I brought my car in to Encinas for a second opinion and told the man at the counter what had already been found about it. He told me that with that information, he could assure me it would need an engine rebuild, and the cost of that would be greater than the value of my car. Honest guy, and saved me the cost of a second diagnostic.

Fantastic folks with an uncommon level of trustworthiness for auto mechanics. They had the opportunity to do unnecessary work because I was convinced by someone elses inspection that I needed brakes replaced. But the brakes turned out to be fine and Encinas refused the chance to make money replacing them when not necessary. They found a fuel injection problem that had also been confused by previous service. They fixed that and barely charged me more than what an lift & inspection costs at one of their competitors. Class act.

I have had my vehicles serviced at Encinas for over a decade, now. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They have consistently shot straight with me about my vehicle and even advised me to avoid repairs that werent really necessary. When they cannot manage something in-house, they offer me a recommendation for someplace they know. Over the years, I have developed great trust in Encinas. This is Tulsa gold.

Encinas has worked on my cars in past but never did I imagine they would work on Husqvarna riding mower tires. I brought them a tubeless tire standard on most riding mowers and a 15x6x6 tube to place in the front tire of my mower rather than purchase a new tubeless tire for $80 bucks. That said mower tires even with these standard sizes have different profiles that dont always align to the valve stem location. After they tried to insert the tube with no success getting the valve stem to line up properly I asked if slime or fix-a-flat might get me by? Naturally these guys race cars professionally and know their %$#@ and recommended I get a tube of Slime at the auto parts store. Not only did they put in a new valve stem but put the Slime in the tire aired it up and sent me down the road for no charge!! Need I say more. Thanks guys for all you do.Also want to mention before I called Encinas I tried ALL the big tire service companies like Robertson Tire, Firestone Same Day etc and they all said we dont do small tires? Isnt that strange

Hands down the best mechanic Ive ever dealt with. Car got fixed, estimate was spot on, work was done when quoted,theh exchanged the faulty part for me at autozone during a snow storm so I didnt have to find a ride (I was stranded in Tulsa during an ice storm with a broken alt). Employees were respectable and kind. One even offered to drive this fretting elderly lady home who didnt have a ride while her car was getting fixed. I honestly wish I had mechanic like this where Im from. I dont want to break down again, but if I have to do it, I hope its in Tulsa 😂.

Update: Called this morning and explained the issue. They took it in and had it fixed before noon, at no charge. Its fixed!!! So glad to report I am a happy customer and will by happy to recommend to friends and other family. :)Took my daughters car to have power steering fixed. Less than a week after getting it back, no power steering. Taking it back this week. Will write a new review if they make it right.

The experience that I had with this place was horrible And hurtful. Given the fact that I had been a customer before with no complaints. And was treated fairly and reasonably before.They over charged hundreds of dollars to get my brake system repaired on my Van. And didnt bother actually repairing it correctly at all I come to find out a month or so after repair. In fact it was one of the employees there that over charged me. And the owner said nothing or did nothing knowing that one of his employees over charged me for little or no repair.The Totally Experience was hurtful.So when I see all these wonderful comments about this car repair shop It makes me feel like I was discriminated against in the worst way.Especially when I gave them no trouble at all because its not in my nature. So for them to handle me in such a fashion made me feel they were racist and took advantage of me because they had my car and I didnt have a choice but to pay them or they would have keep it. A totally set up from the start.Not to mention, every review I just read that had bad service from these guys were either handicapped or a Person of Color. So yes, I would NOT support this business if you are a person of color or disabled. Which is very sad ladies and gentlemen 💔

So these guys are great. For me they arent the most conveniently located so Ive continued to try different places. I always end up back here and now Im just not going anywhere else even if it is further from me.One car had a horrible leak. They looked at it and said we found the two leaks, heres where they are, this is what it would cost. Then they told me the cost to fix was worth more then my car and while they would do it if I said go ahead, they think Im wasting my money. So I took the car back and started looking for newer cars. They told me if I had any trouble finding a car give them a call back and give them a price range and theyd help me look. I didnt need them to but it was really nice.This visit, Id taken my car to the guy that always worked on it before I bought it. Over two visits and $750 in it was still leaking oil so I refused to take it back to him. They looked and were like its this, its not cheap, its your call. Didnt really feel like looking for a new car if they could definitely fix the problem. Its the ONLY issue with this car. So I said do it, it was going to take 2 days. Near time for me to go get it, they called and said we thought it was good, had it running to test it, its still leaking. We cant let you take it, we didnt fix the problem like we said. Okay yeah that sucks now Ive got to figure out rides. But Im not going to have an ugly oil spot surprise the day after I take my car back. About 45 min later, they call back, said they started tearing it down but didnt have to go all the way to find the problem. Fixed what they found, no leaking, I can come get it. There was no way I could get to them before they closed, but the boss said he would be there a little later, they just wouldnt be open if I thought I could make it, so I did. Got my car back. Its been about a month, no leaks, not even a tiny one. Totally worth the money I paid THEM not the first guy I tried.Not going anywhere else from now on. I highly recommend this place, theyre going to do what they say.

Had an unexpected and good experience at Encinas today.Recently moved here from Ohio and took my car to one of the franchised lube places for oil change about three months ago. Was told that my brake fluid was very, very low and that I should get the brakes checked out immediately. Since they do not refill brake fluid, I took it to a place recommended just to get the fluid added and was told that in order to get the brakes checked, I would have to make an appointment and leave the car. I couldnt do that at that time. This week, I searched on the internet foran automotive repair place with favorable comments and called Encinas to see if I could bring the car in & wait for the brakes to be checked. I was told that I could, so I went in thenext day. After a short wait time, I was told that: Rear brakes, like new. Front brakes, fine. Brake fluid, fine.Honesty??!! Usually unheard of for an automotive repair place, right? I will definitely take my car back there, when necessary.

Have used them many times. Had a problem one day and they misdiagnosed but they made it right. They picked up the car, brought it back to there shop and repaired it without additional charges. I recommend them to everyone.

Finding Encinas was a happy day! For nearly 20 years they have honestly, quickly and priced reasonably taken care of everything with our vehicles. I wont even get my oil changed anywhere else! Not one complaint about them ever. They set the standard for what good business can be.

I bought a headlight bulb and couldnt figure out how to install it. Two stores said the front bumper had to be removed to replace the bulb and I should schedule a visit (this actually the case in newer cars). Encinas was able to replace the bulb in about a minute, and then refused to charge me! Awesome!!

Id give them 4.9 stars if I could, because nobodys perfect. These guys come close though. Ive had several cars worked on over the last 25 years at Encinas and never had a problem. Their pricing is reasonable and work is exceptional. They do exactly what they say theyll do, stand behind their work, and go the extra mile (pun intended). Plus, I hear they rescue puppies, help little old ladies across the street, and are working to end world hunger, but those could be just rumors.

They fixed my 2011 Dodge Durango transmission cooler (which is a huge failure point on the Durango) for an amazing price compared to their competitors repair estimates. Mike and his crew give auto repair a GOOD name. He has done several repairs on my various cars through the years and has never charged me for something that did not need fixed. Never overcharged me and always is freindly, fair, fast, and efficient. Has great mechanics and has even done small things and NOT charged me. Can work on about anything! I would not consider going anywhere else.

These guys are a simple, no flashy sales or bs garage. They get your car in, get it fixed and get it out. They will NOT claim some major repair is needed when a simple fix will do. Even if they believe it is a major repair and learn it isn’t, they let you know what they found and do the cheapest repair. This is a good, old school honest garage that treats people right and does excellent work.Small shop and small number of people. I would wait until they weren’t busy rather than go elsewhere for any repair due to their honesty and performance. The person who referred me couldn’t say enough good and I can’t either. Try these guys and you won’t be sorry.

I usually do my own car repair but needed a brake fluid change and thats kinda a 2 person job, anyway tried here after checking prices around town. The were almost half the price, did the job in the time that was estimated and on top of it, met a couple in the waiting room that told me they have used them for almost 15 years and that they wouldnt go anywhere else. For a first experience they knocked it out of the park. What you need done....in the time promised....done right. That equals professional to me. Well done.

Awesome shop! The gentleman there, Mike & his son, have been so helpful to me. As a young female that doesnt know much about cars, they could have easily charged me for things I didnt need. However, they told me exactly what repairs I needed & even when my car was no longer worth fixing. Theyre even looking at prospective used cars for me. I dont know why more mechanics arent honest.

I had a faulty headlight and had searched far and wide, but had either been quoted outrageous amounts or just not found helpful customer service at other auto shops.I finally stumbled upon Encinas, and found my auto shop for life here in Tulsa. I came to Encinas and they took care of me all the way through. They fixed my cars issue for no charge. I talked with one of the employees, Jeremy, and he insisted no charge, because they believe in honest and good work and relationships with their customers. Jeremy also told me how this shop has been a family-operated business for 27 years now which not many auto shops can say about themselves.I highly suggest Encinas to anyone who has been looking for that auto shop they can fully trust. This place will have my business as long as Im in Tulsa.

I needed to find a good used tire fast and cheep. I was able to do both at Encinas. They were nice friendly people who fixed my tire in a timely manner. Definitely going back for any future problems.

I friend of mine recommended Encinas to me back in 2002. Ive never taken any of my cars any place else. They are the only honest mechanics I know of in Tulsa. Mike is great. I like the way he gives you options, if any are available, to fix the problem. Plus, he tells you up front exactly how much it will be so there are no surprises. And if he does happen to find something wrong you didnt know about, hell call you. Ive had him tell me well we can do this but it really doesnt need it right now. How many mechanics would tell you that? NONE! I also have swung by there a couple of times when my service engine light came on. Neither time it turned out to be nothing and he had it checked within minutes and didnt charge me a penny.

Inexpensive, but low effort work at best. Shoddy and dangerous at worst.I moved recently and had taken a car to get the timing belt replaced before I did. $600 later I get my car, load it on the trailer, and haul it across the country after a couple hundred miles of short city driving later the car dies on me. I get it towed to a mechanic only to find that there were bolts now loose and missing, not to mention that new brake pads had been installed on top of old rotors and I need new front brakes because.I had in the past had trouble with the work that I recieved from this shop. A car I had brought in died 10 minutes after I had drove it off after paying for a fix. Admittedly the owner seemed concerned about the issue, and took it back to fix it without further cost. Unfortunately I cannot take the vehicle back across the country to let Encinas Automotive fix their error again.The owner does seem to care about his business, and the cost is relatively low, but definitely be prepared to get what you pay for. You will probably also have to get work done more than once.

I took my Neon in at the beginning of the week, and the guys at Encinas were so honest with me. I ended up not getting any work done, but instead they filled up my power steering fluid and told me to keep an eye on it since I didnt want to spend the full amount to replace the pump. Very impressed. Ill be going back indefinitely.

Mike Encinas and his crew, I call them my pit crew take care of my vehicles and have for 20 years. Totally honest and reputable. They have installed a new Ford factory transmission in my explorer and so many regular and minor repairs. They rule.

I found Encinas on google. I was having AC problems and needed an oil change. I decided to go there because of good ratings on Google. It is kind of a hole in the wall place but really beats those chain places. Mike does a great job of explaining everything to you and going over what will be involved. The blower on my AC was not working and instead of just replacing the blower and charging me more they replaced the wiring connections that were worn and causing the blower not to work. The price was great and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing maintenance or repair work needed. Me and my wife will definitely go back!

I would like to sum up my experience with this shop as excellent! The service mngr & mechanics were polite and courteous and resolved my last minute issue same day. As a female, I will be the first to recommend a women to this shop. These people are honest and do good work. My background is working service depts in the motorcycle industry, and this is defiantly a 5 star rating place. I will share my experience: I took my 07 ford focus on a walk in basis for a charging system issue. If anyone is familiar with this repair on this specific model, you would understand it isn’t just a matter of a couple bolts, and belt adjustments… It is BURIED. I was nervous once they confirmed my suspicion as the vol regulator being bad, as it wasn’t the first time it has happened and it will not be the last. Not only was it repaired the same day, they saved me $ on the parts due to the aftermarket manufactures lifetime warranty, great people, very fair labor rates. Thank you Encinas!

They have integrity. Im a single lady and I can trust them to only do whats necessary for my repairs. No extra things that I dont understand. They have read my codes before and told me this is really unnecessary when I wouldnt have known the difference. Also, I work nights and one day the guy at the counter noticed I was in scrubs and sleepy, so he gave me a ride home asap so I could go to sleep. They came back and picked me up right when they said they would.

Fast, thorough, honest, and fair. I went to one of the big (pricy) chain mechanics, and they listed a whole host of issues that they said needed immediate repair. Quoted us a price to do it that was more than half the value of the (ten-year-old) car.Didnt quite feel right about it, so I looked for another place. This one was highly-rated and quoted more reasonable prices, so I brought it here instead. They diagnosed the main problem more accurately and told us none of the problems were serious or needed immediate attention, and wed be better off just taking it back as is, keeping an eye on the oil level, and taking our time deciding whether to do the repairs or just trade it in for a new car.I really appreciate this kind of honesty. As a business model it seems to work, since people leave great reviews that hopefully bring more people in. Id like to see more of this business model and am very grateful when I stumble across it.

I stopped by without an appointment because the undercarriage covering on the front of my vehicle came loose and was rubbing against the tire and wheel well. The staff worked me in and fixed the problem with no charge! I would highly recommend this business--they helped an out of towner in need.

Has issue9 with the handicap ppl. They damaged my vehicle. In addition to, installing a fuel pump without a fuel gauge. Really? I am paralysed & in a wheelchair (all though, I am proud to say I still drive an SUV, & budget for mechanical issues). I had to return due to, I RAN OUT OF GAS, WHO KNEW, you could have a fuel pump replaced & a fuel gauge didnt come, Idk, STANDARD??? OHH, PLEASE KEEP ON MIND, upon return jaws charged an additional $85 to be informed I was out of gas && the fuel pump they installed didnt come with the gauge. BUT.... for an additional amount. They would gladly install a fuel gauge. If you are a person whom is NOTICEABLY HANDICAPPED DO NOT PATRON THIS BUISNESS. JUAT WANT MY VEHICLE FIXED RIGHT. Mike, advocate for handicap individuals will be in touch.

I called to get a quote on changing out the slave cylinder on my truck. I had to have it switched out a few months ago and the part was defective. I had paid $249 for that so, I called around. Midas said $299, seemed like most of the other places said the same. I called here and was told that they would have to change the clutch, plates, etc and it would be AT LEAST $1100..... Ummm. Yeah. NO!

I called and explained that my van was overheating and that we had used stop leak to fix the leak but that it was still overheating. I was told to bring it in and they would look at it for me. I had my son take it in because Im disabled. They didnt have time to look at it so my son had to call Lyft and pay for a ride home. Then they called and said they wont touch it because we used the leak fix and my son had to pay for another Lyft to go get the car! If you knew you wouldnt touch it with the leak fix, why did you tell me to bring it in? You wasted my entire day and my money. I could have found someone who would fix it, but no, I had to waste time and money going here. Thanx for literally nothing! !!!
