Possibly the best Asian market in the city (at least that weve been to), but still plenty of room for improvement. This place is always a cluttered mess. Half the time there are dead fish mingling with the live fish in the tanks. Weve gotten ice cream before that had obviously thawed and been refrozen. Overall, not terrible, but Im still searching for someplace better.

Fresh fish...very fresh...like alive fresh..lol. And, now we own a crawfish. Great food choices in store. They have a great prepared food section. Wanna make up a story about fishing all day, but really just hang out with your buddies or go see a movie by yourself, and cover your story up with actual fish? They sell live catfish here. Done and done. Lol.

Wow, the great wall of ramen! I went in strictly for some ramen and boy do they have some choices! Its not the most organized of stores, but if you have any asian cooking needs, odds are they have it. Ill go back when I have more time, as its a little overwhelming and difficult to navigate, but Im a foodie and I want to try some things you just cant get anywhere else.

From Boba pearls to Semolina (pasta) flour, this is my go to place for same day hard to find items! The place is huge. Upon walking in, there is a short walk to the actual front of the store. Once inside the foyer but prior to reaching the Nam-Hai store entrance, youll see that to the left is an all glass wall with a full view of a Vietnamese restaurants dining room with guests and to the right, another glass wall showing the stocked shelves of the liquor store next door. Its a shopping mall type set up I believe.I was really surprised to find that they carry not just Asian specialty items but I noticed they carry items from other cultures/areas also. You can even buy a whole freshly cooked duck to go. Exotic produce and seafood are available also although Ive not needed to buy it very often. Two things that I do not like are 1)Its fairly dark and dim inside and it may just be that theres just so much stuff in there that (to me) it gives the place a bit of a dirty vibe. 2) The entire staff has always been very standoffish, unhelpful, and even rude at times. On one visit though, there was a really helpful man with a great attitude. He gave me the impression he may have been part of management. Overall, Id look here when you need some random ingredient and quickly - they probably have it!

The pros: bigger store, wider selection, carries hard-to-find items. The cons: inventory on the floor (hard to navigate), deli foods only so-so, not the friendliest workers, and the worst for me: no prices on more than half the store so that youre left looking for an employee or if all else fails, take it to check out and find out then only to eat the costs because you dont want to make a big deal about it or embarrass yourself by asking to put it back.During todays trip alone, the bahn mi was stale and dry, bland...hard to swallow. Bought a three-piece plastic colander (that is; bowl, colander, lid) but there was no signage to suggest that the lid wasnt included. Only when I got to my car did I realize I had no lid. Once I returned to the store to grab it, I was informed by the cashier that it is, indeed, sold separately. Not only did the colander set not have a price tag, neither did the lid. Come to find out they were both the same price? Prices, signs--good. Paying double what you thought you would for something--not so good.

I really enjoy this place, and their amazing food selection, and all that fresh produce. But far too many items have no price on them, or on their shelf. We decided a few years ago that wed never buy any of those items. Its disappointing that they dont seem to care about that when weve mentioned it to them.So they get two stars only for being apathetic about that. Otherwise, a solid 5 stars.

As others have said, this place is great for variety. However, a lot of items dont have prices on them, things are often disorganized, and there are a lot of leaks in the roof when it rains. Its a good place to come if youre looking for a specific ingredient that you cant find somewhere else. Its not a great place to do your regular shopping, unless you know the secret price code or something.

Okay store. Has alot of items but ALOT of items are either expired or worn out or not well maintain. The vegetables and drinks sometimes are warm and not kept cold so it CAN be a health hazard if it gets bad. But for real, ALOT of old stuff that needs to be thrown out like rotten fruits and vegetables. Alot of frozens are bad, especially some ice creams are so bad they are already melted before they were put in the fridge and taste old. Some frozen food like dumpling and buns are bad and some arent even tag with price and put in bags which isnt going to sell without knowing what it is and when. Very narrow alley and you have to mind others by scooting over because of so much overstock (do people really buy that much for there to be overstocks? Been here for years and never seen many people). Hot Food isnt good, taste cheap and poorly made compare to your average asian hot food from a cheap place.Like the bahn mi arent even close to other cheap bahn mi place, the hot foods arent as good as your regular cheap hot food. Always flies flying around the food which is also bad and can get someone sick. Try Yangs restaurant just a block down the street, they are good for cheap if you buy them early (dont buy late or you get the old ones that are tough cus it is always better right when it is hot). Some seafood at Nam Hai are dead and rotting already. ALOT of frozen food like pork are so old that they taste like bad old frozen food your asian parents kept in the freezer for months. And alot of the raw food on the glass shelf are days and days old so I recommen get your raw meat somewhere else. I like that it has lots of items and varieties like my noodles and snacks so I am happy for that. Other than that it is an okay store cus it has alot of things but it really needs to be check and maintain for the health of others and alot of food are bad already.

I wanted to love it.....the store is huge, but finding anything specific was difficult. It was like a thrift store- I spent lots of time looking through everything to find what I wanted. The store is not as clean as I would like, and some of the shelves are pure chaos. The produce section is large, varied, and offers many unique items. I probably wont be back, it is out of my way; what I shop for I can find elsewhere. I dont know for sure, but I suspect Nam Hai serves a particular population, which I think is great. This place is like an Asian Wal-Mart, I kid you not. They have great selections of oriental veggies, snacks, noodles, meats and all you can think of. This is my main go to place for oriental items in the Tulsa area. You just cant beat the price and the huge store. They also have a liquor store and pho restaurant inside the store. Its on a strip shared with a nail salon as well and a mattress store. They also have fish, crabs that are live and you can buy or if youre in to grab a fast bite, they also have a self serve food aisle that you can grab and go. Food had always tasted great to me so I have no complaints. Check out is fast and easy and youre on your way out!

When we were dealing the problem with the cashier, that rude one came out of her counter and grabbed the shopping cart then told the other cashier to refund our money. We absolutely love coming here. Their produce is huge and cheap, they have nice shitake mushrooms for a very good price as well as other mushrooms you cant find at normal grocery stores. You will never get bored of sauces with their selection. We have found so many things here that we just love. From our favorite soy sauce to our favorite steam buns. Theres an amazing ramen that you should definitely try, its easily our favorite and you get far more food compared to the junky ramen you can buy at Walmart. They do cost more but its totally worth it. Since they moved from the location near cicis pizza the shopping experience is a lot nicer. The smell isnt as bad but there still is a smell, they have fish so what do you expect right? Its probably twice as big as it use to be with more check outs. Its more of an explore yourself kind of store because of the language barrier but its way more fun that way. You wont always find something good but its fun to just try and see. Ive found things that I LOVED and look for every time without being able to find it again and Ive found things Id never buy again. Dont let the language barrier keep you away, you can absolutely ask for help and they will try their best! They are very kind and helpful and if you do have questions try to ask a cashier rather than a stocker- they seem to have a better time understanding. You can find stock pots big enough to fit your entire family in. If you want to try a steam bun to see if its your thing they sell freshly made ones near the registers as well as lots of other things that are super tasty and reasonably priced.
