upsetting

Well, ??? Not So good. 1st: I wanted a half sheet of plywood, asked for help, no one came. Then the rep. That announced service request, moved her friends out of my sight, to continue discussing the party. 2nd: I googled the burn leaf bags, said 99 were in stock. Looked for them, then asked. Was told they are in Rohnert Park, I said I Google Ukiah. Then told they couldnt be sent to Ukiah, that I would need to order them. Funny this was available in the past? Rating for today Star. Cant believe customer service has gotten worse. I havent done credit cards in 30years! After the learning of not good experience !!!. Perhaps ?? You could post when your best staff are working ?? Would help a lot. Ive have interacted with 3 in the last 4 years.

Love this store, long as you know what your looking for and dont need much help finding it this is a fun place to shop for your DIY project needs.

What I know you lack for your house or construction

People here are so under paid that they hate their jobs. I went to the lumber section in the store and started loading plywood and not 1 single worker asked to help me. They just walk by and act like they cant see you because they hate their job. Pay attention and youll see exactly what im saying. Go there I the afternoon when the workers know their isnt as much management there and practically every person that works there doesnt want to help with literally anything. This store is diseased.

This HD location is crazy busy. Ive been to every HD from Ukiah to Monterey, this is the busiest one Ive been to. Every time I go in its hectic.That being said, calling today to get a pallet of mortor and it took over 30 minutes to talk to someone and another 25 minutes to place the order, CRAZY. By the time it was all said and done my foreman was there picking up things, which I couldnt pay by phone at the Pro Desk. I had to call Customer Service and after 15 minutes they just talked to be via Foremans cell phone.Poor Bailey and Louise picking up the slack from the Pro Desk that closed early ON A MONDAY.Besides this incident, its a solid location that seems to NORMALLY tailor to the Pros.

Almost impossible to find help in this store. Everyone always says I dont work in that area, what you mean Home Depot!! We waited for 45min in the paint department trying to get some help. Went to customer service 3 times and had them page someone, still nothing. Asked a manager for help, they said they couldnt because they were busy. So we left and went somewhere else to spend our money. The saving grace for this place is a employee named Chris and he works in flooring. He will go out of his way to help the customer. As long as you dont need any help and ok with buying over priced stuff then this is your place.

Its busy and hard to find good help searching. Some of the employees were inexperienced. But overall what you expect from a Homedepot.

Absolutely non existent customer service. Horrible. I guess they dont have to provide any support since theyre the only choice in town. Dont bother unless you know exactly what you need. Probably good for contractors, but terrible for common home projects that need a few questions answered....

Always more then what I can get and staff needs to be more knowledgeable. They do refer people to those who know products, help with projects but not fully help, there needs to be more training. Still clean store, and nice staff Home Depot is my family in Orange always. Oh and a clearer indication of who works where might be good. With my love for projects to do myself it will always be my go to. This town sends people to Fredermans (I may have spelled that wrong) management needs to change that Home Depot should be the place to go. I have been let down with how the store is going here.Today is September 19th, 2021I was had an issue with how a return was done and went into the store to get it fixed and the manager Mel was amazing I know she will have no idea how much it took for me to go I to the store but she was more then helpful and made my day just a tad better. Well more then a tad better. We shared a common person that is equally amazing who works at the last store I worked at in Oregon. I love my Orange Family wishing I could go back to work with them. Today Mel reminded me of the great experiences I have had working at home depot and the staff today was amazing for the first time in the just over a year I have lived here I was asked by 3 employees if I needed help ain the 1st 5 minutes all were very happy to stop what they were doing. Unfortunately this was the very first time I liked being at the store inspite of my fear of large amounts of people. I liked seeing the progress in staff now the later shifts need work since most seem to stand in crowds often look over and go back to talking like on the 10th when I was last in the store.MEL Thank You so much for the help today what you did was far more then helpful I wish I could do something more to show my gratitude for what you did for me today.

We went there to get our Christmas tree and it was a great experience. The guy working in the tree area ( I wish I got his name) outside was very helpful and we got the perfect tree.

I like to shop online and in store with the home depot, but I couldnt believe the disarray at the Ukiah store. The workers all looked pretty tasked out, constantly helping customers and stocking items on this aisle and that aisle and running all over the store. The employees were all nice, and courteous, and hard working. If youre looking for different organized chain link fence accessories dont go to this store. I shouldve snapped a picture, too bad I didnt because it was hard to believe. Empty accessory boxes in wrong places and some with the wrong items in the box also some with a mix of different items none of which belonging to that box. I had to piece together some metal post wood adapters because they were completely 100% not put together, every but every plate every piece had to be found. Ill drive to any other stores within 100 miles before I go back to the Ukiah store. 3 stars because the employees were in overdrive and doing good. 0 stars if it werent for the employees without a doubt

I can never find what Im looking for and never can find someone to help me without waiting 20-30 minutes. The last 3 times I was in there, I had to find someone, who then called someone else, only to tell me that wasnt their department. After all that the item I was looking for was out of stock, when the website said it was in stock. Very frustrating.

The store mixed up our pickup order so we need to go back-this is unfortunate since we love a county away. When shopping for an item I needed to get help. Turns out the bay was mis stocked and the item was somewhere else buried in the wrong spot under other merchandise.Why a 3 star then? Friendly employees! Those left handling our issues all helped the best they could and remained cheerful. Also, I appreciate their cleanliness and health enforcement during this difficult time.

I love Home Depot! In Ukiah they take the best care of their outdoor plants, garden area. Our local hardware stores dont take the care that our HD has for years! Staff are very happy and friendly and will help cheerfully. And if they dont know they dont avoid the customers. They try to find out. It feels like a community store. And, as an older woman I always and treated with respect and just as important as the contractors who come in. Cant say that for local stores Ive seen anywhere.
