Had a bad transmission in my lexus. Brought on from another mechanics mistakeBought one that never showed up off of ebay. Talked to AJ the owner and he told me if I got another he would put it in no.problem. That new transmission was put in my Lexus by professionals that know what they are doing . I had a great customer experience at AAMCO! Was having weird noise issues and I thought it was the wheel bearing. It turned out that it wasn’t. Have a 2009 Hyundai Genesis with an air conditioner that started to blow hot air this past week. My wife took it to AAMCO on Auto Plaza Drive. This was our first visit ... so there was apprehension. After receiving a thorough explanation of their diagnostic steps from AJ, we proceeded. The technician, Gerrardo, discovered that the condenser was leaking and needed to be replaced. Now we have our air conditioner properly functioning just in time for another impending excessive heat wave. The turnover was just a day (had to order the new condenser for an older model) and the total cost was more than reasonable. We will continue to rely on AJ and the technicians at AAMCO for our future needs. Thank you to the entire team at Auto Plaza Drive.

It’s always feels a little sketchy taking a car in for repair because you just want the truth and not to be taken advantage of. This Aamco was fantastic and I’m more than pleased. AJ was great on the phone, got me right in for an appointment to get my Check Engine light off. He did a preliminary look right away, did the diagnostic and repair and I was back in my truck in less than 3 hours. Solid and fair pricing, very up-front communication, and good repair. I’ll have no worries going back there for any transmission work and I’ll be telling friends too.

My name is Jose and this is my first time ever acquiring services from this place.I needed my transmission to be replaced but didnt want to leave my vehicle with just any mechanic, I like to do most of the maintenance on my vehicle due to bad experiences with shady mechanics. A friend recommended this place since I find transmission work to be a pain in the rear and let me tell you it was all well worth it.The owner who is known as A.J is very friendly and very communicative and the service was thurough and quick. I had an A/C problem. Went there, was charged nothing to have it looked at. AJ, the manager called me informing me of the problem and the cost of the part required, as well as the labor. He received the part & found it to be the wrong part. AJ went out of his way to take pictures of the broken part and the incorrect part received. He then went on to call all over, trying to locate the correct part. He emailed me pictures of the part needed as well, so I could assist him in the search for the correct part, as I was planning on driving out of state two days later, back east, where its miserably hot and I needed AC!!! So the correct part was located, and while I waited there(as I had no ride) he put everything on pause and installed the correct part in all of 20 minutes, charging me only for labor. And he did a beautiful job!!! My AC runs cold, on low, and in my face!!! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND AAMCO TRACY to anyone requiring quality repair work on their vehicle. If I ever end up back in San Joaquin County to live and need work done on my vehicle, I will definitely call AAMCO!!!

I had great experience. This is the second time going to this shop. They were professional with their customer service and when I got several quotes on two major services being done they were substantially lower than several other shops. When things were held up out of their control, waiting for parts, they made things right. This will definitely be one of the shops that I will always consider. The manager, AJ was very helpful and accommodating. I took my Range Rover in for brakes and cabin filter. I was in and out in no time. Even worked out to leave and come back when the part arrived so I could get in and out in an hour tops! Tracy AAMCO is fair and honest and will only give you what you absolutely need and things that can wait they guide you in that respect as well.

This was my first time getting any part of my vehicle serviced and I wasn’t disappointed. I was also referred by a friend who had gotten his transmission serviced a few months ago at this same location and was pleased with their service. I had given them a call on Christmas Eve to get a quote on a starter for my car and I made an appointment right away. My starter had went out completely the night before and needed to replace it as soon as possibly. I got to the business and was greeted right away by AJ I believe his name was. Informed him about the issue of my car and filled him in on it for sure being the starter. The replacement only took about an hour, which he had estimated over the phone when I made the appointment. My car starts up so smoothly now. No delay whatsoever. I am very pleased with their customer service, mechanical services and result in the repairs. I will definitely be back for other repairs and maintenance. AJ offered to look up for prices for either an aftermarket and or dealer part for a motor mount replacement and will give me a call once he finds out. I’m definitely happy with my choice in AAMCO.

AJ was so helpful from the first initial call. I brought my car to a different shop and was getting ran around in circles. I call AAMCO and spoke to AJ and he was so honest with his opinions and suggestions. Since then I’ve chose to bring my car to him based off the simple fact that he’s honest about what you need, what you don’t need and the prices. He even noticed that my transmission mount needed to be fixed when the shop who ‘fixed’ my transmission either didnt notice or chose not to tell me about it. Thank you AJ!!

Took my car to aamco, I was told there is a problem with my transmission and they looked at my car and found out the problem was with my power steering pump. I paid 1/5 of the price that I was told and I got my car back the same day. I like their honesty and customer service. I found my mechanic shop. Highly recommend others to go there too.

We brought our 2000 Lexus to these guys and, for what we felt was a very decent price, got a lot of work done. Its hard to trust anyone who works on cars these days and this experience was great. Thats why Im writing this. The honest ones are few and far between, and Im happy to report these guys are in that group!

Worse experience ever - waste of time and money. Took my Jeep in for a transmission replacement in July 2018 and within a week of getting it back the car started to have problems. Car would slam into 1st gear when decelerating. Took my car back a total of 7 times for the same issue. On the 7th time they said my car was sent to the dealership for factory resetting, not sure if they really did.6+ months later my car is still not running right. Im done with taking time off from workfor them to attempt to fix with no results.I caution anyone with taking their car here and avoid wasting time and money.This will be reported to the BBB.

Took my 4runner here to have them check a rattle under the gear shift and to see if the 4 wheel drive was working properly. They said it was running really rough so they should do a diagnostic, ok. Well $700 later (including being charged the $99 diagnostic fee they said they would waive if we had work done) the problem was not fixed. They will get you to replace stuff you dont want. My husband just spent the day on it (which he didnt want to do hence the reason we took it to a shop) and it was missing transmission bolts they never mentioned...and the linkage wasnt connected hence the rattle. Neither things they mentioned after having the car for 3 days and both items we asked them to check. They did recommend replacing the drive shaft (doesnt need), which we declined and went and picked it up thank goodness. Altogether very dissappointed with the work that was done as we feel like they were milking us for $ and never addressed the problem we wanted looked at. I would get a second opinion before you have them do work.

Went into the office and asked if they could pull the code for my check engine light. This takes maybe 60 seconds to do... the guy said I would need an appointment the next week to do this.**there was nobody else in the lobby**Total customer fail
