Whose brilliant idea was it to move everything to different aisles right before the holidays? Your employees dont even know where anything is, so they cant help you find anything. Couldnt you have waited until after the first of the year? Shopping at this time of year is crazy enough, we dont need to play hide and seek while shopping. VERY FRUSTRATING!

My mother lives and dies by the Safeway lol. They have a lot of great prices, the food always seems fresh and the workers are quite nice and knowledgeable. Im normally in here for a good 30 minutes, just because Im looking and trying to decide what is the best thing for my dollar. My mom could be in here for much longer though and talks to all of the employees. Its a very clean store.

Id rather go to Raleys. Seems to be cheaper for my needs than Safeway. But considering that its a mile away from me, it is useful for certain things. The meet selection here is sub-par. The produce could be better. Typically this place seems to be understocked on Sundays. Ill go back, but only because its close to where I live.

This Safeway is very poorly understaffed, Less staff = bigger bonus for management running a skeleton crew= poor customer service. Management needs to be replaced due to poor customer service issues which leads to loss of sales; Less sales = less profits period.The products are over priced you can find the same products/same brand at other stores WinCo/Walmart/Food 4 Less etc for example paying 1/3 less on the shelf price. That adds up at the end of the month.The only reason this location does well is the fact that Mountain House a community of 25,000 residents (with no amenities in the area) is less than 12 min drive away will come to Tracy & shop here but that is about to change with them breaking ground on new facilities in there area.This location is also notorious about not rotating their products like meat, cheese, milk, yogurt & other items so ALWAYS CHECK THE DATES on your over priced products before purchasing them; Otherwise you may get fermented meat or moldy cheese or bad bread.The general staff is fairly friendly & you have a 50/50 chance of them actually knowing where & what products they have in their own store since they have a high turnover rate of new staff. (Seems like someone new every week)They are notorious at pointing to which Ilse your product maybe located at rather than guiding the customer to that 1 particular item that customers may have trouble finding. Overall experience negative.

Safeway is the best store on the West Side of Tracy. The produce is good-never have I witnessed rotten fruits or veggies out for display, it does not smell in the store even by the meat and fish department, dairy department, or deli/bakery area. I love the quality of meats; however, the available choices are sometimes slim pickings. Now Safeway is $$, but of you take advantage of the Safeway Club card U Rewards and their weekly and monthly sales and $5 Fridays, you could save a lot of money and end up paying the same price as if you shopped at Winco or FoodMaxx ( I ❤ both of these stores, but lets face it...some of their item quality doesnt touch Safeway quality). Now it sounds like a lot of work to take advantage of the savings and rewards, but honestly its as simple as downloading an app and using it while in store. Just use the built-in barcode scanner and check if your item is on sale...its really that simple. Or browse through the ads within the app and click on the coupons you would like to use and it automatically is applied at check out when you use your member rewards number (which is usually your home or mobile phone number) and the savings are applied. To top it all off, you can still use manufacturer coupons and coupon doublers if you are that crafty with the couponing....I am not...but that is another story. So basically, good quality food product, service is always good, and the place doesnt smell...plus the savings are super easy to use and you get special freebies when you rack up your special rewards points...again another story, but it is a good one. I always like going to this Safeway Store. I usually get there once a month. The workers there, are always so friendly, & very helpful.Only sad part about going there. Is that theyre always out of my favorite cake. The one with the fresh strawberries on top. Other than that bit of depression, I love the vibes when shopping there.

They Usually always have what I need and the employees are very helpful and smile which gotta say makes your shopping more enjoyable (because lets face it who loves to grocery shop) then when they are rude and asking a question is like asking them to solve a mathematical equation.

Had to get the sheeps milk for the job, walked in and in about 30 minutes walked out. Easy

Its my first time in TRACY Safeway, looks clean and orderly.

It was not good. I dont like the new app. I couldnt find the coupon for the corn and the lady at check out was rushing me.

Deli staff did not wear mask while dealing and touching food. 2 different occasions I have had to ask for them to wear a mask

Safeway is one of my favorite grocery stores. However, when you order for pickup or delivery, they need to be current on whats available. They shouldnt list items that arent available, even though one has the option to select substitutions!

Where are all experienced deli workers that they used to have at the Tracy Safeway. It’s really disappointing to order a sandwich and it turns out horrible. I don’t want to complain because I feel bad it’s teenager that might have just not been trained well or didn’t pay attention. This past year this Safeway went from being the best one I knew of to one of the worst. No one answers the phone in the deli to order any party platters they all avoid you when you walk up it’s not like it used to be that’s for sure.

The have the best pharmacy and Cold cuts and bakery

Went there for my covid shot. Well run pharmacy and injection went quick and smooth.

My trip to Safeway was pretty good, although they were out of a few items I. was looking for. I guess a person needs to shop in the morning. The people are always kind and caring.

It was nice shopping later in the evening cause there were fewer people. Most people were wearing masks but oddly enough the people up on the platforms that were changing light bulbs were not wearing masks kind of weird. Staff was helpful and probably 90% of the stuff was in stock.

I have been going to this Safeway for at least 20 years. Its always clean and well stocked. The checkers and workers are helpful and professional and always available. The prices are reasonable for groceries and good quality. My only complaint is that they do not have enough of a selection of organic fruits and vegetables. They do have a good amount just not enough for me and sometimes the organic stuff is already bagged and you cant just buy a few. Thats my only complaint. Otherwise they are a great grocery store. Ive never had any issue with anything. They quickly refunded an item if its not fresh or not what I had expected. Its local and close so of course I want to support their business.

Manager is extremely rude on nights, she gets mad and accusatory every time we have coupons or see a sign that hasnt been changed for a sale thats no longer going on. Not our fault they cant get their stuff together. We bought a bunch of on sale items to get another item and we forgot to do something so we wanted to return the items and re buy them to get the free item, but they wouldnt let us get the free item even though it wouldnt have cost them anything. Instead, they chose to throw away or put back the food just to spite us. We only come for the sales, otherwise, we would never return. Not sure we will after this last experience.

I come here often when Im in Tracy, sometimes they dont have what Id like to buy which bums me out, I think they stopped carrying one item all together, its the only place I know had it too. They have good sale on occasion. Overall its a decent store.

The store is great in all aspects except one, that is the staff dont trust anyone that comes in the store, it seems you have to build a rapport with the Employees or your followed and not trusted it seems as I see them doing it to people all the time, but its clean and they carry things you have never seen anywhere else .

This Safeway location is a really nice one. Polite employees and the management takes their customer service they provide to their shoppers, very seriously and are efficient in doing so. Plus this location also has a gas station which have redeemable fuel discounts available to customers that shop with them when they enter their telephone number.

Due to COVID19 changed to pickup only and the clerks have done a great job so far filling my orders.

Nice clean store with plenty of employees on hand to offer their assistance. It was early in the morning during my visit so there was only 1 cashier available and the self-check outs were not open yet even though there were 2 female employees standing there chatting. I asked if they were in use and she replied no. But still I was helped quickly.The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because despite the fact they boast if a cafe located in the store, they do not sell coffee. They have a bakery that sell delicious baked goods, donuts to die for, cookies, pastries, pies, cakes, tarts, breads, muffins, and anything else you can think of, coffee is not an option. And I am speaking of prepared not like Folgers in the can. That was disappointing cause I wanted coffee with my very fresh, wonderful donuts. Custard filled, glazed, jelly filled, chocolate, sprinkles, sugar, bear claws, apple turn overs, frosted, plain, cake, etc., etc. All delicious, the best around, in my opinion.They also offer fresh produce, awesome meat and fish choices, a large frozen food department, fun, funky seasonal items, a huge variety of imported and domestic cheeses & wines, dairy selection isnt the best but its enough. Usually have great prices on there sodas, however, their cereal prices are expensive as is their canned foods but overall, its a clean, comfortable place to shop with a large selection, including organic and speciality & hard to find goods. They offer great sales, helpful staff who will actually still bag your groceries for you and help you to your car if needed. They have a courtesy desk up front and a well stocked deli counter.Plenty of parking including handicapped.

Very clean and well organized, staff is usually courteous and im appreciative of their efforts to expedite service in these hectic times.

They didnt have the kit available they said they did when I called. Keep in mind I came all the way from modesto to get this cake. They didnt even apologize for the mistake.
