Were building a home, and we came to Ciot under the recommendation of our Builder due to the very rare type of material that we were looking to put in as a countertop. It is a specific type of granite that has labradorite inclusions and is quite beautiful and rare. we could not find it anywhere other than this place. If youre looking for something special, overwhelmingly this is the place to go.We picked out different slabs here, and due to a snafu with the computer system, the slabs we picked ended up being sold to someone else. This was pretty frustrating, But despite that, Ciot took responsibility for the mistake, and the employees worked exceptionally hard to make it right.We worked with Charles, Nina and John on our visit.When we initially had problems, I almost walked away from the deal. But of everyone we worked with, Nina actually stepped in and made it right. If it wasnt for her we probably wouldnt have done business.Ultimately, we left feeling very good about what we selected, having our slabs properly reserved, and having paid a fair price for them.Ciot is not where I would go to find $10 a square foot remnants. This is a high class place that has materials unlike other stone vendors in the Michigan area. If youre looking for something special, this is the place to go. Additionally, I feel like they are good to their word and took good care of us as patrons. They made mistakes, and anybody can make a mistake, but they put a significant effort into making it right. And for that Im quite grateful. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

I went on a tour of the Ciot Detroit showroom last week and it was amazing. The products are so beautiful and Kat was quick with the answers to all my questions about them. She was also extremely helpful with brainstorming ideas for a current project Im working on and sending me samples ASAP. Great experience overall!

I sent my wife to order some backsplash that we really liked. On the Display board it was 1‘ x 1‘ so I ordered in square footage what I needed and when I got it it was a third of what I needed a set of pieces 7“ x 7“ never seen it before been a builder for 30 years but they were really nice and said we can order more for another $2300. I think it’s a little deceptive

RUN. far far away from this business. They have absolutely no interest in mind for you, their only interest is their client (the granite company you’re working with). Which, If the granite company screws you over (not an uncommon problem) they will make it very clear who’s side they’re on and they will not give you any information about where your slab is, if it was ever picked up or even change out a broken slab. Honestly, I didn’t expect anything from them as they are only providers of material but their unwillingness to help made me HATE this company. Never ever ever again. It’s pretty tho :)

I work for a custom home builder and have placed several orders with Ciot. I have always had a great experience. Itchel is the best! She always responds quickly and works hard to make sure our clients are 100% satisfied with their experience as well. They have a huge selection and can supply your needs with many projects around your home. You should go see what they have to offer. You will be impressed!

This warehouse is amazing - within 3 rows we had multiple options to ask about. Once Christina assisted us - she asked details about the project and our price goals - and was able to direct us to options that fit our parameters. My only wish - that I could have viewed the actual slab I was reserving - the detail that pulled me in on the visible slab was unfortunately not on the slab I received. Nevertheless my kitchen looks beautiful!

What kind of place would make you check in, wait for help for 30 min, then tell you they have no one to help you for the remainder of the day? Well that is Ciot. I felt judged, unaccepted and not worthy of their help. While I know what customer service should look like, there was none here. In fact, I’m ready to spend tens of thousands of dollars on a new home stone, and they will not get that business because of their condescending manner. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else. I am disgusted.

I’m a builder. Most tile and granite shops carry the same stuff... but Ciot carries so much more high-end material than everyone else that, if you have cutting-edge design in mind, there’s no other place to go. Their designers are second to none... they even help me pick from paint and flooring swatches in order to best compliment the material selected. Definitely worth making them your primary source

Wonderful experience. Dorina has always done a great job with helping my company with our needs. Dave is a great guy in the warehouse and very resourceful for all kinds of information. Have been working with this company for nearly a decade. I have watched it grow from a smaller operation to a very impressive large scale production. All while still keeping the customer service like a small mom and pop shop. I spent nearly an hour with the owner Benny last week. Very down to earth great guy, very helpful with planning out my future projects. Nothing but great things to say about this company!

Itchell was so wonderful to work with at Ciot Troy. I had several projects I needed tile for, a design concept in my head that I didn’t know how to translate into conceptuality and she helped from start to finish. She helped me with tile, grout and trim for our fireplace, backsplash, and 3 different bathrooms with ease. She was also able to make sure each of these projects didn’t clash so our home had a flow so it made sense. She does such a great job that I find myself going back to her over and over again. CIOT has a wide variety of selections for any application. As a development company building a custom $3m dollar home, an apartment community, or my own home...they provide multiple options in different price points. Marina makes the process seamless and is a great communicator!

I highly recommend Ciot. First off, their showroom is stunning (both of them) and a sight to see. The salesperson we worked with had great style, recommended a perfect slab for our mudroom and kitchen buffet, and made the overall experience a lot of fun. Quality was top of the line. You can get easily overwhelmed with the selection process of the tiles, grout, profiles, curb, threshold, water proofing materials etc. This is when a good and knowledgeable sales/service person makes a huge difference and Marina is that person. Horrible service. No follow up. Placed and payed for a tile order Dec 2019. Still don’t have it July 2020. Called for status. They couldn’t locate. Finally get it and it’s wrong size not what was ordered. Still waiting for them to fix. No accountability. No one returns calls. Second time dealing with them. Last time ended up going somewhere else. Should have done the same thing this time. Chances are the product you want is somewhere else by a different name and you can actually get it on time. If they put as much work into their service as their showroom they might be good. Don’t be fooled by their sales floor.

Great place for a variety of tiles! Amazing collection, and high quality tile perfect for any job. My experience here was very easy.As a designer, I am always on clock and time being precious between jobs and on the road. Itchel was my sales associate, and she was very knowledgeable around the store, and quick to respond to my queries. She helped me pick my tiles fast, and kept me updated through the entire time regarding order status and delivery. I will definitely work with Itchel and Ciot again!

We had been looking for a backsplash for several weeks to go with the new blue dune granite. We looked online, at typical big box stores and contractors stores. Our granite installer told us about Ciot and I went there when I was downstate.Peter was very helpful directing us to what not to use and what we should look for to compliment the granite. With the purchase of the recommended stone, we can finally close out the project.

I honestly found my experience very underwhelming. We used Ciot at the recommendation of our tiler. When we got there for our appointment, we were ignored by all staff except for the receptionist who was not knowledgeable about tile (not that she needs to be). Once we did get waited on, after a half hour of being ignored, we showed what we wanted and were offered a sample. They went back, grabbed a sample, found it didn’t match, and went back to try another. We were then told the sample was wrong and not to worry about it. Well now our tiles came in and of course they are the sample color, not the color of the display. In the end it’s just for our shower floor, so not that big of a deal, but I’m disappointed in the experience as a whole. I do not intend to return and would not recommend this store to others.

Ciot is the stone candy store. Just ahead of Halloween I dropped in to view the latest in product fron this industry leader. Itchel (like Michelle without the M) took me through the welcoming showroom and thwn on to view slabs too. The selection of granite. Quartz, marble, larges format porcelain exquisite tile and more is unmatched. Seeing a hydrowashed granite brought the idea of textured stone as a jute-like option for walls. Her care helped me best discern what was best to update my kitchen & 3 of our bathrooms. Thank you!

DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT EVER BUY FLEXCOLOR GROUT YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!! DO NOT LET THESE DESIGNERS WHO HAVE NEVER INSTALLED A TILE OR GROUT IN THEIR LIFE CONVINCE YOU WHAT TO BUY!! THEIR TILE RECOMMENDATIONS ARE OK BUT THEY ALWAYS PUSH THE MOST EXPENSIVE GROUT AND AS AN INSTALLER I WILL TELL YOU FROM EXPERIENCE DO NOT EVER GET FLEXCOLOR GROUT OR ANY OTHER PREMIXED GROUT!!!!! EVER!!!! Ok i hope you listen. The premixed grout never fully dries, no matter what brand, no matter what store no matter what company all pre mixed grouts will never harden and this causes it to break apart and erode away just look it up on the internet even though i know from experience. Months later i go to the job and can scratch away the grout with my nails, secondly your installer will hate you for buying it, all pre mixed grout dries fast and leaves a shiny sticky residue on matte tiles, you can follow directions and even take precautions and still run into problems.... do not do not let these money hungry commission paid designers push these expensive unnecessary grouts on you. Simple works perfect. The extra benefits of power grout dont work as they state but it is slightly better than standard grout but no where near worth the price they sell it for compared to standard. Sorry for the long rant but Im trying to save you money, headaches, and time. And dont believe whatever bs the designers or owner will say after you see this review because almost all tile guys will tell you the same and one guy accidentally told the owner who had the grout created how much it sucks without knowing he was the owner of ciot who was visiting during the renovations.

I called Ciot and told them I need tile for my kitchen floor and backsplash. I’ve never picked out tile before so I told them I was going to need some help finding something that would go with my cabinets and granite countertops. The lady that answered the phone set me up with a appointment with Dorina. When I arrived for my appointment she asked me a few questions about my house and I showed her what my cabinets and granite looked like. Dorina was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions. She help me find tile that I really like and was extremely helpful. In my opinion she went above and beyond by helping me pick out a suitable color of paint to go with everything!

Worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. Will not even waste my time going in to too much detail. Wife and I were dressed pretty casually. We were there prepared to spend $25,000 for a new build. Half hour into our walking around we had exactly zero people look us in the eye and say hello. Took our business where it is welcome.

After reviewing stone materials for our new kitchen at multiple sippliers we visited the Ciot facility in Troy.An experience that I would recommend time and time again to anyone interested in stone for counters.The staff were immediately helpfull, questioning us on our thoughts for colors, styles, existing home features, etc., so they were able to make appropriate recommendations . my family couldnt be happier with the information and slab choices they were able to direct us too.so what we liked were: knowledge, insight, at the facility the large quantity/quality of materials. and immediate service. WOW. We did see similar materials to that which we chose at prices some what lower, but similar wasnt, the same.strong recommendation!!!

I went in looking for kitchen tile and counter. Ciot has a lot of quality selections. Itchel was fantastic to work with. She is very knowledgeable, professional, patient and creative. Ciot had an amazing showroom and an even more impressive warehouse. They were recommended by our designer Renea, from Design By Choice. At Ciot we worked with Ichelle to pick a countertop for our kitchen remodel. She was extremely knowledgeable and very patient with us, even when we had to go back because we were having trouble making a final decision between two beautiful pieces of quartzite. We’re very excited about our final choice and I can’t wait to see it all done!

I was skeptical to go to Ciot to look for countertop slabs because of some negative reviews I read online as well as the fancy showroom which sometimes implies that items can be overpriced. But I also knew they carried many slabs and I wanted to make sure I found what I wanted. I went to 4 slab warehouses and Ciot was by far the nicest with the largest selection. When I called in advance to make an appointment the staff were very helpful - they confirmed that they indeed had the slab colors in the warehouse that I was hoping to see (so I didnt waste my time driving) and they set me up with a personal appointment with a salesperson, Peter. He was very knowledgeable and helpful and did not pressure me in any way. He even gave me several samples to take home and keep. I have not put money down on a slab yet but so far I feel my experience at Ciot has been excellent. Their selection also of porcelain tiles (for bathroom or backsplashes) was very impressive, especially if you have a large budget. ;)

You can trust Ciot to do it right. They have it all...quality product, great selection, knowledgeable staff and excellent customer service.

Would give it 0 stars if that was possible. Used their mapei flexcolor CQ premixed grout and it stained pebbles that were sealed and it dried up in the time I grout a 4x4 section really tough on the surface and took twice the scrubbing and twice the time on sponging it. When I went to return the unopened container they said it was unreturnable. Could find much better products at virginia and other tile supplier companys. Been doing this job for 10 years and never dealt with worse customer service

Salesman was so nice helping me pick out a marble threshold for my bathroom project. He asked me questions about what colors I wanted to bring out in my tile sample that I brought with me. Then he went in the storeroom and brought out a couple of thresholds. When I still wasnt sure which matched the best, he brought out 2 more thresholds. Very positive experience and such nice staff. I bought 2.

I picked out my granite and was told 1 day later that it was sold to another customer and that I would need to come pick out another piece.So I took my business somewhere else down the road.
