I have tried to call and have now left 3 messages today (over the span of about 4 hours) trying to reach someone about getting more oxygen for my dad. I have not received a return phone call. My dad is on his last oxygen tank. This is NOT acceptable! (This is my current frustration following other frustrations, including my dad being sent home after being in the hospital with covid and it taking them 3 hours to deliver a machine to the house.

After my injury, I was holed up at PAM rehab. When they cut me loose, I worked with American Medical for necessary hardware (wheelchair, walker, etc). Wheelchair was rented and other gear purchased.About a month in, and I no longer need the wheelchair. Called and spoke with friendly staff.Took the wheelchair to American Medical (was told they could pick it up if I wanted), and had a bunch of help getting it in the door (I’m on crutches at the moment).Painless transfer of the wheelchair back to American Medical.No real issues.

I called to get on the schedule to pick this bed up, to get it out of my living room, before the snowstorm they indicated the pick up would be delayed which I understood. I call 8 days later having not heard from anyone and find there was not even a note placed to pick it up. Now I am having to wait for another 6 days for it to be picked up. I am very upset with this company, horrible customer service!!!

I am really torn on my rating. I would love to give the 2 young men that came out to my house 5+ stars. Rex in the office, what little I talked to her was nice but the other 2! Jermey and Kathy should be fired and not allowed to work with sick patients. I have never been treated so poorly, disrespectful and rudely, as a patient ANY WHERE, as I was here by these 2, even before I left the hospital. And once I got home, the treatment was even worse. I suspect they have both been there awhile, and their give a s**t is broken. They are talking to you over the phone and feel like they can talk to you however they want. Neither one has compassion or care for the situation you as a patient are in and in need of oxygen so you can breath and don’t die. And I have no doubt, that as miserable as they made the experience for me, that your other employees have got to be affected by the way that these people or act and treat other people. I’m sure the other employees are having to apologize for how a bad few act.They both need to take a lesion from the 2 young men who came to my house with the equipment. If this company had more employees like those young men, you could turn this company around and have a great place for patients as well as employees. Sadly I can’t remember their names.Thank you to those 2 young men. You are doing a great job. You explained the equipment and how to operate it thoroughly and you sat with me and acted like you cared to make sure I was OK and comfortable with the equipment. I can’t tell you how helpful you were and how you made a bad situation better.

Pros: they did being needed oxygen equipment to Cushing on a Friday evening when my Mom got released from the hospital.Cons: Worst customer service ever! These are the rudest people to speak to on the phone. Hard to get anything else done unless you call them numerous times and they will be rude every time!

Well, if you want to blame the client & have a snarky response, youve got the right place! They are great with excuses. BTW, all the suppliers in town appear to have this same edge. Apparently, medical supply is a first fight, first serve market here! Too bad I need the Oxygen tanks to work as advertised!

I am an Advantage Case Manager. I only gave this company a 1, because I cant score them any lower. One of my Advantage members, who lives alone and has had a stroke and is paralyzed on one side, is completely dependent on her hospital bed to get in and out of bed. Her bed stopped working. I contacted this company and asked them to go see her and assess what the problem was with the bed. They absolutely refused to go and service this member, who has been paid through medicare for the rental of this bed. They said they had replaced the bed one year after she received the initial bed, and that she would have to pay for another bed if the problem was to be resolved. There was no concern or compassion for her not being able to get in or out of the bed. They refused to provide a loaner bed to help her. They basically abandoned her. The member was sleeping in a chair. I contacted another company who is not involved, and they went and checked out the problem and discovered the motor was not working. They contacted the company and found out it was covered under warranty, and they replaced the motor on her bed and got it working again, and there was absolutely no charge to this member. This other company did what American Medical should have done. I will absolutely tell everyone I see in my path about the poor service provided through American Medical. They violated Medicare requirements to service equipment for which they are being paid. I highly encourage you to stay away from them.

They arent worth even 1 star! I have only been with them for 90 days and cant get my oxygen! They will only deliver every 90 days so you have to go pick up your own tanks if you need them before the 90 days! Ive been there 3 times and the last 2 times I was only given 2 tanks! No one can give me a straight answer, they had the paperwork in there hand last time I was there and now they dont show they ever received it. I recommend that you find another company. I know that there is customer service but this place has no understanding of that!

Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever encountered. Unfortunately they’re the only ones that take Medicare. First encounter they lost all my info so didn’t call me back and it took several phone calls before I could finally put in my order, so getting my equipment was delayed about four weeks. I left a message 4 days ago to place an order and have not heard from them. I would give them zero stars but that’s not an option.

The people who come to your house with equipment - theyre great. But the office staff Ive dealt with - especially CHERYL do not care, do not attempt to provide decent service. You can tell by the utter apathy in her voice. And if youre on medicare youre stuck with this company I hope they get the karma they deserve - like end up needing oxygen and medical equipment and have people pretend to be clueless when you and your doctors office have politely tried to get the needed services and equipment changes multiple times. If you have any other choice, dont go with American Medical. My doctors office is livid with this place and called the manager - just got excuses about people being new.

This company is the worst company to ever deal with. They are trying to bill Medicare for services which was never ordered by family physician and never even brought out to the house. As far as I am concerned, this company is one of the major major Medicare fraud companies to deal with.

Positively the WORST customer service ever! Never check their faxes from the Drs offices! My Dr repeatly faxed orders regarding my oxygen equipment and it took weeks of calling them to get my portable oxygen machine! Now they are not picking up the stationery oxygen concentraor as ordered by my Dr! Keep saying they dont have an order although my Dr sent me a copy of the faxed order! Terrible medical supply Company!

This company is chaos. They won’t return calls, They don’t keep supplies on hand so you wait for long periods while they are on order. They are misleading about staff expertise. They are totally unreliable.

I personally dropped off my tanks and oxygen machine so I wouldnt be billed for another month. But they billed my credit card anyway!! I have called and called trying to get a hold of someone when I finally did they said it was taken care of, I called a week later, my credit card said no it was still on there! Very frustrating!! I do NOT like to be lied to..
