I am super happy with the way my solatubes turned out! In fact, Ill be ordering more. The technician was fantastic !! (cant remember his name & cant read his signature on the order form). Very professional, cleaned up everything perfectly, and is a great representative for the company.

Thank you to John Vogel and his installer for providing knowledge with my selection of size and quantity to add a Solatube to a clients office remodel. The installer was professional and efficient. He was able to discuss the light needed for the space and did not try to sell me unneeded product. The entire process too about 2 -1/2 hours. So much light has been added and the slick little remote allows the light to be easily controlled. I comfortably recommend Sunshine Experts to my clients. And as a professional, their job well done makes me look good too.

We had a Sunesta SunStyle awning installed several years ago. Over time the two arms when retracted did not retract evenly (one stuck out about 8-10 inches than the other when fully retracted. I reached out to SunShine experts for some basic technical support and never received a response from them (after allowing a week to pass). I eventually just went on YouTube and learned how to adjust on my own. It just seems so typical that a company is 100% committed to get the sale but appears to be less so after the sale. This is not an indictment of Sunshine Experts but just an observation for those looking to do business with them. Given this is such a niche product I just feel like I am at the mercy of just a handful of companies and they kind of know this. I would likely recommend to my friends and family to look elsewhere because if our unit every needs expert support/repair my gut tells me I will have to find another vendor to work with (also, heard that Sunshine doesnt deal with Sunesta products anymore). UGH !!To those considering buying a motorized awning. It is such a niche product... buyer beware !!

Day of installation, I could tell these guys had no clue what they were doing. It took all day to install. Another worker had to come out the next day to fix all their errors. A month later, it fell out of the track. We didnt use the shade throughout the winter, but just last weekend we tried using it, and AGAIN it was out of the track. The guy (Caleb) who came out yesterday not only didnt fix the screen, but he ran over our expensive light fixture that borders our driveway and squashed a barrel cactus like a pumpkin. When I confronted the company, they denied any doing. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!!!! Im filing a complaint with BBB.

I would highly recommend Sunshine Experts. They went above and beyond! Their Customer Service was (and is) EXCELLENT. Every time I called, I was treated with patience, kindness and professionalism that has been difficult for some companies to provide during the COVID pandemic.

Sunshine Experts did a great job from the time I contacted them through the installation process. All of their personnel are great. And, the installer was very helpful and knowledgeable. He was also very efficient. And, he cleaned up before he left.I highly recommend Sunshine Experts.

Used Sunshine Experts last summer to make/install custom electric shades for my new patio extension ... 3 of the panels were over 22 ft. in length ... huge! They are AWESOME! best $ spent on AZ house so far! I use them every day now! They help keep my house cooler and have reduced my AC usage and bills!Shane was my project manager and he was EXCELLENT! He worked closely with my contractor to design exactly what I wanted. I am SO HAPPY with the sun shades and with the service from Shane and his installation crew! HIGHLY RECOMMEND Sunshine Experts!

While it pains me to write this I feel I must to hopefully prevent someone, anyone, from going through what I’ve been through! Sunshine Experts has always been friendly and responsive to the couple of issues I’ve had with their rolling screens and the solar attic fan. Well, that is, until the chips are down. Sunesta cannot repair, nor will replace a screen that has been faulty since install about 1.5yrs ago. I’ve contacted Sunshine Experts several times to see if they will stand behind the very expensive product they sold me. The best they will do is keep putting me back in touch with the Sunesta representative that is rude, condescending, dilly dallies on returning calls or emails, and cannot fix the screen! They will not stand behind the product they sold to you if you are having issues and no longer sell it! They told us they no longer sell Sunesta products because “Sunesta stole/ripped them off for more than$300k”. So, if you are considering going with Sunshine Experts, and live here in southern AZ, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take heed of this warning. Do not use them or do so accepting the fact they will play pass the buck. Now that my mother lives here I will be recommending her to Tuscon Rolling Shutters or some other company.

Friendly and helpful from the time the phone was 1st answered. We were looking for 3-4 solar tubes to be put in our home. We were able to get an appointment within a week. Jesus was there, being held up from his previous appointment he still did the installation, causing him to stay beyond normal hours. He was friendly, explained everything and did a great job! Highly recommend this company!

Just had a solar tube installed and we love it! Tons of natural light with no added heat. Jesus was our technician and he explained the whole process. He was professional and fast! The whole install took less than two hours.

I ordered a shade in January and was told 4-6 weeks. Heard nothing so I called and was told 8 weeks...then 10 weeks...then they didnt know. Each time it was a different story with just hold on a little longer. I had to dispute the charges with my credit card company to get my deposit back. New people working so when you ask for someone you have been talking to I was told I had the wrong number. Then was told someone would call me back which never happened. Dont take a chance on this company! I am not the only going through this. They order through a company in California and they havent a clue on when the production will happen. I really regret choosing this company. I wish I would have read the complaints on the Better Business website.

Sunshine Experts has moved. They are no longer on Thornydale. They are now around the corner at Ina & Martin, close to PepBoys. Google Maps hasnt updated yet. They were very helpful and have the exact tube light in stock that we were looking for.

My most disappointing company I ever dealt with. Order date Jan 9 2020 for $ 7,404.00 - down 4,000. It took 6 months and MANY unanswered phone calls to finally have someone show up. One day I called 4 times without receiving a return call.. I decided to take my car and drive to their address on the web site at Thornydale in Tucson to end up in front of a CLOSED office up for rent. They had moved I found out later - they never advised us of that fact.NEVER EVER use this company. Zero service. Too bad that the system does not allow Negative Stars.

Jesus and Zack were AWESOME! I have never had skylights installed in my home before. UNREAL the light they bring into the home!! Their knowledge of where to place them, what worked best for our home and the installation process itself was seamless. FABULOUS company and FABULOUS employees, would recommend always! Thank you Jesus and Zack!!!

I can’t say enough good things about this business. I wish all businesses operated like them. And Jesus was fantastic! He was friendly, on time, quick, knew exactly what he was doing and what I needed to know. He deserves a raise @sunshine experts. :) And if all that isn’t enough to be happy about...I love the light coming into my home now! I should have done it years ago!

Don’t ever use this company they are the biggest scram. They came out on October 7 2019 to measure and took a deposit of $3045.00. They said our solar shades would be completed in 4-6 weeks. Here it is May 7 2020 and we still have not received our shades. They have given us all kinds of excuses as to why they are delayed every month it’s a different excuse. Now they are not returning our calls and refuse to give us our money back.

What an impossible company to do business with.I told them initially I was ready to purchase and needed to sign a contract immediately because I needed the work to be completed by thanksgiving for when my wife was moving in. They gave me a rough estimate of $8,000-$9,000. If they couldn’t come out in the next day or 2 to do a design and firm quote, I was going to have to go elsewhere. They said they would come out on Tuesday and provide the quote on the spot. Tuesday came and no one showed up. I called them and they said I wasn’t on their list of appointments but they would fit me in on Wednesday at 7AM. The guy finally showed up at 8:30 without a call. We spent about 45 minutes and he said the job was complicated and he wanted his manager to come out. He called him and he said he would be out that morning. He finally came late afternoon and we went over in detail what I needed. He said he couldn’t give me the quote right away but it would be the next day, Thursday. Thursday came and went with no quote. I kept calling and got put off. They told me they would call first thing Friday and again didn’t meet their commitment. I finally got the quote Friday afternoon and it was not all like we discussed.The total quote was for $13,500. The quote included 1 motorized shade for $4,666 even though that shade was supposed to be fixed – which would cost much less. A 2nd motorized shade of $1,472 was also supposed to be fixed. An additional motorized shade of $2768 was listed at 9’ even though it was less than 5’. When I said, how can I make a decision when the quote is off and I don’t know how many thousands high it is, he told me it is not a quote, it is a worse case scenario. When I said that was not what I was told I would get, he hung up on me.I am working with over 20 different contractors on renovations to my house, almost all from Angie’s List and this is the only time I had an experience like this with and the only negative review I have written.I recommend staying away from this company as they do not honor their time commitments, don’t have the knowledge or expertise to give an accurate quote and don’t listen to their customers.

Amanda was great at explaining the equipment and process over the phone that we scheduled an appointment while talking to her. Jesus was our installer he was fabulous making sure that the placement of the tubes were going to give us the most light. We were original going to get 4 tubes but because of our homes floor plan we only got 2 because we had to much shade. Jesus made sure that we had the right products instead of selling us things that we didnt need. he answered all our questions and left everything clean I dont normally write reviews because Im to sure when I read the ones people leave are true, but i have no bad things to say. These guys were just fabulous and I would recommend them highly.

I had two solar tubes installed yesterday. This morning I walked into one of the rooms and thought I left a light on. I LOVE them! The technician was polite and competent. Mine was an unusual installation requiring on the spot custom modifications. He did a great job and left the place neat and clean. I think the energy savings will pay for them over the long run. I highly recommend John and his team at the Sunshine Experts!

As a prior customer I’ve been very happy with the look of the solar tubes in my home and the extra light it provides to the areas installed. The hallway and bathroom areas are well lit during the day and there’s no longer a need to use the light switches. Looking forward to adding additional solar tubes in my living room and kitchen. Very pleased with the look and efficiency of the solar tube lights.

Sunshine Experts is the absolute best for interior natural light and exterior awnings and sunshades! John and his team have placed multiple solotubes in multiple houses for us and they are fantastic to work with!! Starting with great pricing and very fast and professional staff (they clean up all their mess!!) to excellent follow through with everything I highly recommend them! And unlike our old skylights where you could feel the heat, the solotubes are already paying for themselves in lower AC bills.

By nature I can be skeptical of advertisements as per Sunshine Experts, but these folks surpassed my expectations for professionalism. All questions quickly answered, all promises kept, workmanship first-rate for Solatubes. Big Tax Breaks too! Fully recommended.

I simply wanted to know if they carried what I needed and received one word answers with plenty of attitude. Please hire personable front office/phone people, as that is the face of your company. Ill be taking my business elsewhere.

Cody did a fantastic job installing a 14 solar tube in our kitchen. Showed me pictures of the steps he took on the roof, insuring me nothing was out of order up there. Thats a win win for the business and the consumer. Im almost always a do it yourself guy but it was well worth it to have this installed. Now when wifey sees this, Cody will be back again at some point installing another one.

The technician who installed the Solatubes, Michael, was just fabulous. We had him install three tubes. He was very professional, explained why he felt each location for the tube was most effective. Did a good job of keeping debris to a minimum (if there was even any).My only beef is not with the Marana franchise but the tube company itself. The tubes default lens (no extra charge) splays the sunlight on the floor and walls in a weird pattern. I believe Michael used the term psychedelic. To get one of two alternate lens will set you back another $100. I wish the company would just increase the price $100 and include a less distracting lens.That said, were going to have at least two more installed in our home. Its unbelievable how much light they allow. I still occasionally make for the light switch, forgetting that its the tube thats illuminating the room.

I regret that this a negative review. I have never written one as I always felt that if one has nothing good to say, do not say it. But thistime I feel duty bound to do so because in reading the reviews thisCompany has received by supposedly ultra satisfied customers I just got the impression that we were not referring to the same Company.I have no issue with the installers as they were prompt and efficient. Nor the representative who sold me the product. He was easy to deal with and seemed trustworthy. It is the OFFICE with whom I have an issue.The girls were very efficient in giving me a run around. One of the issues was the automatic retriver which was missing. Thus I did not pay the balance due and informed the office. This was at the end of July. And now we came to the reason for this unsatisfactory review: balance due. The price for the awning was $2438 . I gave a deposit of $1200. Leaving a balance of $1238. Although I was told that I would receive documentation in a few days, it took a few weeks. The balance on the invoice was $1366.00. I called Dug and he told me to just pay as he had indicated as his quote was all inclusive Last night I received a call from the office informing me that the missing part will be installed today, and that I owed $1562.15. to be paid to the installer. When I told her that was not correct, she started tobreakdown the invoice, trying to tell me that I owed tax .I told her that was not so, and I was not paying more than I had been quoted by Dug.She put me on hold. When she returned she informed me that she spoke with Dug and that $1238.00 was correct. However, today I was given a bill for $1562.15. which of course I refused to pay. and to call the office. After a discussion the girl told him that actually the lady is correct, all she owes in $1238,. Well I won my case. But would I recommend this Company? Based on my experience its a definite NO. But if a person choses to deal with them, good documentation. is must.

Had 3 tubes installed by Sunshine Experts. They were on time, polite, and I am an experienced roofer so I watched the entire install. Did everything I would have done and more! Planning on getting some more installed soon, cant wait to see them again!

Grrr, Im a part time resident and needed to plan ahead to be in town to meet the estimator. I fly in specifically for the no-show appointment scheduled over 2 weeks in advance. They were NO help in trying to accommodate the no show. Dont waste your time! I would have ranked 0 stars bit no option for that.

I ordered my solar patio shades June 6th, 2019. I put 1/2 downpayment. To date Jan. 29th, 2020 I am still getting the run around that my shoes are almost. doe. when I asked for my deposit back, Im told the owner isnt in the office very much and I have to submit a written letter in order to get my money back!!!! I would NEVER NEVER recommend this company. I also have been informed that the company dent do business wit Sunesta anymore, The one star is too much for this company

Randy just installed my very first Solatube. Not only was Randy professional, he explained the product and the process in a very knowledgeable manner. I cannot even express the difference it made to bring the natural light into my master bathroom. I am so pleased with the outcome, that not only will I refer others to Sunshine Experts, but I look forward to having them back again.

Wonderful people to deal with, personable, quick, but very thorough and the price was right!!! All their work is guaranteed. Their other company, Sunesta, does remote control awnings. Very good quality and price. They are guaranteed for 8 years. Were getting one of those as well. 😀

The service with this company has been dismal to say the least. We placed an order for solar shades which cost us close to $4,000 and I scheduled an install a few months out for April 1, 2019. During the process of requesting HOA approval for the install, I made contact with the office to have them send me a picture of the screen fabric we selected so I could forward that with my request. After three phone calls, and no pictures, I conducted a Google search on my own and found the material which I sent to the HOA and was approved for the install. On March 29, I called and the company verified install on 4/1 beginning at 0800. On 4/1 I called at 0920 to check on the arrival time and was instructed they received the wrong screens. Somehow two different Hansons were ordering at the same time. Keep in mind I was not notified of this issue on March 29. I took the entire day off from work, and scheduled other service work at my home for 4/1, based on SE being there to complete the install. On 4/1 I was advised the company would contact the manufacture to request a priority rush on the new order in an effort to complete an install the following week. I called SE on 4/4 to check on a new install date so that my wife could take a day off from work. At that time I was told I would receive a call back. After not getting a call back, I called on 4/8 in the a.m. and was told I would receive a call back in about four hours. I called once again on 4/9, due to no response to both my 4/4 and 4/8 calls. I spoke with a female who stated screens would be in on 4/16 and set install for 4/17 at 0800. On 4/12, I called and advised that my wife was able to get off work on 4/17 to cover the install. In order to make sure things were going as planned, I decided to go to work late on 4/17. so that I could meet with the install team. At 0820, my wife called and was advised they would be at my home between 0930 and 1000. My wife called back again at 1015 and was told they were finishing up making our screens and they would be there now between 1130-1200. The installer did show up and advised the screens for the sliding door were not ready. As the install proceeded he noted three screens were too short, and he did not have enough hardware to install yet another screen. If it was not a day or two before temps reach 95, I would ditch the entire project.The Sunshine Experts mission statement states Customer service is not only our #1 priority but is our lifeblood. If that is the case, this company is in critical condition.

We move to Scottsdale two years ago and finally decided to do some much need home improvements to our new house. We had four Solatube skylights in our previous house when we lived in the Bay Area so solar tubes for a great choice for the new casa.Sunshine Experts were professional and friendly in allowing us to ask many questions and provide the best prices. They gave us the need forms for the 55% tax credits. Cody was on time and cleaned up all the little pieces that were created during the installation. He completed two tube in less then four hours.Our bathroom looks amazing and our pantry is much brighter so now we our considering one or two tubes for the kitchen.

Originally, I had some issues with the installation of my solatubes; however, after a call to the company, they sent someone out to take a look at the tubes. Cody took care of the issues and showed me how to clean the tubes--should it ever require cleaning. Thank you for your patience and good customer service!

Sunshine Experts, LLC was quick to respond to our call, scheduled a time that worked for our office, and Shane was professional and friendly during the appointment! We would definitely use them again.

Very satisfied with awning. However, 6 months later we noticed it didnt automatically retract during a significant wind. I called office to ask if it should be retracting. Person who answered said he wasnt an awning expert but would ask someone else. Answer was yes it should be but a service call would be over $100 dollars. I said Wait a minute, it is only 6 months old. Reply was, well if it is defective, it would be covered by warranty. I said go ahead and set up a service call, thinking it would be in a day or few at the most. Next available appointment was almost 4 weeks later (what the ....). I set the appointment and began to stew. Is this a known problem? Have others had the same problem? I turned to my friend, Google, for some assistance. Lo and behold I found the instruction manual for the wireless motion sensor. It has batteries and a sensitivity dial. No one showed me this or mentioned it during install or during my phone call. Guess they would rather charge for a service call instead of telling the customer how easy the fix or maintenance is. This needs to be a checklist item during installation. Take the cover off and show customer the batteries plus the sensitivity dial. If that had been done for us you would have gotten 5 stars.

Michael was very knowledgeable and provided us some great details about some of the options and locations for Solatube skylights. He installed one in the hallway and two in our kitchen where he removed the ceiling can lights and now we have a great functioning lighting system. The sun light from above is so much nicer the way light lights up the wood cabinets and our granite countertops.Sunshine Experts provided the paperwork for the tax credits so we had one more installed this last week and look forward to the large tax refund in February.

The only reason this is getting a 2-star review is because of the excellent work by Jesus for the Solatube and Randy for the sunscreens otherwise it would be a 1-star.We contracted for 3 sunscreens to be installed on our home patio. Lets start from the beginning and Ill keep it as short as possible while trying to communicate the overwhelming frustration in working with them.Sales - First off the salesman, Shane, lied to us about the wind rating on the screens saying they were good to 90mph which we thought was very impressive. Upon reading the back of the contract, in very small print, they are good to 45mph and learned that they struggle to move in anything above 20mph. Then he grossly mismeasured the installation requirements which required the installation crew to get creative (see pictures).The Dreaded 2 Weeks - be prepared if you hear the 2 week statement. Our installation was scheduled to be completed before Memorial Day - they just finished it on 7/22... No communication unless initiated by myself and whenever I spoke with them it was 2 more weeks...for almost 2 more months! At one point I learned that they have only 1 contact at Sunesta who went on vacation and they didnt know anyone else to call - this in itself resulted in a 1 month delay...during the same time I was promised answers next week.Some of the receptionists are just plain rude. I heard I do the ordering so I know what is going on here...only to have 1 person cancel an installation appointment and then get a call 30 minutes later from someone else confirming the appointment.When the installation was finally completed we have 2 screens with the same fabric and 1 screen with a different fabric (very close but not the same).Overall, I wont recommend them. The frustration and outright lies are just not worth it...Update:1/17/2020 - We now have torn fabric on one of our screens. Sunshine Experts has broken their contract with Sunesta and are not honoring the warranties claiming that even though we signed the contract with them it is Sunestas problem. I just heard that as a customer I have to call Sunesta and log a claim. Honestly, in my opinion, this is a completely disreputable company.Oh and after I made the first post Sunshine Experts called me and offered me a free SolaTube if I removed or edited my comment...

We LOVE our Solatubes!! We had 3 of them installed back in 2014, and its just incredible how much light they let into our house. We have few windows, so it has really made a difference. We turn on lights a LOT less now, saving lots of electricity.Like many in Tucson, we had an invasion of false chinch bugs recently. It was awful! Millions of them outside our home, and then they got IN. So gross and time consuming trying to vacuum them all up. We realized (or thought we realized) they were getting in via the solatube. We taped plastic up all around it and it caught hundreds of them.Jesus came out today to check the seals. He found the seals on all 3 to be good, but he reinforced them anyway. He inspected further and found that the bugs are in our attic area, and following the lights in our bathroom, made their way down to the tube via a crack in the attic area by the tube.He went back up on the roof and taped plastic to all of our vents for exhaust fans, etc. so they couldnt get in anymore. He then cleaned 2 of solatubes on the inside, which he didnt have to do. He was ready to clean the really nasty one (at 6pm no less!), but we didnt want to un-do our tape and have all the still-living bugs get loose. Well have the attic bombed with pesticide and hope all will be okay in a couple weeks.Jesus had a great personality and work ethic. We are impressed with the service and people at Sunshine Experts.

Price and Service were incredible. We love natural light. I might have to do some more.

Love the Solatubes! they came out for an install dispensed up in time window stored gave me the option on where to install, completed the install and were very clean. Solitude is top rated skylight in the world and the people at Sunshine industries are unbelievable at what they doHighly recommended to all.

We had 2 Solatubes installed yesterday, while our re-roofing projectis going on.I just wanted to say that we had the best experience with Sunshine Experts! First off the staff have all been professional, clear, and friendly. We had to coordinate timing with roofers, and I thought it was going to be stressful, but not at all. They took care of the coordianting with our roofing company.It all turned out perfect! My husband met Michael at the house to approve placement of the tubes, and he installed them right then and there. It all went smoothly, and my husband said Michael was a great guy on top of it!When I got home from work I was blown away how much different our bathroom / master closet looked!!! Major upgrade!We are very happy with our new Solatubes!My only regret is that we didnt do before and after pictures!!Thank you all :)

When I heard about the sunshine experts from a friend I was skeptical. I initially wanted skylights, but then Jesús showed up and was so knowledgeable and showed me before and after pictures of some of the solatubes he had installed and I was sold. He came around 9am and was done by noon. He installed 2 14 solatubes with the nightlight. I absolutely love them! The bring in so much light in my kitchen now.And Jesús was awesome. He was very professional and personable and showed me all that he had done to my roof and ceiling. Not only do these get me a tax credit, but theyll save on my electric bill and they come with a warranty. I couldnt have asked for a better deal. Thank you guys and a big shout out to Jesús!!!

I am unsatisfied with my $867 skylight. Partly due to cost, and partly due to location that was recommended by installer. I specifically told him what area I was trying to brighten, and due to his advice, the goal was not achieved. The biggest part of my dissatifaction came with a bait and switch method they used to get $97 additional out of me. They installed the skylight with a lens that created a rainbow/marblized look on the floor that NO ONE would like, then convienantly tells me theres a better lens available, one that gives me the light AS YOU WOULD EXPECT IT TO, and then tells me if I want it, I have to pay an additional $97 to get it. Like Im going to say, no thanks, I want the lousy one. It basically forces you to pay $97 more dollars or get a rediculous light pattern projected onto my floor and kitchen countertop. I would not recommend this company.

Michael, one of the Solatube installers, went the extra mile for my installation! I wanted 3 tubes installed but unfortunately, the duct work in the kitchen ceiling prevented them from putting one there where I wanted it the most. He mentioned that the ducts could be moved, but I suspected that it would cost quite a bit of money to do that. During the course of the installation, a local HVAC truck pulled up across the street. Michael took the initiative to go talk to the tech, asked him to come over to check out the situation, and he was able to provide me a quote on the spot to move the duct work (only $250!) So they installed the other 2 in a timely, professional manner (on one of the hottest days in June) and then came back a week later after the ducts had been moved for the 3rd. I love the results of the 3 solatubes and am very impressed with the company - I highly recommend them!

Ordered in July, its now October and still no work done. It was a small job and they keep telling me they are waiting on the materials. Very disappointed.
