It was nice, lots of books and all the used ones were in good condition. Employees didnt wear masks at all though, other then that amazing service and great selection.

So happy to have found this Baltimore gem. I’m hoping the owner can keep things going, even in this current climate. I stopped in just today and he was so friendly and helpful. The store has a good selection, and very reasonable prices. (Buy 3 used books, get one free!) You should definitely go. You won’t be disappointed.

An average of $8-$9 for a used book seems rather high. I can get books cheaper at library sales, yard sales, thrift stores or Nextdoor. I’m able to get a wide variety of good books this way Also, it’s more profitable for Ukazoo if they accept donated books but won’t buy them. I wonder if they’ll ever buy books again.

I haven’t found a used bookstore near my new town of Towson so I was thrilled to find this one. Thank goodness google maps knew exactly where this was because I never did see a store sign. Loved the selection of used and new books. Loved their buy 3 used get 1. A bag load of books for about $65 in our case was a great visit.

This is now my favorite used bookstore. Clean, organized, and well stocked. Was given friendly help finding a series I was looking for. Looking forward to going back soon.

This new location is tiny, and VERY hard to find considering where theyre located.Perhaps some sort of a large sign to let people know where you are would help? I drove around in circles looking for it, and right as I was about to give up I see a tiny little sign in the window that said, Used Books.I remember the old location being much larger, and with many MANY more choices. This location has barely one bookshelf per genre, and the store is so small I cant see them being able to add more.Not to mention that I wasnt greeted by the employee as I entered, who I noticed was wearing earbuds, and probably wasnt paying attention anyway.Im sad to say I really dont see myself coming here anymore. I used to be a regular until the old location closed down, and frankly Wonderbook and Video is considerably better at this point, with far more choices. It wasnt worth the drive until now.

My family loves to browse this store and we never leave empty handed. They have also ordered books for us when we asked and even told us when a book we asked about world be cheaper to get somewhere else. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

This is my favorite used bookstore. You can find it all. My son has just started teaching Middle School English and needs a library for his students. My visit to Ukazoo was a gold mine.

Recently stopped and was ecstatic with what I found. I love used bookstores, and had been looking for one for awhile. Ukazoo is exactly what I was looking for. It has a great selection of all genres of books; including a large childrens section. The staff is very friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend this store to anyone who likes books.

This place is a true hidden gem for any bibliophile. Used books galore. Solid selection from fiction to kids books. Prices are all very reasonable. This is my favorite book store in MD.

The store is smaller than the Towson store, which limits the inventory, however the prices are hard to beat! The store is clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, they did not have what I was looking for, but many other customers had handful of books.

I never knew this store was here. I am an avid reader and I was picking up a book that I will be covering with a mentor. They are, to my understanding, so dont quote me a used and new bookstore. They have a deal where you can get 3 books and the 4th one is free. The staff were very helpful and answered all of my questions. I always think it is a good idea to support local businesses. I will repeat when I am looking for some new material.

Such a under-utilized gem! Buy 3 get one free makes inexpensive used books all the better value. Ukazoo takes excellent care the materials they sell and I can always count on finding childrens books I havent seen elsewhere. We need to support book shops like these - wonderful!

A gem of a bookstore right on a main drag in Towson. They have an extensive collection of new and used books, with a knowledgeable and helpful staff that will point you in the right direction for your next favorite book. Uzakoo used to my favorite bookstore. The store felt warm, inviting and full of interesting finds. This new location feels colds, bland and personally I cant find anything interesting to read. The old location was better and variety stronger

Very nice book store lots of used books and reasonable prices. You can even bring you old books in to to a fair offer from them to buy from you, sometimes not though but dont let that hurt your feelings. Just take them to a thrift store it was worth a try. Parking is easy and lots of spaces.

Its a cozy little book store I expected the selection to be pretty small due to the size but I was very surprised. It was like a small library. I found a translation of Hamlet that has been eluding me for years. Very happy with the visit it was also my first visit so we will se how this goes after I have been there a few times.

Owning a small business is really hard these days, so if you or your kids are looking for a book, check here first! The prices are so good, and with a buy 3 get 1 free deal, and a teacher discount with ID, Ive already picked up around 20 books from here.Im giving it 4 stars instead of 5 only because the storefront is extremely difficult to find. I had to drive around a bit!

New books,old books, and some in between! Very comfortable with complimentary coffee and tea. A lovely place to spend your whole day reading, literally Ive spent from open to close in there reading. They have very comfy armchairs like you would see in your living room aswell as a section where you can sit at a table with friends and discuss a book or have a book club meeting. I have also seen there they have some authors come in, so if youre an author looking to present your book this is a good place to start. Friendly staff, great prices.

The store has a wonderful selection, but I was really disappointed in the cash buy back price which amounted to about a half dollar a piece for some excellent titles. If I had done store credit, it would have been twice that, but I couldnt do that with an estate sale. I think I could have done better selling the books at a yard sale.

I both sell and buy at this store. They carry a small selection of current titles and lots of good condition used books at great prices. The people are friendly and the place is well kept and clean. If you want to sell books, be sure your expectations are in line. You dont get a lot, but they are reselling them cheap and they only take what they need. And you are supporting a local business. I highly recommend checking this place out before a major chain bookstore.

Ukazoo is a community treasure. They have settled well into their new location and its great to know that Towsons redevelopment didnt succeed in booting out this awesome store. Staff is attentive, the selection is diverse, and overall it just is everything you want from a small used book store. Great every time I come to shop.

Still got shelves and basement boxes of books? This is the place to turn them in for money. This book store stands out from others used stores, It is well organized with a great selection. The staff is eager to help and knows the inventory pretty well. One thing I noticed compare to other used book stores is there is no musky smell of old dingy books.

Ive never shopped here but ive sold my books to them and the employees largely seem unhappy to do it. I dealt with 3 different people here and when they saw me come in with books none of them greeted me, and they seemed less than friendly. Maybe its their least favorite part of the job, but it would be nice to deal with friendly people when doing business.

This is a great place to buy a book. All the other bookstores are gone, but we still have Ukazoo. The used books are cheaper than anything you can buy online, and their selection is wonderful.

I can handle the high prices for new books what I dont like is the poor customer service. When asked about a certain author and title, the clerk said never heard of him. He didnt offer to even look up the auther or book. So we took our business elsewhere . Its a shame the old location was great they would always look something up and get it for you. Wont be back.

I really miss their old location on Dulaney Valley Rd., which was spacious and inviting. The new spot isnt as cozy, doesnt have as much character and seems to have a much smaller inventory. Still, Ill keep making an effort to come just to support the local independent book store.

This unassuming bookstore located off of Loch Raven Boulevard in Towson is a Charming way to discover new books. New, only in the figurative sense, as they have a host of used books for sale here. You can also trade in your books for store credit or cash. I found the staff to be quite Pleasant and willing to help you search their stacks for a particular book you are searching for.

Blech. This used book store seems to be led by someone who stopped reading in the 90s and has little idea of what modern books are interesting. If you like young adult fiction, dont bother. They accept too many ragged and incomplete books. So disappointing to an avid reader.

Local, used bookstore. I believe this is the last remaining in the area. They feature an exhaustive section of used books, including comics and audiobooks, as well as a small section of new books. The prices are fantastic.

Great little bookstore. Used and new, nice selection of sci-fi and fantasy, very friendly staff. Its a little hard to see from the street because its tucked away in the back corner of a plaza, but definitely worth stopping in if youre looking for a book store that isnt Barnes & Noble.

It doesnt feel as cool as the old one. I only looked at childrens books and found several books priced over the publishers printed price. I took ~40 books to sell, they bought 4 and I made $1.32 in store credit. While I know the used book market is a dying one, Ukazoo isnt doing anything to improve what remains of it. For me, it was a waste of time and effort (40 hardcover books arent light to carry around!). Next time Ill take my booksa few blocks farther down Joppa Rd to Savers, do curbside donation and purchase from their used book section that has a larger, broader and cheaper selection of kids books.

Small used bookstore. Not a huge selection, but has a little bit of everything. They do buy used books daily, and will let you know which they want and what theyll pay either in cash or store credit. Located on a busy intersection, but there is a sizeable parking lot next to the building.

Great Place, I like the atmosphere. Cheap Books Wide selection. The book buy back is not all that great, takes a little long and Ive never got too much back for what they would take (which is not much although it is all relative). Ive made more money returning books to college books stores. Also I did use the bathroom and was rushed by one of the employees there. Didnt really care for that.

I enjoy taking my 3 year old here to get birthday presents for friends. Just not sure how the kids section is organized.

The worst service ever seen. Bad attitude.They do not accept books because of water damage. However some of my books are not damaged by rain. The book store closes at 4:00 but we came in at 3:15, they said they could not accept books any more because it was almost time closed. And they accepted books for really ridiculous price. It cost me almost 1000 dollars to buy the books but they only give me 30 dollars when I sold them to the book store. And my books were barely used.
