I brought in four 7.5 gallon heavy duty totes with lids and two baskets around 4pm this afternoon. These clothes were in excellent condition, many new with tags, all were brand names including Nike, under armor, justice, etc. baby up to youth sizes, absolutely no stains or signs of wear. Anything that even looked remotely used I threw in trash bags and donated.The employees kept saying that they “didn’t know if they’d have time”, except when I called last week to bring them they informed me to come before 7. That was it. So they text me around 7:30 and out everything they only wanted maybe 10 items? I was justifiably confused. She said it was because the bottom of my bins “had dirt on them.”Maybe from setting them down in the dirty parking lot? I’m not sure. They are brand new. I always liked this store because it’s affordable for those who really need it. I find it really disturbing that they would basically “throw out” some really beautiful and quality clothing for so many little girls in this community, for the sole reason that they were too lazy and simply didn’t want to do the work.10/10 wouldn’t do business here.

Fantastic Store! The employees are super helpful and friendly! I stopped in for the bodysuit sale they had this weekend, but they had great deals all around. Definitely would recommend this store to everyone!

I want to start by saying I LOVE once upon a child humble. Ive sold to them multiple times and not had an issue. HOWEVER, tyler is closer to my home. TWICE I have taken in name brand, new or barely worn clothing, freshly washed the night before, and both times have been told they cant take them. This time I brought in items purchased FROM THEM just 3 months ago that my newborn never wore. I was told age and wear, items INSIDE OUT, and dirty(WASHED LAST NIGHT). Several items were never worn, including over 40 preemie onesies and outfits. I am highly disappointed in this PARTICULAR store and their staff. I understand people are less likely to leave good reviews when they have a good experience so I decided to give them a chance regardless of the reviews, and now after wasting my whole day I will not be shopping OR selling at this location again.

Extremely unhelpful.Went back again today in order to give this place a second chance and I was not given any reason to change my mind. Waited an hour and a half for have all 5 boxes handed back to me, and found brand new, package items opened by the staff and not purchased by them. I said something to the girl about it and she just looked at me and said, “have a great day.” I took all of my items back and took them to the Salvation Army. Will not do business here ever. What a waste of time and gas.

I love this store and always have an amazing experience!! My son loves the toy section here more than he does at any other store and he always finds something he wants.. I even bought his birthday present here! They have a large variety of clothes and they are fair when I sell them my sons clothes and toys that he has outgrown. The employees here are always so helpful (especially Jasmine and Lisa) and extremely nice! Definitely recommend this store.

I shop at this location almost weekly. However, lately the staff hasn’t been the greatest. I buy some of the items in their store and don’t even wear them. When I bring them back they say they can’t take them due to age and condition, even though I just bought them at that same location less than a month before. I also bring it nwt items from the kids section in buckle and they say they can’t take them due to condition???? Have you seen some of their shoes in those bins? Gross!!! So that just confused me.Also, their time frame to check clothes in exceeds 2 hours even if you are the first in line. I brought items in at 9am with no one else ahead of me. 11am rolls around, and my items still aren’t finished. Plus, I see two other people already got their items checked out even though I was first in line. I don’t think I willBe returning to this location. Also, I tried calling today to speak with a manager for almost two hours and their phone was busy the whole time!!!!

I had some shoes to bring in that my fiance had given to sell!! But as soon as I walked into the store and told the girls what I was wanting wanting do. They turned me away saying that they couldnt take anything at the momeny!!!!

By far one of the cleanest once upon a child’s I’ve been into. Everyone is always so nice and helpful. Sometimes the amount given for stuff can be lowballed but it doesn’t bother me that much cause I’m just wanting the stuff out of my house. Because of that that’s why I’m giving this place 4 stars.

Love the store, have bought nearly every stitch of clothing for my grandson here, but went in today to bring back some of that clothing (washed, ironed and in EXCELLENT condition) to sell back to them and they wouldnt take most of it. Which is weird. Because I bought all of it there. And a few of the items she rejected was things that Sylas never even wore. Bought there. Hung in my closet. Took it back. Suddenly its not good enough for them to buy.

Wont be back.Prices on new baby gear were more expensive then Walmart. Other then being sorted by sizes everything was mixed together... Outfits, rompers, pajamas. I was looking for licensed MLB, NFL, Texas college team items, couldnt find anything in multiple sizes boy or girl. They didnt have a variety, mostly a large quanity of the same stuff. I ended up spending over 60$ on the few items I purchased only to find they dont have a rewards program of any kind.Ive shopped at many other locations through out the US and I understand they are all individually owned and operated, and they each are unique and do things differently but there should be an equal standard of quality.Ill be sure to let my friends and family know its not worth your time to stop in.

I like shopping here sometimes because of the prices. The customer service sucks here. The lady wouldn’t even give us a bag for the stuff they didn’t want but she finally did and was like “I’m not supposed to but here’s ONE bag”. Also they say they donate the clothes they don’t buy from you. I would like to know where these clothes go??? Some of the clothes in the store are not in great condition. I wish they had better employees here would make the experience here much better.

I love to bring in clothes that my kids have outgrown because I know they will offer me an honest and fair deal. If they don’t offer to buy the items, they will gladly donate them to help bless others. I also love to shop their wide variety of new and used items/sizes throughout the store as I always find something for my kids. They have everything your child could need from bows to shoes, baby items, toys, books and games. The friendly staff is helpful and courteous!

Nice little childrens store! Big inventory, however I felt the prices are pretty high for used items. I found myself frustrated that the sizes were all mixed up. Lots of 3-6 month mixed with 6-9 & they mix all 6 month with 6-9 (6 month is actually the same as 3-6).

The store is always extremely clean and organized, the staff is always very nice and helpful. They always make sure I find exactly what I need. Kids outgrow clothes so quickly so this is the best place to buy and sell my childrens clothes, shoes, toys, and equipment! I follow their Facebook and Instagram pages, and am also a loyalty rewards customer. Following them on social media has really helped me to stay informed of all upcoming sales and events! I will definitely be back. My favorite childrens store by far!

Had our first baby this year. You know it is very expensive to make sure they are well dressed. At Once Upon A Child in Tyler we did it for pennies on a dollar. Their Bodysuit Event was a life savor. 20 for $10. We racked up and have out little lady set for the next year. The staff is wonderful and prices a great. I tell everyone I know that they have to go there for the best deals.

Its a good store they have some good deals. I love getting my son books from there because theyre so cheap and in great condition. They have good toys one that I got for a great price and my son loved like crazy. The store is very clean and they have a huge variety! Selling things there you wont always get a lot but thats understandable.

TERRIBLE SERVICE... a Young woman ran in threw on an apron and never asked if I needed to be checked out. upon checkout the same young lady told me she didnt actually work there and had to habve someone else check me out. what a busisness.

For the most part, this is a great place to go and stock up on anything for the kids. It’s a clean business and has a organized layout. The staff acknowledge in greeting most of the time who comes in and are friendly and professional. However, selling is not as easy. What is thought to be good enough to sell there gets picked over and lectured about. Lightly faded accuse is the 1 and odd statement I’ve got in the past. I say that because it is after all an consignment shop. Just when I think I’ve figured out the system, I get half of what was brought back to me. Hash over a blue tub of stuff. Well my kids wore those pieces with pride! I thought they looked good! Then I make a trip to Goodwill.

First time at the store. Staff is unenthusiastic and rude to say the very least. Had me bring in a bassinet, watched me struggle to open the door and get it through, let me get it up to the counter to say they wouldnt take it due to it being recalled, did not explain when or why it happened. Purchased only a few items out of barely/never worn clothing and offered no explanation. Did not acknowledge and allowed patrons to cut in line. 0/0. Do not recommend due to extremely poor customer service.

Absolutely love this store! So many cute sets, even for little boys at a low cost. I walked in planning to buy a couple pairs of jeans and shirts for my son, and came out with ATLEAST 8 separate outfits and a really cool Johnny cash t shirt for my boy. Hands down my favorite store for shopping for my son!

They could pay a little better for the clothes we brought in about 3k in clothes and they gave us under $200 .

Today was my first time visiting. I had a $5 off coupon from Plato’s Closet and decided to pop in to sell a few items. Service was great! The young lady that helped me (Kayla I think) was super friendly and gave me the run down without being overbearing. The store itself was very well organized and clean. I got a good amount back from the items I sold so I was satisfied with that. I will definitely make this a regular shopping spot!

There is absolutely no consistency at this Tyler location! I always bring clothes with no stains or holes, sometimes they take almost all and this last time 3 things, So I pull different items out to ask why not this one, she cannot answer, Will not sell or buy here again, young staff with not adequate training and everyone just making their own random decisions.Don’t waste your time!! Horrible service!

I normally dont write reviews, but after seeing the negative ones on here I felt I had to. Ive sold items here on two separate occasions. And both times I was very pleased. The staff was friendly, I was happy with the money offered, and my order was processed in a reasonable amount of time. I also think its organized great and they have a great selection. I will definitely go back.

It is a good place to buy, but not sell. They have too many exceptions like the brand have to be a US brand (not from Europe), they don’t buy your car seat and etc. We brought items to them for sell 3 times and it was like just wasting our time. In my opinion it is much better to donate your items rather than take it here to sell. But again, it is a good place to get some stuff for your kids.

I visited this place the other day with my wife & 2 children. We absolutely loved how organized the store was and as we entered the store we were welcomed by some very nice young ladies. My wife and I had a few questions about some equipment and a young lady, can’t quite remember her name I feel terribly bad, she had glasses and said she was attending college when we were talking. Anyways, she was very polite and helped us with everything we needed. She also checked us out, and gave us so much information about the store. We will definitely be back in the future.

I absolutely love this store! My son grows so quickly and is 17 months old wearing 3t clothes. I usually never buy brand new clothes but love this store and they have new with tag stuff for gifts!

This is my favorite second hand kids store. They really make sure all the clothes are in good condition. They have lots of sale and clearance days. They trade the clothes out seasonally. Staff is friendly and they have text deals. You can also sign up and earn points. They always show their new good finds on Facebook.

I love that yall finally came to Tyler. Just went to the body suits sale today, there was a great selection of long sleeves and short sleeves. This is my favorite store to buy my newborns clothes and equipment.

So I went in there Friday to sell my stuff and they would not accept 90% of it. It was freshly laundered good condition still would not take it. Girls who work will judge you by how you look and they wont accept your clothes. I have liked to buy here but after this experience I dont think I will. Why would you want to if they are not in business to help moms out.

I absolutely adore this store! I used to live in Tyler and would go in there regularly to shop for my nieces and nephews. Now I am living in Midland Texas and expecting my first child and I still shop there! I watch their Instagram and Facebook page to see whats new that theyve posted and if it is something I am wanting I call to reserve it and have my mother go by and pick it up!

I hate going into this place. The workers make you feel like your a nobody, they act like they are better than everybody. I love the clothes they sale and seriously hate that I feel this way about going in there because it’s a nice clothing place. Another thing it saids they buy clothes and no they don’t its a lie, they act like they go through your bags, so they can get them done. I brought 3 trash bags and a box, 10 minutes later they call me and say they are done. Please tell me how one girl can go through them that fast. Than the clothes they do buy.. it’s stained and has a tiny hole in it. But they can’t buy the under armor and Nike? I’m just really tired of going back hoping for a different experience and the next one is way worse. Y’all need some new workers that care about there job!

Bad experiences every time I go into this place! Im starting to honestly believe this place of business is racially biased. Ive noticed, on more than one occasion, that the level of customer service differs for those of certain ethnicities. Even the selling process is biased. On more than one occasion, I have takien clothes, toys, & kids electronics, all clean and in working condition with brand new batteries. The associate basically tells me my items arent good enough! She offers me $4.95 for a few select items However, I observed others of a different ethnicity bring in items and offered $45+. The items they have for sale in the toy section look no different than the ones I brought in. Everything is used so you should expect normal wear. Their clothes, especially the boys shirts, have wash wear fading. But yet an associate still purchased the items to sell in the store. So again I say this place of business is racially biased. Definitely not going to be going back anytime soon!

I’ve found some real treasures at this store. It’s definitely worth taking the time to dig in the shoe bins - I found like-new Heely’s for $6 (I paid $60 this summer for some😱)! Great selection of coats, shoes and sweaters this season as well!

This place has very rude employees. I went here last night with half an hour to spare and the staff acted like it was an imposition for me to be there. I ended up not buying anything because the experience was so bad. The staff actually turned the closed sign on 15 minutes earlier than the time posted on the door. The only reason they got two stars is because their products and pricing is awesome

Coupons given in text messages have NO VALUE behind them so no longer subscribed. Was told numerous times they do not accept anything besides name brand clothing and accessories for buying, however, shopping in their store NUMEROUS Walmart items were on the shelf; worn, torn, and stained items were for sale; and overall experience is not pleasant. WILL NOT return to this location at all. They pick and choose who to provide service to and follow rules and who not! Poor experience all around.

Good place to shop when on a budget found some cute stuff almost like new for cheap. But I will no longer sale to them I will continue to sell my items on Mercari I make more money there.

Great place to buy or sale your childs clothes. I find great deals on higher end clothes such as ruffle butts, mudpie, and livie&luca!!! They also do a ton of different sales that help me stock up when my daughter jumps sizes so fast. The store is always clean and I could talk about their customer service all day! Always a friendly smile and greeting when you enter!

I wont shop here anymore, they refused certain brands when I took my babys clothes in to sell, and then I found the exact brands on the racks. Very frustrating! I will stick to smaller consignment shops.

I drove an hour and a half to this store to sell and got there about 15 mins before closing. They told me they would not accept anything after a certain point. Like I get that, but all of the people that work there are so rude. The people hanging clothes, the people at the cash register, the people going through the items you bring in, you name it, they are horrible. I just wish that our society cared about customer service because these girls are unbelievably rude. Especially at Tyler location!
