Customer service was outstanding. The quality, pricing, and selection of dresses and sizes was better than anywhere else I went in Tulsa. When I came in she asked what I was looking for, helped me find a dress and helped me put it on. The first dress she handed me ended up being The Dress and I said yes to the dress. 😊After trying on so many overpriced, poor quality and often completely the wrong size dresses at several other places I was feeling a little hopeless. I read the reviews on this places and decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did. Not only did I find my dress I also got my bridesmaids dress too.If you are struggling to find a good quality dress for a great price I highly recommend checking out this store. Its clean and friendly and just all around great.

After having no luck finding a dress at several bridal shops and department stores we happened across this store during a Google search. My daughter and I were pleasantly surprised at the amount of dresses and range of sizes. Absolutely the best formal dress shop in the area. We drove from North West Arkansas to visit another store, but found this to be our second stop. We found the perfect prom dress at Discount Formals. Brought my daughter in to find a dress for her Spring Formal. They were so helpful and friendly and we found The Perfect Dress. The price was shocking!! I went to this store praying to find something my daughter might like for her junior prom. The dress we had custom ordered was not shipped so I was stressed & desperate. In addition to that, my daughter had no time to look or try anything on as the prom was 2 days away and she had to work and play in a soccer game. But, I found the perfect dress for her. The new owner was beyond kind and helpful when I called asking if they had any 0 or 2 sizes and when I showed up she showed me everything in those sizes plus anything she thought might work. I snapped a few pics, sent them to my daughter, then came back a little later and picked up the one she liked the best. When my daughter tried it on, it fit perfectly and all I had to do was hem it. For such a stressful situation, the owner had so many dresses that were possibilities and was so helpful. We don’t live in Tulsa, but we will be back here for any more formals and I will spread the word about this great store and it’s incredible owner. Thank you!

I have bought two dresses from Discount Formals. The first dress was for my daughters junior band homecoming. The dress was beautiful and fit her like a dream, and she got a lot of compliments. While prom dress shopping in February, we purchased her senior band homecoming dress (the store was having a great sale and we couldnt pass it up). We recently noticed the panel was missing from the back where the corset ties. I messaged the store through Facebook Messenger, and was told the panel could be mailed to me next week!

So glad we found this place. It was a great experience. Very fair prices and got here for an early bird special also got some free jewelry with our purchase!

My daughter at the last moment needed a prom formal. Discount formals was the recommended place to go seeing as my daughter is plus sized. We put in the address in google maps and it took us to a different location that turned out to be not that far away. However, we called to verify what his address was and the man that answered said he is on the corner of Sheridan and 60th, right by Charlies Chicken. We are not from Tulsa so werent sure exactly where that was at so asked if we could get the actual address to put into our GPS. He literally laughed at us and said, Maam, we are easy to find, we have a sign right in front that says Discount Bridal; its right by Charlies Chicken! We told him we werent from the area so wanted to confirm the address (which turned out to be one number off from Google) and he sighed and gave it to us. Amazing, we own a small business in customer service and are blown away by this behavior. Didnt even bother going.

I went shopping for my prom dress here and was very impressed. The dresses there do overflow the store, but overall they look lovely. There was an older man there who was very nice and helped me find my dress size with one look. There wasnt too much variety of my size, but overall i found dresses that were my liking and had a great time here.

They have a great selection. They had every size available. We went with my daughter and her friend and they have very different body types and the older man was very good at helping them pick dresses that made them look amazing. For full length gowns they were very well priced.

I HIGHLY recommend Discount Formals for bridal dresses. I spent $1500 at another popular bridal and prom dress shop on 71st and hated my dress down to the penny. With Discount Formals, they had my size in multiple dresses, VERY FRIENDLY gentleman and staff, respectable of my opinion, helped give me opinions when asked about which dress looked better for my figure, and most of all, wasnt pushy with me to buy a certain dress just because. I was surprised at how many dresses they had in my size - 16. I rarely find over 2 or 3 dresses at a given time in my size, but with Discount Formals, I tried on 6 dresses straight away in my size. I was informed that they carry all colors and sizes up to 24 at any given time and if its not in stock, they will have your dress PRESSED, STEAMED, AND BAGGED ON A PRETTY HANGER for you in ONE WEEK!!! 5 STARS!!!

Discount Formals is a hidden gem! This place has great service, great dresses, and great prices. They also offer layaway which is great if you find your dream dress but arent able to pay for it all at once. I highly recommend this place!

There was an older man working there. He was Very very rude to us. He couldnt hear very well then got irritated at me for me having to repeat myself to him. He Treated my daughter and I like we were bothering him. The dress prices were very reasonable but I would gladly pay more to not give him a dime of my money. He acted like my daughter size 6/8 was too big to be trying on his very expensive dresses. (Yes, he said that followed by young lady)! Unbelievable. Shes an athlete and very in shape and 58! He had no reason to body shame her. Ive never never been treated with such disdaine and disrespect at any store in all my adult life.

Went there 2 years ago for homecoming. The older many was extremely rude and the dress was just as expensive as other prom stores. Went back last weekend only to get told by him that I was too big for a 2 piece dress. No one greeted us when we walked in and the service was terrible. Walked out within 5 minutes. All the dresses are out of style. They need to remodel their store and find a better owner.

This is a very low end, all sparkle, teeny-bopper type of store. All unbranded dresses that you can find on EBay. This store would be good for teenagers or younger who need something flashy for a dance or special school event. Definitely not for adults! Unless you are going to small town pageant glamor. If you are looking for adult styles with class and elegance, this is not the place. The dresses are still the prices as high end dresses from actual designers. Lowest price I saw was $99 for a short tulle dress. Most floor length were $300+.

There is nothing discount about this store. Davids bridal has a much bigger selection for alot less money for the same type of dresses.. These people were unwilling to negotiate at all.. Not a single full length dress in the store for less than $200...and thats only one rack of the plainest gowns in the store.. The big glittery dresses all start at $350.. Hope this helps someone else. If we had known this ahead of time, would not have wasted our time here.
