I do not recommend this place at all. Run awaaaay !!!!.Our friends had a problem just after buying a car. And they did not wanted to accept a return Even if they called the women who works there the next business day to talk to her about the problem. She was not honest with them. And was so rude the second day . When they asked to talk to the owner, she told them that she is the one who is running the business and that the owner was not there to talk to them. And that he is far away. (Obviously she was lying) cause he showed up just a minute after that. And did not solve the problem either but at least was nicer to them.

I have been doing business with American motors for 2 years now and have bought 2 different cars and never had any problems and I love the way they treat me as a costumer

We should have come here first. After an entire day of searching we came across American Motors and found my wifes dream jeep and they were very well priced and honest about everything. We will definitely buy another vehicle here.

We had an excellent experience buying a used truck here. They had vehicles in our price range >$4,000, the salesmen were polite and not pushy. They provided the information needed to get our auto loan approved by our credit union, and were knowledgeable about the process.

The salesperson was nice enough, when we actually went to buy the car they wouldn’t honor the price they had listed online, which was 2,000 less than what they told us, because it was a “mistake” finally got the guy to lower the price about 600 only because it would need new tires soon. Only after we got the title back did we find out it had a salvaged title and now we’ve had it for barely 3 months and the alternator has gone out of it. So now we have to buy a whole new set of tires and a new alternator. Don’t waste your time or money, the vehicle’s are cheap for a reason.

I bought a Dodge Charger from this car lot. When I test drove the car there was a slight misfire when the car was idling the salesman told me it could be bad gas and that they hadnt got to check it out yet, even though on the website it had said itd been inspected to make sure it was a good, reliable car. Seeing as there was no check engine light on at the time I believed it could be a simple fix. It was not. As soon as I drove it home to Missouri the check engine came on that very night. I have had this car since June and its taken this long for someone to find out what the misfire was caused by. After replacing coil packs, spark plugs, fuel injectors, the battery, and alternator, (it also needed tires as well) it was finally diagnosed as a valve leak. Which I definitely can not afford to have fixed. I have spent so much money in this short period of owning the car I could have bought a much nicer car without all of the problems, stress, and tears this car has caused me. Also just a heads up if they lower the price on a vehicle they no longer offer the advertised warranty. Was only aware of that because after calling to let them know shortly after buying it we knew the misfire definitely was not caused from bad gas. They then informed us they could not do anything because since they knocked a few hundred off the price (so I could get tires it desperately needed) they wouldnt do anything to help, because there was not a warranty. I would not buy from this place if I were you. Im now stuck with a car that I took a loan out to get that I cant drive without the fear of it having to be towed home again, because its now happened at least 3 times. Thanks for the headache American Motors.

BEWARE!!I found a vehicle that my kid wanted. Called and asked about it since we live 3 hours away. Specifically asked if there were any dents or major scratches. Was told no that the car was in almost mint condition. Drive the 3 hours, car isn’t in mint condition . There are several noticeable dents and scratches. Should have walked away but my kid wanted that car. I did get a 3 month warranty not that it has done any good. Car was in the shop within 3 days and the warranty was a joke. It’s been a month and we still don’t have the title. I’ve called 10 times a day and call goes to a voicemail that isn’t set up yet. Contacting BBB and a lawyer to see how to get the title.

This is my second time to this place, bought a car last year on tax season and and just went back this year because Im super happy because for the first time I havent had any problems with a car, the owner is really nice and explained to me about the car, even gave me a free powertrain guarantee, Nobody does that! (never had to use it! ) so happy with my second buy here, had it for 2 weeks and also no problems! Totally recommend this place!!

Do not buy a car from this place. They buy them from a auction and rebuild them. I bought a chevy equinox last year. Test drove it. Everything was great. Only to find out that the ac quit blowing and I have a oil leak and a gas leak. Car has been nothing but trouble an a money pit for the past year.

Ive had the pleasure of dealing with American Motors for a long time. I bought my car from Chema and hes done the paint and body work on both my car and my wifes. Unfortunately, weve been hit 3 times by people without insurance, and hes helped us every time. Sold me a car that had a ton of issues. Said the lock worked and convinced me it did even though my eyes said otherwise. Hit or miss here. They do not have an onsite mechanic so just hope that the caf has no issues because they wont fix it before you buy it most likely.

You respond to my review but when I was there in person there was nothing you guys could do for me!? Hmm... Im not dumb enough to sign out of a warranty! Financed a 2013 Nissian Altima through these guys that they were asking $5,299 for. They told me that the fiance company didnt charge any interest or fees, which was correct. But, after signing the contract and getting the vehicle I seen that these crooks added $4,700 to the asking price. Took 2 months for the fiance company to come and get the car I dont recommend anyone do business with these guys

My niece just had the same experience. Purchased 2011 Mustang 2/25/19 from owner Luis Castanon telling her they just got it from Houston, so nice he almost bought it for himself, blah blah blah. He popped the trunk showing her it worked etc. A week later when she tried to use the trunk it wouldn’t open. They had tied an actual extension cord to the trunk and it has to be pulled from the inside to open it. The extension cord wasn’t there when he popped the trunk. That’s only a very small piece to this. She signed the most generic 1 page document on a tablet so you couldn’t see what you were signing. She asked to see the title. He said he didn’t have it yet since they just got the car and would be mailed to her. They put 113000 miles on the contract yet her odometer reads 117000. We just discovered under title is has rebuilt which was absolutely never once disclosed. She received title a couple days ago with a “salvage-damaged” title as of 6/21/18. Transfered by American Motor to Rebuilt 12/12/18. Title is notorized on 3/1/19 but just got it. Paper tag expired today so we went down there confronting them. He called the police to escort us out and said to call his attorney yet never provided their information. He claimed he has it all on camera which I was excited to hear if it actually works. It will be in his favor if it doesn’t. We asked him to make it right by taking the car back due to lack of full disclosure about the rebuilt title and false advertising which never mentioned it was a salvage car. She tried to get insurance and was denied by everyone she called because they said it was 75% damaged. So now she has a car she can’t get insured or tagged because no way in hell will she sign that. The attorney general has been contacted, BBB complaint is being filed and will begin interviewing attorneys once we know what direction the AG or BBB will go. I gave them several chances to make it right. My 19 yr old niece is in no position to be without a car. What’s even worse is if they knew her life story they would know her faith in humanity has been tested to the max throughout her adolescent life. She went in so trusting of these guys and beleived everything said but is now sitting with an unoperable vehicle that is not street legal. She has to figure out how to keep her job without a car or the $9700 she paid them for a car that is actually only worth $2500 under rebuilt values. It’s a life lesson she shouldn’t have to learn at 19 especially without the financial means or knowledge to know what to do. I typically let my children fight their own battles but this one crosses so many ethical lines I am more than happy to step in. BUYER BEWARE!!!
