There’s many good options and the owner is very fair. Everything is a great price and you’re sure to find exactly what you are looking for there. The owner takes his time with each customer and answers all your questions to the best of his abilities which I greatly appreciate! It’s nice to not know everything or exactly what you’re looking for and having the quality help that he gives. I highly recommend!

Absolutely the best camera store that I have been to. Monument Camera is an excellent store and resource for film photographers in the Tucson area. Lee is super knowledgeable and has a wide selection of cameras, lenses, and film. You can pick up anything from a entry level 35mm camera to more advanced large format field cameras. It’s also great to be able to support a local business as opposed to shopping online.

Monument Camera is a Tucson institution. And now under the management of a new owner, has really stepped up their game. Along with a huge assortment of vintage film cameras, they offer a large assortment of digital cameras and accessories as well. The new owner Lee, has a wealth of knowledge and is very helpful with all questions you may have regarding camera gear.

Great gear. Some of it is just awesome to look at. Making deals with the owner was a breeze.Only 4/5 because I was definitely sold a defective vivitar teleconvertor. There is no change at all in the lens’s when rotating through stops. I used it a few times and one day is just didn’t work. Was pretty mad. Still kind of an about the whole thing.Film selection is great. Camera knowledge and equipment is great. They do repairs and such, but they just looked at mine and said it was fine. Though with two black produced rolls of film, I’m specious about what they looked at. I did a full rundown myself and it looked good. So idk.Anyway I like the shop.Wish I could grab some new gear sometime and barter a bit more. Just hope I don’t get another lemon lens.Edit for the owner reply:Thanks for your response. I’ll be sure to stop by when I am able to. I’d be happy to explain more as well. But other than that, I really enjoy your shop and will be in again.

Great to have a real photoshop in Tucson! Awesome selection of cameras (35mm through large format) and an owner who both seems to love his work and is super-helpful. Particularly if you shoot film (or if youre interested in getting started but not sure how to do it), stop by and check it out. A fun browse even if you dont need anything in particular...

Best camera store in Tuscon and arguably the best in the southwest. Lots of cameras to look at and choose from fair prices on everything. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I came in to look at a couple film cameras and had a great conversation about cameras and film. Definitely recommend to any novice or experienced photographer or someone interested in the art.

Super happy to see the camera shop under new management. They’ve remodeled the interior and added a ton of new and refurbished products. Looks super nice. If you’re looking for new or refurbished film camera lenses, bodies or accessories, check these guys out. They have a bunch of 35mm film cameras in stock, including a few Canon AE-1 Programs and a Pentax K1000. I noticed they had medium format cameras as well, but didn’t get a chance to see the model. They also have 35mm film (Ilford HP5, Kodak Portra, Kodak T-Max) and a ton of new tripods, hippy straps, bags and stands. I’m looking forward to the opening of their photography studio...

Seriously, what a fantastic camera store. So many fun products and an amazingly helpful staff. The guy helping us wasnt pushy at all and genuinely helped us digital nerds figure out some film savvy stuff with no condescending tones or pushy salesman behavior at all. We got a filter, reflector and light meter (that he even taught us how to use) all for a great price. Definitely recommend this place! A++

Hands down my favorite photography store in Tucson! Good selection of new, used, and vintage equipment. Lens, cameras, film, accessories...huge selection. By far my favorite thing about this store is the helpfulness and friendliness of the the staff. Always courteous with answering my questions regardless of how basic or technical. When I asked for advice for Polaroids/instant cameras for my daughter they gave me the best advice even though it led me to buy a product from another store. Always respect a merchant with integrity.

I love local camera stores. You dont feel the pressure from a sales person to make a purchase. Also, its usually ran by people that have knowledge in the business. Granted, I have ordered most of my stuff from Amazon, because you dont pay Arizona taxes. I have, however, purchased several items from this place with 100% satisfaction.I just love their showcase of film cameras...takes me back to my childhood.

Ive been coming here since I found out about it early this year, Im a beginner in photography and the staff was able to show me what settings I needed my camera on for what I was doing, they had used lenses for micro photography I bought one, used color filters, which I bought some, they do know their stuff! Everytime Ive had a question or needed anything theyve been able to help me! I see the recent bad rating and I have to wonder if that person knows what theyre talking about? Because these guys definitely know what theyre doing, theres a reason theyve been in business for as long as they have! They know cameras, film and digital, they have hard to find items, new and used, make your own opinion of this place by going in and seeing them for your camera needs, because Walmart sure wont have the knowledge to help!

This place has horrible staff they do not know anything about cameras and needs to do an overhall in custimer service training plus they need to fix over 100 problems and that is from talking to the staff on the phone and trying to figure out there hours of opperation in wich there staff who refused to give me his name let alone show any king of custimer servise and many many other problems. I will never recomend this place to anyone and anyone who does should not be taken seriously, beause they are most likely employes of this place or paid to say encuraging things about it.

Came here on a Saturday and the store was not open. The posted hours on the door say 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. no signs or anything showing adjusted times. Call the store to see if there was a voicemail with our hours or saying that they would be closed, they dont even have one set up. I will not be coming back to Monument camera and will just buy my photography equipment offline, so much for supporting local business.
