Good location, but no air conditioning

I was only here for a night and had to leave early the next day. I loved it and thought it was very nice. Rooms were big, very clean. The shower handle didnt stay on the upper hold very well and hit me in the head, but it could be user error. Anyway, I enjoyed staying there and would stay there again.

Stayed at the Savoy hotel Moscow, from 26 Apr to 30 Apr 2018. Excellent hotel, staff are attentive and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast buffet was also excellent, rooms very clean and well tendered. During our stay it was my husbands birthday which they picked up on, they left him champagne and chocolates in our room on the day. Thank you to the management and staff at the Savoy for making our stay in Moscow a positively memorable one.

Decent hotel but a bit past its prime. The rooms are large, cleaned promptly, and a bottle of water is provided daily. The showers seemed a bit dated with the shower head not functioning properly; however, the heated floors were nice touch after a long day out in the cold. The toiletries as well as the linens were decent but sub-par for a five-star hotel imo. The best aspect of the hotel is its excellent location within walking distance to the Red Square. However, at night there was some issue with noise from the street. Despite the name, the hotel appears to be of no relation to the luxury Savoy in London.

A terrific boutique hotel in the hear of Moscow. You have easy access to the subway and train systems, walking to Red Square, shopping and other things to see or do.

Its very good for Moscow and not expensive at all! Its very important that the hotel is in the centre, thats why we chose it. We went to a bar nearby and then accidentally got in a massage place called Podium - it was something else!

First of all we got a very good deal and super deluxe room booked vijay Expedia USA! The location is awesome in central district surrounded by happening restobars, karaoke and coffee shops open till wee hours in the morning.The rooms are regal with classic decor and street views. Staff is warm and ready to help except some egotistical behaviour and attitudes towards foreign tourists like us. But we can forgive them after a good meal here. English language is not known by all as majority of tourist visitors here speak & understand English. Management should look into it and reprimand some rude staff not acceptable in hospitality industry! Having said that we will surely recommend all not to miss this landmark in Moscow city! Everything is tip top I cant stay anything but one thing is that we were staying on the 4th floor and the wifi speed could really use an upgrade, but besides of that it was more then amazing the pool is crazy with the massage gaizers and the gym is top level, All the food is Devine and great atmosphere.

The whole decoration has given me the opportunity to get a proper break ..in a wonderful hotel full of stories and such a great history behind.If you want to be in Russia and stay in Moscow to feel the early 20th century...the Savoy is the one. Close to the Red Square...to the Bolchoi theatre...The junior room was spacious..the chef is an artist.I will come back ...this is a promess!!

Stayed there in May 2018, was disappointed - service was really bad- soviet style! The breakfast which we paid for was no possible to eat as it was also very bad quality. The bell door men were always sleeping when we came - why even bother to have them then?! and in the end - safe was broken and it too them like a good hour to fix it! (hotel gave me though a complimentary taxi to the airport for such inconvenience).the beds were so small - I almost fell the first night!Pluses - the location is good - more or less quiet (as much as it can be possible for Moscow as a huge and crazy city).The rooms were huge and built well. But the view we had - was ugly (on some constructions).The pool was huge, but the lady who worked there provided sort of soviet annoying service worrying if we bring her back the towels which we took while were at the pool.Would not call it a 5 star! They need to change their staff 100%! Soviet service. Bad food at the breakfast. smallest beds I have ever had.

The Savoy Hotel has seen a lot. Hotel Savoy (until 1914 and in 1958-1988 - Berlin) - a hotel built by order of the insurance company Salamandra at the intersection of Rozhdestvenka and Sofiyka streets (now - Pushechnaya). After 1917 the hotel was converted into a hostel, fourteen years later the building was transferred to the jurisdiction of the All-Union Society Hotel.During her visit to Moscow, dancer Isadora Duncan stayed in the building. Among the hotel guests at various times were the football player Diego Maradona, opera singers Montserrat Caballe and Luciano Pavarotti, actors Jane Fonda, Richard Gere, Stephen Seagal and others. In general, my wife and I, in conditions of border closure, decided to live here for the weekend to join this company of celebrities staying at this hotel. Savoy is a real 5 * hotel, at prices slightly lower than their counterparts, while located in the very center, surrounded by major attractions, music and drama theaters, the best restaurants and shops🏢🏬🏩🏪 When checking into the hotel everything went quickly and clearly, luggage brought to the room, already peeled from the packaging film. The room is good, more or less everything is in order in the bathroom: everything is decorated with marble, clean, there is only not enough space (in some places you literally rest your forehead against the wall🧘), there is no space on the countertop of the washbasin at all, unless you remove the hotel cosmetics along with the tray. There is not enough watering can in the shower room, the shower is only stationary, the metal shelf for cosmetics and soap accessories is not fixed, everything falls out of it. There are not enough shelves or storage cabinet in the bathroom. There is no view from the window of the room, in the literal sense of the word: the glass is frosted, and then you run into some strange metal structures. During the rain, water runs through the cracks in the window frame 🌧 But the wardrobe in the hallway is large, comfortable, with mirrors - everything is in place The mattress and pillows are comfortable, I didnt even have to change the pillows. The bedding is pretty nice.Breakfast corresponds to 5 * with live music👍 But it is advisable to see the exquisite Savoy restaurant with your own eyes and feel - grace in the Rococo style and classic Russian cuisine💥💯The next day, after talking with the hotel manager at the accommodation service Olga, an engineer came to the room and fixed a metal shelf for cosmetics. Beautiful place! We were there on a guided tour. We visited the restaurant and the hotel itself. We tasted the restaurants dishes. Great impressions! The interiors are impressive!

Strongly not recommended. The hotel does not have a system for booking and allocating rooms. Even having agreed on an early / late check-out for money, you can either be forced to wait with the children for a couple of hours, or be asked impolitely at 12 to check out. They confidently say that everything is fine with them. This is not 5 stars, but a collective farm in the center of Moscow.

If you are in Moscow, then you should look into the legendary Savoy, you dont have to settle there, you can just go to the restaurant for breakfast or go there with a guided tour, see the Presidential suite and the famous Alpine Rose meeting room.

It is an old hotel but very well maintained, where everything works beautifully. Very good breakfast in a wonderful room accompanied by a pianist. There is a swimming pool with whirlpool and gym. The location is fantastic. Close to the Bolshoi and Red Square. In the street many restaurants and bars to try.
