If you need transmission work you need to go to AAMCO at 41 & Harvard. Daniel and Jesse kept me updated during the week and were super nice. Also, it was not as expensive as I had heard from friends that that kind of repair could be. I went back today for a super quick visit so they could check the transmission fluid and be sure I was satisfied with how my car is running. I have never had that happen at any shop before. I was very impressed! I would definitely recommend them to anyone. I was very happy with every aspect of my service.

(3/29/2021) My transmission on my 2012 Dodge Durango RWD stopped going into reverse and in drive, I called AAMCO spoke with Daniel explain what was going on. I had my vehicle towed to the shop that evening the next morning by 9 AM they had it diagnosed, explain in detail the cost and how long my dodge would be in the shop. They finish the job two days ahead of schedule. I went back a week later for the fluid check they spotted a potential leak on the cooling transmission line and he went to head and took care of that. I was very skeptic on using any transmission shop but after working with Daniel I was very pleased and happy with the results would highly recommend using them, they keep you up-to-date on the status of your vehicle while it’s in the shop.

I had an 08 Nissan Altima that needed a new transmission. My car runs great now! And it was on its last leg. The guys at AAMCO were fast, friendly, and flexible. They cut me a deal because I paid upfront. I had to play phone tag between them and my step dad, but they were always patient and would call me back in a timely manner. I think it’s a solid place. I did have to wait longer than I wanted for the diagnostics, but only by a few hours. And when I got my car back it had some mud in it from the workers, but I didn’t mind that much, especially with how well they treated me throughout the process.

It’s a stressful scenario when your car breaks down in the middle of a pandemic. But Daniel and his team of employees made it a peaceful transaction. He made me appreciate and feel comfortable spending a large amount on services my car desperately needed. He was extremely fair on his pricing and efficient with the time I was without my vehicle. The guys were so honest and displayed perfect communication. They stay extremely busy but contacted me every step of the way to let me know what was going on. My cars going back to AAMCO for the third time now. I originally left a five star review. They told me it would be 5-7 business days and finished it in three. I went with a beefier package involving the guts of the transmission and a heavy duty torque converter. I paid $3000+ at the end of it. 3 weeks later I had shifting issues. I called AAMCO and they picked it up the next day. It sat there for a week before I had to contact the general manager to get it worked. Another week went by and this evening I was told they had finished with it finally. I drove it less than 20 minutes and it died at an intersection. These past two weeks I’ve almost lost my job and have missed out on close to a $1000 from missing work. If you have transmission troubles I recommend finding another company to go with.

Daniel is 100% the man to talk to if and when you have a transmission issue. Communication was A+, service was A+, and speed was A+. Once they had figured out that I needed a rebuild or replacement, Daniel laid my options out and was very patient when explaining the differences. Once we decided on a rebuild he helped me get financing to help cover the cost. Overall AAMCO on S. Harvard was the best experience Ive had with a repair shop, and will definitely be my first call should I need a mechanic again.

I had replaced my clutch master cylinder, and was still was having issues. I decided to call around and see if I could get info and quotes. To my surprise a lot of places wouldn’t service Volkswagen manual vehicles. AAMCO was one of the few that I had no issues with. They informed me my slave master cylinder was the issue ordered the part fixed within 2 days. Jessie was very professional and informative. Satisfied with the services that were done. It feels good to be mobile again.

Eric is one of the few people left who understand what excellent customer service is, and how that helps a business thrive. I found this auto shop in college when I lived nearby. Now I drive 25 mins from Glenpool just to have them work on my cars. They are professional, well priced, and fast. I couldn’t be happier with the service I have received and I’ve had three different cars in the shop in the last year. I will continue to bring my families cars here for care in the future.

As a single woman, sometimes it can be daunting walking into a repair facility. Aamco and Daniel never once made me feel uncomfortable, or like I was being taken advantage of. The staff was absolutely incredible. I walked in with heavy anxiety, after 3 weeks of buying a newer vehicle. This was the third auto repair business I had been in. As a blond senior woman, recently widowed, and financially strapped, I knew I may be seen as an easy target. I was but didnt expect the disrespect and total lack of customer service skills I had received from the first two businesses. Expecting more of the same, I was amazed when I was welcomed by Daniel at this AAMCO. Although he was busy, he immediately had my car in the shop being evaluated - for which I was not charged, reviewed what needed to be done in my level of understanding, and together through multiple phone calls and considerable time, we made financial arrangements to make the repair possible. I was anticipating what Daniel said would need to be done - but was very relieved at the cost after what these previous businesses had told me I had to come up with. All just amazing - I am not going anywhere else again.

I recommend Ammco.Not because of the customer service..Not because of the quality of work..Not because of the price..In fact, including the folks Ive recommended, the vehicles have all had to be returned for repair.. because a mount, or a gear shift comes off.. still makes the cluncking sound..not original spec transmission installed..n stuffMy truck had to be returned twice.. thats 3 times at the shop.Were all quoted a 3-5 day turnaround, right? In reality, make plans to be without that car for 8-10 days..for the first trip. Fyi- the 4 people I have recommended have ALL had to return their cars.. (one friend is there with a mazda 626 right now (3/30/21) for the second time..-motor mount not replaced properly)So yes, you may have a gear shift that comes out of the floor while youre driving, and sure, your motor mount may not be on right, making HUGE clunck when you drive, damaging who knows what, but its that piece of paperwork that makes it all worth it.The long period without a car, multiple times, weird new noises after the repair.. the dangerous test driving for weeks after..are all worth it, because of the warranty.Eventually, it will be fixed..not for cheap, or in a timely fashion, but fixed,..finally.

Absolutely recommended. Changed the clutch among other components in my car and kept me updated as to what was going on with it.

Mr. & Mrs. Scott, I sent you 2 emails to the email you provided on my review concerning my ranger & I havent heard from you. Ive heard from your GM who already dropped the ball when he briefly got involved in September then didnt reply to an email in October letting him know that the truck was still leaking. He wanted me to take the truck back to the same shop that couldnt fix it right every time they tried. He relented after I told him that it wasnt logical to do that & I wouldnt allow it, even if it meant me paying someone else to fix it. Were scheduled for Monday 12/11/2021 at a different shop. I need total accountability on your part, please. After 16 months of this, Im considering paying a different shop to fix my truck right. Please follow up with me.UPDATE: truck still leaks, hood grommets & console broken whilst in the care of the Broken Arrow shop, thermostat gauge not working after installation of radiator, it worked the day I brought it to the shop!

I dont normally write reviews, but I owe these guys. After truck was overheating I originally took it to the dealership and was told it was leaking coolant and quoted $3000 repair. Got a second opinion from AAMCO who determined there was no leak, only a small issue that they fixed that day free of charge. That was over a month ago and have had no issues since. Number one thing I hope for in mechanic is honesty and I definitely trust these guys.

Was charged $750 for a tune up and trans flush. Was way overcharged in car parts and when asked why I was told it was a standard practice, came he for years when Jerry ran it never would have never been done that. Lesson learned, will never return.

This location rebuilt my transmission 2 years ago. I was skeptical about leaving a review too early because I wanted to make sure the job was actually done good... It was so good I forgot about it for 2 years lol. My car has been running amazing ever since! Thank you guys for everything!

I’ve had two repairs here in the past month, one was something with my power steering pulley and the other was a pretty standard oil change, brake pads, and a couple of roters. I’ve worked with Jerry both times and he’s been great. Helpful and knowledgeable. I know nothing about cars but I felt he was honest with me. The best thing was that they diagnosed for free and were able to do the repair same day which no one else in town could offer. I’ve decided they will be my mechanic moving forward, no need to look elsewhere when you’ve had multiple good experiences, I don’t think there’s anything that could come up that they couldn’t handle quickly and fairly. The guys here are excellent! Great customer service!!! They have worked on all 3 of my trucks never had an issue after they fixed them! Did a new engine in one of my trucks because it jumped time and had a piston hitting. Truck runs excellent now and have 3 year warranty on a brand new engine! Do yourself a huge favor take your vehicle to them first!!! Trust me I learned the hard way!!!

So your transmission went out, we recently went through the same trouble and worrying that you are going through now, asking yourself “what next?, how much is this going to cost?, who does reliable work on transmissions?” Well luckily, Eric and his guys here at AAMCO transmission and total car care were the experts I needed, 9/10 time you get Eric on the phone and he is extremely friendly and professional and really just the type of guy who I want to have a hand in getting my car fixed. He takes the time to break down exactly what is happening and makes sure you are understanding what needs to be done, (unlike some other shops I’ve had the displeasure of going to that I won’t even get started on.) but In the off chance Eric is not around you’ll probably end up speaking with Jesse who is just as kind and professional. Eric called multiple times thought service to keep us posted with updates and let us know how everything is looking. AAMCO was also able to give us a finished by date and sure enough it was done. It made things extremely easy to arrange other methods of transportations, knowing ahead of time how long it would take. This place has been a dream to work with (as bad as car troubles are) and would recommend everyone to come here. Because once again, they are total car care!

When what I thought were signs of transmission issues starting, I phoned my Cousin in Phoenix, AZ. Hes an A.S.E. certified mechanic and has worked on the SUV when I lived out there. He listened to the list of symptoms and agreed they pointed to transmission troubles. He had worked at an AAMCO shop in Colorado and urged me to got to the one closest to me for several reasons. The main ones were: their nationwide warranty and they try to hire only the best available mechanics and offer them training and supervisory help. He cautioned me that due to the age of the SUV, a 2006, and that the model has been out of production for some time, parts might be hard to find. I hired this AAMCO and I am glad I did!Cousin was right in all the areas he spoke about. I have a firm nationwide warranty,. The staff at the shop did their best to repair the vehicle by the times I needed. There were difficulties securing parts as was predicted. They did their best to stay within my budgeted and estimated amount even with parts increases & unforeseen delays. There were small failures but I was informed and everything fixed right away. After a some weeks it continues to drive smoothly and quietly like it did when it was new.So I have thanked my Cousin for the great advice and am recommending Bo and the guys at this AAMCO for a quality repair job.

The car wouldnt shift into second gear and had the worst time moving from parked into first. It was just a problem. But, one day, I looked these guys up and I can officially say, theyre the best mechanics Ive ever had the pleasure to do business with. They were very articulate and detailed in their work. The free tow and diagnostic is a great perk. They fixed my truck within 3 days and my transmission was completely shot. Was a little pricey but waited on me after hours so I could come pick up my truck. Eric was really great.

I took my car in for an estimate to replace the Torque Converter on my 2015 GMC Yukon. I received the diagnoses from a local GMC dealer. The team at AAMCO educated me that the Torque Converter was a symptom and not the actual problem. AAMCO gave me an honest quote and rebuilt the transmission within a week. Their communication was top notch and their professionalism was excellent. I would highly recommend seeing these guys with any transmission problem.

I wish I could give this place 100 stars! I just moved to Tulsa from North Carolina and have had nothing but car trouble since I moved. My ignition coils had been miss firing because i got bad coils off amazon. I had gotten 2 replaced at another shop. They charged for a lot for the coil and for the labor. When the 3rd one started to miss fire, I went to purchase my own coil. I called to make an appointment...the refused to install that one and insisted I use the one they can get. I was very upset and looked for another shop. This Aamco has amazing reviews and rightfully so. He sat down with me and explained stuff to me and I felt comfortable that he was going to take care of me. He checked out the coil I bought, installed and made sure my spark plugs and other coils were working correctly. I am never going to another shop in Tulsa but this aamco on Harvard.Thank you thank you for helping me and my little car!!!

Great customer service, and definitely the place for transmission repair/replacement. I just relocated back after the army, and did not know where to take my wrangler after the transmission suddenly took a dump. AAMCO did a full transmission swap on my 4x4 Wrangler in less than one week, to include the weekend. Eric gave me options for the repair, and was extremely helpful throughout the process. Straight forward, no BS. Incredible craftsmanship and warranty... buy right, or buy twice.

I would like to start this review off by saying thank you to Eric and Kasey they were great. They are the true meaning of awesome customer service. I went in for a transmission problem. Eric gave me different options and talked me through the process. Also kept me updated about my car until it was ready to be picked up. I highly recommend AAMCO to anyone that’s looking for a mechanic. They do have free visual inspections.

I was provided a real printed legible quote. Work was scheduled quickly. Work was completed on schedule without issues. Received a call when work was done. Price never changed from the quote. Price was fair. I was completely satisfied with the rear differential pinion seal replacement. Other customers were pretty happy also when I saw them at the shop.
