I bought a used car and took it to Cottman for a diagnostic. Tom was the person who worked on my car and I had a great experience overall, which is rare to say about car service these days. The staff treated me with courtesy and consideration, my expectations were set appropriately (I didnt feel tricked), the work was done in a reasonable amount of time and for a reasonable price. The office may not look shiny, but the people and the service are great, so Ill go back next time I need work done on my car. Highly recommend them!

Just had my 1993 Ford Conversion vans Transmission rebuilt. Roland explained in detail the process as well as providing a accurate estimate of all work that was to be performed. The rebuild was done in a timely and cost-efficient manner. The Van runs magnificently. I had a good feeling from the start after speaking with Roland over the phone and upon dropping it off. Not often do you find an individual who will take the time to explain everything to you in a manner that you can understand. The master mechanics who worked on the Van were top-notch well seasoned professionals who not only repaired the transmission but brought to my attention other critical and non-critical issues that required attention. I have been to many repair facilities over the past 40 years and have never been more satisfied with the over-all process from start to finish. This is the place to go!!!

Roland at Cottman and the rest of the employees there are top notch. 100% honest too. My father had a transmission rebuilt there and he recommended them to me. I could not have been happier with their honesty and service. Very thorough and take the time to explain things to ya. Would 100% and WILL go back again for tune-ups,etc.

My car had a major failure with the throw out bearing on a Monday, and had the car towed there same day. The staff was very helpful and informed me about everything they were doing, and told me what it would need. They had the car fixed, and ready to go one day later. Super fast, very fair price, and got me on the road again fast. Highly recommend and will go here again in the future if I need to.

These guys are excellent. Unfailingly honest. The gentlemen at Cottman (Roland) will take care of you like they have known you for years. I took my car in for an engine light. I brought my car here after getting a $320 quote from another shop and wanted a second opinion. Long story short, it was only a misplaced relay and not the shift solenoid as told at the first place. They didnt even charged me. I stood there confused. They wont press you to make unnecessary repairs. I wouldnt go anywhere else.Trust worthy, quality work, no complaints, highly recommended!

We brought out sons 1995 Jeep Cherokee in to be looked at. We suspected it might need a new Flexplate & had gotten a price from another shop of $700.00. We called Cottman & Roland said, it might not be that, it could be a much less expensive repair, come on in & well evaluate it for free. My husband dropped it off & said if its under $200.00 do the repair, a few hours later Roland called to say it was lose bolts in several places w/the trans & torque converted and he had it all fixed & ready to go. We didnt have to wait for another day, after the initial evaluation, he didnt try to up-sell us on things we didnt need. He even told us that the transmission was in good condition & had been worked on before and that the motor & trans in this old Jeep would run for another 200K miles. This gave us some peace of mind about our teenage son driving it.He was honest, trustworthy, a man of his word, polite and courteous. New customer, came in for an oil change. They were timely, made me an appointment as soon as possible, and provided grear service while i waited. Price was definitely good too. Also theres a cute dog behind the front desk so bonus stars for him.

Thought transmission was not working properly. They ran a diagnostic test which showed no transmission problem. Later learned the problem was the rear brakes locking at times. Although needed no trans work, appreciated their honesty.

Got my trans rebuilt here. Brought it back for a couple additional repairs and they told me one of what I thought was a required repair would be unnecessary, saved me a bit of money. After a dealer said my car had a bad torque converter $1900 fix.I brought it to these guys. Shorty they assured me that nothing was wrong with the trans and I only needed a new IAC motor $150 fix. Honesty :)
